When Venue 13 is in Edinburgh it is the most fantastic experience. People look forward to it every year. Most entertaining with new shows each year and the staff are amazing. Sorry when it all comes to an end but now looking forward to 2018. My dog Sooty will be nonplussed when he ventures out and everyone has gone home to Wales. He so much likes being fussed over; a typical pomeranian. Until next year....
Ronan Radin, one of the most talentless, useless and irrelevant actors ever!! Quite tragic when the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama use to have many supreme actors graduating. Not anymore it would seem. A national review of the entire Edinburgh festival from Kate Nora gives Ronan Radin a two star rating and that was being kind from the plethora of mistakes and ill thought out work on his interpretation of Hairspray,Suicide pact etc. Embarrassing and cringeworthy to read from one of Broadway's most important reviewers Kate Nora, but she was absolutely right.
Went to see my son play in the National Youth Brass Band of Wales here. They were amazing. The venue is so inspirational too. Plenty of parking in the surrounding streets and there is parking onsite for disabled badge holders.
Nice caff in an amazing building. Staff could try and show a bit more interest though.
'Christmas on Broadway' - Masters Students in Musical Theatre Studies. Such a talented bunch of performers, the orchestra were superb too. We enjoyed every minute of this musical extravaganza, and it was such a treat to kick-start Christmas. I wouldn't be surprised if I saw any of these young in people again in West End productions. I wish them all well for the future and really look forward to seeing where they go next. Highly recommend you also look out for Cabaret shows regularly staged in the foyer of the college (they are free too, shhhhh). Very well done.
I don't play an instrument, but two stars for the nice building and decent bathrooms
Amazing place to study your instrument to the highest level. Hard work and dedication needed but if you're willing to put in the effort, you'll have the best days of your life here!
Always an amazing place. My son attended and has really enjoyed his time. The opportunities afforded him have been astounding and I am sure he will look on this place with amazing affection. Beautiful designed building and the acoustics in the concert hall and theatre are brilliant.
The RWCMD is a very special place. It is much more than a drama school and if you are so lucky enough to be accepted - just go. The teaching is caring, outstanding and the professionals who work there are some of the very best in the industry. You will grow to love this place, as we all did.
Friendly atmosphere, lovely public service and a wonderful array of both musical and theatrical performances throughout the year
Attended a wedding reception here a couple of years back - fantastic venue for such an event. The central area is great for dining and dancing later on with the outer area a good suntrap as well. Staff were all very good at the time too.
The staff on the coffee counter were very scruffy and extremely rude , avoid at all costs !!
Great music on a Friday from a great bunch of musicians who appear at venues all around Cardiff and the UK. Try and make it there if you can.
Gorgeous building, great cafe, loads of free music and drama exhibitions, unique day out
An incredible place to study. The staff support you 100%, and there are always lot's of events to take part in. I would highly recommend it to any one looking to study drama or music.
Attending a medical conference here and the staff are superb friendly. Came down with our wee one and they went out off their way to get the baby some food. Friendly atmosphere and an awesome venue
Really lovely space with the opportunity to see some great artists.
Very nice place, very wonderful college, best preparation for students , best professor, very good all ambiance.
Wonderful performance spaces with its concert hall and theatre which host many major artists/shows, as well as student concerts and theatre productions. Jazz is played in the foyer on certain days. RWCMD is a very highly rated music & drama conservatoire.
Went to see the cabaret performance on Thursday and what a stunning performance by the cast. The band was on point and a fantastic venue. HARD to beat.
Good space for appreciation new compositions from a range of tallented musical artists. The space is defined into a wooden panel auditorium and more studio like performance rooms. Outside architecture adds to the contemporary look of modern Cardiff.
Impressive building. Richard Burton theatre was an excellent intimate space for Rambert2 dance company.
