Dealing with this manufacturer was a nightmare. I bought a used 2013 White Water Classic 150 M a couple of years ago and got a small dent in the aluminum siding in the front. I spoke to Connie in parts and she told me it was no problem to get replacement siding all I had to do was have someone with a resale tax number call with the information. Well I went to 3 service centers to get estimates and told them they had to give their number when they called. Each place called me back and said Riverside is now saying they can't get your metal. They gave the one guy the run around through 3 phone calls until he called me and told me he was giving up on them. Then he was told Connie was out and the girl trying to learn her job was a disaster. After complaints to me by professional service dealers I called Connie to find out what the problem was. She was rude, snarky and pious. She took absolutely no responsibility for their poor business manners and told me they couldn't even tell me what type of siding or the sku number of the siding they used because as she explained their company is a small family owned business and she told me they have poor to no record keeping. This is outrageous to think that now I'm stuck with an r.v. that will be or can't be backed by the manufacturer. Connie when pressed gave me the number of their supplier and told me that if I call them they would be doing me a "favor" to sell me a piece of metal because they are such a big company selling thousands of pieces of siding. So much for taking care of paying customers and wanting business! She then went on to lecture me after she heard in my voice that I was upset and instructed me how I should kiss the suppliers butt to get the metal. A job that in a normal world should have been offered to be done by her if she weren't so lazy. I worked as a parts person for Skyline R.V. for several years. Had I have treated any past customer this way I would have been fired immediately. We went out of our way to support past buyers hoping to keep them in the family for their next purchase. If you have a Riverside R.V. you are stuck. They do not sell parts to individuals and if you call and have the misfortune of getting hold of Connie don't expect any professionalism and make sure you check your tone of voice or you will be scolded like she thinks she's your mommy. Connie, you need a course in customer service.

Our first retro was a 2016 177se. We liked it so much we just traded it in for a retro 2019 195. We like the retro styling and features that it had. The one we traded for did not come with an oven but I may have to add one as I like baking. Everything in both camper's worked great no leaks. We are very happy that we choose Riverside RV. Wait what..... I hear the woods calling gotta go camping

Do not deal with this company! We purchased a new 2015 Retro 177 White Water.
This year when we took it out for the first time we noticed that the floor in front of the door and under the table was spongy. We took it to our RV dealer to take a look at it. They found that there was a gap between the door sill and the outer wall and another gap between the sill and floor. Also the underbelly material wraps around to the top of the floor but is unsecured allowing water to sit on the underside of floor, damaging it from both top and bottom. Although we purchased the extended warrenty when we purchased the trailer, Riverside RV refuses to cover the damage. It is my opinion that shoddy construction is the problem and they should cover at least some of the expense. This is not the first time we have had problems with this trailer, running from something as simple as a cross threaded shower drain to a malfunctioning water pump. Each time we take it out it seems a new problem arises. I will never buy from this company again. Buyer beware.

We love our 180R! Riverside stands above others in the same class in design, function and looks. That s not to say that our trailer didn t come with some issues. Our dealer, however, has been very accommodating in fixing them. I would highly recommend Riverside Retro RV s.

Following these events, we had other problems with our unit. Lucky for us, we were already in touch with Riverside RV customer service when this happened. The cabinet bottom panel came off the cabinet because it had not been properly secured by the worker at the factory. (there were only staples and a single screw to support the wood valence and the window shade). In the same period during a trip the refrigerator door opened on the road and it is emptied of its contents. We lost the food it contained. A week later, the refrigerator stopped working. The power supply and voltage were okay, but the compressor was no longer working. We had to replace the refrigerator unit before we could go back camping. Riverside RV has been a huge help in this regard. Finally we have a problem with the Dometic # 300 toilet in the trailer. It appears to have a manufacturing defect according to a dealer on our route. The toilet does not completely empty into the black water tank and some of the stool and urine remains in the base compartment. We had no other choice to replace the toilet on the way to our vacation.

Yes, I was severe in my words and I am aware of it. It must be understood that the recreational vehicle industry does not have any minimum national standard to meet and that everyone does what they want as a manufacturing process. When I noticed the problems on my travel trailer a lead jumped. I have been watching this industry for several years and I have great difficulty accepting how the RV industry can treat its customers.
Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case (for me) at River Side RV. We will see what happens when the time comes to execute the work. Followed ...

We bought a 2020 Riverside Retro 135 in the fall of 2019.

The time came to winterize, what we saw left us speechless. And yet, we have seen many other trailer companies but never a similar installation.
We discovered behind a partition screwed to the floor in the front storage box. Is it just me who doesn't understand this principle of pumping plumbing antifreeze? The person who did this installation really did not know what he was doing. Why install a valve directly on the pipe without being able to block access to the drinking water tank? What makes it possible to pump both into the drinking water tank and into the antifreeze tank? "No wonder there are complaints about plumbing if it's like that (see photos)." We had to buy in a hurry and install the right device himself to be able to pump our antifreeze correctly into the trailer which was supposedly well inspected by the manufacturer and his representative / dealer. Find the error! How many surprises like this will we have?

Unfortunately, it is also impossible to be able to properly drain the water from the drinking water tank because the drain pipe (low drain point) is installed with an ascending angle and the drain has been drilled too high relative to the bottom of the tank. In this way, it will simply be impossible to empty the entire tank and make it clean and sanitary for the coming seasons because it will be just impossible to be able to empty it completely without having to make several unnecessary rinses and wasting it water unnecessarily and I'm not talking about the taste and smell of bleach.

You will understand that I cannot rejoice and have absolute confidence in this product. In a single trip and a few days of use, we found many anomalies and problems that went under the nose of inspections of River Side RV and the PDI of the dealer who sold us our trailer. It doesn't seem to be really serious as a manufacturing and distribution method. In addition it seems difficult to be able to honor the warranty on the product according to several people. It sounds like an amateur project that you can't find.

We purchased our 2017 177SE in summer '17 from Carlton Camping Center in Chesaning, MI. The dealer was fantastic to work with. We have had a pop up and larger trailer trailer in the past so we knew the drill. We have been across the country and at kinds of weather and after 8,000 miles no issues except for faulty rear lights (which the dealer replaced). Of course I know that (like a boat) these things need careful maintenance and that in conjunction with the quality of build has contributed to our positive experience. We really like the 177SE lay out. I understand that this is no longer available. I understand that the wheel well were improved before my VIN and I have no issues with water leaks as some have reported. The trailer gets a lot of positive reactions on the road and in camps. I follow two Facebook sites for Retro trailers and for the most part folks are positive and enthusiastic. Most of the reported issues have been due to lack experience and many have reported very positive interactions with the Riverside when needed. Keep up the good work!
