Rotary of Annapolis: Serving the Community for a Century
Chartered on February 11, 1921, the Annapolis Rotary Club is a century-old service club that has been serving the community with dedication and commitment. As one of the largest and most active service clubs in Maryland's state capital, Rotary of Annapolis has become an integral part of the city's social fabric.
The club is part of Rotary International District 7620, which covers parts of Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia. With over 1.2 million members worldwide in more than 35,000 clubs across over 200 countries and regions, Rotary International is one of the world's largest humanitarian organizations.
Rotary Club members are business professionals who volunteer their time to serve their communities through various projects and initiatives. The organization's motto "Service Above Self" reflects its commitment to making a positive impact on society by addressing issues such as poverty alleviation, disease prevention and treatment, water sanitation and hygiene (WASH), maternal health care services (MCH), education promotion among others.
