Absolute crooked insurance company.
Be prepared to have them change your policy without notice, and if you have a claim they'll change the policy in order to screw you every way possible.
A complete waste of insurance money. Had a claim where Keith V. breeched a contract and breech a confidential contract and did it intentionally.
If they need an attorney for your claim you haven't got a choice who you get, they pick for you and screw you the entire way.
Better off with any other company hands down.

Rockford Mutual had been great to deal with for our insurance claim for hail damage. Very prompt. Great support. Especially with all the chaos of covid, they have been great to work with. Would highly recommend. And happy to have all of our insurance through them.

Had a claim. They would not sit down to adjust scope of work. Refused to acknowledge the claim. After fighting for 2 months they stated "it was a covered claim" Then they refused to pay for the work to repair the building. There customer service is terrible. They systematically discouraged me from asking questions. When I sent questions in writing they would not respond. Only time I got any responses was when I filed a complaint with the IL department of Insurance. Then they only did enough to state that they could say they had responded. The second time I got a response was when I filed a law suit against them. The state should put them out of business. They are the definition of fraud. Don't think because you pay them premiums that you have insurance. They will do anything to not pay a fair claim. Notice that the only good reviews come from their employees.

I recently had a claim on a building that Rockford Mutual insures for me where a pipe broke causing over 100k in damages. I couldn't be happier with the claims service. Everything has been payed quickly with no hassles.

Auto claims cancelled after step-son had a minor fender bender. There were no other claims during the period we had this insurance. Green Toyota won't even sell their insurance anymore because of issues clients have had. Total scam company.

This company does not have a good track record of taking care of their clients. Feel free to google "2018 IL App (2d) 170637" and you will see what I'm talking about.

Their website has never worked too well, and my latest renewal came with a nice insert saying they're raising the monthly installment fee by $7/month. I took the opportunity to change to a more reputable carrier.

Never personally had a claims experience so can't speak to that, but judging off of their ratings and the other cases it seems one would be wise to keep their business elsewhere.

Scott Freund was wonderful to me today when I had an accident in a high traffic area on the 53 South local lanes coming from 90. I was in an area with merging traffic and couldn't get out of the car. I had several phone calls with him throughout the day as I made decisions. Grateful for his help.

I personally have Rockford Mutual for Home & Auto Insurance. Claims are handled quickly and efficiently out of Rockford, IL. Their rates are pretty tough to beat for most, while staying level over the years. You will not regret making a switch to them, I can speak first hand after dealing with claims in the past. I had not heard of this company before but was looking for a more competitive rate on my auto insurance. Unfortunately I had an accident and WOW, I can't say enough good things about my experience. Debbie B was so pleasant and easy to work with and didn't make me feel bad about my accident. Top Notch.

Recently filed a claim on my Homeowner's policy. Rockford was courteous, professional and timely in their response. I am very pleased with them as my insurance company and glad that I made the change when I did.

Recently had a claim for hail damage to roof. Rockford Mutual s claim adjuster came out in a timely manner and has made it a smooth process. Just waiting on the contractor to begin work.

I am so surprised to see so many negative reviews. I have had two claims, one for a windshield repair and one for an expensive accident that was my fault. Both times I was treated with courteous insurance representatives and had no problems with payment to the body shop of my choice. I highly recommend Rockford Insurance.

Had instance where a dump trailer came loose from back of my pickup truck & caused $2,400 in damage. People at Rockford Mutual were excellent & received a check for repairs in just couple of days. No hassle, just excellent service. Thank You.

Horrible experience after having them for nearly years. Made a claim for hail damage which they never paid me out for and everyone I worked with from the adjuster to the office was just awful with how they treated you and handled business. Would NOT recommend unless you want to pay for coverage you won t actually get to ever use

Auto insurance wise, they are very good to me. But their website needs improvement. I typed in all my answers got the policy number correct and it still says it is not able to process my account. I was going to pay online, but I will not now.

I provided proof my roof was done in 2014 because i was hassled by an employee stating we had to redo our roof or would no longer be covered. We proved proof and and still treated with terrible customer service and staff was unprofessional. I will never use them again.

Love this company. Good prices, quick service, quick appraisal and check issued. No hassle. Everyone I talked to was courteous and polite. Our local agent is great to work with also.

Great company was skeptical at first never heard of them but over the years they have come thru multiple times. Every claim we ve had has been handled with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. I would recommend them to anyone that wants top notch coverage and service.

Anyone who gives this company more than 1 star either works for them or a freind or family member is employed by them. They will not pay any claim without a kicking and crying. Terrible ethics and a terrible adjuster who disclosed personal information to a contractor unbiased.

Horrible company to work with. If you want a company to completely ignore your concerns and try to back out of paying claims that are just then I suggest you try Rockford.

Siding damage on condo. Considering the circumstances, Rockford Mutual could not have made this any easier for me, I work a lot. So they made my claim so easy. A Check was issued right away and when more damage was found during repair they issued a check right away for that as well. What a great experience. Thank you Rockford Mutual.

I have never had such a horrible experience when dealing with an insurance company. Aaron and Patrick are two peas in a pod. They speak in circles and the end result is not in your favor and you are wrong and it s your fault. We caught Aaron in lies and when speaking with Patrick he was just as abrassive and arrogant as Aaron. Good luck guys!!! This is not how you run a business...well maybe a shady insurance company you do. Thanks for the headache I ll be sure to tell all my friends!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. A few weeks ago, my husband got t-boned by a client of said insurance company, who ran a red light. Now that we have the official police report and a car that is completely totaled, they refuse to pay out for their clients stupidity. They even say the police report is wrong just because their client claims she had the green light. So, now my husband and I get to take this joke of a company to court. I'm sure this company will not only waste your time, but also your money.

Great company. No issues, with billings or claims.
And they even cover comic books & personal items like that. Highly recommend this insurance company.

I am giving Rockford Insurance 5 stars because of how appreciative they handled a claim. Their insured hit and totaled our car. Rockford, in particular Jessica and Aaron, handled the claim as quickly as they could. They provided us towing, rental car, and a fair price for our totaled vehicle. Jessica and Aaron were also very kind, professional, and answered all my questions whenever I called them. It's never pleasant to be involved in an accident, but at least this insurance company made the pain a little more bearable.Also, if they treated me this well I'm sure they did their insured as well. If I were to ever leave my insurance company Liberty Mutual I would seriously think about insuring with Rockfod and I have never heard of them before, so that's saying a lot for their service!

This company is a diamond in the rough type of company. They may not have a brand as recognizable as other companies out there, but they will do just as good or better in all aspects!

So far, Rockford Mutual Insurance Co has provided good service. My agent is Andy Ferrera and he is extremely helpful, responsive and a pleasure to work with. I have auto payments from my Credit Card and was contacted by my agent that the expiration date on the card has passed and I need to contact him or the company directly to update ASAP. I immediately called Rockford Mutual and updated the information. They charged my Credit Card and sent me the receipt within seconds. I asked about any late charges or fees due to the mistake just knowing how some companies work. The person on the phone said that no charge was added to this payment, BUT there would be a $15 late fee on the next bill. She then stated that Rockford Mutual doesn't normally waive late fees, but she would do it this time since there hasn't been a late payment in over 2 years. Thanks Rockford!

I have been with Rockford Mutual Ins for 17 years. They have always treated me very well and found the employees to be very helpful. When I hear others complain about a business that I value is: first they wanted something more than what they were entitled to; second if there are minimal complaints, just think of the thousands of people that are happy with them but don't write thank you notes on Google!
