Rider is by far the worst insurance company I have...

Rider is by far the worst insurance company I have ever had . I had an auto accident in 08/2019 . It Did not involve no other vehicle nor did it involve property damage just my motorcycle . Till this day I have yet to hear from my adjuster or his supervisor . Every-time I call and ask for a supervisor they either hang up or give me the run around .
Supervisor John caputo and the adjuster in charge of my claim Andy Wang . Both scams . They don t answer the phone nor do they ever call back. I feel like I m being scammed. Granted I switch insurance a day prior . But that s not the case I have a state police report and they can check my history never have I been involved in anything negative . I just want my bike fixed. This insurance company is quick to take your money but when you call for service they put you on the back burner . I wouldn t recommend this insurance to anyone . Stay away SCAMS.

They are very personal, I have always been able to call or get answers on line when needed. They are always in your corner. I have 4 Motorcycles Insured with RIDER, they give you the most bang for your buck. No other Insurance can even compete with their pricing. Thank you RIDER!

It s difficult to give a 5 star rating when I haven t experienced the need to file a claim. (Although people I know who have had to file a claim all have indicated satisfaction with the process.)Having said that , I have been a customer since the 1970s. Their rates are highly competitive, they are motorcycle people, and their customer service has always been exemplary.

I have had this insurance for 3 years now. I pay it in full once a year. I haven't had to use the insurance (Thank god) so I can't comment on anything except I fly out once a year to the west coast and Rent a Harley for a week and I have to purchase insurance on it because My Riders insurance won t cover a rental. If I were to change insurance so far that would be the reason I would change.

Do not like dealing with them on the phone. I have yet to have a satisfying phone call, none have been successful in completing the task I was attempting. Also, not the friendliest staff.

Not bad but I paid my payment through my bank app. The payment was late by 4 days due to the bank app and power outage. They sent me a letter saying my insurance was canceled null and void. I ve had rider for several years and was never late with a payment. There should be a grace period or at least a call wondering, from my great payments in pass years. Well I called once I received the letter and asked about my policy and the nice lady at rider says My payment had already processed and that I was in good standing with my policy. Just wondering several other insurance companies have valued there customers giving them grace period and percentage off of their policies as a gift back in these trying times. Never received that from this company to my knowledge but I will have to look first and might start looking and comparing at others insurance companies to save. If Rider is the lowest I will stay and hopefully this won t happen again. It s about savings.

I really.like rider, the only problem i have is your web site. I tried to renew and i had to call to make renewal as i had tried to sign on a number of times and it would not take my user id or password. I havent changed the words but it kept saying they were invalid.

I have a love/ hate relationship with Rider.

I have a love/ hate relationship with Rider.
I love them, because they are local or have a local office, they seem to deal only with motorcycles, and seem to have adapted to the modern needs of a motorcyclist.
However,
I also hate them, because I remember being younger and having a sport bike, and a few speeding tickets and they first raised my rates to insane #'s $$$$$, then cancelled me as a high risk driver.
That s a hell of a way to treat a loyal customer. And sport bikes have to be a large portion of their income.
Now ,I'm a bit older , riding a Harley cruiser and no tickets in over a decade.
So, my feeling is they are a good company, but not great, I am always considering Geico or progressive.
Furthermore, I used (or attempted to use the roadside assistance) last winter, it was a cold night, I was only 4 miles from home , but had a battery and/or starting issue.
The company they linked me to, was based out of Toms River, I'm in Woodbridge, so that's 60 miles roughly, and on a weekend about 1 hour of driving give or take, according to my calculations and past experience.
yet somehow the rider rep. told me the tow truck would be there in 45 mins. That didn't add up.but, I said , hmm,ok maybe the driver was already closer to my area. Let me not question it. So 1 hour goes by, no tow truck. I call the actual tow truck company and the guy says "it's gonna be 2 to 3 hours we r coming from toms river..ok.amd during weekend traffic.
By now. It's late dark n cold..i usually have a saddle bag full of tools , but I didn't this time. I did have a few basics with me tho.
I had 12 volts at the battery, checked some wires..found a bad ,loose connection recrimped it.started the bike, cancelled the tow truck..never use that again..2 to 3 hours to be stranded somewhere..no thanks !!
If they don't have towing affiliates in 3 areas of n.j. , North, central, and South, then it is not worth calling for help.

I had put a hold on my motorcycle insurance for a couple of months and when I called to reinstate my insurance it was much easier than I had imagined. The tech was friendly and efficient and it was a pleasant experience. I am sure I will always stay with Rider.

Rider Insurance is a company that understands the needs of the modern day motorcyclist.
They are cost effective and very responsive.
I had the unfortunate need to make a claim and the professional, prompt attention and follow up that I received was beyond reproach.
Thank you for a job well done.
You have a customer for life!

While , thankfully, I haven't had a claim I will say, from the experiences of 2 of my close friends, Rider's road service is fantastic. One in a remote location in western Iowa a flat tire, called Riders within an hour bike was picked up and delivered to a shop where repairs were made quickly, and she was back on the road. Second, wheel bearing failure in Nebraska had the bike picked up at 7AM delivered to the nearest HD shop where repirs were made quickly and he was back on the road before 10:30. I've waited much longer for AAA on auto breakdowns in a major metro area than for Riders out in the "boonies"

Had Rider insurance 18 years now Plymouth Rock is involved had my first claim accident was on the 7th of September i spent a month in the hospital, I made the claim in October around the 7th , they totaled the bike and October 30th they took possession of my bike, have not received the check called numerous times and get the runaround it is now December 17th just got off the phone with them and they told me that if I didn't have my check by the 22nd to call them back and they will issue another check, I feel like this is a ridiculous amount of time they've taken with a lot of wasted phone call time on my end for being a loyal customer, stay away if possible find a new insurance company if you're using them they're definitely not as good as they were when it was just Rider. I have State Farms for my other insurance they seem to have their stuff together but I've never had a claim with them either, thought I'd give an update on the situation, so I've been dealing with Nikko Torres he is the gentleman that told me to call back on the 22nd. And he would Issue a new check so I called back he told me now that it's the post office's fault that they're holding everything up, it's just been forever now this company's horrible and I think they plan on stringing me along forever it's now December 26th 20/20 keep in mind almost two months since they've had possession of my motorcycle, I will keep you posted, finally got my check from Rider 01/08/2021 if you like getting apologized too over and over and to wait for your check for 3 months this is the company for you.

I cannot comment on pricing since I have not shop around but seemed to be fairly lower than my car's insurance company offers (this included multi cars bundle). I have not use it to file a claim, and Im crossing my fingers that I never will. I just have the bare minimum since my bike is cheap. Will increase the premiums once I get a bigger bike. Customer services were nice and easy to deal with when I called in to renew my policy after a short period of expireatie (twice happened due to my forgetfulness after got back from vacation). They were also more than willing to provide me with new quotes/rates on different models. The website is easy to use to renew the policy too. Again this is just point of sale services I commented on.

Rider's service is amazing. They 100% go above and beyond to make sure their customers are completely taken care of, every time.

Recently, due to some crazy weather, their office was closed. We had a policy renewal come due and needed to make payment. I was having trouble resetting the online user/password and unfortunately couldn't call in for assistance. I hopped on Facebook and just sent a quick message to see if the reset was connected to the power outage due to weather.

One of the reps got back to me almost immediately via messenger and helped me troubleshoot the password reset (user error) all through chat. It would have been so simple to apologize and say that the office was expected to open tomorrow and would be able to assist. Instead the representative time to go back and forth with me and their IT area, and did not give up until I had successfully logged in.

To top it off, they sent a great tshirt for my husband as an apology for the inconvenience, which was fantastic. Honestly we did not feel remotely inconvenienced because of the way were treated by the representative. I will use their example of customer service as a teaching tool for my own employees for sure.

I have been with Rider since 2012. While I have not needed to file a claim I have have always found them to be be friendly and responsive whenever I have contacted them. I always recommend them when the subject of motorcycle insurance comes up.

What can I say bout riders except that I love them.. when I bought my brand new 2016 r1 every insurance company I called gave me some outrageous quote.. finally I settled with another company who's name I wont say (progressive) for a couple months.. because it felt hopeless.... a few months later a friend told me about RIDERS INSURANCE.. so I got a quote from RIDERS and let's just say that's the last time I will ever have to look for motorcycle insurance again.. I've been with riders for almost 3 yrs... I saved more then 60 % useing riders... i cant tell you how well riders handles claims because I've never had to file a claim. (HOPEFULLY I WONT HAVE TOO) as for there customer service there AMAZING. I've never had a rude customer service representative. I've always felt like they have valued my business... I would recommend them to everyone and anyone who wants a great deal and to feel valued.

Very disappointed. When I filed a claim, I could not get answers to any of my questions. Every department did not know what the other departments jobs are. I had to fill out papers and send in pictures and wait for call backs. Finally when the claims adjuster called me to ask for more info, I determined it didn't pay for me to file a claim. What a waist of both our time and effort.

I would not go with any other insurance company for my motorcycle. Rider Insurance has made it very easy for me not only to renew my policy every year but to also make my payments. Thank you and keep up the good work!!

I have been with Rider for over 2 decades. In all my experiences they have provided excellent service and been there when needed. The fact they are focused on motorcyclists and our needs makes it even better.

I've had Rider Insurance covering all my motorcycles ever since 1971 when I was discharged from the Army where I purchased my first motorcycle.
Fortunately for me, I've never had to file a claim and all I've done for the past 48 years was pay my premiums.
It was reassuring to know if I ever needed Rider's help, I'd have it.....

Rider not only provided coverage of my motorcycle at an excellent price, when I unfortunately needed to file a claim they were wonderful to deal with and made the ordeal easy to handle. Extremely quick and fair handling of all of the issues of an accident. Thank you Rider Insurance.

I went to Rider Insurance because I got a better rate than Allstate. My first year my rate was $89 a year, my second year was $100 a year, now my third year is now $148 a year. I guess I'll wait for next year to see if it goes any higher, if it does I'll probably be looking for someone else. I can see if I have had claims but I have never had a claim in 30 years of riding. My rate and review are based on the price increases I have had in my 2+ years of being a customer.

I started my first policy with Rider Insurance back in 1978! It's a great company and a pleasure to deal with. I unfortunately had a total loss in the early 80's and the claim was handled quickly and professionally. Thank God I haven't had an issue since. With the internet it's so easy to take care of everything online. I kind of miss the personal interaction. Thank you for so many years of service and peace of mind. 5 stars!!!

Relatively inexpensive, I have gotten good customer service, and have had to file 2 claims 1 due to vandalism, the other a windstorm and they took care of me without raising my premium and good customer service. I do recommend!

I have had a motorcycle since I was 15 years old. I am now 39 years old. I have had many insurances and I must say Ryder by far is the best. You will come to find this out when you have an issue with your bike like I did. I needed a tow at 2am and they came through for me for free.

Rider has always been very easy to work with. I have mostly used the web site which always works well and efficiently.

When I've called, they've also always been quick and easy to work with.

Prices seem very reasonable.

Thankfully, I've never had to use them for any claims.

When I first applied for insurance I looked around and found the best service and responsiveness was with Rider. ANY TIME I called with a question or issue it was resolved quickly, like by the time I got of the phone, and effectively without further incident or concern. Thanking the entire staff for your outstanding service.

I live in New Jersey and have been hit twice by our wonderful drivers. One driver had sub par, dollar a day insurance and left me with minor broken bones and no ability to receive treatment let alone the means to replace a hard to find motorcycle. RIDER had me covered even when the ignorant drivers had only their typical excuses to offer. I was even able to put my account on hold untill i could heal up and secure funds to locate another ride. It was EASY AND SIMPLE to reinstate my policy with a different ride. It goes without saying that the rates, coverage and service by rider are unbeatable... They insure in NJ, that should say enough! THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR RIDERS
