Was here for a conference and it was a nice place. Big open space and it was pretty comfortable.
A place we enjoy for great food, and good music. Service is always cheerful and prompt, and we love the atmosphere.
Food was great. Portions were small.
Prices were fair.
Good good good but 8 dollars for a can of beer !!! Not good
Good go-to for business lunches but after hours music events are a usually over 50 crowd.
Rockwoods and their staff are exceptional! My family and I have had the pleasure of dining here on several occasions, and the food and service is always phenomenal. Thank you!
Best old fashioned I've ever had, amazing prime rib and an overall great experience. Our server was Jacklyn, she was fantastic. I highly recommend this establishment for any event.
Great food, prompt and friendly service, tasteful decor. The patio is spacious, and welcoming.
We had our wedding reception at Rockwoods Banquet Center. Katie (Wedding Coordinator) went above and beyond all of our expectations to make our wedding day perfect. We highly recommend Rockwoods to anyone looking for a wedding venue, graduation or any catering needs. We're still having guests tell us how beautiful everything was. You will not be disappointed!!!!
Awesome food & friendly staff! Love the atmosphere & decor as well.
Never been here before but the smell of the natural BBQ was getting to the hotel across the parking lot and OMG! So glad I ordered the brisket. Comes with several sauces (none of which are necessary) but the red eye was my fav. Definitely be back to try the rest of their amazing menu.
Service was ok. It was amazing our waitress could remember our food order without writing it done but she never refilled our drinks and didn't seem to be around. (She might of had tables in another area.) The food: The Prime rib sandwich my son said was excellent very good with the aus jus. The cheese burger my daughter had she loved. The rotisserie chicken seemed decent but the wife loved the mashed potatoes. I tried a bbq rid they were pretty good kind of a sweet chipotle sauce. I had the grilled tuna sandwich. IT WAS HORRIBLE, OVER COOKED, DRY AND FLAVORLESS ONLY THING THAT WOULD MAKE THIS SANDWICH BETTER IS TO TAKE IT OFF THE MENU. So between that sandwich, ok service and cost I give them a 3.
Food and drinks are absolutely phenomenal as is the cost. If you want excellent and not worried about cost, it's hard to beat.
$23.95 Lobster Mac was tasteless. Broasted chicken was dry. Over priced and food was below average.
I have had the opportunity to host dozens of meeting at Rockwoods. Katie and her team have always provided stellar customer service, dedication to the task at hand, and immediate trouble resolution. Their top notch customer care makes them My Favorite place to bring people together! Thanks to Rockwood for always making me look good!
I was at Rockwoods Saturday night for a birthday party with about 30 people the place was packed Shane Michaels playing everything was great but how does an establishment like that run out of toilet paper. It was not the first time this has happened. If Target store can keep there bathromms stock then so should Rockwoods. They need to spend sometime figuring this out. When you spend $75.00 out for the night I just thought that TP comes with. If not say bring your own TP.
Worst restaurant ever. Dirty, rotten wait staff, horrible managers. This restaurant should not even be in business. Worst experience and food I have had in 15 years. If they are this bad out with customers I bet their kitchen is disgusting. I would never eat here again ever.
Cold food then the took it back and heated it up, I'm guessing the microwave. Gross.
Good food, friendly staff, prices are a bit higher but it feels a bit more upscale, but you can still come dressed casually.
Awesome staff , great breakfast buffet. Little on the pricey side, but worth the extra couple of bucks
Amazing food. Great bands. Favorite Wednesday hangout on the bike.
We attended a concert here last Saturday. We were in the VIP section and had access to a fantastic bartender named Ashley!! She said she only helps out for catering and big events but we think she would be a phenomonal bartender and waitress! Thank you so much for making our vip experience a true VIP experience! Kudos to Ashley!!
This place is going downhill. I moved to the area about 18 months ago. This place has steadily gone downhill. Food and service was great b when we first started going, both are slipping. The last visit was the straw that broke the camels back. We walk in the host ignores us as we are standing at the host stand for a few minutes. She does apologize when she realizes there are people standing there. She tells us there is a wait if 10-15 minutes. Not a surprise on a Saturday night. She takes our Nena and tells us to b have a seat. Next group walks in and is seated, then another. At this point I figure they had reservations. Now been about 20 minutes. Manager comes up and starts helping the hostess at this point. Another group comes in and is seated. I ask the manager if we b are on the list at point and he says. Yes, but they forgot to put you on the list originally. Oh.... No one said anything to us. The manager says sorry they are really new. Okay but your the manager maybe you would want to say something to the customers that were forgotten? We get our table at the 35 minute mark. We're seated, it takes about 10 minutes to get our drink orders taken. We order our food. I order the chicken and dumplings and my wife the chicken carbonara. When we get our food more disappointment. The carbonara sauce is a broken oily mess. The chicken and dumplings was the real disappointment. The sauce was crazy thick the vegetables were undercooked, the chicken was overcooked stringy and dry. You normally could make up for that with the sauce but it was so thick that it was almost inedible. The dumplings were pan fried crispy just set on top of the dish. The dumplings had good flavor but we're also super dense and doughy. I would not suggest this place, keep looking there are lots of other places close by that are better.
This is the best food and drinks around Otsego area!
Awesome place for a wedding and wedding reception! The hosts, bartenders and wait staff are unbelievably awesome and so nice!
The food was delicious too! I love this place!
Decent place, we prefer the winter menu to the summer.
New York strip was fabulous. Served with grilled savory green beans.
I was here for the 2016 music festival and it was such a great time. #BigAndRich
Fantastic menu and room for large groups. Great service, live music on weekends
Had lunch buffet, pizza was cold and not that great for woodfired pizza. Salad was ok. Dessert was best part of the buffet.
Super fun if you dont mind crowds! I sat where it was quieter and had awesome service! Huge turnout for the band!
Good food. They deliver to the hotel next door which is nice!
Went for happy hour. Most of us had the grilled cheese cheeseburger. Very, very greasy. Wouldn't order again. Service was good.
Horrible service and ribs were disgusting and fat! Wanted desert the waitress brought the check and didn t offer! Will never eat there again!
We had a 50th birthday party in the 4 Season's room. It was perfect, the space, food, servers were all excellent. Everyone had a great time, we will do all our large gatherings with Rockwoods.
Excellent food for wedding reception, some of the best food I've ever eaten at a reception!
The food was below average. We had a party of 12 and overall people were disappointed in their food. The Cobb Salad had old dried up shredded chicken and oil soaked lettuce obviously meant for another purpose. One drink was sent back and the waitress was very rude and unaccomodating.
Kinda spendy, 5 bottles of beer for $37.00 ? I think NOT. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE.
One of my Favorite places to go to get a great meal and fantastic service! Thank you~
Great food, loved enjoying the evening on the patio.
Good food, good service, a little pricey, but not horrible
Enjoyed the bonfire band "shot thrust the heart" and burger was really good. Friendly wait staff and people!
The burgers and drinks are delicious. Fun music, too.
The happy hour deals make this place worth a visit. The atmosphere is pretty good and they have a decent craft beer selection too. The weirdest part is the one way mirrors in front of the men's urinals. Very strange to be standing there looking out into the entryway!
Food was average. Even though it was 47 degrees outside the air conditioning vents were blowing cold air. Had to eat with a jacket on. On a positive note the service was great.
Stopped in for a Mother's Day dinner. Was seated on time with a reservation. Party had a steak, chicken champagne, brisket and hot links, while the table shared an order of the brisket poutine.
The Poutine was wonderful, with a great mix, but very, very heavy. If it's just two of you or less, you may be full after just this appetizer.
Steak was good, but nothing to write home about. Chicken was 4/5, very good. Brisket meal was very salty, and the Links were tasty but very dry.
The real winner was the beans, which were incredible.
Great food good service, the five napkin burger is great and has the best bacon I have ever had on any hamburger..... But beware the bartender only gives 3 napkins lol
My family went to the Easter Brunch this year at Rockwoods. It was an amazing buffet with a wide variety of food options! Everyone in our group was very pleased with the food, the atmosphere and the service. We will definitely be back!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Rockwoods and WOW! Everything was amazing....the food was amazing, the service and waitresses were fabulous! We were so impressed with everything! Thank you Rockwoods for making our wedding day perfect!!
I've eaten here several times. It's always been good but I can't say I've ever been greatly impressed. For the price point, I think it should be better. My favorite item recently was the bourbon bbq chicken wings. They have a good selection of beer but no great deals at happy hour.
Outstanding burrito. Great atmosphere. Good beer selection.
Atmosphere was good but the food was pretty lacking. I ordered the fillet with fries and asparagus with side Cesar salad. Steak was made to the correct temperature but had absolutely no flavor. Both fries and asparagus were cold and the salad was soggy and drenched in dressing. I was kind of expecting the food to be sub par and I called it. Don't waste your money.
Food was good, service was good, price was good. See a trend here.
Had the street tacos with burnt end tips, Fantastic. Try the caramel roll bread pudding for desert!
Planning an event at Rockwoods is so simple!! They help with thing from decorating, clean up, restocking food items, and even helped with the days timeline! The venue is large, clean, and beautiful!!! Food also tasted great! Highly recommend!!!
We brought friends there foe a birthday dinner. They had never been there before. Our friend ordered a Juicy LUCY and the sauce was good but the burger was extremely dry. My husband ordered a chicken fried steak and he said it was the worst meal he s ever had in a restaurant setting. I had stead and it was ok.
Definitely would not go back. It was better food before when it was Blackwoods.
Great menu! They really have so many wonderful options!!
This better!! Its to bad we cannot handle the truth anymore without feeling getting butt hurt and fixing it
Good food served hot and qucik, reasonably priced, friendly helpful staff. I'll be back!
Great selection of beers. Fancy restraunt, but casual clothes are definitely accepted in a sense where you wouldn't necessarily feel out of place. The gem of Otsego :)
Best brunch I've ever had. Don't usually see walleye which was a nice surprise.
I used to come here frequently for the Sunday brunch. It was much better when it was Blackwoods and shortly after. There was not nearly as many choices for food as there used to be and it is a shame to find the prime rib was terrible. I believe it was a cheaper cut of meat or not cooked correctly and was both tough and gelatinous at the same time. I couldn't even eat it, it was physically impossible. Restaurants should never compromise quality to save money and still charge the same price. Rockwoods you should be ashamed of this and provide the same upscale dining experience you used to be known for. I've had complimentary breakfasts at hotels that we're better than this, also no more bloody Mary bar which could have gotten the taste out of my mouth. Very disappointed, sigh.
