We enjoyed a week at this wonderful resort. Everything was perfect. We loved the accommodations, the water sports, sailing and activities are there when ever you want to use them. The staff were over the top for service and they were excellent. The food, drinks, boutique vibe is exactly what you are looking for. The access to all the adjacent Sandals facilities is only a few minutes on a shuttle ride. The Rabbit Hole (sleep easy) will never disappoint your expectations either. We saw Big Mama and you will not be disappointed. She is a true entertainer!
The Butlers are their to assist you when ever needed. Just pick up the cell provided and call them.

Top hotel, service, food and location all top marks - do recommend

We have been to this resort 10 times and the staff is the reason why. The service is unmatched. Very rarely is there a problem but if you are unhappy about something the staff will bend over backwards to resolve it. We feel like famil and they treat us as such. The food is excellent. We are already booked for our 11th trip.

Very nice resort that is not near as crowded as the other Sandals resorts.

Everything about this vacation was great. The resort is beautiful, our butlers Audell and Chadsworth were the best, the employees are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are cleaned spotless several times a day. The drinks and food are great. the bartenders are top shelf especially shevoy and andre at the wobbly peacock. Great guys and their drinks are the best . All around best vacation ever. Highly recommended. If you go you wont be disappointed

Disclaimer: I am reviewing the customer service I have received through the headache of trying to reschedule our honeymoon. We have not stayed yet at this resort.

My husband and I booked our honeymoon for March 22nd, 2020. Due to COVID, the resort closed and we were directed to reschedule our trip. We weren't offered a refund. Last week, we booked flights and called Sandals to reschedule our dates. (Originally, we were told we could schedule for any dates a room was available since we were forced to reschedule. I looked online, and a room was available)

After 2 hours of headache, being hung up on multiple times, with no one being able to help me, I am finally connected with someone. They tell me the room we booked was not available for our dates and that we would either have to pay an extra $1000 or reschedule our flights. So, I then go through the headache of rescheduling our flights. She tells me she will send us a confirmation. We NEVER received a confirmation from Sandals. I had to call them back tonight and again spent 30 minutes on hold waiting to talk to someone.

After we finally receive the confirmation, I ask if we would still be able to receive the previously included honeymoon package since we had to reschedule our trip due to the resort closing during our honeymoon. The customer service representative says "I apologize, but due to you no longer being on your honeymoon, we will no longer offer you that package"

With all that we have been through, and the horrible customer service, I would like to cancel this trip and receive a full refund. However, since I have already changed flights once we can't get a refund on them. We are HIGHLY disappointed in the customer service that Sandals as a company has offered. We are looking into ways to cancel and receive refunds on our trip.

***To be clear, we have not stayed at Royal Plantation and this is not a reflection on the individual resort, but the company itself***

The hospitality and service is extraordinary!! You are not just a number but apart of a family.

Wonderful visit. Although the number of restaurants are limited, the food and service level at all restaurants is top notch. If you want a very laid back experience with lots of peace and tranquility, this place should be on your list.

Great place for a honeymoon. Rooms are good. Food is good. Diving is good. Would recommend.

This place is amazing aside from a cold water issue the hotel was having and the water pressure of the shower. The hotel does need renovation but that is not the staffs fault.
This place is quiet and if you are looking to just relax, take in the beach and water sports and NOT party; this is the place for you. The party place is just next door at the sister resort Ochi. This place is easy to navigate and clean. Not only was the staff excellent from the beach butlers (Daniello and Cleon) to the terrrace/grill and bar staff (Natalia,Tevin, Andrea, Clayton, Andre, Orane) but the other couples were pleasant as well.
When you go, ask for the butlers Olivia and Hector. I cannot say enough wonderful compliments about these two!!!!! The food was above average and the drinks were spectacular. The beds are very comfortable as well.
Over all an amazing time and already booked to come back in April.

The only negative was getting off the plane and the men in red shirts taking your bags then demanding a tip, because they do not work for Sandals. I can take my bags quite fine.

Wow! This place was an absolute dream! First, I want to thank all of the employees at Sandals for a wonderful and relaxing vacation- they are the reason this vacation was so phenomenal!! Every aspect of our trip was 5 stars, from the arrival at the airport to our departure and all the fun in between. Robert and Khadesha were our butlers and they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food, drinks, and above all the service was amazing!! The views of the ocean, the entertainment (special thanks to Jason who was amazing), and again the service was superb. We will definitely be going back!

Everything from rooms, food, butlers and amenities was excellent. Can not go wrong for price, seclusion and treatment.

I was so impressed with my visit to Sandals Royal Plantation! The overall experience was beyond my expectations. We booked our wedding/honeymoon at Sandals Royal Plantation. Stayed for 7 days and were so sad to leave. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful! Kelly-Ann was our on-site wedding planner. She answered all of my questions, worked out every detail for me and made us feel very special on our wedding day! She catered to our every need. We loved our photographer- he was fun and gave great direction to create amazing photos for us to remember our day. Our butlers were Sherril & Gladstone. They were both very attentive, customized our experience and were available any time we needed them! We loved interacting with them daily!! Our room was comfortable, spacious and the beach was so beautiful. We had a great view of the beach and all the water activities. The food was good, our favorite place was The Terrace for the variety they offered. We had so many people make our experience memorable from Gary a lifeguard on the beach taking us out on the water, to Anthony, Savoy, Easton, Jerome and Barbara who made every breakfast, lunch & dinner fun!! We appreciate all the conversation, fun and laughter! We are already planning our next trip!! I recommend if you want an experience, stay here, it's definitely worth it!

I had previously given this resort a four star rating and I'm not sure why. Had to have been a mistake. I came here on my honeymoon and it was, by far, the best vacation experience that I have ever had. Our butler, Gladstone, was amazing. I would give one hundred stars, if I could. I would live here, if I could. This place, CAN'T. BE. BEAT.

Afternoon tea daily at 4pm. Quiet resort with little activity. Nice pub with food and drinks.

Yes it is in need of refurb as the rooms are looking old and tired but we've been back here time and time again as the location, people, staff, food and drinks are all great. This is a quiet, small hotel with not a lot going on. This however is what we were after so it suited us great. There are alot more hotels that offer alot more entertainment but it depends on what you are after.

The whole combination of excellent service , kind genuine staff.. very clean , beds were amazing !! . The whole resort was perfect .The food was top class , I cant actually find anything to complain about. Just want to thank every single one of the staff for an incredible holiday, and we have booked to go back next year.. Very happy memories

It is a beautiful resort. The only all inclusive property with butlers. I shall only stay here or in Negril. Being able to go over to Ochi and Grand Riviera is a great addition as well. I recommend this property above all other Sandals properties in Ocho Rios or Montego bay.

Perfect, great food, clean facilities. The butlers Orwayne and Ricardo were wonderful. The bar staff and the kitchen staff were all great...Hopelyn was amazing super accommodating and a great host. The spa was the best. The staffs there were great...a MUST try. WESTLY was super nice and took us out on the water it was great! Thank you!!! They all added to making my anniversary perfectly wonderful. The other staff members were great too. This place is a touch of paradise. NO KIDS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY.
I dont like that no tipping is allowed. It should be optional. I will visit again.

Went here for my honeymoon, highly recommend! This set the bar so high, especially with the butler service and free water sports, that we've never had a comparable experience at any other luxury beach resort so far. The best thing is that it's not too busy / private feel. You also have unlimited access to the neighboring Sandles resorts with free frequent shuttle service if you want a busier scene and more restaurants.

Lovely small resort with specialized guest service. We loved vacationing here. Our butler service was outstanding. Beautiful views from our ocean facing room, onsite spa, nearby golf and water activities were all top notch.

My husband and I stayed at Sandals Royal Plantation for our honeymoon and we were blown away. To put it simply, all inclusive is always the way to go! The hospitality was beyond anything we have ever experienced. We got EVERYTHING we could have wanted from this trip. The peaceful quiet atmosphere was relaxing after all the busy stressors of wedding planning. The views and location were heavenly. We were welcomed with smiles, Champaign, water, and a wet towel and a few minutes later a tour of the beautiful resort. The food options were amazing with so many different restaurants to choose from. The lava cake was better than our wedding cake and I would come back to the resort just for the lava cake itself, bravo. But what blew us away the most is the hospitality of the staff. We were treated like friends and family. Our butlers were Kedesha and Robert and they spoiled us. They made our stay unforgettable and left a wonderful impression on us. Anything we needed, they were there for us. They were there for us even when we got on the shuttle to go to a restaurant at the next door sandals resort and didn't realize they were in the shuttle behind us to make sure we got to the restaurant. One evening we came back to our room to find rose petals from the door to a bath that our butlers had ran for us with rose petals in it. I mean, wow! Other staff like Audell, Odene, Daniello , O'neil, and many others made us feel so welcomed and relaxed like nowhere has before. We can't wait to come back and although there are other sandals and resorts, the staff made such an impression on us that we wouldn't go anywhere else. See you guys soon man.

I am in my 6th day of a 7 day stay at Royal Plantation. Sad that it is coming to an end.

The resort is unique in its historical ambience, intimate size and laid back feel. It is a special place indeed. The property itself is immaculate with gorgeous garden spaces and a charming central lobby building leading onto a massive terrace patio with sweeping ocean views.

The food here is exceptional. The only thing more impressive than the food were the people. Every guest here is provided a butler (2 actually). We found Adrian and Ashpole to be extremely attentive, informative and funny ! Great guys. In fact every member of the team at Royal Plantation could not have been nicer. We felt pretty special here which is a rare feeling in today s broader hospitality industry. A special shout out to Adrian at the beach bar. Adrian went out of his way to make us feel welcome and he never let our drinks go empty. A funnier, cooler guy I have never met. I will miss practicing my Patois on Adrian ! I will also miss playing Shock Box at the beach bar with Romane.

The only negative comment I would make about the resort relates to the room fixtures and furnishings. A bit outdated and starting to show age. The rooms are amazing in terms of views and cleanliness but a refurb is needed here and I suspect the management knows that. Not a 5 Star room. But all other aspects of this resort were 5 Star or better in my opinion.

I am planning to return to Royal Plantation in 2020. Sandals Grande Saint Lucian for us next year !

Royal plantation is the perfect little hide away, perfect for relaxing

Want to go back there every year! The staff was very attentive and fun. Olivia, our butler, was incredible!! The wedding staff, Rannae and Kelley were the bomb! Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Beautiful quaint, quiet resort, all rooms are butler category. If its took quiet for you, you can hop over to Ochi and party it up! This will definitely be our next Sandals resort to try out.

The food and service are beyond compare. It has exceeded my expectations. One our favorite places to visit. The staff are extraordinary.

This is a wonderful resort, and maybe one of our favorites. The only thing that brings the rating down is if you are in the west wing, the nightly entertainment sounds like it is in the room with you. Last night there were 9 people in the gazebo area not mor than 30 feet away, but the volume of the bands was set as if they were trying to provide entertainment for the entire Ochie area. Turn the volume down, and the rating goes up.

Relaxing and laid back, butler service is special and staff is attentive. Next door to Sandals Ochi if you want a night of more upbeat entertainment (access is included) Entertainment at Royal Plantation is diverse leaning toward beach sophistication. Many guests tell us they have been coming for years. Food and food service is very good.

Worth the money spent. Superb staff. Great food. Spa visit is a must!

My new husband and I went here for our honeymoon in early December. This place was amazing. We loved our butlers Kadesha and Robert. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had our beach butlers..Adrian, Daniello, and Romane. They were awesome. ONeil was so nice too! We recommend going to the breakfast buffet instead of having breakfast in the room...such good food and diverse. Barbara greeted us every morning there with smiles, was extremely professional and super sweet. We will definitely be back. We went to Ochi next door and while it was good...we loved the atmosphere of the plantation...relaxing and we didn't have to lift a finger. Amazing amd beautiful.

What we loved: Beautiful hotel. Small enough that it's not crowded and you can get to know other guests. Private beaches. Access to sailing, water sports at a whim. Great french restaurant. Nightly intimate concerts - some were absolutely outstanding and I would have paid to attend! They make you feel welcome. You have access to the other nearby Sandals resorts and shuttles to get you there, but the other resorts don't have access to this one. It's not a constant spring break/party atmosphere like the other resorts - it's relaxing and elegant. Butlers were willing to run to the next resorts to get specialty foods that the Royal Plantation didn't have.
Could have been better: The private beaches were a bit small, so when most of the resort occupants were on the beach it was a bit crowded for our tastes. Snorkeling only 1x/per day - I'm a bit picky, I could snorkel all day long. Restaurants were a bit limited in fare, though the pub certainly tries (we asked them to make some nachos, which was clearly a foreign concept, but they tried - priceless!). You still had to make reservations to the French restaurant, which was annoying. I wish some of the excursions were not built around everybody getting drunk in the first 5 minutes. Sometimes the butlers were great, sometimes they seemed put out that you would call them.
Would we go again? Definitely!

Beautiful resort with high touch service. Small enough to be intimate, yet large enough to not feel crowded. The restaurants were all very good. Le Papillon is a reservation only restaurant with excellent French cuisine. This is an all butler suite property. Our butler Neal was great. He was genuine, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommend this resort.

My mother in law works here. She got me and my husband a day pass on the resort. We are drank and watching the show. The food n desert was excellent.the show was nice.the resort is VERY beautiful especially at night when they cut on the lights around to resort.. It was amazing. Couples only. No kids allowed.
