My overall stay on this visit was horrible. I spoke with (management)Latoya and she even came to my room with empty promises to accommodate me and my family. Maintenance came to replace non-working refrigerator with a roach infested and feces dropping all in the inside. A/C issue of not cooling the room was never corrected. Both the sink and tub back up with the flow of water. For example, by the time my shower was over the water was mid-way legs. Mold and mildew in the shower, around the fixings and sink. The room was infested with baby roaches. Please also be advised all the complaints above are can and will be accompanied by pictures. As this experience is going VIRAL!!!
FYI: By the way, Latoya it's very disappointing and disgraceful for you to think that because, I use Groupon and receive a discounted rate that the quality of my room and the quality of customer service was merely non-existent and that in itself was Priceless in the worst way.

(NO NEWLY RENOVATED ROOMS FOR DISCOUNTED PRICES). I'M LIVID WITH THE SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT 90% OF THE ROOMS ARE OUT-OF-DATE AND IN HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS!!!!

Good hotel for the price. Not the cleanest bathrooms in the rooms. But the pool is nice, the yard area is sooo cute with big animal statues, flowers, green grass, trees. It is very well kept. My kids loved it. The staff tried to be accommodating to my husband who's in a wheelchair and were offering to upgrade our room for free to have a handicap shower. That would have not worked for us because we needed a room right by our family because our kids were possibly sleeping in the grandparents room. The guy would NOT LET IT GO and kept saying 'What, I'm trying to get it for you for free!' and was floored we weren't taking him up on his generous offer. He bugged us about it our ENTIRE stay, even the next day.

The free shuttle was a huge plus for getting most of our group to and from the cruise port and the airport. But they don't have a wheelchair shuttle. My husband and I had to get a wheelchair taxi. The hotel gave us $20 to compensate some taxi cost.
Don't let them call a taxi for you. They told us 30-40 minutes, when we called the taxi ourselves an hour and a half later, there was no assigned taxi for us!! We waited for hours to finally get one. Luckily we had a late flight.

The grill and bar in the hotel is really good. Their ADA pool chair lift didn't work which was a bummer, but we got my husband in the pool anyway.

Our stay was fine but the charges on my credit car...

Our stay was fine but the charges on my credit card were NOT!!! I was charged for 2 nights and only stayed one. The guest relations woman was very difficult to deal with and only wanted to refund 1/2 of the second charge on my credit card. I spoke with Choice hotels and they confirmed I should have only been charged for 1 night. I changed my reservation the night before from a room with a King bed to a room with 2 queen beds. The hotel said I cancelled I DID NOT CANCEL!!

This was a really nice place to stay before we went on a cruise. The shuttle service was on time we did not have to wait very long and we were dropped off at the ship. Our hotel room was very clean I would stay here again

Never again the worst motel I have ever been. Mean staff nasty rooms broken microwave and mini refrigerator , so mush noise , just go somewhere else. the owner contacted me and he tried to convince me that I stayed in another hotel but it was his hotel. Sorry mr. Owner Truth Hurts need clean your place

Walls in my room were cracked and looked like they were plastered and painted by kindergarteners. No stopper for the bathtub, didn't bother taking a shower as the water was lukewarm. And there were dryer sheets in the a/c as some kind of cheap air freshener. I have allergies, and the smell really bothered me. Oh and outside the laundry room was a big bin full of bedsheets soaking in detergent

BUT I will say that the overall grounds are very nice, the shuttle to and from the cruise port was very timely and helpful, a nicely stocked store and good food at the restaurant. And the lady who checked me in (I think her name was Kara) was friendly. Also very convenient to the airport

This was a decent stop for the night. We woke up and headed to the cruise port. The hotel and a restaurant attached with pretty good food. The staff everywhere was great. The hotel when last minute shopping for drinks, food , random items. Continental breakfast was average. If you had a shuttle, there was a guy who was running all the shuttles and what cruise you were on and was really organized. Would come back again

Woke up to a bug /roach crawling on pillow and bed where i slept w/ my nine month old. Spoke w/ rachel from guest relations who did absolutely nothing and tried to say the bug was visiting the hotel with me. Yet, a friend of mine also saw one in her room. 2 hrs later i noticed a rash on my nine month old back and called her twice w/ no response or call back which i find ridiculous.

This hotel is amazing! We booked a day room after our cruise as our flight was not until 9PM. Thing is we forgot to book one and as we walked off the ship I searched and called Rodeway. Benny was amazing and told us to come right on over. And they even provided a complimentary shuttle from the cruise port and then to the airport! The hotel is very clean, it even smells clean when you walk in the lobby. Check in was a breeze. Diamond was very friendly and courteous. Our room was fully equipped, clean and comfortable. We spent the day at the pool relaxing until we had to catch our flight! Thank you Rodeway, I'll definitely be recommending you!!

Bed was hard with some type of plastic covering under the sheet. Crinkled every time I moved. Pilows were like rocks
Light outside room on all night with poor curtain coverage. Night clerk did not tell us what was needed for the long term parking we paid for. Found out in the morning about the paperwork.

The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and kind, especially Michael Thelmas. I picked this hotel because it was close to the hospital where I was having surgery. I stayed the first 2 nights there and everything was fine. After my surgery I checked back in for a 14 night stay. That was a big MISTAKE! Keep in mind that I just had surgery so all I wanted to do was rest. The first night of 14 I noticed 2 baby roaches on the nightstand! I called the front desk and my room was changed. On the 8th night in my new room there were more roaches only this time they were larger in size. My room was changed again! If I did not have fresh surgical wounds I would have found somewhere else to stay. My flight wasn't until 8pm and check out is at 11am. I asked if I could stay in the new roach free room until 6. I was offered 3pm instead and if I wanted to stay until 6 it was a fee! After being moved from room to room because of the roach infestation and just having had a serious surgery, the manager said that was all he could offer me. If you choose to stay here make sure you keep your luggage closed up because you definitely don't want to bring any extra passengers home!

Great place the manager was great at helping me with my reservation
After a long drive I upgraded to a jacuzzi room
And went to the bar for for a drink.

The room was very nice and clean. Big gift shop in lobby. They were very nice in the front.

My family and I stayed overnight here in May 2014....

My family and I stayed overnight here in May 2014. We thought it was clean and adequate for a night before a cruise. Our room had a smokey smell, but that s what happens when crappy people disobey the rules. The front reception staff was very friendly and handled the large cruise groups well. I d stay here again if it is priced competitively.

If you re the kind of person who will judge a place by the scratches in the peephole, do look elsewhere.

Room was large and clean. Grounds were beautiful. Nice gift shop. Good breakfast with very helpful staff. Front desk people were excellent. Very thorough. We stayed the night before our cruise and took the shuttle to the dock. Short drive. Parked car at Rodeway for less than what we would pay at dock.

This hotel is convenient located from the airport (around 15 minutes drive) and does have a free shuttle, which makes the trip once an hour. The rooms are what one would expect of an affordable hotel. There's a sports bar next door, with friendly staff and food that's ok but not particularly noteworthy.

I got in at 1:45 am and there was only two people ...

I got in at 1:45 am and there was only two people in front of me. It took the lady 45 min to check these people out. She was very slow. Once she got to me, she acted annoyed and asked for a card and ID. She didn't even say what she needed my card for (my room was prepaid). She gave me a map and told me to turn right and go straight and my room is on the right. Once I followed my directions I went to look for an elevator (which was nowhere in sight) now aggravated, I asked two guests where one was and they didn't know. I had to pull all of my luggage back to the lobby where she was to ask for better directions. I had a total of two bags and one was 50lbs and I was not about to pull them upstairs. The lady told me she doesn't know if there was elevators because she never seen the property and that if there wasn't any elevators that she couldn't help me with my bags. I also asked about the shuttle service and she said to make my rsvp in the morning. She didn't even tell me that my room was upstairs and there was only one elevator. When I got to the counter this morning, @8:57, I learned that the next bus was leaving @9 so I had to choose to eat breakfast and miss my flight or not eat breakfast. Communication sucks and they have Bad customer service!

Front desk staff was rude. Continuously used foul language. Customer service was horrible. Room basic. Food very generic. The gift shop was good & so were the employees. The "Capt" in the breakfast area was great. The staff who run the shuttle service was great. Friendly helpful and customer orientated. The owner feels that there is no need for customer service.

The rooms are OK, but as a stay and park be aware that shuttles are only 1x per hour and if you have an early morning flight, like I did, they will charge you extra. And upon landing, the wait is 45 minutes. I had to pay a separate Uber to and from because of this.

My experience in the bar "84" a Philadelphia Eagles establishment being a true Atlanta Falcons fan still yet I had a wonderful time.
The staff as well as the food wings and cheesesteak" were both absolutely amazing!!!!!!! 5 stars

Checked in and left after being in the room for 10...

Checked in and left after being in the room for 10 minutes or so because it smelled awful! We were traveling with a group of families on a travel softball team. The lobby was clean but looked like a liquor store- shelves of liquor etc for sale. The room looked like a guy's dorm room. Shower was updated but dirty. Our beds appeared clean but the families with us had everything from blood stains on sheets, roaches and hairs under the sheets. The bar next door is obviously a local hangout. Shady looking people wandering around and two guys even stared fighting by the lobby. Two workers walked back in from a break reeking of weed. The whole hotel smelled like a mixture of smoke, weed, and mold. After being there for 5 min my eyes were burning and throat getting scratchy from the smell. It is definitely not a family hotel!!

Your geeral manager Izzy Fintz requires some training in customer service. He is very rude and lacks common decency. When a customer approaches you are supposed to apologize and see what you can do better to improve your service. We waited 1hr 15 minutes for a shuttle and he wants to make us look bad. Izzy Fintz you seriously need to reevaluate your life choices. This job is not for you. A psychiatric evaluation might be in need to. I have never been spoken to like that in my entire life and you just kept trying to get your insults in. Learn when to be quiet and go away. Never ever will we use Roadway Inn or any services they have. No need to respond to this. I will not read it.

Staff was horrible. The lady that checked me in was on her phone video chatting with her friend as she helped me. Giving much nore attention to her friend than me. Could hardly understand most the people when asking questions. The tall guy helped us alot but he was the only helpful one.
The rooms had tile floor and felt very cramped. The bathroom doors were a joke and gave you no privacy.
The parking was awful. No room in the back and had to continuely change parking spots through out the stay because signs said vehicles parked here over night will be towed. There was a sign like that on every parking spot.
Walls are paper thin and could hear conversations from the front desk in my room behind closed doors.
But if you are looking for a cheap place to come and stay in fort Lauderdale you wont get a cheaper place here. The only reason it has two stars is because the bar serves great food and is pristine customer service. This could be a great place if they took a little pride in running their business.

Absolutely horrible! When we booked our trip it was completely misleading!!! They charged us more once we got here and lied about the beds they blamed it on third party but we sure had it already booked so how does that make any sense? After our cruise we were supposed to be picked up by rodeway and taken straight to airport without being charged again because it was included in our package. Well the hotel/driver acted like that s a lie and demanded $10 a person extra. We have 10 people so that s $100. He cut it to $5 a person because he could tell we were livid! Still $50 extra on top of everything when it s supposed to be free shuttle because it was included in our package!!!??? Rodeway Inn is complete scan artist company/people!! Absolutely never again!!

I liked that they offered shuttles to and from the...

I liked that they offered shuttles to and from the airport as well as the cruise terminal. They have a decent selection for their complementary continental breakfast. The only downside is that our shower was in the middle of the room. If your a couple this isn't bad, but when you have people coming with you it's not so great. Overall, I had a wonderful time here.
Also, there is a bar and grill attached to the hotel which is very convenient.

UPDATE 8/15/17: As to be expected, a very very lame response from a hotel staff member. Not taking any type of responsibility or trying to follow up on the call I left Rachel that I was promised she would return, which she didn't. 100%, I would choose another location other than this Hotel. It's all about them and not the hotel guest. My rating has now went from a 3 to 1 star!

ORIGINAL POST: Where do I start? Carefully consider your stay here. They advertise heavily "Day Stay," so you would think they understand people that just came in from a red-eye flight and not place you in a room that has construction right above you.

We called from the airport at 6 in the morning needing a room. They picked us up and brought us to the hotel. We originally asked to be shuttled back to the airport at 2 pm. While we were having breakfast, we decided to change the pick up time to 1 pm. The young lady at the front desk was in the restaurant. We told her of the time change. She said she would change it for us.

We get into our room, being extremely exhausted and wanted nothing but sleep. Two hours later, we were woken by pounding above our room. It turns out; they placed us in a room where they were remodeling rooms above us. We called the front desk, their only solution was to move us. Bear in mind, we would have to get dressed and repack to move to another room. In my investigation, they were remodeling four rooms side by side. They could have simply told them to not make any noise in the room above us. Instead of moving, we decided to put up with it. I feel the $94 we spent on the room was wasted.

Then it came time to go back to the airport. We started waiting for the shuttle at 12:40. At 1:06, we asked the front desk why the shuttle hasn't shown up. The young lady was dismayed and said your shuttle is at 2. I reminded her that we changed it at breakfast. She said that she dealt with so many people that she couldn't remember. Then it gets to be around 1:20. My wife asks why the shuttle hasn't shown up, They told her that she must have missed it. She told them that she had been waiting since 12:40. They said we needed to continue waiting. About 1:25, a man with EZHospitality walks in and looks at us, then says, "Are you guys waiting for a shuttle?" We said, yes. He looked at his schedule and said that the hotel never scheduled our pick up. I told him that we were originally scheduled for 2. He said we were not even on that schedule. He then got on his phone and told his driver to get over to the hotel immediately. If it wasn't for him, we would have missed our flight.

While on the phone to the front-desk lady when booking my room, she said that she was going to charge my credit right now because she was leaving work. I got an email of the charge immediately for the price that we agreed upon plus taxes. While waiting for the shuttle to go back to the airport, I got another email with another charge on my credit card. So, I now have two charges on my credit card. The manager on duty, said that it was a deposit that was charged to my credit card, and it will be returned to me. BUT why would they charge a deposit after I already checked out?

Before leaving, I voiced my complaints regarding being placed in a room where there was construction. They said that they didn't handle complaints, and I needed to call Rachel. I called the number and left a voicemail; she has never called back. I even verified the phone number with the front desk. Again, be very cautious!

Everybody seem to be very friendly and fun our rooms clean food is good here but we Face the parking lot and it was noisy noisy noisy people next door were noisy parking lots noisy with all the construction trucks in the morning not central air so it's noisy first stop for night it was good people were great

It was nice and clean and the bathrooms look like they have recently been remodeled. The WiFi was probably the best I've had in a while in a hotel (strength wise). Their only downfall was I saw a cockroach I'm the morning. I don't know if they're in all rooms. I also don't know how common it is to have them here I this part of town. But just FYI.

We had a great experiences here!
Clean room, comfy bed, hot shower, fridge, microwave, ironing tools, adequate Wifi and basic breakfast, beside staying overnight, we also park our car for 15 days and found everything intact and safe.

Most of their staff are friendly, in fact: the staff handling our check-in help us find the best deal for their park and fly - cruise packages!

Small minus point, I felt a bit pushed out during check-out [the girl staff just rushing me out] while there is NO ONE queuing after me, "too bad" as I wanna ask her the possibility of extending our stay since we would like to service [tune up] our car at the car repair next door before continuing our road trip to Mexico which turn out we need to spend one more night at Ft. Lauderdale. & I choose instead to book at their neighbour motel for this extra night.

Pathetic excuse for a motel. We paid a healthy price for the room and not only was it filthy, there was a significant amount of mold in the shower. They "fixed" it while we went to dinner. They simply put fresh caulking over the mold. Yuk!!

If you're alright with waiting in line, it's a good deal. You wait in a long line to register. You have to wait until 2 to get you room key. We called 4 times and waited almost 2 hours to get picked up at the Cruise terminal. They told us that the shuttles won't take us from the Cruise terminal to the airport, yet we were bumped from a shuttle because they were going to the airport. Other than that, it was OK.

Terrible shuttle service . I used the airport parking here and the shuttle is not convenient at all. I waited 25 min and then had to call an Uber. On the way back, I waited at the airport for about 35 min. When I called to let them know I was ready, she told me the driver was in route. 35 min later and I ended up have to call an Uber. Such a waste of time and money.

I wouldn't give this place even one star. We waited over 90 mins for a shuttle to pick us up in Port Everglades, just three miles from the hotel. We called the hotel five times to ask for updates and each time they claimed the shuttle was 10 minutes away. Their system also had us listed as two different families, one going and one coming back. Worst place ever, avoid at all costs. Just park at the terminal and save yourself the headache.
