A few of us were members here 20 odd years ago and we went back for a nostalgic game. The course has matured nicely and the layout has stood the test of time and I think is an excellent golf course. It was therefore a great shame that the really TERRIBLE greens rather spoiled the game. Really slow and really bumpy. They had obviously been hollow tined but nowhere near enough dressing had been put on . The greens at my course were done 3 weeks ago and are now perfect already. Shame.

Fantastic gym with excellent and friendly staff. I have been given routines that are just right and have progressed well. It is a lovely place to go. Lovely pool. Part time and over 65 memberships bring the cost down.
Played just after a week of heavy rain and the golf course did show this but still was in very good condition. Was very impressed with the greens and the customer service was exceptional. Will be playing again
I have been a member at Chartham Park Gym for 7 years and love the variety of studio classes they offer in the evenings. The gym gets busy during seasonal peeks (New Year) but the rest of the year it provides a great place to exercise, socialise and get fit.
I ve been a member since Dec 18 and I m so glad I joined. It s unlike any gym I ve ever been a member of. Staff are knowledgeable, genuinely care about your wellbeing and goals and the general vibe is very positive and supportive. I stopped going to other gyms due to the peacock syndrome of men looking at themselves in the mirrors. Particular thanks to the personal trainers Josh and James who have given me an excellent training routine.
Whilst I am often apprehensive about courses that are younger than myself (I'm pushing 30), and concerned that they will not feel mature, traditional or have any character, there are no such worries to be had at Chartham Park Golf Club.
Following two weeks of not playing and a week of course closures due to snow and frost after a cold snap, I went into my round with no expectations, and a sense of fortune and that I was just lucky to be out! Despite the fact that there were 4 temporary greens due to frost, the rest of the course was very much playable and in good condition for the time of year, especially considering the course had a layer of snow a few days prior, which still remained in a couple of shaded areas.
The course itself is a modern, resort style layout, with cart paths lining the holes for those that prefer to ride rather than walk, but at no point does the course feel so modern that it feels too man-made, gimmicky or without character, as similar courses can do far too often. With plenty of water hazards, and a fair few wooded areas, there are still hazards to swallow up your ball and help you rack up a number if you go offline!
My favourite holes were the Par 4 6th, with its tight tee shot, and tricky approach into the green; the Par 5 11th, which demands 2 long and straight shots to thread the needle and leave a decent pitch into the green; and finally the Par 3 17th, which can be added to my ever growing list of fantastic par 3 17th holes in the county (alongside Cottesmore GC and Dyke GC amongst others!).
In summary, Chartham Park is a fantastic modern facility, which oozes class, character and charm, and I look forward to returning in the summer!

The slowest golf course. Tried to give it another chance. It's just ridiculous. Give it swerve if you like a round to take less than 4 hours. The course itself is in excellent condition.
We organised a society golf day for June 19 and the course was excellent! Despite some heavy rain days before the greens were fast and true and the course in fantastic condition. We would go back without a second thought.
Absolutely excellent gym. Members and staff all polite and professional people. Loads of classes. Gym area is modern and clean and rarely have to wait for a station even at peak times. Weights area is sports-people and people looking to get fit rather than take selfies in the mirror of their rippling biceps, they all go to other (cheaper) gyms fortunately. Cafe is good standard, burgers and sandwiches all freshly made. Pool area is clean and quiet (apart from when full of children but they have dedicated "family times" and "adults only". Sauna, jacuzzi and steam room all excellent.
Decent course, well laid out with not much room either side of the fairways. The first cut off rough is a bit too long which makes it difficult to find your ball and slows down play significantly
Nice course. Fairways in god condition cosidering the dry summer. A couple of tight holes on the front 9. Clubhouse is nice. Shame the entrance is shared with the gym etc.
