Only issue I have with the zoo is the restaurant. The prices for the food are too expensive for what yo u get. Honestly for what they charge you for the food you can make a meal that will feed everyone in the party. Also it needs to be renovated, the restaurant that is. It looks the same as it did when I was 6. I'm 30.

Its been a while since I visited Rosamond Zoo. It was a nice quiet Monday. Some exhibits were under construction but we were able to see quite a bit of animals close and some were awake and roaming their cage. The Tigers cage can use some upkeep. There was a nice exhibit in the center of the zoo for the primates. It was nice to see the monkeys enjoying the ropes. Overall a nice hot and calm day with the family.

Great little zoo in Syracuse. The newly renovated elephant area looks really nice. Don't forget to visit in the winter too when some of the animals are very active in the cooler weather.

Volunteering for twenty years there, my thots are qualified to say, Syracuse works Safely, and very hard, and presents fantastic habitats for all the animals. We are blessed to have a top quality staff of Zoo keepers and a Great Director , Ted Fox.

Came here with my girlfriend on the later side early in the season. It is a very nice and pretty large zoo with lots too see a few of the exhibits were closed such as the wolf one but I think it said it would be open later in the season. They don't let you bring in more than a water bottle so I would just snack on the drive in. The elephant exhibit was wonderful we just made it in time (already after they close technically) by minutes and got to see all of the elephants playing and walking

We took our two kids in the afternoon and had a good time. The zoo is smaller, so it was easily walkable by younger kids. It looks like they're doing work on some outside exhibits, so there were some empty sections. The elephants were active and a highlight. We watched them for a while. We also saw a cool octopus, penguins, red pandas, armadillos, a variety of monkeys, apes, and lemurs. For small zoo, they had a good selection of animals. They had animatronic dinosaurs throughout the zoo, but that's only there a few more days.

A nice zoo, making an effort to create a space that is pleasant for both the visitors and the animals. Sadly, this means many of the animals on display can be hard to find, but the tradeoff is worth it. The zoo is clean and well kept, with a nice variety of animals. The elephant exhibit is particularly good. We were disappointed to find there were no more lions, and the tiger was impossible to find.

I'm giving 3 stars because yesterday is the second time we drove 2 1/2 hours to see the elephants and couldn't see them. There was nothing posted on your website about the construction and that they were unaccessible. My 3 year was disappointed that she couldn't see her favorite animal. Also I expected to pay a little more for food but $9 for a pile of lettuce with a chicken strip on it and $9 for a cheeseburger is a little ridiculous next time we know to eat somewhere else. The rest of our trip there was great. Will definitely be back but hopefully next time we will be able to see all the animals.

Under construction right now they are adding a new walkway and expanding the area for the Asian elephants. It's not a massive zoo. Saw everything in under two hours but still a very nice activity for only $9 per adult. It's was not too busy they day we went and the staff were extremely pleasant and informative

Went there today with my grandson. Traveled 90 miles. Had an appointment as required. You weren't able to see the majority of the exhibits, closed. The majority of the exhibits you could go to had no wildlife to see. Walked around the designated area and saw elephants, wolves, wild pigs, ducks. Nothing wonderful. Wait till it opens up completely. They still charge full price for admission, no cut in price. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

Kids had fun but some the animals looked very depressed and not taken care of ...was charged full price even though aquarium was closed due to covid which I think is silly considering you have to make a reservation to come in the first place and you're wearing a mask the whole visit

Visited on 10/18/18. It was perfect. Barely any people were there and the animals that are usually hiding or sleeping on the hot summer days were up and about. Off season is the best season

I've been to this Zoo with family and friends 2 times and loved it both times. Military and family get in FREE which is wonderful. Lots of exhibits, indoors and outdoors, and lots to see. They offer food in the small cafe(I had a turkey sandwich, it was good and made fresh). Over all a good time.

It's nothing but a money maker, abig family would not be able to afford getting in and eat and souvenirs.by the time I got out of there I had spent over a 100.00 dollars for three of us.

I feel as though every time we go to this zoo, the animals are more and more anxious. All the animals do is pace or tear the hair off their tails. They pace so much they have warn marks in their habitat. When we went to the cafe, my husband got a jumbo hotdog which was NOT jumbo, it was a normal sized hotdog which was ridiculous. When something says jumbo you expect jumbo. For the price of this "jumbo" Hotdog you could have bought a whole package of them. It's just depressing seeing how lost the animals act/look.

The zoo did not have many animals. It was definitely not up to our expectations. We were extremely disappointed. There was no warnings that the bridge was under construction until you hit the part that was under construction.

Was way to many empty exhibits. Expect to walk lots and see very little. Was very dissatisfied. Been to a few animal parks this summer. Hands down this was the worst. Just my honest opinion.

This zoo is very fairly priced with plenty of animals to see inside and out. You can spend a couple hours walking around it's not too big or too small. Would be a lot of fun for kids. I went on a warm day in the winter so a few things were closed but i think it may be worth it to go when they are open again.
