Incredibly slow service. Unbelievably noisy. Unfriendly staff.

Tenth time there and the food never disappoints. Tried the muscles for the first time and almost ordered one to go. Can get noisy at times but I consider that part of the fun.

I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.

It was ok like the sides and Appetizer, But my lobster tails were really undercooked, I thought maybe they were suppose to be like that but then the more I ate the more I realize oh god these are super undercooked, like the lobster meat More

This place is Great! BYOB The food is as fresh as fresh can be. Any dish is reasonably decent size. Each plate we had was amazingly good. I can say hat this is by far the best seafood I have had in the entire. If you like seafood this is the place to go. The place is small so reservations are a good thing because while some were waiting they sat us immediately because we had reservations, the restaurant was psked. Being that the place is small it gets a little loud in there but not the point where it annoying just have to speak a little louder to your party. The price is expensive but that was expected going in. You are definitely paying for quality as everything is super fresh and the food is amazingly good. I can't comment on how good the food really was until you try it yourself. From apps down to desert. But again expensive but worth it. The reason why I have this place four stars instead of 5 was do the turn over rate was way to fast. While the server was great and really nice each course came within 5 to 6 minutes of each other. They don't rush you out but we were done with apps dinner and dessert within 30 minutes. For me that us too fast. I like to sit and enjoy my food especially if it is really as good as it was We were NOT rushed it is just everything came out too fast. All in all I highly recommend this place because with the food you will no be disappointed I can almost guarantee it.

I'm shocked and appalled that this restaurant expects the community to support them and frequent their restaurant and as a matter of policy does nothing to give back. As consumers you have a choice where you spend your money so choose not to spend it here. I am outraged and they have lost my business forever!

This unassuming restaurant BLOW both of our minds the food was excellent the service was the same. Coming from Ocean City MD it's hard to find good seafood but Blue water is worth a visit.

Great food and service. Very fresh seafood options and generous portions. Only reason for the 4 stars is because they kept their front door open and a few flys had gotten in and and kept swarming by our food. Very annoying when trying to enjoy dinner.

Consistency is the hallmark of any successful business and that is what sets Blue Water apart from everyone else. The staff is young, energetic, very pleasant and totally professional in their team approach in assuring you of a satisfactory dining experience. We have dined here numerous times and the quality of the seafood is always top notch. Appetizer portions are generous, almost a meal by themselves and your entree is assured to be fresh and delicious. Don t let the exterior fool you. It was a residential house years ago and has a dining room of about 24 tables and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining. Enjoy!

Excellent quality fresh seafood seasoned and cooked to perfection! Chef has been there for 38 years and his experience shows. Calamari appetizer perfectly tender and so delicious. Mediterranean Bronzini was cooked beautifully with a wonderful grilled char. Cioppino had an amazing plum tomato broth with a generous helping of whole garlic cloves for an outstanding depth of flavor. Could not have asked for better food or service. I only wish I had the option to give it more stars!

Food is good, I can't take that away from them. Unfortunately if you go on a Friday night or Saturday you will not be able to hear the person seating next to you. Restaurant is small and gets very loud. Terrible acoustics. When I complained to the manager, and politely asked him if he could ask a VERY loud party of 6 to tune it down he refused...he said if he did he would get bad reviews from them on social media. Guess what? Now they get bad reviews from the quiet people!!! I can't go back until they figure out the noise control situation.

Food was delicious and service was great, however, the noise level was far too extreme. It was impossible to have an at table conversation without literally shouting and difficult to not only order but also to hear what the server was saying to you. Absolutely not conducive for a pleasant dining experience. Also did not like the close proximity of tables to each other as it made it seem as if you were table sharing with strangers.

The sea bass is as smooth and soft as butter and the scallops we're fresh and firm. It was a dish called Ciobanni which is sea bass, scallops, clams, muscles, and shrimp in a slightly spice tomato sauce over a bed of a very nice basmati rice

Good food. Nice service staff. It is a BYO. A little expensive but worth the cost.

Since this restaurant had high rating we decided to stop in to try. Despite it being a little cramp we didn t mind. We opted to sit outside. However once we sat down after 5mins two other couples were seated. And served drinks even though the waiters saw us first. We left because that s unacceptable you clearly saw that we were seated first why would you serve others before us. It s okay we don t mind taking our money elsewhere.

Good food, reasonably priced, servers make you comfortable. Would deffinettly recommend

First of all I am going to start with the fact that I am a sous chef with 27 years experience. I want to say great job from the front of the house to the back. The service was exceptional and the food was even better. By far the best I have experienced since I have been in nj. I am from Charleston sc and we are not the seafood capital but I was a chef on Hilton head island for 15 years and I would place your food quality and selection among the best I have had in a while. Thank you for a great dining experience and can't wait to see you again. I have only one complaint. I wanted more clams casino with my broiler plate. Lol just kidding it was very good

I would come here to celebrate birthdays and other milestone days, but tonight I celebrated the last time coming to this place! Basically I got penalized for ordering appetizers at the table because it made our dinners come out an hour later! People who came in after us received their dinners well before us because they did not order appetizers. I asked to speak with a manager...Needless to say, no manager came out to speak to us! YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, I DON'T CARE TO COME BACK! GOOD LUCK RUNNING YOUR BUSINESS AT A TIME YOU NEED YOUR CUSTOMERS THE MOST! I wonder if you actually spoke to the other customers who walked out who you served a cold steak too and said they are going to McDonald's down the block! There should be a negative star rating here because -5 stars would be generous!

Food and service were great. Very loud though which spoiled the experience. Interior surfaces should be softened with acoustic ceiling tiles and floor should be carpeted. Valet shoud not tamper with settings in the car either.

My favorite local seafood place. I love the food and the atmosphere is lovely. In the summer you're able to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. The food is delicious! I definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves seafood.

My husband and I went here for dinner on a busy Saturday night. They accomodated us although we didn't have a reservation which we really appreciated.The wait staff was attentive and I really enjoyed the food.
The crispy goat cheese salad was amazing and the Chilean sea bass with mango was also a winner! My husband judges a restaurant by their calamari and he really enjoyed theirs. The only slip up was his entree. He ordered fried oysters and they brought him fried clams. When he pointed out the error they corrected it no questions asked. However, I was done eating for awhile before they brought his replacement entree, which was understandable, but no offer was made to discount the bill or offer a free dessert.
The diningroom is very small so it gets loud when they are full, which they were. I will definitely return to Blue Water but at a less busy time.

The food here is amazing! If possible I'd eat here everyday. You must try the lobster bisque soup. Another favorite is the shrimp parmigiana and lobster ravioli. Its BYOB so dont forget your favorite bottle of wine. Just make sure you go when you dont have something planned afterwards. They are very slow. I believe that's why the food is so good and fresh. Other than the long wait, this place is perfect. Small cute and cozy.

I haven't been there in many years but I will be frequently going from now on. The restaurant's interior has been redesigned and it looks great. They have a great new menu. The food and service is excellent.

Friendly services. Food was excellent with wonderful presentation and large portions Recommend for a date night. It's a little on the loud side but shouldn't be missed.

A real find! Best Chapino I have had in a very long time. Oysters opened and served just right. Home made Lemon Lava cake excellent. Friendly and professional.

Apppetizers were very good, main course Chilean sea bass was not bad, but not really good , it tasted like any regular fish, a little disappointed.
They offered free dessert which was the right thing to do. But still!!!!

Food was great. Valet was a joke. This was our first time here and will be out last juat because the valet system is a joke. Make a bigger parking lot so we can securely park our own cars.

Lovely, a bit noisy restaurant. Delicious assortment of always fresh Seafood menu. I'll definitely come back for more.

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday in November. It was absolutely delightful! Intimate atmosphere, exceptional service, and the most amazing seafood I've ever had. The oysters were huge! I loved them. Can't wait to go back! I loved this restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Would have given a 3.5 if there was half stars. Food was good, some better than others, and oysters were all tasteless. A little high on price, but not too bad.
Summary = if I compare this 3.5 to Bonefish - Bonefish would receive under a 1!

Such great dishes and seafood selections. The ambience is so cozy, alittle tight yet sweet. The place deserves a bigger place and I feel like they would be swamped with more business. Love it here. It's alittle pricey but very worth it!

Food no complaints. But the owner is such a nasty human being. He got no respect for himself and age. I was there the other day and he kicked one of his employees out the restaurant bc of toothpick. Poor customer service. Poor management and high prices. I would recommend it if you want to go embarrass yourself front of the community

You enter by the kitchen ..which was over run with trash and reaked of bad shrimp. It must be the locals that have this place rated so high. I'm sure they're easy to please. Best of luck!

Extremely small dining room and VERY loud ...Recently changed owners and definitely noticed s difference in my usual dish ..seafood fra dialbo. Still a good place to eat especially since it's a byob.

5 stars and beyond across the board. This place is a hidden gem with top notch seafood and more! To start, the Shrimp cocktail was incredible, (colossal shrimp) the Tuna Tartar was fantastic and my entree, the seafood Fra Diablo was beyond delicious. All the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. I was waited on by Nick and Anthony in which the service was also top notch and very professional. I call this a hidden gem for your next dining experience. My go to spot!!!!

This is definitely your romantic dinner type of place. Requires booking for most weekend evenings. The Seafood is great, I recommend the swordfish.

Only downside is because the place is small it gets loud with large parties. I wish they would put some decorations on the wall that would also dampen the sound.

Small and cozy place. We went on Friday around 2 pm and it was not crowded. I can imagine when place is full must be quite vibrant. Food is fresh and great taste. I give 4 stars because I think the place needs some updates. It feels a bit dated, for example, the table we were at had visible cracks and should be replaced.

I celebrated my PhD earlier this evening in this gorgeous place. Well we enjoyed a pleasant evening and the place was unquestionably one of the reasons for this fruitful meeting. The waiters collaborated in a graceful way, the food was yummy and my buddies were very overjoyed. We shall absolutely visit again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

I love the calamari here so much that I had it as my main dish. The Asian giger sauce it comes in is to die for. My family and I keep coming back here for a reason.

Everything we have gotten here, the 15 or so times we've been here, is amazing .. service is great and food is excellent. Perfectly seasoned and great, albeit huge, portions. Can't help but clean my plate, though! No complaints, no improvement needed. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing!! As other people have said the dinning room is a little noisy and hard at times to have a conversation. The food made up from everything!! It was cooked perfectly and the dishes were original! Definitely returning!

One of the best fish restraunts in NJ. They get their fish daily and is high quality. The tuna is amazing.

Best seafood anywhere. Manhattan quality steak and top of the line seafood. I come at least once a week and I never had a bad meal. The staff is outstanding and the owner buys only the best quality fish and meat! Simply put it is outstanding! Trust me you wont be disappointed

OMG! THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! It's a very small setting so reservations are recommended. The waiter, Peter was delightful as can be. There was 3 of us in my party and he interacted with all of us. Our bill was like $215 but it was worth it. My boyfriend thought the King crablegs were overpriced(1lb=$50) in comparing it to a place we went to in the south, but the dishes were more than enough. I recommend the alaskan salmon with asparagus, and crusted potatoes...it was drizzled with horeseradish sauce and dijon mustard......

As I type this review I am eating my left over Lobster Mac N Cheese AMAZING. They have Ruth Chris Lobster Mac beat!!!! Last night was my second time going and it was great, just like the first time. Fresh, AMAZING, great tasting food. I just LOVE the Lobster Tails. The staff is AWESOME and I m looking forward to going back tonight LOL.
