Very interesting to see the lifeboat, a well-stocked gift shop and friendly volunteers. Well worth watching a practice launch, if you can.

Local Heros man an inshore boat and a rib. Victorian building for the larger boat and a new build wooden hut for the little one. The local estuaries are very shallow when the tide is out and many calls are from people who get stranded when the tides come in fast across the sandbanks. Practice night on Thursdays.

Worth a visit. Friendly staff and gift shop. Lovely walk along the promenade.

Always support the Lifeboat - a visit to the station allows the kids (young and old) to see just what it takes too be a HERO!

Love the RNLI always donate and purchase things when near a shop.
Went into this one and was discussing with my kids about what they wanted to buy. Was trying out the torches and pens to make sure they worked before purchase only to be told like some child by the woman behind the counter to "stop playing with the merchandise". Absolutely bizarre attitude to have. I'm guessing she's a volunteer but if suggest finding someone with some manners.
