Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks but will never go back due to parking. We were 8 minutes late to our metered spot and it cost us a $44 ticket written 3 minutes after the meter expired. I expect a fine if it expires but $44 is way too much. Count Tempe out of my future.

Picked up my wife from the airport on St. Patrick's day, got a pocket full of cash to have some fun at the Rules Bula. Governor said "extend expiring licenses for 1 year because of Covid-19" shortly before then. My wife is retired and 65. They wouldn't let her in because her license expired 2 weeks prior. Fricken retarded. Never again... Not owned by the Irish I'm thinking or they wouldn't have been so stupid about it.

Perfect place for an outside meal; flowers, music, shade...The service was great. The menu was extensive and diverse. The food was fantastic; Reuben sandwich, salad w/ strawberries and chicken, artichoke dip...get the artichoke dip. Finally, the Guinness; beautiful. Make the trip to Tempe!

Great little bar in the downtown Tempe area. something that's definitely overlooked compared to the other bars around town. Spacious great vibe good food and amazing drinks. Recommend 10 out of 10

Just met a friend for the first time at this location. I am from East and AZ feels like Mexico to me. So when my friend introduced me to this Irish pub I was really excited as I am used to big metropolitan cities where diversity is present at every step of the way. The food was great, the prices was great and the service is also out of this world. I shall return again in future to try out their other food at this location.

OfBlack LEcommend the Black VelvetBei g They can build the perfect Guinness and they also serve delicious food! Next best thing to actually being in Ireland. Service was stellar, even after it got busy. Try the mussels - and for dessert I recommend the Black Velvet, all on the the outside terrace of course.

Overall pretty decent food, but the fish and chips were under seasoned and let quite as crispy as one would help. It was very tender fish however.. We were never visited by a manager to ask about our experience and nobody checked to see how the first couple of bites were. They missed out by looking their menu during the event. They always do that and as a result 8 other friends didn't join us, but I go back often for patio service, especially when I'm there for something like the Tempe arts festival.

The shepherd's pie was absolutely fantastic! The closest thing I have had to a traditional dish since I went Ireland. The staff was very nice and helpful with the menu. Our server, Parker, was awesome and patient with my table as we made our selections. I will definitely come back

Lots of hearty Irish meal options. I had lamb stew which was great, others in my group had corned beef and cabbage and another had chicken pot pie. All were very good. Come try the food for sometime nice and a little different.

Kevin Hearne's "Hounded" had this pub featured for its awesome fish & chips. I had to visit and confirm. Great pub and legendary fish & chips! I even met Granuaile in the person of Heather who works there. Very cool!

It's always lively, and the food is fantastic! Shepherd's Pie and Corned Beef & Cabbage are my favorites. The music inside is always better than outaide, and that's the only downfall. I swear I saw Fred Armisen playing guitar there once.

Absolutely love eating here. Learned about it from one of my favorite book series, the Iron Druid Chronicles and I've been going here ever since. It's a great casual lunch or first date place (believe me, I know)

I tried calling to ask about their hours and how late their kitchen stays open to order food and the man I talked to just hung up on me without saying a word. My boyfriend calls not 5 minutes later and he gets the answer immediately. Needless to say I'm a little upset and offended. I will also not be going there again.

Very good selection of whisky and a few cigars for the back patio. The pours are pretty light, though. Service was always good. It's right on Mill, so it should definitely be a stop if you are taking a stroll. Good vibes, feels just like an old Irish pub. Come check it out for yourself!

Very laid back indoor pub with an outside patio that's a little more energetic. They usually have live music and have a great selection of alcoholic beverages as well as foods and sides. Place has a nice vibe and good seating, I highly recommend this place if youre looking for a bar that you can sit with friends and talk at.

Love the selection of beers on tap, has a nice back home feel to it. Only complaint is the food, ordered the shrimp skewers appetizer, and got 3 skewers, with one shrimp on each skewer, on a pile of greens, kind of weak for 4 bucks if you ask me. May stop in again for a beer, but definitely wont be eating there again.

Had a bit of a long wait for our drinks and our food... But their courtesy and willingness to make up for the slow service MORE than made up for it. Food was really good, and great beer selection

Went to this pub with family, one child ordered fried chicken from the kids meal which was really terrible. The oil it was fried in was likely old. The cut of chicken was mostly fat, stay away from this item, The remainder of food and services was decent. ESPECIALLY the Irish potato chips.

Nicely appointed Irish bar in the heart of ASU. Went for an early dinner. Had a nice side salad and the Chicken curry, which was excellent. Only complaint is that they changed bartenders on me, and the second one disappeared for significant portions of time.

The Guinness on draft here is almost as good as the Guinness in Europe. The Guinness company supervise the installation of the tap. The food is interesting but nothing's as good as that Guinness

Seeing negative reviews for Rula Bula is so strange. I've never had a single problem. Food can be slow to arrive during peak hours but it is always hot and delicious, especially the fish and chips! Ate here Christmas Eve and the craic was laidback and comforting for someone who had nowhere else to be that night. Definitely coming back for New Year's.
