In town on business and ate here with a couple of co-workers. The food and service was excellent. Fish was perfectly prepared and tasty. If you like blackened, they do a nice job here (on any fish they offer). Side were also very good. I do recommend.

This is an interesting review as it was bumpy but it was an overall great experience. First, we got there our reservation was handled perfectly. There was a few last minute items I needed to change for the reservation as it went from being a date to an outing with friends. They handled that with great professionalism. We were seated immediately. Once we sat, we got the drink orders in, and here is where the bumps started. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and it could not be found within the restaurant. No problem, the Manager went next door and got a bottle for us and it was amazing. Food orders was put in and great. The food came out, and we were in heaven until we got to the one of the three dishes. The crab cakes which were ordered by one of my friends reminded me more of croquettes thank a crab cake. We completely went with another dish. That bump was corrected with the halibut, which was great. Because there was still a celebration happening, we received a lovely treat from the restaurant which made up for a pretty bumpy evening. The atmosphere was awesome -- truly reminded me of the beach and not a place on the beach that has a restaurant.

I don't know how you give this place high marks. The macadamia encrusted halibut tasted bland like a big fish stick, the "spicy" mac and cheese was bland, and the only thing good was the Kumamoto Oysters, which... you can't mess up. I felt this place could have really benefitted from flavor. The best thing was the free bread. It was delicious.

beat the lunch time crowd by going just as the doors open. the food is surprisingly good. the portions are larger than one would expect in this environment but also quite tasty. the prices are about what you would expect for downtown la, especially at la live.

It was very creative how they set up more patio seatings. I hope these outdoor seatings will stay even when the pandemic is over! The crab cakes and the seafood jambalaya were very yummy as well. ^^

The food was extremely delicious! I highly recommend the clam chowder and the Navy Grog. That drink is mixed so tastefully, I love it! Also, there were 3 guys that just made my experience even better. It was Aaron, Danny and Lalo I believe. They were so friendly and fast.

Really good food! A little crowded, and unless you get the lucky table by the sidewalk, the view is of traffic and people searching for a place to eat. I bit on the pricey side... Cioppino is awsome!

Nice restaurant close to the beach and the pier. You can eat inside or in the patio, service is fast and very kind. The menu is full with a big choice of plates. It s possible to find a special menu for lunch where you can choose one plate of starters, one of entrees and one dessert for a fixed price + tax with big savings.
Foods are good, nice plating and good quantity.

The food was absolutely fantastic and matched with the waiter/waitress service. I had the salmon tacos with mashed potatoes and it was incredible. Just enough to be filling without being stuffed.

I had the Seafood Jambalaya and it was amazing. So much happening but it blended so well together. Nice kick of spice and descent proportion. Service was good, location is perfect. We were outside kinda which gave us a nice breeze of fresh air.

Always legit food on point. Quality fish at market price Seafood is expensive. This place is worth every penny. Pro tip if you want to eat cheap sit at the bar and eat an appetizer or split a meal. I love that they continue serving some of the traditional Hibachi dishes like Manhattan Market. The owner is a true Class Act and runs great businesses. I've been going here for over 12 years and as much as I Miss Hibachi (as a kid) I have as many new memories about rock and fish as I did about hibachi!

First time visiting Rock N Fish. So glad we did! The waiter was friendly, quick, and had the best voice. Two selections from the dineLA menu were 100% amazing. The winter salad was delicious and the fried goat cheese made it over the top. The salmon was great. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing.

What a great meal!! This will be a place to go back to again and again!

Went here for my dad's birthday. It was packed and full for lunch, but give them your number and they will call you when they have a table ready. You can walk around the pier while you wait. Food was good, but pricey. Definitely a touristy spot.

Nice Restaurant at sundown if you ist in their half open area with the view over the ocean. The meal was very much. We (2 people) shared the calamari and everyone had their own main course and we did not finish everything.

Went with Wife and kids this morning for "Brunch". Not sure if waiter didn't know the menu or was trying to save me. Asked for anything with steak. He said they wouldn't have until after Brunch.

Yet, I found one as an upgrade to their breakfast. Ordered it medium. In addition to being 60% fat the steak came out RAW!! Showed the waiter. He said "looks very rare" (yeah). Brought it back to me in 2 minutes. STILL RAW!

Wife got the Huevos rancheros. Phoooey. Saddest looking food ever. Even the over easy eggs she ordered were underdone. Then the scent of cigarettes starting filling the patio. Turns out there is a pub next door and all the early drinkers hang outside smoking.

Kids were getting restless at this point, and cigs were reeking, so we elected to leave. Told the waiter it was still raw. He said "Sorry, we've been having a bad time with the kitchen lately".

If only. Will not return.

What a find! Ocean views and wonderful food! Staff was very friendly and was at our needs before we even realized we needed refills! My wife and I got some of the clam chowder, fried calamari as an appetizer and I got the fish & chips and she got the seafood jambalaya, and everything was mouth watering! A great spot to chill and take in the beautiful scenery. Looking forward to coming back and visiting again!

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere, and a great bar. They could double in size and they would still be full.. and for good reason.

We prefer the semi enclosed patio seating where is a little quieter than inside where the bar is, and offers a little elbow room.

the food here was delicious. from what i remember, we ordered the Oregon blackfish with a side of asparagus and macaroni and cheese. each item on the plate was scrumptious and cooked perfectly. the fish itself was easily the highlight but the sides also were top notch. they're a couple steps away from the beach itself and if you're in the area, i would highly suggest stopping by here for lunch/dinner

Be ready to wait for twenty five minutes or more to be seated.

We ordered the Jambalaya Sea Food Linguini, it was very delicious . It is about a 27 dollars for that plate it has a few pieces of clams, fish, sausage and three small shrimp. The cost of the ingredients is probably like 5 dollars, so I guess your paying a high proce.for the secret sauce. Is it worth the exchange, probably not.

We also ordered the organic Mediterranean Salad with Salmon; the fish was cooked to near perfection and had a very delicious taste.

I had a Stella Artois--- be prepared to pay nine dollars for this beer. This was a very bad financial decision on my part since a 12 pack is about the same price at your local market. Ahhhhhh the cost of dining out.

The Host is super accommodating. Now to our server. Who of you know the difference between a fake smile and a sincere smile? Well, if you get our server you will have the opportunity to decide which one your getting. We got served the imitation one all night.

Great Food, it's near the Beach but No Ocean View. If Ocean View is what your looking for, then go to Moonshadows at Malibu. The waves are underneath your table----- literally.

I would probably go back to this Restaurant, only if I'm in the area. But I would not go out of my way for it as I do for other places
