I cannot say enough good stuff about these folks. I've taken a couple of birds that appeared to be injured and they have never let me down. Always kind and welcoming when you walk in. It's a non-profit, but they certainly have expenses, so please always make a donation if you take in a feathered friend for rehab. I'm not loaded, but always donate $20 cash, but noticed they do take credit cards, too. So no excuse. Donate if you are able to.

I was referredto Rogers wildlife center because I found a baby bird on my backyard that fell from his nest and they didn't hesitate in helping me out. They immediately tell you to bring the bird to them and all they ask is a donation, what you can help with is fine, definitely will keep supporting them after finding out the amazing labor they do!

They were very very rude . I drove an hour to gives donations and drop off a baby bird egg we found and you would have thought I interrupted their family dinner. Once someone took the bird egg from me, I was barked at you know you could leave a donation another lady said she brought us some I look on their website for needed items and brought several. She reposted with oh and snatched the box from her coworker. Truly disgusting. If your want to promote conservation stop being a dick!

Wonderful place! Took in the baby bird we found, and was great fun for our kids to walk around and see all the many birds they have from sparrows to bald eagles and owls! Such a great place.

These people are incredible. They will take in whatever bird has been hurt and treat it tenderly and respectfully as one of God's creatures. So very impressed with the volunteers compassion. Truly a remarkable place. Definitely recommend going and if you have any compassion at all donate to these hard working people who are truly making a strong and positive impact in our world.

This place is amazing! I have lived in DeSoto for over 40 years and I never knew they existed until recently when my cats injured some baby blue jays. I called the Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation and they unhesitatingly said they could take the birds. I brought them to them and I couldn't believe my eyes! I took a small tour of the grounds after getting the little babies squared away and one of their ravens talked to me as I was walking by! I really hope people can help this place because it is wonderful and so needed!

Today I dropped off an adult male Barred Owl I kept overnight and was calling 'Bonkers' because he slammed into a tower while being chased by Hawks and fell 30' to the ground.

I found Rogers' on Google and, thankfully, their website and helpful staff instructed us on what to do for him overnight. He was assessed and treated immediately upon arrival this morning. Nothing broken, but he had a thorn in his claw that was removed, and then was given a steroid shot for any brain or spinal cord swelling. He's going to recover and be released, they said!

I gave a donation and took a tour and was amazed by the quantity and variety of birds there. I highly suggest contributing, whether financially, through their Amazon wishlist, or in volunteer time if you're able to. These people are so obviously in it for the love of birds, and they also do educational programs.

So nice to have a place that takes injured and orphaned birds. I had 4 baby birds hitch a ride on our trailer from colorado to tx. I found them in the nest once we got to Texas. Amazing they made the trip and So happy to be able to bring them here to be taken care of. They survive on donations. Gave what I could wish I could have given more but Awesome place!

I was very impressed with Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation. The staff was very knowledgeable and caring. My son came upon some kids playing with this poor little thing. He brought it home but we weren't sure what to do. I have no doubt these people know what to do and do a great job!

I took a baby bird that was hanging out at my table in Mudsmith. The bird was very thirsty and hungry and it seems to have no place to go. The guys at the bar gave me a box and i was able to take it here.
There I learned this is a non profit, run by volunteers that rely on small donations from people. They do such a wonderful and necessary work.
If you are into birds this is a great place to visit.
Thank you Rogers Wildlife Rehabilitation!!

Never in my life have I ever visited a 501c3 organ...

Never in my life have I ever visited a 501c3 organization for animals so deserving of not only non profit status, but also every penny anyone could possibly afford to donate. It was so unbelievably evident that there is nothing but passion, commitment, and love of the cause by all involved. The facility was packed with rescues, and yet everything was clean as a whistle, and all the animals were clearly well cared for. They have nothing to hide at this sanctuary. You canwlk the entire grounds 7 days a week. They will even be caring for, and treating animals with loving kindness, as they multitask to answer phone calls, assist walk ins, and drop offs. They were so nice both on the phone, and then in petson. They do not turn animals in need away. I am serious when I say, it's a very special place, and very clear that ALL of their funding goes to provide quality care for the animals. They also are involved in educational visits to schools with some of the animals, but only the ones who seem to enjoy it. :-) It just seemed, even with the large amount of wildlife living there, the staff knew, and cared for each and every one of them. It truly is a first for me to be so utterly impressed with every aspect of my visit. I was saddened to discover the very small amount of money from public donations they work with to keep such an amazing sanctuary so well kept. They do not receive government funding of any kind, its strictly public donations. It's not bells and whistles, because the money is not used for aesthetics to satisfy the public, which I actually appreciated, because it was so apparent that every cent goes into the comfort of their animal residence, and cleanliness of the facility. I just don't know how they pull it off, but I have no doubt it's got to be a constant concern for Kathy, and staff who are so committed to all of their rescues. I thought the facility, the grounds were perfectly beautiful exactly the way they were. I was just astounded at the cleanliness, the knowledge, the kindness, concern by staff, condition, and treatment of all the animals we saw during our visit.

I am going to support this amazing sanctuary, and hope anyone who can afford even the smallest of donations would do the same. I'm just grateful that by chance we gave them a call when we rescued an abandoned duck. I have found someplace that I know when I give, every penny is going directly to the cause, not being misappropriated by anyone, and/or staffed by uninterested lazy folks that do not do their jobs.

It was such a joy to visit such a special kind of place. I only wish I could give more.

Rogers Wildlife Rehabilition is by far one of the best rehabs in Texas. Ms Rogers is an amazing person who has dedicated her life to savings injured birds that are in need. This is a 24/7 Job and these birds rely on her help, I cannot find a better cause than Rogers Wildlife Rehab, these people are simply amazing and they have my full support.

I found an injured bird by the porch a couple of days ago, part of the shoulder was badly bruised. I also have three cats and since they knew about the bird, they had been looking, so I needed to find bird rescue for the poor guy. I made lots of calls, got transferred and refereed and many other shelter do not take birds. This place probably is the only one which takes birds. They have done an amazing work! It's very big place and lots of birds live there. They have taken really good care of various birds, from tiny one in thumb size to giant ones as half a person size, some in cage and others quietly walk around or fly over. To my surprise, all birds have smooth well fed feather, not a single exception, they definitely have got taken good care of. I donated to a few animal shelters by mail but I never visit one, I hope all shelters can work like them. Great work!!
