Rock N Fish Review

Yesterday was the first time we came to that good restaurant. But It is obviously not the last. We had great time with the generous service, with the high quality cooking and wine and with the friendly price. We will surely go back there in a short time.

Food was good I just don't like plastic barriers all around me

Pretty good but not my favorite. It was a little dark kind of crowded and service took forever

So I called about an hour ahead to see if they offered dine In; they confirmed they did to my delight because the menu looked amazing.
But here s where my experience turned sour; I deliberately ask if I need a reservation; I am told that I can just walk in.

Tell me why when I show up I m told it s a 45 min wait and that the empty tables are held by reservation. You can imagine how upset I am that they continue to tell me that reservations are recommended but they do take walk ins.

This seems like pretty pertinent information to tell prospective customers before they drive an hour to your location with the expectation that they ll be dining with your restaurant for the evening.

TOTAL let down. And TERRIBLE customer service and retention.

I recently had dinner at this location based on a recommendation from the hotel. I enjoyed their house salad as my starter. For my main entree I enjoyed fresh crab cakes and sweet potato fries. The service was excellent for the entire meal.

The atmosphere and location are great! And the service is great as well. The food is alright, nothing special!

Great service! Good eats. I got the steak frites sooo good, the shoestring fries are excellent! Try to make a reservation in advanced though because they do get busy!

Really nice place by the beach. Food is really great, service is prompt. Fish & Chips and Fried calamari were really good and were cooked to the perfection. We were seated outdoor and could see the entire pier while we enjoyed our food. Everything was great, the staff had our temperature checked before we were allowed to enter due to the pandemic and tables are sanitized before somebody is seated. The place is Little bit on the pricier side that s why a 4 star!!

Excellent for what it is. Its not 5 stars in the classic sense, but it fills a niche and it fills it well. Friendly staff, great food, and fun buzz.

This is our favorite restaurant. The oak-wood grilled artichoke is incredible, all the food is so good. Great drinks, great people. Great Location.

This place obviously knows how to please their clients. Constantly with a very nice demeanor. The food is conveniently priced, constantly flavorful and clean.

Excellent fish. Great location near the Pier. Enjoy the appetizer Artichokes Coconut Shrimp and Calarmi.

We went to Manhattan Beach for a little afternoon hang and had a marvelous time at Rock'n Fish.

I ordered the fish tacos with mango salsa and sweet potato fries. Each item was perfectly prepared, and the portions were an ideal size. I was drinking water and our server was kind enough to anticipate that I am a thirsty guy and brought me a bigger glass of water without asking. Our server was so sweet and attentive, plus we had a great table with an amazing view of the beach.

The rest of our party ordered cocktails, and they each remarked how well they were made. To put it in the words of my girlfriend's mother, "Everything was perfect."

Small portions...big price. They don't know to make a true Cobb salad.

Best location in Manhattan Beach and the best ribs I have ever tasted.

This was my 2nd visit to Rock'N Fish and both times, my experience was excellent from service to foods. The quality and presentation of their meals is spot on.

On my 1st visit I had a fish entree and with two tasty sides that was superb but due to low battery levels I didn't take photos.

On my 2nd visit, with a charged iPhone I took a pic of my lunch. I opted for their Coconut Crusted Mahi Sliders. I wasn't sure if this would be a snack or my meal. The bartender gave me a 1/2 a loaf of sourdough bread with butter to snack on before my sliders came out. My only "dig" was I really love soup with a good bread and they no longer serve crab or lobster bisque or tomato soups. The soups available didn't agree with me so, "no soup for me!"

My sliders came out and I have got to state, they were heavenly! WOW! I was floored. They were fresh, from the meat to the bread, and the sauce had a rich flavor with some heat. Between the bread, sliders, and a few cold ones, I was done.

As always, service was outstanding. Their bartenders are true bartenders here, quick, on the spot, and anticipate your needs.

I highly recommend you stop by and order a few items!

Bar is impressive with the amount of drinks they have on the shelf. Please is crowded. Food is good. I tried the steak with fries and they were nice. Don't take sangria. Sadly they don't know ho to make it. Everything else was really good.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, the ambiance is amazing, and the customer service is a cut above the rest.

Parking - YIKES! Parking is already tough in Manhattan Beach. I like to park about 10 blocks down on one of the side streets and walk along the beach to the pier. The restaurant is located right next to the pier.

Food - The best! Everything that comes out of the kitchen is fresh, rich and tasty!

Prices - Some of the prices are steep but it's worth it! The quality of food vs what you pay is right on point.

Favorite - My favorite dish is the Mahi-Mahi sliders and the mac and cheese. They do serve some very good bread while you are waiting. Don't temp yourself. Wait until the food arrives and then each the bread with your meal. I have only tried one desert which was the bread pudding. It was compliments of the house. It was a HUGE piece with a yummy caramel sauce and fruit.

If you are in this area, this is a must! Stop by...your taste buds will thank you!!!

Rock's Fish Restaurant is a cool place just next to the beach. I was there before a week or two and I went to the beach with my friends so after a while on the beach we wanted to eat something and we were near this restaurant. The food is great but there are a lot of people and we were waiting too long for our food.

Very busy and so loud we couldnt hear each other. Food was good, not fantastic. Great location right by the pier

Great seafood! The spicy Mac and cheese is great along with some crab!

Nice atmosphere. Extemely close to the pier. Family friendly but a bit pricey.
Better for a date night or a boys/girls night.

Never had a bad meal here. Service is on point. Fish, steaks, veggies, always come out cooked perfect. The Navy Grog is a must try (JUST ONE!). This might be my favorite place in the South Bay, consistently a great experience every time for years and years. We have my office holiday parties here, and i always ask to go here for my birthday. Love my Rock and Fish friends!!!

The food tasted and looked amazing, like a piece of art. The atmosphere was great. It was very busy however. We had to wait 40 minutes for a table for 2 even at 9pm. But it was worth the wait.

Excellent food quality & service! The Surf & Turf was very good. Steak was cooked to perfection. Service was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back.

Very nice affordable place with great seafood. Huge bar, a lot of wood in the interior. We took salad with Ahi tuna, Mahi fish with macadamia, soup - everything was great. Margarita to my taste too sweet.

It was last minute, and I needed to book a private room for a large team meeting dinner. As you probably know, last minute dinner plans for 20+, with a private dining room, in Manhattan Beach, is next to impossible! ROCK'N FISH to my rescue... I don't know how their staff did it, but they provided us with delicious food, fun libations, and incredible deserts with outstanding service. I will admit, I was a bit stressed planning this dinner, but it went off without a hitch. I would like to take a moment to recognize the amazing people that made this happen. Bar; Greg & Leo, thank you for taking care of me before the party arrived. Restaurant; Nick, Monica, Lindy & Heather, thank you for walking me through the game plan before the party arrived, welcoming my team and providing us an excellent dinner. You make it look effortless! Also, thank you to the chefs, we really enjoyed our meals. I appreciate all of you, THANK YOU!

Perfect place to have lunch at Manhattan Beach. Nice Teriyaki Chicken and Sandwich Salmon served here.

Came on a Wednesday night, so it wasn t crowded at all. Interior was really cute and I loved the decorations. Huuuge portions, would come again to try other items on the menu!

Parking was pretty easy since I guess it was a weekday, I just found a spot on Manhattan beach blvd, I think it was free after 8 or 9!

Had macadamia crusted mahi from their lunch menu. The quality of the dish justified its price. Would definitely suggest seafood lovers out there. Ask for extra pineapple sauce, just because it s that good.

Great place, really good food. The fire roasted artichoke is a great starter. We sat at the bar and decided to have dinner after drinks. The bar staff, it was a Saturday night before Father's Day, was busy and they were near perfect! Pleasant, timely and took great care of all their counter guests as well as the unending wait staff orders. Now,vthe food was awesome. Had the blackened halibut, this kitchen can do fish! Make reservations!! Kitchen is open fairly late which really is nice.
