The food was great Irish Pub food and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The music was a bit loud making conversation difficult but we still had a great time.
Amazing food with great service . You don t need to wait long at all .. even if it s busy the kitchen is keeping up for sure!

The Sheppard pie was good. Fish and chips were way... soggy. flavor ok but I couldn't pick up the fish with a fork. Chips some nicely done others under cooked and soggy too. Service was scant but good.

A Guinness oasis in a desert of beer choice! The whiskey flights ain't bad, either! And the Shepard's pie was first rate!

This is an Update. I warned y'all about the fish and chips. I've across the country FOUR TIMES and HAD to make a stop at this fabulous restaurant.
Once, I was camping at the Zuni Mountain Sanctuary near Ramah, New Mexico. I drove six hours, YES, six hours, just to have dinner and see a friend and eat the FISH AND CHIPS! Amazing. And those Hot Bollux...things...ooooo, the cheesy goodness.
The Shepard's pie that Chad devoured was a total riot! I want a Rula Bula back here in Decatur! Such lovely wait staff and always something going on.
One of my favorite places on Mill Ave for something a little more relaxed. Great food, beer/whiskey selection and live music on the weekends. Ask for my favorite bartender, David!

Went to get a late drink and a light dinner. I ordered my customary Rye Whiskey Manhattan and it was made to perfection, and I'm picky with my favorite drink. I had the Sheppard's Pie, which was highly recommended, and as someone who 's in London twice a month, and has had some great Sheppard's Pie, theirs was great. Great service, quality drinks and good food all at the patio bar. What's not to like?

This place has solid fish & chips and shepards pie. Prices are reasonable and servings are generous. We enjoyed the brussel sprouts with apples side dish too! Casual ambiance. Our food came out quick and our server was attentive without being overbearing.
Will definitely come back here next time I'm visiting the area! I hear they have fun trivia nights!
When I arrived, I was amazed with the atmosphere. I truly felt like I was in an authentic Irish establishment. That was really great to escape the stressful day I had. When I looked at the menu, I saw a great variety of choices. Ultimately, I went a classic: the shepherd's pie! The pie was absolutely amazing and generously portioned (to the point that I was able to bring a full-sized portion home for leftovers the next day). In addition, the staff did a great job accommodating for my desire to not have dairy with my meal. The price was very reasonable considering the quality, service, portion and atmosphere I received. Highly recommend!

Great fish and chips! And the stew took me back to me years in Ireland. I read Iron Druid and could pass up to visit the pub Atticus visits. Ordered The Druid and, they lit it on fire. Cool, af.

I ve been coming to Rula Bula for years and I was finally ready to come out because I ve been quarantining myself because of covid so I was really excited to have my first night out. I came to Rula Bula and I was treated so horribly. I don t know our bartenders name cause he was busy and didn t tell me but I felt I was dismissed because I was only one person so they probably assumed I wouldn t tip well. I was just incredibly disappointed with my first night out.

Great Food and Great Service! I have been coming here with my Family for a couple of years and I love it. I very rarely stray from the fish and chips but I do like the shepards pie and their Irish stew. The bread pudding is the best, we never leave without having some!

Issue I have was I went out with Co workers who we all split the bill 5 ways. When I saw I was charged $6 more than what I signed for... $37 meal but was charged $44 on my bank account! I thrown out my receipt right after. This has never happened to me before so didn't think to keep it.

We went on a Friday night and it was extremely busy. We waited 40 minutes for a table. Once we got our table and ordered. I can absolutely say it was worth the wait! We had the wings for an appetizer and ordered the fish for the main course. Some of the best food I have tasted in a long time. The watermelon margarita was soooo good! We will return!

The Rula Bula Irish Pub in Tempe is regrettably just average. The atmosphere is very good and the wait staff were courteous and attentive, but the food and drinks were very disappointing. We had 4 dishes served and 2 of those were subpar. The corned beef and cabbage was made with thinly sliced corned beef, an inauthentic choice for an Irish pub; it ultimately was returned and comped with a contamination problem. One of the 4 drinks was misprepared and also returned and replaced.

Great ambiance and pub feel with a multitude of Irish beer and cider on tap. Food was delicious and tasted authentic according to my friends who have visited the Emerald Isle. The wait staff we're knowledgeable and friendly and I will definitely be visiting again.

Disappointing expectations. Last week five of us all had great meals. Today our group of eight had: forgotten sandwich, Buffalo wings when we ordered the pub wings, out of soup spoons (got a teaspoon instead), and the corned beef plate was sliced lunch meat. I asked why the wings were spicier this week and the manager/owner? shrugged his shoulders.
Great shepherd pie (ranked best in Phoenix) and selection of Irish beers. Irish chips are interesting and worth a try. Lamb stew is awesome. Should definitely get some Irish beers too :)
