Royalton Manor-Ciena Health Care Facilities Review

They need to update their web page because some things have changes.

Most horrible place anyone could be in. They put my mom on a house to weigh her and dropped her. She had yeast infection in her mouth because they didn't give her water to drink . Horrible horrible place

Employee at St Joseph facility for one month. Witnessed horrible care with nurse aides and patients. The facility was filthy which I was hired to clean. After 1 week was told by aides to leave the mess that patients would not notice and would ignore the call buttons. HR Department is horrible. Do NOT send your loved ones to this facility.

They were very slow at answering call lights I had to wait over an hour and half just to get a pain pill) and they didnt answer the call light to help to the bathroom I had to do it three times by myself and I was already settled back in bed by the time they answered it

I have never been in need of this facility but I know people who were and the staff took care of them well

Both my parents were there at the same time. The care was Unconscionable. I was there everyday for 5 or 6 hrs caring for them myself. They both passed away within 15 days of each other. It was horrible... the food was horrible... the care was horrible... certainly not enough aids which could not possibly take care of the no. of residents. I would not put my dog there. And I was working on getting them moved. They were there 2 months n went downhill quickly. My dad laid in his urine soaked when I was there. Would turn the light for help n it tools forever. Some of the staff were wonderful. The place in General HORRIBLE

Don t even know where to begin...every head nurse needs to get retrained....absolutely incompetent when it comes to taking care of elderly people. Food was cold if you even got food, many times it was just whatever they wanted them to have. Refused to give my parent the medications they needed, hardly ever checked their sugar levels. The call button was a joke, and if you were lucky enough to get a nurse to come the favorite line was I have to get somebody..hold on . Many times I had to help my parent to the bathroom because the nurses were ALWAYS on breaks. Residents were left in the hallways sleeping in their wheelchairs on a daily basis. Nurses talked down to my parent like they were nothing. Finally was able to get my parent transferred to another facility & the difference their care has been is like day & night. There is no care or compassion at Royalton, it s just about money!!!

Just came from an unexpected visit to my auntie and I found her clean and dressed. It appears that the staff knows her quite well and attends to her needs. While being there 2X during this week, I saw the food that she ate and how she was treated. From what I saw, I would give the staff a 5 for good care and the food would be rated a 3.5 - not the best but not horrible. Looks like the staff has some minor activities for the patients that can enjoy them.

My mother has bean there since Wednesday before thanksgiving. 2015. She was bed ridden and had giving up . I personally. Could not let this go on so with support of the staff we got her up and moving in a wheelchair and walker with support. But its hard to maintain the dayley schedual I had for three mouths. It was taking a toll n me so the staff took over and keep her active. She is stage 3 dementia. And its hard to keep her happy but the staff dont give up cause they care.
