Very neat, budget, backpackers' dream. Clear and supportive staff. Well connected to Brendemier and Lavender St. Metro Stations. Lots of food joints and eateries and shoppoing places closeby. Much recommended.
Staff and managers are very helpful I think their names are mitch carole and francis.. u can rely on them.. they are too patient to answer your queries. :) the place is very clean and well maintained.
For the price, its a awesome place! I liked everything accept the location, a bit far, but there is a mrt station nearby. Staff is helpful and friendly! Good experience.
Staff was so nice and helpful! Rooms could be nicer but the important thing is that it was clean. Location was not the best but definitely worth the money.
Rucksack Inn @ Lavender has expanded to 150 beds, the biggest backpackers hostel in Singapore! Cozy and clean and comfortable hostel at wallet-friendly prices. Take your pick from bunk beds, pods and private rooms. Psst Rucksack Inn have a rooftop terrace too!
very nice hostel with full meaning from all sides ,great deal , clean ,helpful staff and professional , nice atmosphere and hostel mates .I recommended for anyone visiting Singapore.
Nice cosy hostel, for a pocket friendly stay in Singapore. The staff is courteous and really helpful. The plus are cleanliness, amazing bunch of people, all day complimentary tea/coffee and the roof top garden. They also can get a bunch of discounted tickets to the attractions around.
The CP value is high, the clerk is very enthusiastic, the 4 person room is slightly small but can be used, providing a simple breakfast, the only lack of shower water is often not hot
I would not recommend staying here. The room was small and not clean. Also, the free 'breakfast' consisted of toast with jelly, and the jelly jar had flies swarming all around. Decent price and they were able to accommodate my late arrival which I appreciated, but I would look elsewhere for overall cleanliness.
I could consider 5 star review but I decided to give 4 star. Everything looks fine the bunc bed, toilets and wireless internet. However, if I choose upper bunc it's difficult for me to climbed up and I have to be extra careful. Now getting here is lot easier with Bendemeer MRT Station alongside with Boon Keng MRT (have to walk quite far). From here to Bugis and Sim Lim Square is minutes away by bus.
It's a great place to be. Close to the airport and MRzt stations. No nonsense backpackers. The staff are friendly. Has two levels. Lower level has only one toilet and bathroom. Upstairs there are four. People staying are fun too. Would surely go back.
For a penny, the price is low, but the environment is also general. The store has provided services as much as possible, but they also have cost considerations. For example, there is only an international outlet on the first floor. There are only two hair dryers in the whole hall. The quilt and bed sheets have been raised. The room can't adjust the temperature. The second floor is the female dormitory. There are only stairs, but there are also male residents. If you care about living, don't choose. Here. If you don't care about this, as long as the person who saves money can consider it, it can provide breakfast and save the meal.
Good night's sleep, good rooftop, great Aircon and showers. Some hosts provide great help. Basic breakfast with tea/coffee, toast and orange slices but it's sufficient. Downfall: 3days in a row I asked for their laundry service and they said they were too busy.
Nothing less than 5*.... Staff is friendly and helpful... Interior is awesome. One can spend hours setting at the rooftop garden. Bus stop is just few steps ahead, easy traveling... Little India is most nearby market place for food and shopping, almost walking distance. Best for backpackers.... (Y)
Amazing place to stay for backpackers, regular travellers. This place reminds me of good old college days. It's pretty safe and the staff (both indians and Singaporeans) are really cordial and helpful. Ambience is nice especially the rooftop where one can get the look at the scenic beauty of the city along with nice breakfast.
Friendly staff, nice vibe, pretty basic but you get what you pay for. Short walk to the MRT station. My only complaint would be that the blankets were a bit small (and I m 5 2). I would stay again though!
The hostel is in a great location. The underground station is nearby. The breakfast is great and is the best I have ever had in a hostel. Water dispenser is also available. You can also relax on the roof terrace. The only drawback is the cleanliness in the bathroom. But that's always because of who was there before. And there are too few showers.
Good price, like a budget meal. Eventhough its far from the city, but its walkable from the lavender station(the train station). And theres a bus stop near the building so theres no need to walk too far.
Decently priced dorms in Singapore. Air-condition temp controled by staff that leave at night, might get cold. Rooftop was nice, breakfast weak. Not really near anything interesting.
Small but clean in general. Cheap price, service is good however inside the room need more frequently cleaning the floor. Away from MRT about 1km. Surrounding it is easy to find some traditional food. Breakfast is included with sandwitch and butter, jam, etc and with some fruit too. Staff is nice too. I like it and will select as stay place next time.
Rucksack Inn was clean and well-organised. We had booked 3 months in advance so we received 20% discount. The bunk bed for two was adequate for our needs. It was a private room, not the dorm. The airconditioning was very good, very cool on a hot, humid day. Breakfast was free - simple serve of orange and watermelon for fruits, bread to toast (or not) comes with a selection of butter, jam or Nutella. Instant coffee and tea were available all day. They also have lots of information on tours and some public events in Singapore. It's very close to public transport, bus stops and a couple of MRT stations. There is a mall nearby (City Mall) and so many restaurants, food places and drinking spots only walking distance away. Arab St and Little India were only a little over a kilometre from the hostel. We found it to be in a good location and felt safe in this area.
Clean, good facilities, friendly and informative staff, good locations, good price, cute events- we attended a cooking class in the lounge which was a lovely touch. Bedrooms are as expected- people come in and out any time of day or night but your bunk is sufficiently comfortable. If you need somewhere to stop as a lone traveller this place is PERFECT. Thank you for your hospitality.
Really good place to stay. Nearest subway, Bendemeer is just a five minute walk. The hostel staff are well informed, very helpful and have suggestions should you have trouble finding anything to do in amazing Singapore! Dorms are interesting, comfy beds but they're more like pods, air con is good but we could have done with a bit space in the room to store our bags. They like to squeeze in the beds. Everything else was fine, would happily stay there again!.. Just wondering how much prices rise when the Formula One comes to town..
Super friendly staff, neat and clean dorm rooms, free breakfast and lots of guide books so what else is required. I'll also not forget to mention that they are best in the price. I highly recommend this place to all those who are looking for a budget accommodation in Singapore. Trust me you'll also get a chance to meet so many like minded people over there.
My stay wasn't good enough because of unfriendly staff wasn't allowed us to put our towel to the place given. All other people just put their towel without being told by staff to not put there. Moni's staff is gooder.
It was good once the boys left. The whole room smelled of horrible dirty socks. Then it was just lots of girls in the room no boys at all and it was all perfect.
Comfy capsule bed, free wifi with strong connection, clean shared bathroom, friendly staff. But the reception not 24hr, so please contact staff of you will late check in
