My husband and I decided to have our wedding at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club after doing a venue tour. They fit within our budget, offered a lot of services, and were in an ideal location. On our wedding day the staff were accommodating and worked hard to keep our guest happy. Our only problem is that Black and Brown people are not adequately represented at this location. There is a predominately white staff and all white images shown in the venue. We even spoke to a staff member regarding our concern with this. Otherwise, Blue Heron Pines is a nice place to get married.

Think you've played the best track in South Jersey??? Think again! Jaworski has turned Blue Heron Pines into a world class facility.

-Pristine conditions
-Fast, true greens
-Great practice area (driving range, chipping green, putting green)

Hole #11, one of the most challenging short Par 3's you will play anywhere in the world.... great test of your short irons

My husband and i got married here and it was amazing. Tara is wonderful and such a nice person. Sara is a soft spoken sweet woman . The day of my wedding i saw a different side of her . She must have magical powers or something because she was in five places at once . if i needed anything she just appeared out of thin air. Shes a take charge type of person in the middle of chaos . she did it all with a smile. I am so happy we had her on our team . The best part was when Ron Jaworski showed up. My husband is a huge eagles fan . We didn't get to talk to him or get a picture with him because the photographer pulled us away . That moment will be lost forever . Everyone at Blue Heron Pines helped make our day a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives.

Well layed out, turf in good condition, some challenging holes. The paths are pretty bumpy so be prepared to get tossed around the cart a bit. All in all, a course I would highly recommend to anyone.

I love this golf course. We played this past weekend and it was raining pretty hard. Needless to say that we were wet but the golf course was very playable, no standing water, no rooster tails on the green. They course drains water very well. The greens are well maintained. Their are some very long par 5s with doglegs, but it does play very fair. There is a par 5 on the back nine with a fairly large sand waste area, one piece of advice...STAY OUT OF THIS WASTE AREA...it will add 2-3 shots to your score on that hole. Driver off the tee, lay up either just over the waste area or just before, and you will have a mid to short iron in to the green for a shot at a birdie, DO NOT GO FOR THIS GREEN IN 2.

The course to play when in the AC area. The service rivals that of any private club. Thank you for treating our foursome SO WELL. From the moment we pulled up to the moment we left....5 stars!

Played on Sunday after booking five tee times the Monday before. We were told that they had aerated a couple of weeks before. Upon arrival we found the practice putting green to be a pockmarked mess. I asked an employee if the greens on the course were similar and he said yes. He had worked there the previous Sunday and told us that is when they had aerated some of the greens. While in the bar after our round, I struck up a conversation with a guy who said he lived on the course and that he had seen them aerating during the week. So, apparently, we had been misled by the guy who took our tee-time reservation. Most of us were from the Delaware County area, so the ride was at least an hour to get there.
While waiting to tee off, the starter informed us that they had slipped in a foursome among our five groups. And they happened to be walking the course on a Sunday around 10am. Despite raising an objection, the starter said there was nothing he could do. Our foursome behind the interlopers waited on every shot.
Course was in poor shape, with very thin, spotty grass on fairways, chunky, choppy rough, uneven bunkers that looked like they had dropped the aerated plug marks in many of them and, of course, greens that were nothing but a bumpy rug.
And to make matters worse, our buddy who booked our tee times found out the next day that his credit card had a charge on it for an additional foursome. Upon calling the course to question why, he was told that one of our group had not paid. Why he got banged for a whole foursome I do not know. They gave him a rash of excrement when he tried to get them to cancel the charge before finally doing so. Our group does not try to sneak on golf courses, so I believe they would have discovered the error (if there really was one) as we teed off had the starter checked our receipts. I was in our fourth group and had asked the starter if he needed to see my receipt and he had said it wasn't necessary. Perhaps they should change that policy.
Suffice it to say, Mr. Jaworski will not be seeing us spending our dough for green fees at his course, nor in the pro shop, halfway-house or bar ever again.

We attended a wedding 9/1/18 at Blue Heron and it was fabulous!!! The staff was wonderful and very attentive to everyone. I ve never been to a wedding with cocktail hour and a dessert room!!! Exquisite!! I was so impressed when one of the servers brought me a deep fried bean/burrito appetizer after they had already stopped serving them. I mentioned that I think I missed those and she found me in the crowd with my little surprise Little things mean a lot. This entire event was beautiful

This honestly gives me anxiety to even write. This place is gorgeous. The food and the dessert were amazing. However, my wedding day was not perfect or near perfect. The maitre d can make or break your day and she broke mine. I still keep thinking its surreal. Majority of the day I had no idea where the maitre d was. I missed a lot of my wedding! I missed my entire cocktail hour. I needed access to golf carts, I needed a lighter for sparklers, I needed a drink and food. There's more than all this. I remember scrambling around looking for her. I remember my now husband going around to guests to try to get a lighter. I remember being yelled at by a golfer when trying to take pictures. I remember waiting in line to get a piece of my cake. I so badly wish this was all a dream. If only my husband and I were tended to throughout the day everything would have been wonderful. I sent 4 letters out to people at Blue Heron about my experience and have not heard anything back. I hope someone will reach out to me.

Perfect wedding day thanks to the Blue Heron, even on one of the hottest days of the year! We knew right away that the Blue Heron was where we wanted to get married. It fit our vision and was very affordable. Tara was so helpful right from the start. She answered all of my emails and questions so quickly and thoroughly. We started to get worried about the almost 100 degree weather, but Tara was very assuring. We moved the ceremony inside and it was still amazing. We highly recommend Blue Heron and the staff!

I attended a friend's wedding and was very displeased. The wedding ceremony was interrupted for 5 mins by a speaker making popping noise. During cocktail hour, they served luke warm borderline cold appetizers. I ordered a steak entree and they didn't even bother to ask how I wanted it prepared. I was so hungry at the end of the night, I wound up ordering out... might be a great place to golf but don't have your wedding here.

Played today behind an outing, waited at every hole. Couldn t finish round because of dark. Never notified of the outing. Played 12 and 13 in the dark. Spoke to the Pro. He gave a prorated refund for $22 to each player. That s a joke. Very disappointed in a Ron Jaworski Golf Club.

Came up for a Labor Day vacation - we had booked the tee time about two weeks earlier. No indication that they were aerating the greens when we booked; they still charged the same rates. Disappointed at paying $105 for a course with poor greens. It's probably about a $65 course with aerated greens. (Edit/Correction: we played Twisted Dunes the next day (Sunday) - a much more interesting course, in much better shape with better greens, for about $68 per player).

Two other comments:

(1) we spent a lot of time repairing divots and ball marks. What is it about golfers at public courses that leads them to believe that leaving the course better than you found it is beneath them?

(2) As there are memberships available here, it looks like they'll let members play in fivesomes or sixsomes (we saw both). No idea what happens if you're behind them...

We live in MD, so this was about a two hour drive. We will come back to NJ to play again, but will never play BHP again. Again, Twisted Dunes was a much better course and a much better value!

Had my daughter's wedding at Blue Heron and must say that we were very pleased with our experience! The venue was fantastic, food was great (got a lot of compliments from our guests), and no complaints about the level of service. Everyone there was very helpful and catered to our needs which made me happy that I had one less thing to stress about while coordinating the wedding. I highly recommend!

Phenomenal atmosphere ! Everything and more than welcoming for my son's wedding. The wait staff were courteous and the food was scrumptious . My only issues were that we had to walk the hilly pathway around ( in heels ) , to enter for the reception and for robe photos with the bridal party we had to walk through the pub and there was no descreet exit . The slow setting sunset was a beautiful backdrop after the rain disappated and the winds died down . The fair grounds made the beautiful photos very special . It was a day I will never be able to forget . Thank you from the heart of the Mother of the Groom .
