Very friendly, courteous staff. The bellhops that helped us to our room were so nice and very good with our kids. The concierge was helpful with items we forgot. The room service was fast and friendly. The valet was great. I locked myself out of the room while my kids were inside and the staff was very helpful.

Wow let's dive right in so we got there day one we put the air on 65 never not once hit 65 ..they supposedly sent someone up but it stayed on 73. Second we asked for one tooth brush and tooth pasted and never came called again 20 mins later they came. We ordered room service around dinner time oh my gosh horrible. The lettuce they put on the burger was so wilted and who puts the end of a tomato on anything like really ..we also got a brownie and ice cream and wow the brownie was so small and frozen and hard crazy ice cream was melted when it arrived. I'm telling you we only enjoyed the ginger ale they gave us

This is an elegant calm hotel with an amazing art collection on all the hall walls. They have fabulous room service scrumptious food in the espresso cafe. We had a lovely breakfast in the explorer club. Everyone was so helpful I wish I could have spent more time there.

OMG!! This is one of the best hotels in the country!! Talk about a beautiful hotel that makes you think you live in a mansion! The staff here treated me like royalty! My room was off a private corridor so no one could just walk down the hall and knock. The harbor views are spectacular..get the breakfast -parking deals. I love you Michael (manager) for everything you and your staff did...going beyond the call of duty...every last one of them...from Malcolm, to Justin, to Toyy, to Ladonia--I look forward to returning soon.

Great selection of food and drinks. Very friendly personnel at the Explorer's Lounge. The interior decoration wasn't very stylish in my taste, but it doesn't take away from a comfortable and easy going atmosphere.

My first experience in a 4 star hotel. My wife and I were impressed. The staff was accommodating, the hotel was beautiful, clean, well lit and quiet. We ate in the restaurant and while the service there left something to be desired ( they were short staffed so it wasn't a lack of customer service), the food was great. I'd go back and plan to in 2018.

The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore has a top notch staff and accommodations. An indoor pool with a separate hot tub area (no lifeguard) and restaurant. Book a room with a harbour view and enjoy an amazing sunrise.

This hotel stay was part of a group booking. How...

This hotel stay was part of a group booking. However, this review is based on MY personal experience.

Yes the rooms were not ready when we arrived for check in. Yes only one member of staff was assigned to check in the group. Three people at the front desk, a group of 36 to check in as well as other guests... I think it was the right way to handle it so that other guests did not have a long wait.

In light of this in my opinion, I think that this one slight problem is overshadowing the entire stay! In my humble opinion, I think the hotel is getting bad review based on this one isolated incident.
The staff members (the 4 we interacted with) were very polite, professional and yet they felt like friends.

Initially I was annoyed with the set back. However, unforeseen occurrences happen from time to time & this was one of them. Our check in delay was rectified by a room upgrade! The luxurious Empress Suite. Had our check in been on time, this upgrade would not be an option. So for us personally the delay was a luxurious treat!

Credit cards are taken at ALL hotels to cover the cost of 'incidentals'... It is to ensure that if you take use anything from the fridge or break something, costs can be recovered...
We had a view of the harbour. Our room was spacious, comfortable & had sufficient amenities. We had access to the pool, hot tub, gym and other facilities the hotel had to offer.
The Concierge (sorry I forgot his name) was very helpful in providing us with a local Caribbean Restaurant American Caribbean Gourmet. He also provided us with printed directions & the option of walking distance & times or taxi distance, estimated cost & time. And a taxi was arranged for us. (He didn't have to do this).

Later that night we requested another taxi to & from a venue for 12:30am. This was arranged. The 1st taxi driver was very impolite so we exited his taxi. Less than 5 minutes later another was there! Details to contact the hotel were given so that in the event that the taxi did not return, we could call & they would have one sent for us & not be stranded. Never had I have a hotel take such an interest in our safety! We appreciated this, being unfamiliar with the area!

Our taxi driver Alim was also great! He gave us his number so we can contact him 20mins before we were ready to leave to ensure we are not waiting long. He was also friendly, giving us history about the area.

Upon our return from our night/morning out we thanked the 3members of staff & engaged in light banter. Again never experienced staff being professional yet down to earth, especially after 4am!

Check out listed on our room key was 12pm, however due to oversleeping & being slow in getting ready, we left 12:30pm. No issues there either.

Our checkout process was swift! We even got to keep our room keys as a souvenir!
Due to having such polite, friendly staff, luxurious room & overall great weekend we decided to give feedback about the 4 members of staff who made our stay memorable!
We gave positive feedback on our stay & the 4 staff members we interacted with to the Manager.

I have registered with their Travel Pass Program as I fully intend to visit one of their chain of hotels again!

Stayed here for the Otakon weekend! It was very lovely and super accommodating! The hotel itself is very beautiful, many cosplayers that were there for the convention weekend would stop in to get photos done. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the rooms! They are very spacious and for a group of cosplayers that's a big plus. The staff were very kind and made sure our stay was very comfortable! They even had a competition partnered with Otakon, where the cleanest room after check out would get 2 free nights for next year's convention! After all the years of staying at hotels for a convention weekend this specific stay had to be the best!

We stayed in the premier king suite for Valentines Day. The room was better than the pictures on the website. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful and the garden tube much bigger than expected. Our room faced the harbor so we awoke the next morning with astounding views of the inner harbor! We dined at Explorers located on the second floor and the food was delicious. The service was awesome, the staff were accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay there again! Highly recommended!!!!

Great room, terrible service. Restaurant was criminally understaffed and the food was mediocre and overpriced. We asked for warm milk for our daughter's bottle and they delivered ice cold milk. When we checked out, the woman at the front desk didn't even bother to ask how our stay was. I guess she knew better.

The staff was mostly friendly. But they advertised a bar with a grand piano and when we went in with a party of sixty and a professional piano player, they literally rolled the piano into a locked room and threatened to call the police. It was rude, unnecessary, and certainly killed the mood of a wedding after party
UPDATE: the evening manager Cassandra eventually did what she could to rectify the situation. She got the piano back into the bar until last call. It was after the bride went to bed, but the effort should still be acknowledged. Unfortunate that it was a "too little, too late" sort of result - but still, kudos to Cassandra
UPDATE 2: The miscommunication began on the previous day when early arriving guests inquired about the piano and the response from staff at the bar was along the lines of "yes we do have a piano available for parties" It was not made clear that the availability was contingent upon pre-approval before the evening of the event, and thus the frustration. Thank you for your response! (By the way, if a venue keeps 2 baby grand pianos in tune on location, they may try to be a little more polite when a pianist wants to perform at the request of the newlyweds)

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Royal Sonesta which far exceeded our expectations. The hotel, its location, the staff, the rooms, the amenities, all services - all were impeccable and of the highest quality. Especially Carmen at the front desk who was extremely welcoming and helpful, getting us situated during our early arrival. She couldn't have been more professional, expedient and friendly. Also, Keith helped us with our luggage and was noticeably helpful and courteous. The breakfast staff was wonderful and all went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable experience. The location is great, right on the Inner Harbor. We highly recommend this hotel and are looking forward to another stay in the future!

Nice hotel, great location. Got a great deal through Priceline's name your own price. Otherwise, it's a bit overpriced (I've stayed at almost every decent hotel in the area) but overall not a bad place to stay.

Average Hotel.

Average Hotel.
Rooms are ok but not impresive.
Service not what you would expect from a $300 a night hotel.
I was using the restroom near a conference room and the house keeping lady kept yelling rushing me to finish.
The wings at the bar are good but the bartender is moody.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. The staff are helpful and courteous and the rooms are magnificent. The bed was fabulously comfortable and the walk in shower was huge and perfect. The service for evening meal was a little slow as the restaurant staff were very busy with large parties but they were perfectly courteous and apologetic for my wait. The meal itself was delicious and well worth the wait. I have no hesitation giving 5 stars and would highly recommend it.

Let me start by giving Groupon a great big shout out. This trip was booked as a mini vaca out on NYC. Ride was about 3 hours (no traffic) Because we booked it on Groupon it came with a complimentary valet parking for one car per nights stay + Hi Speed internet. Our room was a Harbor view King and the view was gorgeous (room 620, 6 floor). I tell you the hotel has the best location for views of the harbor. Sunrise and set was gorgeous! The hotel is well kept & stunning and features numerous art works throughout it. My only gripe is that the rug in the room seemed to be faded (no biggie) Both the room / bathroom was well kept. The furniture could you an update, but then again it fit the Victorian look of the hotel. They do have a lounge, coffee shop and restaurant on the premises but we chose to go out and explore.

The hotel is directly across from the harbor. We simply walked out the building and crossed the street. It's located in a really prime area near anything you could possibly need: Mall, Shopping center, Science Museum (right across the street), Aquarium, Boat rides, restaurants (Phillips, steak houses, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Hooters, Mo's Seafood Factory (We highly recommend this place. the food and drinks are to DIE for + they have a shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off), Starbucks, Cheese Cake factory, Hard Rock Cafe, Uno's, Five guys, and host of other local restaurants and bars. Also it is very close to the convention center, Oreo's Stadium and Baltimore Ravens Stadium. I tell you location, location, location...... It means everything when you are traveling don't you agree.

The staff was very friendly. I can not tell you how nice this whole experience was. We did meet someone who had an issue with the room they had, but the issue was quickly resolved.

Over all I say this hotel is a keeper. I plan om going back this summer with the family. The location is perfect for a family getaway that won't break the bank but is full of activities and places to visit. Please give them a try you won't be sorry.

We loved our stay at Rogal Sonesta. Room was clean and well maintained. Loved the harbor view. Only set back for us was not enough choice of food at the hotel but it was a real close walk to nice restaurants at the harbor.

Stayed for a weekend getaway. Had a suite with an awsome view of the inner harbour. Room was perfect and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant and lounge had great food and drinks. Fitness center was also top notch. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a weekend getaway. Will definitely be back to stay.

My new favorite hotel. The view from a Harbor View room is fantastic. Floor to ceiling windows directly overlooking the inn harbor. In and out parking allows you to enter and leave the garage as often as you want for only the daily fee. The restaurant, pool, and workout areas are very nice. The staff is very friendly and strive to see your needs are met. The hotel is in walking distance to everything in the harbor. I had no complaints. I was not there for a pleasure trip but when I come back for pleasure I will look at this hotel first.

Nice rooms, management is bad. I recently meet up with some friends from out of town that were guests at the hotel. In total 6 of us were sitting in the room having a drink and playing some cards. Mind you this is a group of mostly ~40 year olds (one of us is a lawyer, one a CEO, etc.) having normal conversation and playing cards around a table. Rather than coming to the room and telling us about a noise issue (its 9:30 on a Saturday) they sent up 3 security guards and required 3 of us leave the property immediately. No argument, no words exchanged, everyone polite. When we asked if we get a warning anything, they said "this is the warning". At this point we moved down to the bar, the bartenders laughed it off, we got a few drinks and had a good time playing a board game in the bar for the next few hours on the 2nd floor all 6 of us. This type of excessive action toward a guests is what makes me want to warn you all to stay away from this place, and find a place to stay with some customer service skills. As a frequent business traveler I have been in thousands of hotels and this is just an unacceptable response to a guest. The experience left us wondering how we had even been loud as everything we had done was in a normal tone of voice in the room and really how crazy the whole thing was. Really unacceptable, train your staff better.
