One of the most amazing, Mesmerising huge idols of Lord Shiva. You can't stop seeing the lord. It's looks so live. A Must to visit for all. The construction happening at the back of the lord shiva idol, outside the temple premise, is something, which should have been taken care by the temple management.

When I visited this place in early 2000's when kids Kemp fort was here and visited this place after very long time lot of difference .. it's a commercial place than a temple ... Compalsary 150 rs ticket no free entry ... The poojari does not know kannada .... You can imagine the om my god movie in reality.... But still the majestic shiva idol is center of attraction
Sorry this is not a temple. It's like a commercial place. They charged 150 rupees as entry fee. Artificial narrow cave is not suitable for elders and shouted people. I don't know how they got construction plan clearance from concern department. For those who want to see this place for first time, please think twice before go there.
It's a private temple. Need to pay, even to get in. Aprat from that persists inside will loot you for additional poojas. I personally didn't had any feel of entering into a temple.
Temple is built in nice way, I love the cave design. Bt u ve to pay money for entrance and to do any Pooja u must pay for it. Good time to visit is in the mrg or eve.during shivaratri temple decoration was nice. Books related to shiva r available. Nice place.
Dear managers or whatever at - Shivoham Shiva Temple. You need to keep the loudspeaker volume down. Like seriously way down. I get it you want to praise the God and all, but why don't you keep it to yourselves and within the boundaries of mandir. Your place is really beautiful, i'm sure neighborhood appreciates the scenery but seriously irritating loud speaker usage ruins it all. PS: Now that you have stopped responding to my calls, I have filed two police complaints and have no plans to stop filing more until you guys cooperate here. Om Namah Shivay.
They are kinda BEGGARS like earning crores and crores from public using GOD's name. Per head Rs. 250. Such a arrogant management. Don't encourage these kind of people and completely avoid these kind of money mind organisations. They are disgrace to the spiritual department. My rating is -1 (no star)
Fully commercial, it's no doubt beautiful place to see but be ready to pay bugs at every place. Please don't be in hurry to pay and proceed in normal que or come out.
I had never seen this much big statue of lord Shiva. It's a very nice temple. The only bad thing is that they are charging too much as an entry fees. They should have to reduce the entry fees.
Good place to visit in morning time 150 Rs per head for all the poojas and other spiritual activities. Other gate is there of free entry. Om Namah Sivaay!
My husband and I left this temple feeling hugely disappointed and like we had been scammed. It actually made us both feel very uneasy. The top entrance had a man selling offerings and I thought 100 rupees was okay for that as I was expecting the rest to be free and offering to a shrine is important. Further in we were told it was 250 rupees each, I could see a sign and entrance saying 'Free entry' but we were told because we were foreigners we had to pay. We just wanted to see the statue but they took us round to these different stations which were rushed and made it feel like we were on a conveyor belt (these were included in the ticket price). At one point we were told to pray and before we could even think about something to say, we were whisked off somewhere else. Then we were taken to another station where we were asked to give a 500 rupees donation (we had already given a donation at a previous station) and they seemed unhappy when I said no. Towards the way out there were more people asking for donations and it made us both feel very uncomfortable. The place felt tacky and lacked the calm and meaningful feeling that I've experienced in many other Hindu temples. This is such a shame as it could be so different. Elements of it such as burning incense, placing a candle on the water and lighting the wax in the metal holders were interesting; however they were overshadowed by the constant feeling that this was a money making exercise rather than a spiritual one. I would advise people to avoid this place. There are so many better temples.
This is not a temple this is a place where the temple authority is making business out of the place! Entry fee 150 and 200 just to visit temple seriously bad. But the temple is beautiful and wonderful ambience
Worst place. Totally money minded people here. They unnecessarily create a long waiting time in general queue and ask people to buy special entrance ticket. Avoid this place. They are demanding money for every thing inside. On the way to exit, sewage pipes from the mall is leaking and spills over us. The parking area also heavily damaged, BDA should investigate this place soon. A place which happening as perfect example for commercialized temple.
The background music in meditation area is pretty bad. Temple staff is lazy and rude. Rest, if you are devotee of lord shiva, you can visit this place while you are in bengaluru.
beware of money looting cheap behaving management here, they loot in the name of lord shiva, They say entry is free, but don't say that it is post 10.00 PM. hence you end up buying a ticket which available in 100 (only idol visit from park), 150 (idol + cave), 250 (special pooja).
Let s make it clear first, this is not a temple! You should be able to guess this when you see a hoarding with the tag line the most powerful shiva statue in the world
This place seems more like an exhibition! Beware the staffs here are thieves in disguise and will not answer your questions and will just showoff themselves with their pathetic English, you will be charged 150Rs for normal entry and 250Rs for special entry (NO FREE ENTRY)
My recommendation/ request would be to just visit a better temple or offer free food for the needy in streets ! their blessings are beyond words and lord Shiva will feel happy.
And yes this place accepts visa and mastercards for the cashless experience !
It started as a Shiva statue behind the erstwhile Kemp Fort, before becoming a mini temple and a minor tourist destination of Bangalore in its own right.
What's special about this place? - Probably the biggest Shiva statue in Bangalore and it looks good. - It was painted blue originally, the current color is more classy. - The older folk seem to be quite keen on seeing this, whenever I have senior citizen visitors, I take them here and they go all gaga over this statue.
What is not good? - Though the basic temple should be free, they try to push visitors into paying for non-essential things. - They are running a business, agreed, but don't make it so obviously commercial. - Other than the Shiva statue, everything else is not worth it, so skip everything.
Tip: Park at the Mall, Check out the Shiva statue, Skip all the other 'Linga Darshan' and other paid stuff, go to McD's in the mall and you can probably get your parking coupon redeemed if you are buying a burger.
The highest and most magnificent Shiva Temple I have ever seen! This hidden jam is impressive with its 20-meter height. It's a must see for people who are interested in architecture of such type.
P.s. I did not enter it , but saw the statue from outside.
Magnificent Shiva statue, beautiful shivlings and char dham Yatra. Very beautiful temple. They do meditation from night 12 to morning 6. Generally the main gate is open from 9. Am but for special Pooja we can enter from another gate from Kemp fort mall in which they have tickets and the minimum ticket is of rupees 50/. Very nice and calming experience in morning.
Google map will take you to the backside, from there you can view half of the idol and also park your vehicle. Temple is on main road, so parking may be a challenge, so better use public transport.
Even such a temple exists in Bengaluru!!! Pure money making stuff. If u have a little left devotion you ll loose even that. Employees are trained well how to cut the heads## they print ticket before taking money and they once they do so u forced to pay.they sag it's free entry but nothing is free.!!!! Worst experience ever! For everything theres money except oxygen and sitting place.
Its a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva..Very nicely maintained and clean. It is not accessible to wheel chairs or strollers. It looks good but I feel its bit commercialized. They charge Rs. 150 per head per entry through the door after 9 pm which is at the base of kemp fort mall. This extrance is open 24 /7. The temple is generally crowded during Maha shivratri and other auspicious days.
Not worth visiting this place for so much money. I was not atall amused atall. Its not a temple, call it as a exhibition centre with people who charge for each ride apart from entry ticket. Pay this much for abhishek, pay this for coconut, pay this for 108 chanting. What kind of group of cheaters came up with this idea and strongly request people not to popularise this place. Its a blot on our own spirituality and culture.
