I recently applied to a property at Rubec. I never heard anything back from them. I called left VM after VM no call back. I went up to the office and the lady at the front desk was nice but clueless as she was not the property manager. She said " well let me tell you this, they are trying to fill that unit with a handicap tenant because its a handicap unit." I immediately told her had I known that from the beginning I would have never applied because I have a small child and I don't think it would be safe. This information should have been on the actual listing. Also she told me the process takes about 4 weeks and that I should hear from the property manager. I have yet to hear from anyone and I continue to call and get nothing. I would like my money back because I'm not interested in a handicap Unit. This is a very unorganized place of business.

This company shouldn t be around nor should be able to rent out homes. The way they talk and respond to people on here is disgusting and unprofessional, they are snapping on tenants that obviously had a very bad experience with them instead of reading tenant feelings and saying ok we will do better next time they choose to snap back this definitely shows me a reason to not rent with this company, and WATCH IT WHEN YOU RESPOND TO ME I am a important person that will get you closed for good. Do better ...

This is my first time renting my own place. It s been very difficult finding places to approve me because of my credit score but Rubec Properties gave me a chance! Pia has quickly responded to me when I had a question about the move in process and she also worked with me when my finances weren t on track to make sure I can still move forward and won t miss out on my first place!

Met Cheryl Warren over five years ago and was impressed from the beginning by her dedication and commitment to her business. She has consistently labored to build her company by providing opportunities to some individuals who would normally not make the cut with other property management companies. Her compassion and willingness to serve others causes her to work tirelessly to make it happen for them. Fast forward five years and she is still providing those same opportunities for individuals. It is hard to see the heart of a person until you experience the compassion of a person.

MUST READ WISH I DID!!!This place definitely out here scamming people. Thought all the reviews where false due to the fact that they are professional. Let me start by saying I signed a year lease with them prior to buying my home. And never made a late payment with them. They charges me a additional 10$ monthly for air filters I never received monthly then upon move out not only kept my security deposit but hit me with a bill with an extra $2,000.00 for Dirty walls and floor buffing. DONT be fooled by there kindness they want to scam you in the end!!!

This company is highly unprofessional and all about their customers (homeowners) like their slogan says, not the tenants! Which means they are going to try to keep all your deposit to keep customer happy. They reschedule repair appointments, their maintenance men flirt with you and make you feel uncomfortable eyeballing you and also go back and rat! They do sneaky harassing pop ups watching the house coming into the yard taking pictures as well and came in unmarked cars and no uniforms. They do yearly inspections invading privacy which they give 48 hour notice!!! They leave a 6 hour window as to when maintenance will come
wasting a lot of your day! One of the maintenance men even informed me to move because of the crazy inspection taking pictures in the inside with your things inside, he said he hated doing it. They hire cheap small business contractors for major repairs but expect you to go top notch on carpet cleaners on your move out. They are so unfriendly and rude once you sign the lease. They send street clothing men to do your repairs who smell like weed. I was in a 20 yr old home, after a while the carpet and flooring is going to need replacing and the roof and appliances! They dont want to have to bother the homeowner to buy ANYTHING. I highly do NOT recommend Rubec properties if you value your space and privacy and time.

This place is a joke. They don't do any maintenance at all. They took over the property I live in refused to do the lawfully right thing which was to prorate and they didn't. 2 months of rent in 9 days. That's 1st off .Then to live with no usable sinks or electric plugs is unacceptable. Roaches where living here years b4 I did and only sprayed for them 1 time .I have 4 kids 3 under 3 and roaches cause asthma and other very serious health issues. Do not rent from them .If I had enough to leave right now I would. They need to be in court for their practices of what they do to people .

I must say I experience nothing but excellent customer service with Pia... she treated me respectfully and actually had a good time talking with her In the office... I spent more then I expected to get spend moving in but she understood my situation and help me all the way through.. I'm new to Rubec Properties and pray I don't experience any of the bad reviews I see here.... at this point 5

A complete waste of money. They are not honest people.

This is the worst experience I have received while looking for a place for me and my family. Some guy name Dexter sends a email stating they received my information and it takes 2-3 days to decide. That was 3 weeks again. The picture they have posted online of the property looks better than what it actually does in person. The neighborhood is ran down with hood boogers and boarded up homes around the area. I scheduled an appointment to view the property 2:30pm got to the home at 2:10 waited past 2:30 and no one showed up and if they did I left. No call or nothing to tell me they running late when the email they send you states that if the showing agent has to wait more the 10mins you will have to r/s. Today is March 1 and I still not have heard anything from these people and when you call the lady always say she has to get in touch with the manager. It doesnt take that long. Lesson learned!!!

All the staff here are amazing, very helpful, excellent listeners, especially Mrs. Pia, excellent lady to deal with, just let her know what is it that you need and she will be there for you. I decided to move from Massachusetts to Charlotte NC with my section 8 Voucher, I didn't get the help from any real estate in Charlotte,but from this generous, wonderful people. I will recommend them to all my friends for their renting or buying needs. Thanks for all your help and support, just keep up the great work.

After researching property management companies online, I came across RuBec Properties. Joseph called me back right away and has been so efficient and professional in helping us with our rental property there. We live out of state and having a trustworthy property management company is so important. We cannot thank Joseph and Rubec Properties enough! They are the best!

good morning this is Willie McLaughlin I am giving my reviews on this company this company has good qualities good professional people that works working for them they return the phone calls promptly maybe in a couple of minutes after you leave a text all voicemail they send you all your documentation that you need was quoted out what your rent rates and etcetera they have a lot of common courtesy for you when they talk to you on the phone like to hear your values and views or where you going to be staying at I would recommended this company to a bunch of my friends and family.

I m so excited to be working with RuBec!!! After months and months of searching for not just a rental but a HOME for my boys and I (I m a single mom) I finally found a place I could really turn into haven but I was so hesitant and discouraged from credit issues in the past. Then, I spoke with Pia and she really gave me courage and confidence to move forward with the application. Her caring and understanding nature made me feel comfortable and not judged. If you re looking for a reputable company with a down-to-earth feel, they re the ones for you Thank you RuBec for understanding!!!

Don t rent from these people. They are beyond unprofessional to say the least. They gave me the hardest time to move into a property which ended up being in a horrible neighborhood. I am grateful to have a entire staff who has heart-felt intentions and ones who carries them out. Rubec Property as a whole is professional, protrays great work ethics, people oriented, supportive of my concerns. They will go above and beyond the call of duty, especially if you keep them in the loop with your unforseen situations. Received an offer to purchase contract from their Realtor Erin. Called her to say we do accept the offer but the contract needed revision. It was riddled with errors and typos that even I, not a realtor, easily caught. We called her, she said she would get it corrected and send it right back over. That was our last contact. Would not return text, calls, emails for a week. Had to leave messages for the Broker in Charge. Finally someone from their office called to let us know that during this interim the buyer found another house they liked and put an offer on it. We pretty much saw it coming. When we got the initial contract I looked up the company reviews. They were very poor and most seemed to be from renters and property mgmt, but apparently this type of unprofessionalism spreads to their realty department as well. Jack of all trades, decent at none.

I was having a hard time finding a place for my son and me. I came to Rubec Properties at the suggestion of a friend, and I'm so glad I did! They are welcoming, kind, and they make sure you completely understand the process. I'll be moving into one of their properties next week!

Completely rude and incompetent people working for this company. Trying to relocate and they denied me and gave little to no reason why. The person I spoke was slow and rude and clearly didn't want to do her job. Look elsewhere when you are looking for a place to stay.

Terrible people they are completely useless.. I've been in my house only 6 months and for a month and three weeks I had no power in half of the house.. a month and three weeks.. they offered no reduction on the rent even tho the law says I'm entitled to it.. now my ac isn't working at all.. my house is 90 degrees inside and my wife works from home!!! They've been ignoring us since Monday. When my lease is up in November I will be taking these people to court for the money I am entitled to.. if you do rent from these people document everything we did

Its been 2 years since put in an application which was $80.00 hard earned dollars. I never received a phone call email or even letter. No reason why I don't have a criminal record I make well over 3 times rent and no evictions. I feel like I got robbed by rubec properties BC they took my money and didn't provide me with any service. They just took my money and if I can just help someone before they make the same mistake I made by trusting rubec properties I would feel a lot better. Shame on all of you at rubec that is not how you conduct business.. Smh!! PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM RUBEC PROPERTIES I TOOK MY BUSINESS TO HENDERSON PROPERTIES.

After doing business with Rubec Properties the past few weeks I am impressed beyond measure with the professionalism and warm welcome of the staff. Pia even shared her Twizzlers with me. Ms Cheryl is the sweetest lady ever and will go beyond to exceed your expectations. Will continue to do business with them way into the foreseeable future.

I know Cheryl the owner professionally. I have spent time with her and her staff masterminding about about ways to better serve owners, tenants and how to make the overall customer experience as good as possible. I've seen her invest personal time with our national trade group consistently seeking the best practices in our industry. I took the time to read through some of these reviews. Knowing how the business works and how some tenants feel about change there are always a few upset when an owner desires to sell a property or raise the rent significantly. This is not under the control of a property manager. Managers serve at the pleasure of their owners and from time to time even have to let bad owners go to ensure compliance and quality. We can all have disagreements from time to time. Thus the reason for a paper trail for all, receipts and contracts/leases which keep us all on the same page. I would respectively suggest that if anyone was to take a few minutes and communicate with anyone on this team they would find out that they are not only professional and customer focused but also compassionate people. From the top down RuBec Properties is honest and trustworthy. If you have a property in Charlotte and are managing it yourself I recommend giving RuBec a call and just talking with them for a few minutes. You'll probably find out your time is better spent focused on your professional and personal interest instead of fielding tenants complaints about a backed up toilet at 2am. RuBec has your property covered.

Stay away from these crooks! You will end up displace like me and my boys. I've been with this rental company for 5 1/2 years and they just decided to send me a letter telling me I had 45 days to vacate. No reason at all no explanation just pack up and leave. Can you imagine living in a place you called home then all of sudden you receive a letter saying you have to move? A nightmare. I'm in the process of suing these crooks. They left me and my boys homeless then had the nerve to take my deposit. losers.....please stay away from this place. You're better off renting an apartment in the projects. These crooks could careless about your well being.

Very unprofessional realty company. They do not respect their prospective tenants so I can only imagine how they treat those that are actually renting from them. Apparently our time does not matter to the leasing agents. On two separate occasions they have showed up over ten minutes late (or not at all) to their properties without a call nor email yet when they initially make the appointment they stress "arriving on time/not being late." I should have known with the first showing but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. My husband and I waited almost half an hour (past our appointment time, mind you) with an infant and they didn't even call nor have the decency to say "we apologize for wasting your time" or anything after we continuously called them. What a joke!

This company was very unprofessional. I put my application in last Friday, and made numerous phone calls and NO ONE ever called me. I ended up going to their place of business in the University area(to make sure this place was REAL) and the leasing agent Courtney was very nice. She assured me that my application was approved but just needed to go through one other person (Joseph Kouscky). She told me that she would get in touch with him personally and get back to me by the end of the day. Well, that day came and went. NO CALL NO EMAIL NO NOTHING. I called Courtney the next day and I had to leave yet another voicemail. I called Mr. Kouscky and he actually answered the phone. He knew nothing about my conversation with Courtney the day before and just basically denied me on the spot. I believe I was given false information, I was lied to by their leasing agent. This company is the worst I have ever came in contact with. I waited on these people to give me an answer hoping to get a house so my family wouldn't be homeless. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL....

I am so thankful for the staff at Rubec! My experience exceeded my expectations after my long disappointing search for a nice reasonable place for my girls and I. I received not only prompt and professional service, but also was gifted with staff that has a heart! I would definitely recommend Rubec to others. I am blessed that we crossed paths. They have some staff with issues with individuals with disabilities! While others try to cover for those who fall short.

I would like to thank Pia for all that she did during my occupancy. I have to say that at first we were on different pages but we came together at the end of the page and that's what counts.
Her professionalism is outstanding and I would rent from her again.

I have worked with this company for over 3 years. I find the owner and her staff to be motivated by doing the right thing for the property owners and the tenants. They have responded quickly. While I do not always get the answer I want, they do resolve the problem. I highly recommend RuBec!

DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. I GOT A LETTER IN THE MAIL FROME THEM ON DECEMBER 13TH 2016 THAT STATED THAT ME MY HUSBAND AND CHILDREN HAD TO VACATE THE PREMISES BY THE END OF DECEMBER 31ST 2016 WITHOUT ANY REASONS WHY, I HAVE BEEN LIVING IN THE HOME FOR THREE YEARS AND THEN BOOM YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE HOMELESS. RUBEC PROPERTY AND IT'S EMPLOYEES/OWNERS ARE RATCHETS AND I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN THEY WANTED ME TO PAY TO GET A NEW SET OF KEYS MADE, PAY FOR THEM AND TURN THEM IN, TUH IT ISN'T ANY DAYS LIKE THAT. BUT PEOPLE PEOPLE PEOPLE STAY AWAY!!

Worst experience I ve ever had with a company. Filthy apartments, everything broken and constantly cutting corners. Would not recommend

$937 for deposit on a dirty apartment that wasn t move in ready as they stated plus $275 in fees and then the rent. Who do these people think they are?! I can definitely tell it s a money thing with them. Ain t no way in hell the apartments are worth all the money they are requesting. NEXT!!!!!!!

Moving from Boston Ma and my experience with Shondra was Awesome! She showed me 3 different units and gave me the best advice about the city of Charlotte. Definitely will recommend this company.

I have lived here for 3+ years and went through 3 different property management companies. The first two were terrible, one never answered any repair requests the 2nd one was embezzling but rubec properties stepped up and showed there was still good management. We had bad roof leaks for awhile, rubec had the entire roof and inside damages fixed in about 2/3 weeks. They were very courteous and helpful when there were any kind of issues. I would recommend rubec properties to anyone in need of a better landlord/property management.

This property management company is very unorganized & unprofessional. There is way too much I have experienced to put all in one comment, but if you prefer efficient service and knowledgeable staff, stay far away. They can't keep the same people on staff for more than three months, don't notify you of any changes, and expect for you to move quickly because of their mishaps. I would not recommend this company to anybody!

I was in search of a place for my daughter and myself for months. I walked into the office and was greeted by the nicest person! The receptionist is awesome! I put in an application for a place and was notified with in days of my approval! Dealing with Courtney, she made the process smooth and seamless. She is also awesome! The staff there are professional and ate willing to help. That is a refreshing feeling especially since I'm new to the area. I will definitely recommend going to them!

If I could give less than one star, I would. I don t ever write reviews on things. But I want to warn people before renting with Rubec. This is my first time being on my own. I moved into my apartment 3 years ago. Since then, everything breaks. There have been pest issues. You ll call and they won t respond, and when they do the problem doesn t get fixed. My air conditioner has always had issues since I moved in. Constantly I d call and let them know, nobody listened to me when I said that there was a leak in the unit outside. My house went up to 90 degrees for two months, I have a 3 year old son, and I d tell them my son would become lethargic due to the heat. They did bring fans, but barely seemed to care that my home was damn near 100 degrees inside. On top of AC issues, my online portal to pay my rent never works. So I use the cash stubs at the 7-Eleven to pay my rent. Each month I get an email saying I have no paid my rent, so I m always confused as to where my money goes. This place is unprofessional, unorganized, and all they care about is money. I am never renting with Rubec again if I move. I suggest other people to do the same. They said I owe them over $200 for sonething that was THEIR FAULT. I miss when Courtney was the landlord, she never let anything go wrong. She always answered calls immediately and fixed any issues that I had. This place has gone into the ground. If you want fines for absurd things, units that are falling apart, people randomly showing up at your door to walk through your home, rent here. I am hoping to move as soon as possible. Y all be careful! Don t waste your time and especially your money!!

Put in 60 dollar application 3.5 weeks ago. Process was supposed to takea few days. I have not received an approval or denial message... i have visited the office several times. Seems as if i gave my 60 away anf im chasing my tail!

I've always had a great experience with Rubec Properties. We are moving and I wish I could take them with me. Every question I had was answered in a timely manner and they are very quick to respond to emergency work orders. The third party contractors they sent out to our property handled themselves in a professional manner.

I would suggest that Rubec creates a simple welcome kit introducing all of their workers as it was a bit confusing in the beginning on who we should speak to about certain situations

My apartment was privately owned. I guess he decided to let Rubec Properties manage the grounds for whatever reason. Multiple times when it comes to maintenance I have had an issue with this company. I advised them after coming home to multiple pools downstairs, that it may be a piping issue. Then eventually sent someone out who left my bathroom in a mess may I add . Who told me that there had been something stuff in the line that must have been flushed down the toilet. Which was a lie. I now have a puddle in my hallway which is leAking into my downstairs bathroom and kitchen from the ceiling. I am completely and utterly disgusted with the properly management company

Courtney was awesome to work with. Although the timing was weird on both parties, she was very helpful through the entire process. The lady at the front desk is also pretty awesome. Very welcoming environment and friendly staff. Keep being awesome.

If I could rate this company higher than 5 stars I would. This is by far one of the best rental companies that I have dealt with. The staff is absolutely incredible. Walking through the doors is so welcoming. I love all of their personalities. From the time I called, applied, and signed my rental agreement I have experienced nothing but great service. If I have maintenance concerns they are handled that same day. Anytime I email I get a response back. Ms. Juanita, Ms. Nashonda, and Ms. Courtney have all been such a big help to me and I've only be renting from this company since February. They are all understanding of any concerns you may have. And work with you to get any problems handled. I could go on and on about my great experiences with this company. But, if you are in question and not really sure if you want to rent from this company. Don't be. Go for it! I promise you will be satisfied!!! 5 star for sure.

I have been living in my rental property for 3 years. Rubec properties has been managing it for 2 of the three years. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with anything. Maintenance issues are handles promptly and fast. Paying rent is easy with the on line portal. They are great. Pia is so friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I'm a single mother of three that works hard to keep up especially when I'm working over time. I wish there were more people out there that cared about single moms and how they work hard to survive.

The absolute WORST company to rent from in Charlotte. Do NOT rent, lease, whatever from these people. I repeat, DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR BUSINESS! The ONLY reason I am leaving even one star is because you have to. Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of hassle and go somewhere else! HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!!

Rubec never came and fixed anything in 5 years and when I say they tried to evict us because of where I park my car long story short we got a lawyer and and won Henderson properties took over repaired everything in this house in less than a week , rubec is a sorry excuse thank you Henderson for understanding customer service rubec properties need to ashamed of themselves rubec is why black ppl get a bad reb for being professional

I've been working with Cheryl Warren and her team for 4 years. I currently have over 30 rental properties that they manage for me and I am continually impressed by their level of service. They often go above and beyond what is expected of them. Although they handle thousands of dollars for me every month, I trust them implicitly with every bit of it. Their charges and fees are reasonable and well worth the services they offer. Whether they are marketing a property, reviewing an application, fulfilling a repair request or collecting rent, their regular communication with me is greatly appreciated. They provide me with marketing and vacancy reports on a weekly basis and my payments arrive in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with RuBec Properties and I highly recommend them to manage the properties you own.
