We went tonight for fireworks and it was nice. The only thing I don't like is that you have to walk through all of the people outside smoking to get into the casino. I find that kind of gross

Racetrack area was barren and filthy. Cafe was out of certain beers. Only 1st and 2nd is considered placing?? Also don't go here if you're young. You will have to be carded basically every time you want to gamble. And not in any intelligent or friendly manner.

Every bike night we love enjoy the buffet! I always enjoy the variety of food and meeting fellow bikers prior to dinner!!!!

Went for brunch on a Sunday, the service was good, and a fun atmosphere. Took me two tries to find the restaurant when coming through the casino. I would suggest signs.

The food was good, but not a lit of fruit was offered, very few vegetarian options, and no gluten free options. Being gluten free I had to be very careful on what I had to eat (I can guarantee that cross contamination was happening). For someone with out allergies, who eats a standard North American diet I think the buffet would be great.

The casino was very hot and dry. I left early as it was not enjoyable to stay in such a warm environment (I should note that it was Winter, and I did check my coat).

There is a coat check offered, but I would recommend more organization. When I was leaving they lost a man's coat, and it took them a while to find mine.

Lots of people and to many renovations. But fun as usual. Time for change can not wait to see the out come of the renovations. Thank You!

This Casino has it all. Might not be a huge place right now until the new expenssion comes in. But if you love to gamble this casino in Ottawa has it all even more fun when you watch the horse race. Even have a amazing buffet but. Will soon be closing by 2019 I think replace by hard Rock Cafe. Overall great time to spend if you want to gamble.

We go there from time to time because it is close by and the buffet is reasonably priced on weekdays at $11.99 with a purchase of a drink. It was ok when we went a couple of weeks ago. We decided to go back tonight. As we went in, we noticed they have increased the price to $19.99 per person and called it the 'Harvest Buffet". The only thing they harvested was our money. The buffet was horrible. The same items as the regular buffet, possibly with less variety. We feel the quality of the food wasn't as good as before, things were dry, chewy, and over cooked. Should have stayed home and made instant noodles.

I like the fact that they have a restaurant here that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner specials.

Wish they still had the older slots like Survivor, the Hangover and the Wizard of Oz.

The slot machine and gambling area is much improved however the restaurant may have a new name, but it's a very sad place, and the food is horrid but it is a buffet, so, it's a bad place to start. Add to that the price of the buffet, and well... it's no Vegas. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the gambling area improvements if the restuarant rated a single star the total would be 7.

No free drinks bar as in all other casinos. Should be like in other casinos: juice, liqueurs, tea, coffee. It's a real shame not to provide a free bar like anywhere else. The employees go with their cart and we feel obliged to pay them otherwise they face enragee. Most of the time we have to look for them to have a drink. Not a good service. ***** You should go visit Lake Lemay Casino, or Miles Island Casino or others to see the difference, surely you could attract more guests and satisfaction guaranteed.

Love the track, and betting on the horses. There is a casino and bingo. Dining room is fabulous.. Food by track is decent but pricey for what it is... The poutine was awesome..

Great meal at the buffet, then some gambling, a long night at first, then a lucky pay off at the end.

Went there on a Wednesday (1st time) for their senior buffet discount. Needed card....zowee what a line to get card and what a line at the buffet.
Buffet was so-so. Glad I only paid $7.50 ( not worth the $15.00). Will go when they have racing next time, hopefully it will be better. Slots were as usual for these places.

We went for the Victoria day fireworks. They were fantastic. So much parking. Very convenient to get to and didn't have to worry about the fact that we had kids with us. there was picnic benches to sit on to watch the fireworks by the race track. It wasn't crowded at all. Highly recommended over any other fireworks in the city. I guess the music could have been louder because you could barely hear it over the fireworks. This was after the casino has been bought out by hard Rock but hasn't been changed to a hard Rock casino yet. Excited to see what happens after the massive renos planned!

Dance floor area not set up properly, music is painful to the hears if your sitting too close. It's almost like it would need to at a lower level to barricade the sound.

Get pop machine and coffee stations, its so annoying to need to run after the 2 carts.

They did not allow my son entry to the buffet on Saturday at 11 am.... Didn't realize this was for degenerates only.... never going back.

It is very sad that Hard Rock has taking away the few family things that were in place. We loved taking our grandson to the cruise nights, and going for the buffet. But the restaurant is no long open to minors. I really wish Hard Rock would leave.

Grabs legs was really not good ,very small also.
I paid $3 for a glass of soda water and an other $3 for a coffee.
Forget this place if you want to eat crab legs.

Friendly staff, humongous place so no over crowding.

Loved all decorations for Christmas, food was good at the cafe. I have a food allergic and they made me a fresh salad no issues. Was fun watching my daughter play poker.

All around a disappointing dining experience.
All the staff seems like they hated their jobs and acted accordingly. Most had a bored, irritated look on their face.
Food on the buffet was cold and very little selection. It was supposed to be pasta night and they had no tomatoes sauce and the only pasta was half cooked, cold, fettuccini soaked in oil or seafood spaghetti.
Dessert was even more disappointing with bland flavour and limited selection.
Save your money and go to McDonalds where at least you know what you're getting into and the food will be hotter.

For the Saturday seafood & prime rib buffet worth every penny. Good selection good service. Much better food now that Hard Rock has taken over.

When I went to get the $10 I won from my Crossword Deluxe, I got an extra free $15 I could spend at the casino, I knew it was some sort of motivation to get me to play more games at the casino But it's free money. So yeah I do plan on coming back to spend that!

Great selection of slots. The layout is more user friendly than the other nearby casino.

Harness racing very exciting and fun. Loose slots. Great food. Freindly service.

Great buffet overlooking the horse track. Great service staff. Families are allowed on Sundays through the family entrance.

While there are some decent meal deals to be had (all you can eat crab or lobster) the buffet prices would require you to eat way more than most humans need to break even. The food *is* above average and there is decent choice, but it's not amazing. The staff are super helpful and quite friendly. It's hard to describe but the overall feeling is that it's missing a bit of polish. This place is really good for groups or people who like to consume 3000 calories for brunch ;)

For me, the casino is far too depressing to walk through... the soulless stares of the geriatrics slowly pumping their life savings into digital black holes isn't my idea of entertainment.

They have made some great changes lately! We had a fantastic time!

It really has gone down hill.. I'm generally happy to just have all the bacon and eggs I can eat but even that wasn't great. Eggs weren't cooked and the bacon was old and dried out.. still had two plates :) but I can't say I'll hurry back..

I'm not a big fan of casinos due to sound issues but it is nice inside. The buffet was good, but not stellar. The casino is in transition to the Hard Rock label, so there will be growing pains, and I'm giving that a fudge factor. I'll be back sometime in the new year and I'll adjust this score then.

OKAY WELL since Google hasn't yes made it possible to write two reviews on the same place I have to delete my old review to write this one.
The first time was a bit of a disappointment I'm not going to lie but visiting for the second time this past Saturday we were absolutely shocked by the change and we absolutely loved it. I was aware of the fact that they were doing renovations the first time we went there but even being aware didn't prepare me for what we saw. Amazing job! The place looks fantastic it's alive again LOL now to get to the food we went there this time for the Buffett since my girlfriend loves seafood and their seafood buffet is famous across town and well they have the right to be damn it was delicious! The quality of the food makea up For the fact that it's 30 bucks a person honestly was worth it. On saturday nights they are more focused on seafood but the other foods that they have like ribs and roast beef we're good as well. obviously the tracks have not opened yet so we were staring at the racetrack full of snow but once that thing opens up it's going to be an amazing atmosphere and although it was packed it wasn't a bad busy where people are ruder getting each other's way it was a very good flow of people. all in all an amazing night if only we would have won in the casino that would have just made it epic haha southern review when some three stars last time to a full five this time :-)

Really cool place! I was there with my brother and father for my first time on June 29, and I loved it. Really cool environment and what a rush when you place a bet and then cheer as you watch them run. The buffet was good quality, not a crazy amount of food choices (there was a lot of food choices but for some reason I anticipated much more food choices) but what was there was delicious. Even though it was a rainy night, I had a great time learning about it and experiencing it. I will definitely return with some friends. Do recommend.

Since it's been sold to Hard Rock Cafe, it's been lose, lose, lose.

I absolutely loved going to see Glam they were amazing they kept everybody up and dancing then we went inside and saw Ambush another amazing country band I will be back over and over again

Very tasty lunchtime buffet; lots of choice .. with the exception of dessert. Followed up by making a donation to the coffers of the OLG.

Great buffet and a car and motorcycle show in the parking lot. No ponies that nite, but the slots were busy.

Completely renovated, now has table games, live music, and a noodle bar
