Roosters Men's Grooming Center - Johns Creek, GA Review

I had a perfect visit to roosters last week. Good service and a great haircut.

After several times at Roosters, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. All of the stylists I've had have done an excellent job. My teenage son loves it, too!

I was looking for a local beard grooming salon. I happened upon Roosters and was pleasantly happy with the entire process. From online scheduling to the final transaction. Awesome job from the entire staff. I'll be back!

Waited for 30 minutes past my appointment time for Lois and still no sign of being taken any time soon. I had to walk out. I tried to write a complaint on their corporate website and their website was defective and did not allow any input.

So I came across roosters while browsing for barbershops around me and came across this place, so I read some reviews and decided to book a appointment with Erica! The cut and shave was incredible! Such great attention to detail and explained every step of the process. Even though I'm socially awkward the small talk was very friendly and welcoming. I will be back!

My barber is fantastic! I have been going to Roosters weekly for over 2 months and Paris (no relation) always keeps my beard looking fresh. She along with the owners are very personable and professional. The shop is impeccably clean and prices are reasonable. I truly enjoy the great conversation and superb customer service. If you visit you will not be disappointed.

When I first stepped into this facility on Friday, April 6th, 2018, it was just to give some information and prices. I was immediately greeted very kindly and this surprised me because the lady that greeted me was busy cutting another gentleman's hair. The other barber shops that I have been to, don't greet you per say, especially if they are busy with something else. The lady pointed out a brochure that had all the information in it and as I left she told me good bye very politely. I already knew that I needed to come back and check this place out thoroughly.

I sought to make an appointment online but due to not knowing what exactly I needed I decided to just walk-in and see if they could point me in the correct direction on the hair services that I needed. When I arrived the 2nd time, the atmosphere and generosity were the same as the 1st time, except Ms. Jade (who cut my hair) and a gentleman who I believe was the manager were the ones who greeted me. As I spoke with them and let them know what I wanted, they suggested items that were $20 cheaper than what I originally expected to pay!. That really shocked me because all the other barber shops I went to usually suggest the more expensive items for the reason we all know, so that they can make more money.

Once we decided what hair services I needed, Ms. Jade took me to her chair and the grooming began. Ms. Jade was very kind, detailed, conversational, and just a joy to be around. She let me know everything she was about to do and took her time with it! I haven't been so pampered and taken care of since I was 4 years old and relied on my mother to cut and wash my hair. When she finished, I looked and felt like a new man and couldn't wait to show and tell my wife all of the details!

This place has won my head and heart, I cannot wait to go back and be pampered by Ms. Jade again!

I have been searching for my dream barber who can give me a constant great haircut and I m SOO happy I found Erica here at Roosters! Not does she always give me awesome haircuts she gives THE MOST relaxing mini neck massages and shampoos! BOOK WITH HER YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

Went for the first time today and had a great experience. I had gone a while without a haircut due to COVID and Carolyn wasn t phased at all. She gave me an awesome haircut and made look acceptable to the world again :D Definitely recommend Carolyn especially if you have thick hair like mine.

When I went in for my haircut I was expecting great things because of the environment but I was mistaken. I asked for a fade on the sides and back then long enough for ME to style it on the top and front. Well I woke up this morning not able to do anything with it because of how short it was cut!

This is a great mens salon. Comfortable setting. Does not require reservations however it is recommended. A little pricey as compared to others but you cant beat the services they provide.

I really enjoyed going here. The staff is always friendly. I love all the extras that they give you. It's definitely better than 99% of the barber shops around.

Found out about Roosters online and purchased a gift card for my husband during the holidays since he was growing his beard. He enjoyed the ambiance and classic vibe of the establishment. The hot towels and shampoo with scalp massage was a treat and he was very relaxed. As an African American male with naturally coarse hair, he would've preferred different product on his beard, I was hoping to see a palmade or something more moisturizing. He was left feeling more dry and chalky. I was impressed that the shampoo bowl was at each station and loved the reclining chairs. Stylist and owner were very nice and professional. We live 45 minutes away, but it was worth the trip. Hoping next time they'll also suggest products to maintain his beard as well.

I've been going here for about a year and a half and have never failed to get a sharp cut, but today I went in and Jade gave me a phenomenal hairstyle, amazing job!

I always stop by here for a cut and I live three hours away. I love being able to walk in. And simply say "ur call" to Erica, and walking out feeling like a rock star.

Wow! Had a great experience today at Roosters. The staff was diligent with safety and very professional. Carolyn was my stylist, and I can say I have never had a more attentive and knowledgeable person cut my hair! My hair never looked better. I will be returning!

Carolyn did an amazing job cutting my hair! She not only have a great haircut (at a very good price to) but helped make sure I was very comfortable, talked through why certain products work and why some don t, plenty more great advice as well. Not to mention a generally pleasant and good person, definitely recommend asking for her!

While Carolyn is excellent at what she does you ll be just fine with anyone there. The whole staff is frankly greats at Roosters. Not to mention it s very clean, friendly, and a great experience.

Great experience. George was very friendly and professional, and made sure to explain what he was doing while also asking for my input and preference. He was easy to talk to and made the experience more enjoyable as a result. Even when I asked him to go over some spots again, he was more than happy to accommodate all requests. Cool place, welcoming vibe.

Not worth the price you pay and after explaining in detail the type of haircut I wanted, the hairstylist didn t understood and messed up my hairstyle

We have been coming here for years to get my husband and son's haircuts. I believe Sharon used to cut my son's hair and she always did a fantastic job. We have consistently had a great experience here, until today.
We called at 12:30 today and they said they could take us at 1:30 or after 3:00. We opted for the 1:30 appt as we were already out running errands. We grabbed lunch on the go in order to be punctual for our appt. We walked in right at 1:30 and were told the stylist would be with us shortly. I think they might be under new management, along with new stylists as I didn't recognize anyone when we arrived. After waiting for 15 minutes I inquired about the appt time to ensure we had the correct time. At 2:00 I ended up leaving. They told me they were running a "bit" behind but I have a hard time seeing that they would run a full 30 minutes past schedule within the hour of making the appt. It seemed to me that they took a walk in while we had to wait, even though we had made an appt.
Based on this experience, we'll be looking for a new grooming center for both my husband and son. It's disappointing, as we used to love coming here.

This place is amazing! I had the pleasure of getting my haircut by Carolyn, who's a wonderful barber. She really knows what you look for in your haircut and will bring the best out of it with a very clean, very perfected style. I am definitely visiting this place again, I've never been happier with my hair!

Quebec did a great job on my hair. She was great at understanding what I was going for, and offered suggestions that made me look 10 years younger in the end. Kidding, but this is a nice place to come. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location with a great staff! The owner treats it very professionally to make sure your experience is top notch. I have had my hair cut by numerous hair dressers at this location and never been let down. If you get to choose your hair dresser or set an appointment, pick Erica! She has done an amazing job every time and I hate that I am moving states because she has set the bar very high for my next hair dresser! Thank you Roosters and staff!

I brought my son to Great Clips and I was not happy at all with the bowl cut look the stylist gave him I asked her to fix it but it kept getting worse, so we stopped over at Roosters because of all the amazing reviews and I couldn t have been more happy for stopping in!
Erica did such a fabulous job fixing the mess he had! I was a little skeptical of her Because she looked young but she made his hair magically transform into what I wanted and he felt more confident! The whole place had a fantastic atmosphere, free drinks were the icing on the cake! thank you so much Erica again and Roosters Mens Grooming I ll be bringing my husband here!

The only place I'll ever get a cut from. I live 3 hours away. And travel to Atlanta every few months and ALWAYS stop by to get a cut from Erica. Theres no * i'll wait a couple days and I'll like it* no I walk out the door feeling like G-Eazy and Mic Jagger somehow had a son.

Had an appointment with Carolyn, told her very plainly that I wanted to clean up the sides and back but not to cut much off anywhere and that I would like the rear left long. She paid no attention, I don't know if she was too busy talking or just didn't know how to cut in any other way but she cut it so short it will take months to get back to normal. Would never go here again, I can get a $10 haircut anywhere that is better.

I have been coming to Roosters after Great clips jacked me up a few months ago. Since then, Samantha has done a great job of taking care of me and have even gotten a few compliments the last few weeks! The facilities are very nice, well kept up and the whole staff is just great. It is a little bit more expensive than Great Clips but for the $ its a no-brainer.

I have tried different lot of hair dresser since last one year I moved to Atlanta burbs and none of them met my expectations. I am glad I stopped by this place and had my hair cut by Carolyn. She is the best and really understood what I was expecting and really gave attention to detail. I would highly recommend her next time you visit this place. The place it self is clean and really taking care of social distancing during this pandemic...try your hair cut by Carolyn you will not regret it.

Carolyn is a professional and very caring stylist. She takes time to understand what you are looking for in a style and is diligent about achieving that outcome. She is personable and clearly enjoys her craft. I definitely recommend her and this Roosters location.

I ventured out of my normal place for a haircut and decided to visit Roosters. Upono arrival the first thig they do is offer you a drink while you wait to be seen. The wait was minimal, less than 5 minutes. The service provided was exceptional. I look forward to returning.

Hands down the best haircut I have received since I moved to Georgia a year ago. I ve tried several salons/barbershops and none of them came close. The barbershop itself is nice, but Erica is AWESOME! She does an amazing job and I highly recommend her. Erica is now my go to person for hair cuts now and in the future. Thank you Erica!

This place will destroy your hair for money.

I have been here a few times, but my last experience was AWEFUL.

I made an appointment, and with the storms I was going to be about 10 minutes late. I called to inform them of this and they said it was fine.
Later they called me about 5 after my appointment to cancel. Why? Because a client just walked in who was getting more expensive stuff done and if I can t keep my appointments then... I cut him off right there. I wasn t going to drive 40 minutes in traffic to be kicked off 3 minutes away. So after I had to yell at him what appointments are about. They took me.
Now the hair cut.
Paris wasn t happy to see that I made it. She told me I wouldn t be able to get a full service (although I would be paying for it) Because she had that other client to get to and then began to cut my hair. I don t like the top of my hair less than 4 inches so I can style it. She cut it down to 2. And where the cow lick is, which is normally smoothed out with product, SHE JUST CUT IT OUT. Then she says she ll go ahead and wash it quickly and just uses shampoo DESTROYING my naturally soft hair.
So I left with a too short, uneven, straw-feeling haircut. I ve gotten better hair cuts at great clips and I HATE great clips.
My hair is a mess, unwieldy and I had to have a friend give me some sort of coconut treatment just to make it feel like hair again. All because of 10 minutes in a storm.
This place showed that greed comes before the customer.
Stay away.

I asked if they could do a simple line up and she said "of course", she didn't know anything about classic barbershop styling and I had to walk her through the whole thing. She put a crooked line right above both ears. I get to the front and the receptionist is crying her poor little eyes out and I didn't know why. Will not return again.

Carolyn did an amazing job with my latest haircut. I got my most recent haircut for a wedding, and she made sure I was the best looking groomsman there! Excellent place to receive a haircut.

They also have many procedures in place for the safety and health of their customers!

Jade is the absolute best barber in the shop I can t recommend her highly enough, I ve only gotta. Perfect haircuts. There aren t a lot of good barbershops in Suwannee/Lawrenceville but Roosters takes pride in making sure every haircut it perfect and they re extremely accommodating like offering coffee or water bottles. Long story short Jade is now mybone and not stylist

Roosters Men's Grooming Center is possibly the best men's grooming center in the Atlanta area. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. The atmosphere is relaxed and almost luxurious. It does cost a little more, but it is definitely worth it. The shampoo and massage are almost addictive. The owner, Victoria has collected a group of stylists who are uniformly excellent. I can't recommend Roosters too highly.

First time ever going to a men s shop to get my beard done. I ve had a lady that has done my beard for a year now at a another place. Needless to say I won t be going anywhere but Roosters from now on. From start to finish I have never had such a great experience for my beard. I even texted a buddy who also has a long beard and told him to go check it out.

Wouldn't choose this place if you expect a professionally trimmed and groomed beard. I had to go home and tidy up the chop job myself. The beard will grow again but I will not be returning to trim it here again. Beardmen beware!!

Friendly staff and always a good haircut. It is hard for me to find someone who does a good job cutting my hair. I have lots of cowlicks and tend to go 2-3 months without getting a cut...they still do a great job! Best haircuts I've ever had.

Great place! Everyone is very nice, and the stylists will usually take the time to get to know you and your hair style. Great haircuts, and of course, the free drinks are icing on the cake!!! Would definitely recommend!

I like having my haircut there. The haircut with very nice shampoo and a warm towel around my face. I have been going there for years. Always call ahead for an appointment. Most of the time they can accommodate you on short notice.

My first visit. Last professional haircut was in January in Hanoi. When entering Roosters, I was we warmly welcomed. I was asked some questions and my temperature was checked. My barber was Nguyen Hung. I was very pleased with his work, and will return whenever I can.

My boyfriend booked an appointment at this location as he has done many times before. This place is his favorite place to get a haircut, but after his experience here today I am inclined to convince him to go elsewhere.

His appointment was at 11am and when we spoke on the phone after his appointment he said that he thought the girl who did his hair was a little overzealous on the neck shaving portion. When we met up for dinner at 7 he asked me to take a look at his neck and it was BRIGHT RED, very inflamed. You could even see the individual tracks left by the razor.

His discomfort lasted through the night and when we got home at 11pm, 12 hours after his appointment his neck was still bright red. You could see the tracks and some area were even worse than the others. The discomfort didn't subside until his neck was iced, washed, and a soothing cream applied.

He won't say anything because he loves this place, but I don't know if I want him going back.

This is by far the best Roosters Salon there is, actually it s the best salon in general. The owner is always there, so it s always run well and, she s ridiculously nice. The stylist are good at what they do, professional and talented. They pay attention to detail and treat you so well, never rushed, which I love. Jade is my stylist- she rocks, spoils me every time. I moved an hour away, but still make the drive to this specific Roosters for my haircuts. Bravo Roosters, Johns Creek.

First time coming to this location, all I can say is that this was one of the best experiences I've had at Roosters! From the second I walked in and received a very warm welcome from the front host all the way to the best haircut ever from Erica (highly highly recommend) I'll be using this location from now on!

I am a stylist currently working at roosters in johnscreek, ga. And my experience working here has been a great one. The owners/management are extremely friendly and love their clients like family. The environment and services are exceptional and every client that walks through our doors leave feeling like a new man. So gentlemen please come in and experience for yourself what we have to offer and I promise you'll leave feeling like a million bucks!!! And for all the stylist out there ( even the bitter ones) find a place like I did that best fits your personality. But remember your employer is not responsible for your success, u are! And just know your attitude determines your altitude when it comes to being successful in life.

We moved here a year ago and have been looking for a barber shop for our sons. We've tried multiple baber shops but Rooster on Melock Bridge is great! Clean environment, friendly and fast service but most important great hair cut! They know what they are doing!!

I've been patronizing Roosters in Johns Creek for over two years. The staff is professional; talented; and eager to serve for your satisfaction. They even give neck trims in between haircuts. This staff is top in their field. I've never had a bad experience or a haircut.
