Rydges South Bank Brisbane Review

Ideally located right next to the BCEC with a walk through link.

Again another pleasant weekend stay at Rydges Brisbane Southbank, from the Valet to housekeeping and all the team members between, all happy and nothing was too much, albeit we needed little.

Breakfast was great with lovely ambiance, night function on the 12th floor was great with the superb views of Brisbane river and city, and the food was wonderful, in taste and presentation and the staff again were happy and very helpful.

Again well done Team Rydges Brisbane, we will see you again

I booked one night on 26th January in a Superior Twin requesting a view if possible. I had a little trouble finding the entry from Grey Street but on arrival our room was as good as the site image,very clean and worth the star rating. As in all hotels the mini bar was missing stuff but I always check them. If you want to stay close to South Bank you could not find a better location and the ferry was just across the park. We also got our requested view which I hope you can all get to enjoy.

Had a dinner function for work at Rydges South Bank. The food was excellent and the staff were exceptional. The view over Brisbane from level 12 is wonderful as well.

Great location. Event was well organised and run. Food was delicious, and the staff were lovely. The conference room was huge and the amenities were close by. Good choice of venue for an event.

Nice and clean hotel. The smell in the lobby was amazing....friendly and helpful staff too. Conveniently located.

I recently spent a night here with my partner and it was pretty nice! Room was clean and comfortable, and it was situated in a pretty good location. It was within reasonable walking distance to train stations, as well as many restaurants and other stores. Staff were very friendly and treated us well.
My only minor issue was with - as someone else said - the bathroom design (it was near-impossible to avoid getting the entire bathroom floor wet while showering, and the bathroom faucet was awkwardly close to the sink, decreasing the functionality). I know it's unreasonable for a hotel to upgrade dozens, if not hundreds of rooms. But it still warrants mentioning, because these features impacted our stay.
Also, this is a very small comment, but my partner and I nave also had the pleasure of staying at Rydges in Fortitude Valley. In comparison, the FV hotel had a wider variety of television channels, and an easier process of connecting to wifi (not that Rydges South Bank was particularly difficult, it just had more steps).
Anyway, as these, were only minor issues I've still given a good rating. I really enjoyed my stay here, and wouldn't object to staying again.

From the moment we arrived we felt like VIPs. The concierge were courteous, polite and helpful. Check in was a breeze and they even had a little surprise in our room (for my birthday). View was spectacular. Our stay was awesome and the staff and service were top rate

OUR ONLY CONCERN WAS THE DISABLED ROOM, FOR MY WIFE, THOUGH VERY COMFORTABLE, THE BED WAS WAY TOO HIGH. BEING IN A WHEELCHAIR, IT MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE BED. COMMANDO ROLL HALF A DOZEN TIMES A NIGHT. APART FROM THIS, I CAN HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE. VERY HANDY TO MANY VENUES AND EATING ESTABLISHMENTS, INCLUDING THEIR OWN RESTURANTS WITH MANY FINE DISHES

Great hotel. Sleeps is fantastic, food is good and all amenities are great. Particularly loved the hot tub and sauna

Easy WiFi, Go Green choice, fantastic views of the city, in the middle of beautiful Southbank.

Attended the degustation Chef Valentino Marcattilii at Bacchus. Service and staff was perfection. Attentive, friendly, and quality. My felt welcomed and well taken care of. Food was unlike I've had before. This event was well worth it, and a one in a lifetime experience. Each course really showed the expertise of these well known chefs. I cant wait to come back. I think I may need to get a room so I can just sleep well afterwards :)

Tucked away in the heart of Southbank with well appointed rooms

Very nice hotel. Staff was cheerful and helpful. Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Complimentary breakfast was available. The location was perfect. I would surely stay here again.

Staff while helpful didn't seem coordinated. very noisy only the higher floors have a river view

My colleague booked this with the company credit card for my business stay, I had to then provide my personal card to block payment when I arrived. I stressed that this would be paid for by my company on the card used for booking. I travelled out on business but kept my room, the hotel sent me a written notice that my bill required settling, I had no indication that you would use my credit card but you went ahead with no notification that payment had been taken until I returned to the UK to find the invoice on my card.

Close to restaurants and city Centre. Very comfortable place to stay.

We arrived at the hotel early, around 9am, thinking we would have to leave our bags and go kill a few hours. However our room was ready which was nice. I upgraded my room for $40 a night the day before and found a nice sized suite with all the bells and whistles. The room was lovely, we had a comfortable stay and couldn't have been any happier with it. All this for about $250 a night, great deal.

Great location friendly staff and a great hotel, much nicer rooms since the last upgrade and very modern. If you're looking for a place around Southbank you won't be disappointed here.

I attended a town hall meeting in podium room 4. I found it a little hard to find and coukd hear people speaking in the room next to us.

Our room was dark and bed was a bit smaller but staff are wonderful and friendly

Very close to restaurants and South Bank beaches. Rooms good but facilities lacking, pool closes daily at 6pm.

Surprisingly very nice, but a bit uncompetitively priced. Awesome location. Pricey valet parking only, so better if you're without a car. Attentive service.

Fantastic hotel... Rooms were lovely and the beds sooooo comfy. Best service at the CBD for Breakfast, even though there was only 1 guy on, he totally nailed the whole service.... Highly recommended.

Friendly bar staff with a mellow atmosphere. Great for a late nightcap.

Just ok. Nice bar on the first floor with a pool. Not many people on Saturday night. Bar service is friendly but lacking. Small bar I was at one end and he would not serve me. I had to stand in front before he noticed. Cocktails are over priced.

The view is amazing, good food and the layout of the rooftop venue for a wedding reception is perfect. The combination of sunset views and city views makes for a memorable night.

I stayed here for 2 nights with Endless Summer Escape package. The room was very comfortable with beautiful interior, and all staff are very kind and friendly. The location is great with easy access to city and Southbank. Most of all, the breakfast was the best I ever had. Definitely I will stay this hotel again if I visit Brisbane. Thank you for your excellent hospitality.

Payed a premium price and got a room with a brick wall as a view. Don't stay here. Beds are rock hard and rooms are dirty

Very friendly right from the first phone call when booking in right through to being hand our keys from the valet on departure. The free room upgrade as a 'welcome back' was much appreciated. Will be coming back!

Service was great, our twin deluxe room was perfect and very clean. Breakfast was nice, no criticisms at all.
