Absolutely 5 star quality Resort. The Spa is simply amazing ! Fabulous art work on the walls as well.

This was our second time at the Royal Plantation. Food yummy. Small resort but thats good. You get to know the staff and they know you. Very relaxing.

A boutique Sandals Resort Hotel. The staff is warm, the ambience is magical and the food is well cooked. Definitely value for your money.

I wish I could give more than five stars. The people make this place paradise. Chase and Neil were our personal butler's and they were first class. From getting pizza delivered to helping me surprise my wife with a facial, they were always there. Biggs, Daniello, and Fresh Prince we're our beach butler's and ensured our drinks were always filled, we didn't even have to ask. And Jason, he knows how to party. From corn hole tourney's to DJ and Karaoke sets at night. The French restaurant was great and the sushi restaurant at Ochi, just next door, is a must try. We can't wait to come back!

Lovely resort with all the amenities you could ask for in one of the most beautiful locations we have visited. Staff is friendly and attentive and butler service unparalleled. Food is amazing and more options than you could dream. Vacation of a lifetime.

This resort is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, the beaches are so beautiful, entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. I'm happy we have chosen sandals royal plantation for our honeymoon, our vacation were amazing. Jason and akeem you guys are the awesome kept us entertained with music and dancing. Beautiful, peaceful, fun, great food, perfect weather. Great central location. Within 10-15mins of most attractions and town, as well as some other resorts.

My favorite Sandals resort for the Oceanview rooms with a butler. Just the best customer service and all-inclusive food. Dinner was amazing and I can t wait to go back in 2021. Next door to Sandals Ochi for a more lively evening too.

The service was exceptional and the beach was beautiful and well kept. To access the beach you'll have to walk up and down stairs, so bad knees beware. The biggest complaint I have with this resort is its location. This location sets right next to a very busy street and you have to hear the road noise of cars, trucks and emergency vehicles non stop form your room and from the beach. If you don't mind being in the busy city this really is a beautiful place. The spa has one of the best massage therapist I have ever had and her name is Sharon, so make sure to ask for her.

This place is heaven on Earth. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is the place to go. The butler's and all the staff are awesome. Great food too!

Sandals royal plantation was just absolutely amazing, my husband and I went for our honeymoon the week of 9/10/19. We had the best time the staff, butlers, and bartenders went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Chad, audell, barbara shevoy, andrea, are all fantastic staff members we look forward to seeing them on our next stay.

Beautiful place, amazing customer service! My husband and I booked before we left the first time we went and did the same thing the second time we went!

If you want to have Black men dressed as servants, conveniently labeled "BUTLERS," Don't call your resort a plantation! Change the name... but regardless, it's putting lipstick on a pig. Most of your guests seem to love the Colonial British style of this place... of course they do! Paula Dean also liked Black servants in white gloves as well... Disgusted that you want to keep that memory of slavery alive.

We returned from here yesterday, and our expectations were surpassed. Often times the pictures you see online are better than reality...not with this beautiful place. Everywhere you are on the resort has a view. I am not sure the pictures due it's beauty justice. Very well kept. They have the friendliest staff at a resort I have ever encountered. Beach butlers are so kind and on top of drinks. Jason who seems to run entertainment at the resort is the kindest! He remembered our names after meeting us just one time.

Our room was in the West Wing and right beside the water. If you are looking for a restful, non crowded relaxing place to vacation, then this is the place for you. We have 2 small children at home, so it was nice to be away at such a quiet place.

Not as many dining options as some resorts, but Sandals Ochi Resort is right next door so you can go there for dinner if you wanted.

The raft/floats out in the water are heavenly. We practically lived on them. So relaxing!

Having the butler service was a nice touch. You always had someone to ask your questions to and would take care of things quickly. We wanted for nothing.

I can't say enough good things about this place. I can absolutely see why people go back time and time again. The staff remember you! It is an hour and half drive from the airport, but the drivers are always kind, and much of the ride you are driving along the beach.

Everything has been great so far. Staff have been supurb. Food has been excellent. Service has been great. No complaints!

A great place to visit. The service is out of this world, all the staff try to make you day the best it can be. The butler service is wonderful and you are left with nothing to worry about except which of the first class restaurants to go to in the evening. The escargot was quite simply the best I have tasted, better even than in Parisien restaurants. For a great luxury break you can't do better than the Sandals Royal Plantation

We felt special from the moment we stepped off our van and into the lobby. We were greeted by our butler, Adrian, a pleasant, welcoming and very handsome gentleman. We were given a tour of the resort which I must say has some of the most breathtaking views I have seen so far. The staff were all very wonderful and nothing seem a bother to them. They pay attention to what you like to eat and make sure you have it. I liked hot chocolate mixed in my coffee and every morning when I show up for breakfast it was ready for me. Everyone smiled and greeted you, even the maintenance and grounds staff. We had a laughing good time with the ladies in the gift shop and on the day we left Lorna came out to say goodbye and invite us back. "Big" at the beach is plenty fun and will keep the drinks coming. Marvin, or other butler was equally wonderful, both he and Adrian had our room so very romantic each night with romantic music, dimmed lights, flower petals etc, that we did not want to leave. We will definitely be back

We had the most fabulous time on our vacation/honeymoon at Sandals Royal Plantation! Our 2 butlers were hands downs the most wonderful and helpful people!! We will be going back very soon!!!

Absolutely loved our honeymoon here! The resort was gorgeous, the butlers very accommodating, and the food exquisite! I can see why so many couples we met said they come back every year!
My only negative comment would be on the couples massage we got there. I didn t think the massage was anything above and beyond what I get at home and my masseuse was farting the entire time!! made it very hard to relax.

Fabulous location. Hotel very regal but sadly needs a bit of an overhaul. Food in restaurants very good but a disappointing buffet in main restaurant, Jamaican night lacked spice and poorly presented. Nice seafood and French restaurant, although despite having amouse bouche and sorbet there's no cheese course! Breakfast very good with nice choice of al a carte or buffet, fresh juice or smoothies. Staff very attentive, butler service claims to pamper to your every whim but this comes at extra cost for some things! Some requests sadly not met. Only a few activities none repeated so if you miss them they're gone! Calm relaxed atmosphere here. Pool too small, no serious swimming, only on the sea which can be too rough! 'free golf' turns out to be very expensive- compulsory caddie costs as do carts, shoes and clubs! Very disappointing! Excellent toiletries in bathroom but tub is a typical small US version- no sharing! Well stocked bar of anything you wish.

Beautiful oceanfront tropical couples inclusive built for luxury. I have both sold this property as a travel agent and been a guest; and each time it has been remarkable..

The upper floor oceanfront suites are the place to be if you want pampering. I'm very much looking forward to my next visit this fall.

Went there for our honeymoon and had an incredible time. Keone and Marvin as our butlers and they both did a great job. They were very helpful and made sure we felt taken care of.

The resort is a lot more private than than the Sandal's location down the road. We are pretty relaxed people, so this resort was a perfect fit. Service was awesome, food was great! We would definitely go back.

What a wonderful time at Sandals Royal Plantation. Our butlers Gladstone and Oryane treated us like royalty. They catered to our needs with bubble baths and our favorite breakfast. Whatever we needed they were there for us. Renee and Adrian at the beach grill were fantastic the entire staff was wonderful and sorry I can't remember all their names. Kudos for making our time at the resort a truly memorable one.

This is a very quiet resort with incredibly friendly staff. The entertainment is a rotation of the same band/artists (maybe 4/5 different ones) in the evenings on an outdoor patio. If your wanting a place that has a lot of activity and are a busier person this probably isn't the resort for you. We personally enjoyed laying on the beach and barely moved and would even order lunch on the beach from the restaurant there and have it delivered right to our chairs.

Now why only 4 stars?

My chief complaint was the accommodation for my dietary restrictions.
Before going I was nervous about this and I made sure everyone knew I was a vegetarian and needed options but delicious options (after all I'm paying someone to cook for me) and was assured before booking, upon arrival etc this would not be a problem .......turns out it was. There was three times in my entire week there that there was a vegetarian option listed on the menu. Otherwise all meat/seafood. One night when there wasn't a single option I told the waiter I needed to talk to the chef about something to eat and the chef came out and talked to me personally and made me a delicious coconut curry stew(so good-he was amazing) the next day identical problem zero vegetarian options on the menu- I told the waiter that yesterday we had the same issue and the chef made me something amazing tell him I trust him he can make me whatever he wants. Well I received a plate of reheated left overs from the night before.....and no I'm not kidding. The same exact dish, tiny portion that was reheated for me because that was all that was left from the day before. I was disappointed.
The next morning the chef ran into me as I was getting breakfast and asked how I liked dinner I told him it was delicious but asked why it was left overs and not something new. He told me the waiter had told him that I had asked for the exact same thing (Definitely didn't) and was actually very apologetic but for the amount we spent and the raves we heard on accommodations, food etc for special dietary needs I was hoping/expecting more. To a point I was excited to get home so I could cook something different for myself.

However, I must say the French restaurant blew us away but also offered the same thing only one vegetarian entree item and the same one every night-not changed the entire time we were there so essentially I ate the same thing every day which gets old over a week when you I was looking forward to variety.

Beyond the food/ money to value we have absolutely nothing to complain about and would love to give a shout out to some specific people:
Adrienne the Beach Butler always put a smile on our face
Oniel the life guard became a face we always looked forward to seeing and helped make our day more enjoyable
Jason- always asking for us by name and chatting away
All staff at the terrace restaurant was amazing, attentive and kind.
The Chef was actually very personable and gave amazing options for breakfast that I could enjoy.
Derek the beach carver who is there on Wednesday's and Saturdays actually made the trip extra special by gifting us a carving on top of what we were purchasing when he found out we were there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
At the French Restaurant: Sebastian, Winston did a great job in helping us enjoy our evening and experience. The Chef there though I didn't catch her name did an amazing job on her cooking as well though should change it up from more than one item.

Overall the staff was amazing, the location beautiful but definitely feel like it didn't quite live up to what we were expecting for what we paid.

We were lucky enough to stay in the butler service villa. In the morning an extensive breakfast was served on our terrace and in the evening if desired, private cooking was done for us. We enjoyed it. Recommended. Very friendly staff.

Attentive staff. Great atmosphere. Amazing food. The restaurants there especially have amazing staff and I wasnt once disappointed with the food. Beaches are clean and lovely. I'm a Jamaican now living overseas and I went there for my honeymoon. I'd definitely recommend.

The best vacation I've ever had , words can't explain how much enjoyment it offers . Relaxation , comfort and great service . I would refer this place to everyone . A must see location and a perfect experience .

We the Ocho Rios Chamber of commerce were graced by Sandals Royal Plantation to have lunch. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and excellent staff members. Each staff that passed our table gave a smile and greeting. This Resort is a gem in Jamaica. To the management and staff, keep up the wonderful job. All the guests around looked very pleased. It's very beautiful place to take your wife or partner to get anyway from work .......if you want a quiet place you can almost get that as well

Best experience... beautiful sandy beach, mild temperatures, excellent dining, and relaxing spa. Our honeymoon was extraordinary!

Very peaceful and relaxing. Quiet. The beaches are very beautiful. The service was great. They honestly treat you like you're apart of one big family. The staff know you by name and the food was amazing. I would go back there every year especially since I live in the city.

Would recommend above sandals ochi. Much quieter but can always take a shuttle over to the craziness of ochi beaxh club.

Sandals Royal Plantation had everything we wanted for our four day trip to Jamaica. It is a beautiful resort, small and intimate, romantic and quiet with exceptional service. Rooms were lovely, food was great, spa was excellent. We were able to rest and restore and let the "party people" keep it going on at the other sandals resort next door. If you want a quiet retreat with exceptional service, this is the place for you!!! Would not change a thing. Special shout out to our butlers Richard and Hectar, and Romaine on the beach and wesley in water sports.

I really don't know how one could be treated any better. From the butlers, entertainment dept, beach butlers, excursion desk, drivers, and every other type of staff member I'm forgetting to mention; one and all were fantastic!

Really enjoyed having the relaxed atmosphere here and then having access to the big Ochi resort next door additional options of all sorts.

Our week at SRP was nothing short of magical. The staff go out of their way to make sure your every need is met, and you will leave feeling like part of the family. We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary

This was our second time at the Royal Plantation. Truly, the atmosphere cannot be beat! The staff takes great care of you and really makes you feel as though you are welcome, not only on the property, but with them as people. They truly connect with you. Robert, Kadesha and Marvin were terrific as butlers. They knock themselves out trying to make your stay special! And thanks to wonderful conversations with Barbara in the dining areas, I now know how to cook a perfect curry chicken! It s not just a hotel. You truly feel as though you are at home! We can t wait to go back!

My husband and I are on our last full day of our trip and we will be sad to leave. We ve really enjoyed the gorgeous views and the lush vegetation on this well planned resort. What made this trip unlike any other I ve had, is the people. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Dancing and singing as they go about their day and always asking how you are. We ve had a lot of opportunity to chat with various staff members and learn about their lives - everyone here seems happy. Adrian and Ashpole were our Sandals Butlers, a service which comes with every room here. They were really great and made our experience comfortable and convenient. Adrian at the beach bar gave us lots of laughs every day and was a truly friendly face to see during our stay - exceptional service and a really great guy. Cleon, who is the beach butler, is always smiling and always keeps the drinks full even at the very farthest part of the beach. Kennordo in the Wobbly Peacock pub will show you more magic tricks than you can handle.

All in all it was a great trip, great beach amazing food and wonderful people. The only thing I would say negative is that the resort itself is dated. The pool appears very old and the room decor could use an update.

Looking forward to our next Sandals experience and hope to come back here again one day.
