Spent 2 hours at the Australian Garden, the sights were amazing, will definitely go again to take a walk around the whole Cranbourne garden trail.
A beautiful garden and a wonderful experience. Free entry and plenty of space to walk and explore native Australian flora. Highly recommend!!
The grounds here are beautiful and so well maintained. Everytime we visit there is new tracks for the kids to checkout and new areas to explore. Organic coffee at the cafe was really nice as well. And the water area for wading is always a massive hit with the kids
Wonderously unusual! Unique as it follows non-european garden design. A real treat to the senses. We will return.
Awesome place, highly underrated. Definitely visit.
Great place to go with kids. Lots of exploring to do.
Great botanic garden. Well laid out and huge. A lot to learn about Australian flora here

Def. a great for a family to visit. A lot of different plants and beautiful flowers. The design of the garden is also very pleasant. It is new. I can see that it would become much more better in a few years. But it is still worth a visit at the current stage.
Stunning gardens, beautiful collection of native plants, many I d never seen before. Well worth the trip.
Ample parking, free entry, two cafes, and picnic areas with BBQ facilities if you want to bring your own grub.
Lovely experience looking at all the different areas of the gardens.
We arrived just after 9am , so plenty of parking and while it was drizzling, the calming atmosphere was was exhilarating.
What a fantastic gem in south-east Melbourne. I can't recommend this place enough. We spent a good 2 - 3 hours in ghe gardens and saw so many highlights. The variety of Australian flora on display is mind-boggling. I discovered so many plants and flowers I have never seen before. The landscaping is also excellent. A big variety of areas and spaces to explore. I was also surprised at the variety of birds in the gardens.
We will be adding this to the list of Melbourne 'must sees' when hosting visitors to Melb. Take the family and make a day of it.
Amazing gardens and great inspiration for my own garden. So much work goes into this garden.
An awesome spot to wander and get ideas for your own native gardens.
Can get food at one of the two cafes or bring your own picnic and enjoy some time with family or friends.
Great place to chill out with the walking tracks and the lookout point and BBQ stations. Blessed to have this in this area.
Australian natives are my favorite plants. I enjoy gardening, so walking around here gives me so many ideas on what to grow and the different landscape designs are very inspiring. It is a wonderful place to just relax in. I took my grandchildren this day and they loved playing in the water and on the slide that ends up at the end of a skeleton made of logs. They enjoyed the freedom of running around and playing in the expansive gardens. They also had fun riding on the Explorer which took us around the water ways and all the wonderful displays. We finished off our day in the restaurant with a lovely afternoon tea.
Every time I come I see something new. Every season has interesting corners.
A well presented and interesting garden based on Australian Native flora.
Love Australian Garden, have visited numerous times over the years, am never disappointed. Kids enjoyed paddling in the water area.
Very nice themed gardens spread out across a large open space.
Bike ride only goes around the outside loop. Not multiple paths as it says in the advertising. Part of the loop is the road in for cars. Did not appreciate being told, "Bikes aren't allowed here" by an official when we couldn't find the bike racks. There are only two inverted U securiposts.
Plenty of parking, well maintained garden lots of sightseeing and a great place for kids.
Great insights into how you can use native plants in your own garden
Beautiful gardens, including a fantastic little water area for the small tots to wade in- be sure to take a change of clothes! Nice cafe + friendly staff. Only negative, wish there were more shady spots & a playground suited to toddlers.
Such an awesome little gem!! Great spot to visit for a leisurely walk. The water is beautiful and there are alot of gorgeous native birds around. The gardens are well maintained and extensive. Brunch at the cafe is a must! Just delicious and super friendly staff.
The kids and I love this place. From the river walk to the lifestyle lake to the playground in the picnic area. So many different types of trees and plants all in one place. They have the cafe at the beginning and also another small coffee shop on the other end, shuts at 4 on weekends though.
What a fabulous place. Wander around for hours! Not only all species of Australian plants but great design ideas for your garden. If stopping for coffee make sure you ask for a double shot.
Such a beautiful place, 3 generations visiting, we all loved it. Cafe & gift shop great as well
I loved it, it's free to walk around and see the beauty of this place. Seeing is believing. Great place to take the kids.
Even on a cold grey winter's day, the gardens never fail to impress. Highly recommend to visit.
Interesting place to go but I was expecting a little more wow. Seemed to give the feel that it perhaps has had better days...
Saying that I would expect it to be quite educational for students.
Beautiful garden with different species of plants. Good day to spend a day for all age group.
Great place. Weather wasn't great when we were there, so we will go back again. Fortunately, the quilt show was on at the time and so we could spend time there keeping out of the cold wind and a great show it was.
Great place to go and relax and unwind from the week
Fabulous. Well worth a visit. Love it there. Great with the kids. Nice bike ride around the park. Good walking tracks. Great lookout
Very cool place to visit lots of interesting g walking options.
A really spectacular display of Australian natives.
Yesterday I visited the Cranbourne Botanical gardens and went on a tour with Paula.
The gardens are absolutely superb and I would like to commend Paula for her enthusiasm and knowledge as we walked the trail. It wasn t the best day to visit weatherwise but I m so glad I did. Congratulations.
Lovely place lots of people and it a shame that they didn't put a donation in the box I think management should put a price on entry it would help
A beautiful and educational place. Needed clearer signage as to turning in off the South Gippsland Hwy coming from Cranbourne. Prior to that our GPS had directed us to Ballarto Rd at the back end of the Gardens where we could not get through. An excellent place for all age groups, would highly recommend - can eat at the cafe or byo plus the gift shop has an amazing array of Australian made goods.
Very interesting, needs more labels on plants for us foreigners.
Great place to go to, and there's a nice lookout down one of the tracks that you can see Melbourne city from. The climb to get to it is not very steep.

Beautiful atmosphere, very educational, information on native plants of the region, very good for providing ideas for the gardener who is interested in growing a draught proof native garden.
We had High Tea at the Cafe this morning and it was absolutely fantastic not only for the great food but also for the excellent customer service. And to top it off, the view was spectacular.
One of my daughters favourite park. Love the water steps and sand pit at the top
