"COMMERCIAL TEMPLE ", WORST EXPERIENCE FOR TEMPLE VISIT, if you are planning for peaceful visit my suggestion is not to visit this place because temple staff/people there will try to manipulate/confuse things just to sell there tickets. Ones we come out of temple we feel cheated and they people play with our feelings.

I was disappointed when I had to buy a ticket to enter .. but it seems if we argue, they will allow.

This is mistake from management side

The statue is so big and awesome . We can feel the divine presence in front of lord Shiva

The place looks like Kailasam.. the theme is similar to that .. white mountain surrounding Lord's statue .

Its good to visit.

Entrance of the temple is immediately next to Kempfort mall which is like a cave inside shivalinga statue. The queue was normal but didn't move at all; then we came to know that the staff there was actually canvassing people to take up special dharshan even if they were not willing to. This took really long time. Somehow went in the line for free dharshan. Again inside they said we need to take 50/- ticket even for general queue. We took it without choice.
That 50 is for visiting the caves which was actually worth it. People can take photos, videos.. no restrictions. The main Shiva statue was really stunning and that surrounding gave some sort of relaxation. Overall, one can visit this temple cum commercialized space for an experience. Shiva statue and the caves were so divine.

The corridor is very small & very suffocating & very dangerous if crowded, no ventilation, no source of fresh air. We & some other ran back & escaped ourselves from this corridor due to suffocation. I suggest not to go on holidays & mondays.

I had an absolute pleasure visiting this place...it's a unique temple... As they say never judge a book by its cover... similarly don't judge this temple by it's entrance, which is adjacent to kemfort mall...but the cave takes you to totally different place....away from the hustle bustle of the city...it's a calm n serene place ....

Good place to visit, however I have never came across such a corrupted temple ever. Entry is free of cost, however staff will always try their level best to grab money from people, especially who visited for 1st time. You only need to pay for special darshans. I stopped visiting this place now.

Highly commercial temple. All attention of management to extract money out of people. They can go next step by putting sponsors name on temple idols. Nice temple if you can ignore the greed.

It is a small and a beautiful temple with a feeling of Himalayas around.
This tall and beautifully structured Shiva idol is the main attraction of the temple.
The pathway to it is very dark and long and it looks like a tunnel that you have to pass through reach the Shiva idol.
Water falls from his hair and you can actually feel the drops and mist in the premises.
Their the temple monks and all try to pick you for various poojas and unnecessary offerings and some show or tour of the temple, be aware of that and try not to fall for that.

I must say this place is awesome. One shouldn't miss this temple if you're in Bengaluru. The sight of huge Shiva statue will land you up in spiritual world. The place is frequented by devotees on weekends and on festivals. Special poojas will be performed on Maha Shiva Ratri here. There is a free entry darshan which will let you see the Shiva statue and there is a Rs.150 darshan which let's you go into the caves that explains about 5 main Shiva pilgrim centres (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Amarnath, Haridwar and Rishikesh). One can click as many photographs as they want as there is no restriction on photography.

Visited this temple twice. Huge difference in experience both times.
1st time:Visited at 9.30 pm at night on a Wednesday. Very peaceful, visited the caves, saw the big shiva statue, and they charged 50 rs for diya, thread and agarbatti. That's it, no additional cost. No monks here and there asking for money.
2nd time: Visited Sunday evening around 4pm. At the entry, they charged rs 50 for caves visit, rs 50 for puja items where we can choose 3 out of 7-8 puja options. It was crowdy as well and monks were sitting at all places to check ticket and take money for different pujas. Felt like visiting a museum rather than a temple.
Although the place has been very well maintained and clean, but it is a bit more commercialized than normal temple. Thus recommended to go during off hours or late hours if you need peace of mind.

Management is only looking for money and nothing else. People working there as well are rude.
Went with mom and dad. There is direct entrance from parking for general entry, but guy who was standing there was asking entry fee and if you don t pay they will make you walk all the way around. Statue of shiva is good, but won t call this place a temple.

Nice temple

Nice temple
They collected entrance fee as 500 or 550 per person but that is like special entrance.
Employees cheated us telling this as mandatory entrance fee. When I asked is this entrance ticket or special entrance. They told its normal entrance ticket. I believe it won't be this as normal entrance ticket. Please take care

It provides you a glimpse of the specimens of 12 jyotirlingas and other important Saiva kshetrams in the country . The activities are well organized. Better to visit in the evenings around 7.
