Who doesn't love browsing all of the used equipment over at Richie bros?

Awesome place to buy used equipment of all sorts. Spend a half day checking out the trucks and trailers before an auction. Lots of fun.

Totally irresponsible. Absolutely no regard for the safety of people using the roads in this country. Ritchie Brothers offers a "service" to their customers who need to move equipment purchased at one of their auctions. They exclusively recommend a company that they are in business with to find carriers to transport items for customers. Anyone interested in or having purchased equipment can go to the RB website where they provide a price estimate to move your items. They ask if you would like to post your shipment in order to have carriers send quotes. If you agree the link will take you to the "post your shipment" page on the Uship.ca website where your ad will be seen by potential carriers. It all seems very easy and convenient and after all Uship is endorsed by RB so what could go wrong. These carriers that will be giving you quotes may not be what would expect but you have seen no warnings or disclaimers from RB. What you won't know is that ANYONE with a cell phone and email is qualified to be a transport service provider through Uship. No driver's license, insurance, experience or training, operating authority or safety inspections required. Another highway disaster waiting to happen. If this isn't reason enough to quickly run away from these guys and cost is your only concern, consider what happens when things go wrong. Your trucker may be involved in an accident, have mechanical problems or be stopped at a scale or by police. You'll find yourself facing towing and storage fees, heavy fines as well as the cost and time involved in getting another carrier because your guy will be long gone with your deposit. It's unbelievable that with everything that has happened over the past year that there are hundreds. possibly thousands of these irresponsible people operating on our roads from coast to coast. On the other hand business is good for Ritchie Brothers and Uship.

Who doesn't love Ritchie Bros. Although I got swindled on a clearly broken trailer they were selling in Edmonton and had to make a big stink in front of customer to get my money back minutes after the sale. It was surprising because Ritchie Bros had always been so professional. Seemed like new tact. Very foolish to risk tarnishing such a good name. Always so much fun at Ritchie Bros Auctions.:)

I purchased a welder from an auction last fall. The welder was faulty and I took it to a repair facility. The welder was basically scrap. I was helped by Grace and I was able to provide proof that the welder was defective and the company that submitted it to the auction knew about it. After returning the welder for processing I was issued a full refund. I was more than pleased and would deal with Ritchie Brothers in the future.

Used RB finance for a loan on some equipment. Was assured there was no prepayment penalty. When I sold the equipment and tried to pay off the loan, found out it couldn't be laid off early. Buyer beware.

Totally unsatisfied with my Richie brother experienced.I recently purchased a F-550 that was supposedly inspected by Richie brother. It was clearly altered for the sale at the auction and now I am stuck with a truck that Doesn t run and making payments on through Richie brothers finance. The total cost best case scenario is $12,000 and worst case $18,000 to rebuild the engine and some had the egr deleted and dtf delete. I truly feel decisived and would recommend people not to buy from them.as there are not honourable, I honestly hope that Richie brother can make this right!!

This place is huge! So much good stuff! I would have given 5 stars if they d gotten the word out a little better about their change in hours for today.

First time checking out the property and inventory. Impressive. I had no idea how vast an array of items there is available for purchase. Everything is clean and organized and the staff are very willing and able to help.

I have been trying to make it there to view some equipment but the only hours i have been free lately are weekends and they are not open. It would be nice if they would have weekend hours.
