A classic visit for the area. The facilities are clean but many exhibits have limited showings or may be closed during certain times of the day.
During the summer I have brought my students here for an experience and it is a good area to enjoy nature and see new animals. Their bird sanctuary is on of my favorite spots.
I do feel conflicted with zoos due to the psychological impact it can have on animals. The fennec fox paced and the some baboon behaviors seemed stressed but overall all animals have an ok amount of space and enrichment.
There was also an event held here where it was catered and supported by the zoo. Delicious food and great environment for a large gathering of people to celebrate.

Place keeps improving! I love the zoo. Hope giraffes someday?

I loved this zoo. I have a autism child and he has a service dog that goes everywhere with him. And they understood and was very helpful I suggest if anyone has a child that has a disability this is the best zoo to bring them.and omg the animals they have was worth going there .

Since animal are in the World and humans will eat and kill them out of ignorant behavior. The Zoo introduced the animals as education. It is good for our children So out of fair and the lack of education they don't become distrustful and destroyers.

Great variety of animals, very friendly staff and fun set-up for the kids. Worth the trip everytime

Nice sized zoo for the city it's located in. Great for little ones since they don't have to walk long and there are plenty of kid activities to do. Right now they are going through some renovations, so there isn't a complete loop at the zoo. But once it's open, it should be pretty awesome.

Great place for kids. Lots to do but not too big. Well priced. I like that you can bring your own food.

I was surprised by how many animals there were. I have to wonder how their winter enclosures are during the brutal winters we have here. The grandkids had a blast though.

Smaller than we expected. A few exhibits were closed or animals were not out. The layout of some exhibits made it difficult to see the animals. Price is fair given the size of the zoo.

Best Zoo! My husband, daughter, and I had a great experience. The staff at the entrance are absolutely amazing!

They're opened in winter! This is such an exciting thing- not common for the zoo's I have been to. We took the kids up for some mid-winter open-air, social-distancing fun. The red wolves and timber wolves were out and active, and even the tiger was out playing in the snow! Gift shop was great too.Affordable, and a great selection of fun items.

It's the zoo, the animals are treated great, and in good weather visibility of animals can be great

Dinomania is going on until Labor Day! There are many amazing, realistic robotic dinosaurs. They move, talk, growl grunt, scream and even spit at you. Fun for the whole family!

The animals are well cared for and the staff very knowledgeable

Don't go when the sun is out. The animals are all hiding in the shade. Best to go on a cloudy day. Liked the elephants. The life like bugs that moved and made noise were cool. Kids enjoyed that. Enjoyed the penguins.

Always great, always a bargain! Been coming to this zoo for well over 10 years and it never dissapoints. With the cooler weather the big cats were very active today! Snow leopards make the most adorable sound. Recommend this zoo highly!!

Nice new dinosaurs addition. I've noticed the lion and tiger are more active and easier to see in the afternoon than morning. At least I noticed that from all the times I've gone.

Really love this place. I always enjoy seeing the animals. It is a clean and easy to traverse environment. A vast array of animals and going there for things like Brew at the Zoo is always fun. I recommend going and exploring and learning.

We loved the zoo !! We went there for a trip with my sons autism group and we had such an amazing time!!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to go to a zoo in the upstate New York area !! My kids really enjoyed themselves!!!

We love coming to this zoo. It s easy to navigate through the exhibits, the facilities are clean, and it s just the right size for small children. Last year we experienced the giant animatronic dinosaurs, and this year it was a humongous bugs! Such a fun time; my 2 year old loves the penguins and being able to stand at the glass under the water to watch the little penguins swim. Baby elephant Ajay was in the building, so he was a little harder to see, but he was adorable when looking through the viewing glass. We can t wait to go back.

I've been to Brew At The Zoo 3 years in a row. It is always a pleasurable experience!

It was a great! We went when the dinosaur exhibit was in town and they did a great job putting that together. There's lots to do, my two kids loved all the different animals. One thing that stuck out to me was how much more space the animals had to roam compared to other zoos in the area. Very nice to see. Get ready for a hike, but it's worth it!! Highly recommend!

Cute zoo. Going during a nice Winter day was worth it. Animals are active and no crowds. We had a nice time.

I always enjoy coming to the zoo. I've been here a lot of times though the years. A wonderful place to spend time with your family. Children loves seeing all the different animals.

Love the zoo. Currently alot is shut down and there isn't as many animals to see, so it was a quick visit. We always love to see the elephants, sea eagal and ravens.

This was a intimate small zoo that has all the bells and whistles of a large zoo except giraffes. The concessions were over priced but I guess that's standard for all zoos. The gift shop is very cute and had a large variety of stuffed animals and random nick nacks.

Rosamond Gifford Zoo had done a great job with social distancing and keeping things safe for visitors. The signage is easy to follow. Many exhibits are open with guides available to explain and answer questions.

My son and I planned our visit to the zoo to see the snow leopard exhibit. It was a way for him to see the animal that he chose for his science fair project in real life. The zoo staff went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Rosamond Gifford Zoo has top notch staff. To Jaime and Peg, Thank you so much!

Unfortunately there was construction but we were still able to see all the animals. They now have 2 baby red pandas. They were so adorable.

We love our zoo, perfect size and very clean, animals are well cared for and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. We love the different family events they do and all the extra activities they include the animals in. Will always be our family's go to zoo!

It's a cute little zoo, a nice place to take your little ones to. The elephant preserve was nice to see & the park was very clean.

Good selection of animals. Small enough to get through in a couple hours but long enough to keep everyone interested.

It was wonderful and very interesting I was very happy to see that you tried to provide for everyone who has has money or who does not have money I found at the food for the kids was very well priced I found that the gifts in the gift shops are good price too cuz there are a lot of people who do not have the money or can afford to go to the zoo o and buy things for the children but I do appreciate everything you people do for our community and for the animals thank you very much for your time and your effort Mary Okaru

The Syracuse zoo is definitely improving. They are adding more displays, such as the jellyfish exhibit. The new elephant habitat is really nice.

They're elephant viewing spot is amazing and they're upgrading it. They also just added a carousel to the zoo. It's a great zoo.

I was so disappointed. The staff was friendly. And dont get me wrong I love going to the zoo. It was in such disarray. Half the zoo you could not see. Hopefully they will clean it up and make it a place to enjoy

Had lots of childhood memories at this zoo, took my kids this weekend and wasn't impressed. The enclosures stunk, exhibit poorly display animals, no variety of animals,was very disappointing.

This is a nice zoo for the region. Not the best zoo I have ever been to, but a great local attraction.

Excellent, knowlegeable staff. Reasonable priced for the whole family. Great exercise. I highly recommend family plus one annual membership. Many reciprical zoos to visit at reduced price with membership.

Always a great place to take the little ones I think we enjoy it as much as they do
