Stopped over to check out the casino. Every employee we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Nice location. Traffic was less stressful than the Strip traffic.

Hotel needs renovation. No vent fan in bathroom furniture old and beat up. Water leak under sink area carpet always damp the only reason we stayed the beds were very comfortable. It's a mile walk to the strip
The rooms are great. Plenty of room since they are all suites. Plenty of choices for food and they have 2 Starbucks. Staff is really friendly. Rio also has all the amenities you would want. Pools, Spa, Massage, even an oxygen bar.
The rooms were good, just wasn't happy about paying a 30 something dollar resort fee for each night & the pool closing at 5pm. Not to mention, only having 1 or 2 pools open at a time. Also, the food at the restaurants were way overpriced. Overall, the rooms were adequate, and customer service was good. Just expected a bit more.
I loved the room and spa tub. Wonderful stay I will do again
Very nice hotel! I watch the Wow show there it s fantastic!
No management hotel.no hot water in room, but nothing action from hotel.got tired.
An older motel with catchy decor. We went to find cheap tables to play, $1.00 and $5.00 tables. There we're a few $5.00 ones. Way off the strip and not near any other hotels. Not really worth it. They have a big buffet breakfast but for a couple bucks more you could get way better quality and bang for your buck going to Bellagio.
Great food and party for New Years Eve. Outstanding service.
My family and I have stayed here a couple times over the last few years. Both times we stayed over a week. The fact that there is no microwave is really disappointing as my family and I have food allergies and can't just eat anywhere. We spent a lot of time using a hair dryer to heat our food. (There is a fridge, though! Yay!) The hotel is pretty outdated. My toilet was running and couldn't be used when I checked in. I called the front desk and they didn't fix it for 4 1/2 hours. I called every half hour. I asked for another room, but there wasn't another. When someone came, he had to take the entire toilet apart and replace the tank. Toilet pieces were all over the room at 10:30 p.m. after I just got off a 5 hour flight with 2 children. Because that is exactly what I want to deal with... (Luckily, the maintenance guy was super nice and made the situation okay. The hotel comped me a $30 food credit which we couldn't use due to food allergies...) The sliding lock on my room door didn't work. My room key worked maybe half the time. My fire alarm battery went dead and chirped for over an hour before someone finally came to fix it. It was 12:30 a.m. when someone came. One of the four elevators didn't work for our entire 8 day stay. Despite all those mishaps, I really enjoy this hotel! The staff is very helpful and just delightful. We absolutely love the Kiss arcade and putt-putt (even with the games that were broken). The pools and hot tub are clean/crystal clear, not over chlorinated and not too crowded. We love their shops/vendors and Hash House a Go-Go was great with our food allergies. Would I stay there again? Absolutely!
Penn and Teller. Fantastic show all around. Charasmatic, entertaining, and they keep it fresh with new tricks that are difficult to figure out. Every show they end with a meet and greet and they will stay until everyone who wants gets a picture with them.
Poor customer service. Website for zip line indicates accessible. It s far from accessible for wheelchair user. Then Asked for directions to restaurant and directed to an escalator when lift required as friend is in wheelchair. When eventually got back to ground level, 2 further employees had no idea where we needed to go. Eventually found someone who told us restaurant closed!! Went to penn and teller show where we were told to get lift and find our own way to seats. Normally we are escorted to them, not left to find our own way. First and last visit to Rio hotel. Not impressed!!
Excellent place to stay, room is big and comfortable. And very close to the strip
The buffet was awesome. Other than that it was good but not anything that would make me want to pay for a room there.
The hotel appears to be a nice place to stay. Purchased the dinner for four from living social $95 the food was not good and not worth the money
If you are in Vegas you must stop by Rio and play the KISS themed glow in the dark mini golf. The staff is absolutely amazing and so much fun and you and the kids will have the best time! I highly recommend you squeeze this into your vegas trip!
Loved this casino! Great games, overhead music was good! Clean and neat. Would definitely return!!
This is a typical Vegas casino hotel even if it isn't directly on the Strip. The resort fees are ridiculously high for what you really actually use. The casino is nice and our room was located a bit off of the main casino floor which can be either a good or bad thing.
The hotel claims all of their rooms are suites. Well, maybe in square footage. Our room was honestly just a normal hotel room but just in a larger space. We weren't given many more amenities, just a lot of extra empty floor space. Our room was on the 31st floor and we were close enough to the Voodoo Lounge that we could hear the music at night. It didn't bother me but the other people in the room said it made it difficult for them to fall asleep.
That said, the rooms were clean and were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and didn't seem like they were rusted or gritty. The hotel does have a free shuttle to the Strip so getting to the Strip is actually quite easy and there a number of places to eat on-site.
Overall, the hotel is nice. Three stars=average and that's honestly what it is. I wanted to stay here since I had never been but always hear about it. I wasn't disappointed. I wasn't amazed. It was just pretty much the same like all the other basic Vegas casinos. They will take care of you really well if you spend the money. Otherwise, it is a pretty average experience. They didn't do anything over-the-top special to make me think I'll come back next time I'm in Vegas. The next time I am in Vegas I will try a different hotel.
Towards the end of our 11 day stay, we noticed our keys didn't work to our room.
Apparently there was some confusion on the check out date and we were asked to get out. I asked the manager to allow us to stay another night as intended, and she said it would cost almost half of what I already paid for the entire week and a half!
Then I asked for 2 hours to pack all our things, clean up and find somewhere to stay. She said they would charge us $220!
So then I asked for at least an hour, and she said no. Then proceeded to send a security officer to the room to make sure we got out.
The room had a broken table, broken TV stand, busted lamp and more, no better than an alley motel. And we never complained.
The security officer was the nicest person working that day, he agreed that we shouldn't have been treated that way and was very patient as he waited for us to pack up without rushing us.
Now keep in mind I have been staying at the Rio every year since they starting hosting the big event and have spent a lot of money there.
I was beyond angry and could not believe the way we were treated and kicked out on the street just so they could fill the room.
I may play the event again, maybe, but will NEVER spend another dime in this establishment.
A horrible disappointing ending to a great vacation.
It was a great place to stay. We enjoyed it. Don't get lured into the people handing free samples out. Not a very good experience, they can't take no for an answer. Don't try and make people feel bad after the first no especially when they've stated they don't have the money. It would help if the hotel could have a little control of the spaces their renting out. We would stay here again. Just would rethink some things. Being preventative and all.
They changed it. Use to be larger they downsized. Food still good
I have stayed at the Rio About 5 times now. Its mainly my go to! The first time I went it was an amazing stay! Second time, bought the same room, but was placed in a way different room. It wasn't as nice. it had a cheaper shower. Third time I stayed it was great again! was upgraded and that was awesome. Fourth time, it was OKAY. i feel i was rushed with everything i was doing at check in and out. no help with luggage or anything. Fifth was just OKAY again.. So im rating it a 3 of 5. If i stay again and they are better Ill let you all know.
Checking in took forever. Nice place to stay overall.
Room ok but is very old, needs update. Does have free valet, reasonable resort fees and deposits. Good customer service. Too many salespeople trying to give you "free" stuff if you sit through a high pressure seminar. Stores very expensive. Food is not good, but expensive.
Went and saw the WOW show, very cool, seating was was great! Performance was absolutely fantastic.
For being a native here, def the best so far.
Place is dated. I stayed on the 36th floor and could hear the Voodoo lounge on the 51st floor every night until 3am. Normally wouldn't be a big issue but I was in town for a convention & had to be up early each morning. I used to live in Vegas & have seen 6 hotels implode- I'd make a special trip to see this one go!
Cigarette smoke is everywhere, but otherwise it's a great place.
This is the ONLY hotel we stay at I'm Vegas. Sometimes we'll spend the entire Vegas trip enjoying the amusements in the hotel. Air conditioning is wayyy cold and they have security everywhere. Room service is wonderful.
Nice place bartender didnt comp drinks while we were playing, which we were I dont scam.
this place has the worst customer service. The room was disgusting and when we complained to the front desk they could care less. It took 20 minutes standing at the desk to just get checked in. We stopped by the purple zebra to get a drink three different times ( all times they were open) not once were we able to get a drink because they were of plaguing the slots!! Don't waist your time at this hotel. Go to the mirage. We didn't even stay there and we had better service at the mirage. The rio is a dump. Don't waist your money or time here.
Excellent hotel, rooms are very spacious, and very clean, very satisfied staying here. The only downside is we reserved two adjacent rooms, (divided by a door )..and when we got here they told us than they are not going to be able to give us that reservation, (adjacent door )...they gave us a lot of
" reasons or excuses " why they couldn't give us that booking...other than that, excellent hotel.
Great experience! Crystal was excellent. I will specially ask for her when I visit again. Spa was nice, staff was great. 30% off with military ID. Great way to spend extra time.
Nice rooms. Good times, Accept the Cosino Slot machine were so tight.
Super nice I visited just to go ziplining. I would give 5 stars but it took me almost am hour (there is no signs) to find how to get to the zip line. They might make more money if they tell people how to find them.
I really enjoyed the casino floor. They had several games that I had not witnessed before at the main strip casinos. It also has a great location, with it not being a terrible distance away from the strip. It's a rather easy walk. They also host a fantastic show, Penn & Teller. I did not stay in the hotel, so I cannot give an opinion on that aspect.
Win and lose win and lose. Viscious cycle but fun anyways!
Large rooms, low (by comparison) price. Great restaurants right in the hotel, and multiple amazing shows in the building make this the hotel I'll return to next time I'm in town.
I did a mid night check in and after reaching the room, there was no water in the room. There was no water in shower and no water for flushing too. Only air came from the taps. When i called the maintenance department they said there was an outage. At the time of check in they did not inform me about this. I stayed in premium luxury suite and the fabric in the headboard were torn. I have stayed in many resorts in Las Vegas. By far this is worst one. In the front desk while checking out they promised me to refund the room rent and resort fee for that particular day. I was not provided a bill when i checkout. They said the system is down. Still i have not received a bill in electronic form too. At last they just refunded just the resort fee. I felt like i was cheated.
Ate at the buffet.
It was better years ago when we visited.
Rio is a decent resort. The Penn & Teller show is one of my favorites in Las Vegas. Great venue, great entertainment. It's off The Strip and traffic can be brutal getting there so plan ahead.
Will never return! Stayed in room 676 and our room had roaches in there. Called front desk and they didn t believe us. Came to see the roaches and they still wouldn t give us another room. It was a long battle with management but I will not return here. I woke up to roaches not just in the bathroom area on the bed and in my belongings!
This place is my favorite place in Las Vegas to stay and I will tell you why. The staff that works there are above anyone else who is connected with the Wyndham Corporation. They went out of there way to make sure my stuff was taken care of when I went there for a timeshare presentation. Even though I was unable to make it to the presentation due to an accident I had which landed me in the hospital the management still allowed me to keep my room at a very reasonable price while I recovered from my injury. Even though I have absolutely nothing good to say about the Wyndham Corporation, I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay at a classy resort for a reasonable price. The staff there are definitely a 5 star rating and to the Corporate people of the Wyndham Corporation, you all could take a lesson from this staff because you guys just plain suck whenever it comes to customer service. Keep up the good work all of you at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and casino. You're all #1 in my books
The Rio was amazing I love the off strip location really was a blessing
Reeked of smoke all the time. There was mold all over the bathtub grout and seal in the bathroom. The mattresses look old and worn down. I did like that there was 1 soft and 1 hard mattress in the room. The couch had stains all over it.
Still a nice place to stay. We had a huge room that was very comfortable. A couple of minor issues drags their rating down, but overall a great stay.
The Rio is my favorite escape to the sun. Great spot off the strip but still close to everything. Clean and good retaraunts. They are known for the buffett. They keep adding new attractions. Zip line from one tower to the other!
Conveniently located near the strip. Lots to do inside the hotel itself, friendly environment, Hertz Rental car inside. Convention Center inside. Pool, Zip Line, Massage area, shopping, Casino & Shows inside.
Totally dated hotel. Lobby was inundated with cigarette smoke. Room was ok at best. One Mattress sagged terribly, couch bed didn't have any sheets, carpet was stained, but on the plus side the room smelled clean! Wouldn't stay here unless I was really desperate!
It was our first time at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. I felt that customer service was great. Casino and various stores and foods to enjoy. The buffet was good for me as well.
It's a dive. Only stay here if you have a convention at the Rio centre.
In desperate need of a refurb. Hotel staff are not friendly - if you can find any. Room service can only do the steak right.
Also, dont expect to be put up in the room you paid for. After complaining, I still didnt get the suite we bought.
Decent hotel for the low price.. easy access to parking, not far from the strip, little liquor store off casino has reasonably priced drinks..
However, during my stay it seemed only 1 elevator worked, so it could take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to get on the elevator and it was always packed full because of being the only one, so was stopping on every floor to let people off or more people trying to get in.
Upon check out there was a $220 charge from the box office that I hadn't made, it took nearly 2 hours to have this straightened out, and a month later I realized they charged it to my credit card anyways.. I called and it has now been fixed.. but I could have easily missed this charge that I was assured was taken care of...
try an MGM Company...
This casino either needs to be remodeled or shut down the rooms and everything looks super old like come on now put a sparkle in my eye... but I will say this the rooms are very cheap so if your looking not to spend a whole bunch of money this is the place to come... I stay in vegas and like to do stay cations so again I do recommend this place if your trying not to spend alot of money.. I got a simple room with two beds... and I like it but again they can do better with everything be old
Great pool, clean landscaping. Lots of slots and table games. I was looking for $5 blackjack but was unable to find a table here. I'll try the hotel in the future. Very small poker room, I always watch the tournament on television and assumed the poker facilities were bigger.
I really enjoyed my stay at Rio, the large king room was fantastic, the bed was so comfortable, the view was unforgettable on the 20th floor. Every was Amazing. Love the aroma inside the casino all the time it smells super fabulous. Great places to dine and the buffet was really good too. Definitely wouldn t mind coming back in the future.
Not what I expected !!! Nor seen on their website. Book over a month and a half ago paid in full . Only to come and not get the room we reserved and paid for . Had to which room because the first one was a nightmare. Never again will I spend money to stay at the Rio.
Rooms are older and getting a little tattered and dated, but are still spacious, and it's a little quieter since it's slightly off the strip
I stayed at the Rio the past few years and I can say it is a great Hotel. Rooms are very clean and the pool is one of my favorites in Vegas. There are other hotels that have better pools but the Rio's pool is nice. They have a pool that has a couple of huge waterfalls. I definitely recommend the Rio.
Rude casino staff and Poor customer service upgraded suite was dirty, leaking roof over the jaccuzi..... so much regret for booking here
The Room Was Beautiful. The Service was Number 1. In the Casino when Gambling the Cocktail Waitresses were Nice and Polite. The Pools were Clean. Never having to Ask for Anything. Well be going Back to Rio in a Month or So. And the Food was Fantastic Also. Don't Forget the Zip Line !
Very accommodating, I had to check in and out multiple times but they made sure I never had to change rooms. Also the rooms were super spacious, and I reccomend you get a massage if you need to relax.
Sunday brunch wasn't the quality that I remembered there.. very disappointed $29 for Sunday brunch very mediocre... They did away with the Mongolian grill --no crab legs-- just peel and eat shrimp --- they used to be the Crown jewel of buffets in Las Vegas being the first buffet that had individual stations for each cuisine ( Italian-Mexican-Asian ) ... very poor excuse for a salad bar The only fresh fruit they had was pineapple and watermelon really? They don't even serve you your drinks anymore you have to go get your beverage yourself.. You might be able to fool the tourists with your high priced--- low quality buffet but for a long time local that knows of values to be had at other hotels for quality food and quality buffets I won't be back ....
Great experience. Nice size rooms. Great service. Person at desk that helped me was nice, informative and was even up graded room. Room was clean with nice views. Will be staying here again.
Shops and Gambling was nice. KISS mini golf was very cool to see.
Always great customer service. Rooms are clean and big. Wish they had a coffee pot in the rooms. Restaurants are fun and very tasty. We love the Buffet
Good place ,under some kind of renovation only part open but a good time.
When i visit its not so crowded but its out of the way.
AGT Auditions! A friend invited me for moral support & we had a blast. The crowd of participants was filled with enthusiasm & the staff was out of this world, greeting everyone with a smile & kindly pointing us in the right direction while cheering us on with good luck wishes.
Great resort. Even the un-remodeled rooms still have class, they are all suites after all. Nice to chill on a couch instead of the bed
I stayed in a 1 king bed suit (carioca) Mountain View.
Non-Smoking
Casino and bar downstairs. Plenty of self parking (garage and outdoor) chinese restaurant and uber drive through. 2 min drive distance from strip.
Right off the 15 freeway
Waking up to a high Sunrise was very worth the cost and peaceful night.
I loved my stay and view in Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Room's big and spacious but the location is not that good
Awesome Hotel & Casino that has 100% FREE parking and the best buffet in town.
The place is fine. Pretty confusing to get around, no easy fast food, it's all restaurants. Rooms are pretty dated, no coffee maker, old old cabinet for the tv. But it's fine. Clean. Comfortable beds.
I go to Starbucks sometimes in the morning to charge my phone and don't get bothered like every other casino.
It was a nice hotel. My only "miss" was there was a mini fridge in the room but no microwave . When I called to inquire the guest service rep. said there weren't any throughout all the hotel!
Got a decent deal on a regular suite. Check in was a breeze using their kiosks, and we got a cheap upgrade to one of their nicer suites. However, the upgrade changed us from "Strip view" to "mountain view". Not a big deal. The room was gorgeous, two separate bathrooms, a big "living room" and the beautiful bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to weather. We also did the KISS mini Golf, which was a lot of fun. All in all a great little stay in a roomy and wonderful suite.
A decent off strip hotel that seems like it was a killer place to stay about 20 years ago. Rooms are decent, but lack newer amenities of other modern hotels. Needs an updo, but it works.
We had a nice time at the Rio Hotel. Nice rooms and attentive hotel staff. Good selection of restaurants to choose from. We saw Penn and Teller, always a treat and The Wow show. Terrific variety of amazing and talented dancers, archery, roller skating and cirque type performances. We'll definitely will visit again. Only down side is parking is far away, unless you valet. Getting lots of luggage to the room requires bell man services... if you only have a few pieces of luggage then you can walk them through the hotel easily.
I ate at Hash House here. I will say that the pictures of the food are awesome! The taste... eh - it's ok. The price is reasonable. I had a good time.
I really like staying here.
Some of. The rooms are quite dated but they're spacious. The casino floor is lively and well maintained.
The buffet is excellent.
It is OK.
It would be great, if the casino didn't smell of cigarettes and cigars.
Join the 21st century!
I liked the Rio. Plus my favorite artist has a store there!!
Was just passing through, never had been to that hotel/casino before. The floor plan was open and spacious and look well kept ( because I do believe that is one of the older hotel/casinos). Planning on seeing pictures of the room and possibly planning to stay there! Location was good. Not on strip but close to freeway, finding parking was simple and the shuttle area was big and easy to locate.
This hotel is not on the strip but it is close by the they could use some updating but it didn t cost too much so i can t really complain i do feel this hotel is nice the room sizes are really nice the rooms where clean so no complaints there only about 4-5 min to get to the strip in a Uber or Lyft i would stay here again
20 minute walk to the strip, $7 uber ride. Rooms were nice but pretty average for a hotel. Wasent to thrilled about the water pressure, kinda felt like standing under a hose. The voodoo rooftop lounge was pretty good time, great views to see the sunrises and great panoramas of the whole strip. Pictures from my impanima room 300's and rooftop bar.
Great entertainment, shops, good buffet, the vodoo steakhouse was to die for. Delicious food. Highly recomment it.
I made the reservation through AAA and got hit with a separate resort fee outside the reservation. Can we please normalize listing that information together so I can actually budget a vacation accurately???? Then their front desk takes an estimated 30-45 mins to get anything done. Idk if it's the systems they use or the staff, but it takes forever no matter what you need help with. The rooms are great but for the price and compared to other hotels on the strip, it's not enough. Parking is a free-for-all during events, so pretty much expect to valet or drive out the way if you're a hotel resident
Great room at a fair price only thing it costs a fortune to eat at the restaurants on property no cheap options we went to smash burger and it was 40 bucks for 2 should of went across the street to Dennys so over all the accommodations were very nice the rooms were big went with the Premium Suite
Would have been great if everthing wasnt closed.. Was here during historic shutdown.
Won money!!..Saw the fireworks from the rooftop on NY..Great place away from the crowded strip
We booked the Rio one day in advance and it was A BARGAIN! The pool area was too crowded for us but we enjoyed our stay with a Show and the Strip anyway! :)
Not on the strip, place is showing that while it isnt old it has a lot of mileage. The staff is great though.
