Roompot Recreatie Review

Swimming pool is underprivileged, the demolition hammer is welcome. If nothing happens then everything will one day come down rusted. The roof is leaking and we had to pack our things. The rest was okay

A long weekend at Roompot Beach Resort. We were on the Ostrea. A cozy, nice and clean house with 3 bedrooms and no less than 2 bathrooms. The living room and the kitchen were on the top floor. This gave you a nice view of the harbor and the North Sea during the day. The private beach was a 5-minute walk away. There was plenty to do (especially in Halloweensfeer) for young and old. We were lucky with the weather. The dinner is the Bestevaer's restaurant was also top. Really enjoyed the delicious food and the friendly service.

--Old houses. When we arrived everything was dirty with hair and some silverfish and more. There is still 1 star because it was cleaned on request at the reception. Otherwise there was no concession at the front desk to our dissatisfaction.
The couch was very rancid and worn. You could only lie with a blanket on it. One of the beds still had a large stain on the cover. So again the disgust factor. Accordingly, there was nowhere to lie relaxed in the house.
Otherwise everything was available in the house that you need. It was small but spacious. The steep stairs are also no problem for older children and there is a stair gate at the top.
The view of the marina was lovely too.
Since we would have expected more for our money from the condition of the furniture and the cleanliness, we were quite disappointed.

- Otherwise the facility is outdated, be it the swimming pool or mini golf, everything falls apart there. You have to say that children don't pay attention to that and still had a lot of fun.

- Nice staff in the beach club.
Generally eating out is very expensive and there is not much to choose from.

- Very nice sandy beach, just a shame that the water was full of algae; accordingly not very inviting.

Well-maintained facility, dog-friendly, varied, supply on site and possible in the vicinity

Just back to finish, wonderfully floated in the pool and sat in the steam room, away stress.

Sat in a Beach house for a whole week. Top vacation a beautiful location with everything on it and really enjoyed it let them talk Roompot. Pool is a bit dated but so what, friendly people everywhere and very helpful. Renting bicycles is well arranged food is great so people don't complain we come back more often top.

We are here as campers. Nice big pitches. Sanitary facilities are in order and are sufficiently cleaned. Absolutely child- and dog-friendly.

Surprisingly nice houses.
We never have high expectations at a holiday park. At the cream pot you just sit like cattle in a park. But it was a positive experience!
The cottage was a kind of mobile home. Small but efficiently arranged, with kitchen, dishwasher and refrigerator. It was fairly clean and the beds were lovely. The advantage of the detached house is that it was very quiet.
The park itself is of course a hut-to-hut with houses, but we were not bothered by any inconvenience. The pool is a kind of sub-arctic swimming paradise, with fairly cold water and 80's gear.
The entertainment was particularly noisy, our 4 year old son didn't want to go.

OK on the whole. Affordable in low season. In the summer too expensive. In the chalets there is everything you need. Heating works better than expected.

I drive around regularly and sometimes drink some good staff

The location was great, near the beach and a lot of beautifull cities. The houses were very nice and clean

Tent, mobile homes, apartments or housing can be rented.The leisure facilities are excellent! Own swimming pool, many smaller playgrounds for children are vorhanden.Aktiv Kinderbespassung and care on site. Delicious food and if necessary also a small but expensive supermarket on the area. 2 kilometers away is an Aldi.
There is a harbor for large and small boats, as well as a kite school.

14 days horror holiday behind us. Toilets were filthy. The showers were full of shit. The beach was full of algae and it stank horribly. 800 euros for 2 weeks with caravan for that a bog. <br/> No more Roompot

The children's program is top. The staff speak 3 languages and are very friendly and the deposit we got back 8 days after arrival. All in all we are very satisfied. Had we got help directly in the beginning, it would have been worth 5 stars. But here you can go on vacation!

Nice resort with many facilities. Also nice facilities for children and there was plenty to do. Although we felt the park was full, we did not experience this as busy. Also not on a rainy day in the swimming paradise. We were in a cottage on the harbor, close to the beach. The location was perfect, the view very nice and the house itself was not large but it worked fine. Two points for improvement: the open staircase was difficult to block from below for small children. The terrace is open and immediately adjacent to the harbor. So to play outside you better take the children to the beach. So pay attention in both cases!

Houses were tidy but if the people have vacuumed for you badly and have purchased the cleaning for 65, it will only be mopped (as with us) it is dirty. The patio heater is great: you can sit outside until nice and late.
The cottage is just big enough and it is always a plus to have WiFi.

Wonderful place to get away from it all. Near the sea, get a breath of fresh air

All in all, ok, big ant problem in the mobile homes, swimming pool absulute catastrophe. Otherwise very nice staff, but understand as good as no German or English

Cottages clean interior old and worn out. Dishwasher broken. Lots of space around the house. Facilities nearby - swimming pool, supermarket etc. Definitely recommended if you want to get some fresh air and relax. Also for young children.

It's ok ... the playground is not centrally located, which is a shame. The other actions are also out of place.

My sister (5) is sick and has heart disease, we had rented a house that was very good but there was a power box next to it. My sister was sick because of that, she could have written where we booked the house that something would have been next to our house we didn't take the house, but then we had to stay in the house because apparently nothing was left my sister is now badly ill because of the power box because we weren't allowed to leave: Summary:

My sister has heart disease, there were many power boxes next to our house, she is sick, on the other hand, they didn't write in the booking that there was such a power box next to our house, now she is so sick because of that, they would have given us another house can before my sister gets sick worse but they didn't do it so they didn't care what happened !!!

It is a pity that the website and map of the volleyball court and tennis court promised when booking and that these were not present. Tennis field was changed to paintball field, volleyball net was missing only after a week and a half there was a net ...

From here, many cycling routes have been followed in beautiful surroundings

Offer for children great, but the cleanliness factor is not so big there. The food is not recommended. Except the pizzeria which was really good.

With the tent camped for 4 days with private shower, toilet and sink. The hot water from the sink didn't work. The shower is horrible with a harsh middle jet. The water became cold when the tap was turned down. Furthermore, many facilities at the park. We had a delicious dinner on the terrace. The supermarket is very spacious. The old swimming pool is still a pleasure to be in. Friendly staff.

I had a great time here, the houses are very confortable. I really like it.

Cottages are very small. Swimming pool is already somewhat outdated.

Mobile home of the type rp6a taken. Everything is in principle present. Very small basic bathroom to stay here with 6, luckily with 4 here. Interior space is small and cozy. The table on the sofa is too large to be easy. Would have liked smaller. In terms of hygiene it is possible, but ours was only cleaned with a vacuum cleaner and not with a mop. Our feet and stockings were black. Very close to the center of the park. Good sized supermarket. Restaurant options are limited here. Menus are almost the same. Activities for the children are fun to do. Good animation team!

Swimming pool and sanitary facilities are outdated and may need a renovation and insufficient parking space at the camping site.

We had a very nice house by the sea with a beautiful view, too bad we had to wait so long for the luggage service, we first waited half an hour for the parking and when we called the reception to be told that we were somewhere else they had not said this.
The first evening we had a very nice show and unfortunately we didn't go the other days because it was at 4 pm, it would be better to continue at 7 pm.

Nice campsite. For families with small children. .helaas for our 3 teenagers vsn 12 13 and 14 too little to do .. but nice so close to the beach and swimming pool.

Gosh, I thought I'd read a few nice reviews before we go to Roompot Beach Resort camping next week ....... However, I get heart palpitations from all the bad messages .... where has the hygiene, safety, cosiness gone ????? Is that going to work out .... what is Roompot doing right now to solve this as soon as possible or to tackle it ???? I am not demanding, but at least demand clean and working sanitary ..... a safe environment where children can play undisturbed?!?!?! HELP, still cancel otherwise !?

It's very quiet and very pleasant here
Depending on the situation, you walk to the sea for about 10 minutes

The beach is quite small but not overcrowded with tourists.

The supermarket in the park is quite expensive even for Holland but not far (you can also go by bike) is an Aldi that is quite cheap in proportion.

The offer for children is quite good as we have 4 ourselves it was quite relaxing.

The accommodations are getting a bit old but quite modern.

Very good WiFi key in every residential unit.

On the whole, very successful

Everything okay. Were here in the autumn holidays, unfortunately bad weather caught. The courses are pretty under water, that would have to be changed urgently. The sanitary facilities are not recommended, would have to be thoroughly refurbished. The associated swimming pool is great. Included in the price.

In May 2019 we booked a wellness chalet that was built in 2019.

We felt very comfortable, the condition, the cleanliness, the hygiene, the facilities, the location ... was absolutely great.

For this reason we booked the same chalet again in September 2019.

However, we were very disappointed with the deteriorating cleanliness on this holiday.

There were toothpaste stains on the bathroom floor, all the radiators were covered with a thick layer of dust, all the windows were stained inside and out, the garden table was stained with coffee, all the white walls were stained with lots of stains. Just a couple of examples.

Since we have a small baby who is crawling and puts a lot in its mouth, we wiped the floor shortly after our arrival.
We used up 5 buckets of dirty water.

This negligence in such a short time with the cleanliness is a shame.

Despite the final cleaning, we first spent our vacation with an almost 2 hour cleaning afternoon in order to feel hygienically comfortable with the baby.

Furthermore, the door to the freezer compartment was broken when we arrived, so we couldn't use it and couldn't freeze anything.

We reported this to the reception immediately, with the feedback that the repair would be taken care of as soon as possible.

After a week we went to the reception again to point out the damage 6.

During our 14 day vacation no technician came and repaired the damage.

Actually all small things, but unfortunately a bit annoying.

The cleaning company must urgently work on cleanliness!

Really nice location, lots of nature, nice beaches, awesome kite surf spots and the amazing delta works. If you have kids the delta works amusement park is great and teaches everyone why and how the storm barriers were built. Awesome place to eat mussels.

Well laid out space, many different accommodation options (campsite, bungalows, beach houses, "chalets"). In close proximity to the beautiful and wide sandy beach.
Even with a lot of activity, you will find quiet corners.
Diverse children's entertainment.
I really cannot recommend the "tropical swimming paradise". It's more than getting old, it's raining through the roof and it looks very run down.

The campsite was too massive for us. Beach / sea was disappointing. Little waves, lots of jellyfish and seaweed. Horse shit on the beach is just gross. Also the many car traffic that drives back and forth (sometimes quite fast) on the campsite is not nice given the small children who also cycle and play there.
Staffy and helpful. Your daily groceries are available in the store.

Very happy to have fun on holiday for small children and teenagers

Nice park but very simple mobile homes, without any atmosphere and cosiness. You book them as a "chalet", but it is an uninviting boring plastic construction site.

beach houses are pretty neat, are too high on posts so that you have lost contact with the beach and water. Furthermore, an over active dirt collection service that drives way too fast over the beach. An overactive security man. Dogs that people carry bark at everything they hear. In short, I will look somewhere else next time.

We had a nice apartment and recommended out of season. However, some areas are getting a bit old, but that didn't bother us.

The sea is within walking distance, a pitch for a motorhome costs only 14 per day with electricity. There is also a beautiful swimming pool here

A classic roompot park with the appropriate design. The part at the marina is very nice. The swimming pool unfortunately a bit old. The new Water Village looks good, but since the houses are close together and the planted trees and bushes have to grow, it feels very close. But otherwise ok - nothing wrong with night.

A great holiday place with beautiful beaches near the pub with seafood.

Neat and clean camping ground. No shower coins necessary. Friendly staff. Our place was a bit stenchy. So it's 4 and a half stars. Clear recommendation

Very busy with Germans. With the camper you only get an Acsi discount if you are inside, but if we were not allowed to enter because of the bad weather, we would damage the grass. Strange. Everything is focused on the houses, as a camping guest you have nothing to want. From here near the beach with a view of Neeltje Jans.

We were there for the first time with our 3 grandchildren, otherwise we always go to Center Parks. The houses or container houses are just very close. I really don't need the toilet next to the dining and living room. These parks no matter which ones are definitely overpriced during the school holidays. What I don't like at all here are the many cars on the houses in the center parks, the cars are parked in a large parking lot at the entrance after unloading. The restaurant in this park has long waiting times and is really bad. The beach club is ok.

We booked the mobile home with the number 1717 on the premises of Roompot Beach Resort via eezz.nl.

This was in a very bad and neglected condition.
Upon entering it smelled musty, the curtain on the front door was so dirty that you couldn't be touched.
The sofa cushions were also extremely dirty (see photos), even though they could easily be removed with a zipper for cleaning.
The sheets weren't much better, and under the mattress there was a baby pacifier and a condom from one of the previous tenants, along with other dirt.

There was mold on the ceiling in both bedrooms, as well as in one of the bathrooms.

The fact that the bungalow is right in front of the sewage treatment plant and that a spicy gush blows over it doesn't make it any better, but it would have been manageable if the accommodation had been well maintained.

The garden was overgrown and has not seen any garden tools for a long time.

Out of sheer misery, we then invested ourselves and washed some blankets and the curtains at our own expense and bought a room fragrance to whitewash the musty smells.

We then put the blankets over the couch, hung up the washed curtains and set up the room fragrance. It wasn't great, but at least it was bearable.

Due to our request for an opinion on these points, we were replied in writing that there was nothing we could do about it, as we did not report this directly on arrival.

We reported it after 5 days.

Because of the things reported by us that simply cannot come from us, such as mold, and extremely dirty materials (which you could never mess up like that in 5 days) no goodwill is really disappointed us.

Something can always go wrong (even if there was a lot here), but what matters is how the provider reacts to it.
Instead of a standard letter, it would have been customer-oriented if at least one employee had a look at this on site and then at least offered goodwill for the things that were clearly the result of insufficient maintenance.

For us it will probably have been the last time we booked through eezz.nl.

Last week at the campsite. Large playground and swimming pool are a fifteen minute walk. Small children cannot go to a playground alone. Beach is close.
Hygiene of the toilet buildings is downright bad, what a dirty mess. Anything but corona proof.

Newly renovated cottages very fresh and modern. And a nice well-kept plaza with everything you could wish for. The cottages are difficult to furnish with 2 camping beds. Furthermore, a top location in a top environment.

Lovely renovated house with a little view of the sea and the harbor. The beavert restaurant had very good child-friendly service and a nice place to eat.
Restaurant at the indoor playground was not good service. We were not allowed to eat and drink, because it was too quiet. Other people who were there before did get food and drink here, very strange and unfriendly.
Nice swimming pool with fun slide and wave pool.

Nice bungalow park in a beautiful location right by the sea. The bungalows themselves are spacious and clean, with excellent quality Wi-Fi and the kitchen is even on the luxury side with a microwave and dishwasher. The park facilities are basically fine, although somewhat dated. The shop / supermarket is spacious, the snack bar okay, the buffet restaurant is only buffet-style during holidays, otherwise a la carte and not special. The indoor playground in the restaurant is small, as is the bowling. The beach is clean and great, the view of the storm surge barrier and Neeltje Jans special.

See customers wait almost 2 hours for their ordered snacks. How???? For the rest a very nice relaxed park. It certainly gets two more stars from me for that. But I was concerned with staffing.

Not to do with a child who can't walk or just walk. No fence around the roof, so a small child can fall down the stairs so you can't just leave the door open. The bunk bed has no steps requested at the reception desk there is no steps when the child has to climb from one bed to the high bed, very handy if the child wanted to go after the toilet at night. Entertainment is not great and not inviting for the kids. Maybe let a bell go or a train so that the children know it starts. A nice playground and a nice clean stretch of beach

Very good roompot to go with a camper. Everything is included, very good sanitary. Very economical. Only the swimming paradise is a bit outdated.

I expected more, the house is neat and cozy. Pool a bit on the small side, expected larger. Dangerous sloping floor in the swimming pool

Very clean, good for families. Quiet. Good entertainment programme. We were in Chalet Nr. 2014.

The cottage in the 7400 series was neat. A bit tight but neat. Bank was in need of replacement. When ordering a snack to wait very long was really too few staff. Pool nice but strange that the outside part was closed. All in all a nice and beautiful park but miss the coziness of a square where everything is. Now everything is scattered.

We have been at the campsite. In itself fine but we are not going to come back.
We think the campsite is too large and massive. The laundry rooms are fortunately large enough to withstand the crowds. The cars are not allowed on the campsite. Because the campsite is fully booked, you can barely park your car in the designated parking spaces.

The beach is beautiful. Bright fine sand, clean, no garbage, no tilting. We had a huge caravan - pitch with water and electricity right on the square, rinsing lodge there are very many small, toilets are well maintained, shower great to adjust and without stop function. The whole complex offers many employment opportunities. The children (6, 11, 14) felt well. The swimming paradise is free and really nice. Also, the mobile home, which had booked my sister, was first class and modern. We were here every Pentecost every year. It is so beautiful. Great bike paths, shop and restaurant on the square and recently a Aldi in not 5 km away in Kamperland. Close to Neeltje Jans, close to Middelburg. I also recommend Zierikzee. Netherlands - yes! Again and again!

House with aluminum roofs and people who throw bread on the roofs after which the seagulls come on the roofs to eat the bread. What a noise. Not nice if you are still in bed.

Holiday start was really bad.
Checked in at 11 am after 3 pm.
Nothing less where finally received the key at 4:45 PM.
When they arrive at the house they are still cleaning.
5:30 pm we could use the house.
Incidentally, we were not the only one reassuring.

Too bad that systems such as television and the barrier are down. That made it a hell of a job every time to get into the park with the stuff and on the colder preseason evenings watch the news on the TV unfortunately wad not included ...
They offer a complete bbq package, there is no bread as advertised, you can go back to the front of the park for the umpteenth time while your "cottage" is on the other side of the park!

Have you walked back and forth so often that the usual extra holiday kilos were not the case when you returned home, but if that is the only positive thing about your holiday, you might as well stay at home I think?

The attention for the guests can really be a lot better, we certainly felt so out of season, not exactly very welcome!
