The food has improved and the interior has been updated.

Terrible place to go. Just save your money people. Go there and never win !! Food is great but pricey. Time to find a place to go where I can at least win a bit more than I spend. Bye bye Hard Rock.

If you want to go gamble in Ottawa this is the place to go. I personally did not enjoy myself partly because of the smokers and it just overall felt stuffy to me. Outside of that they had plenty of games and things to do

I go to have some fun. I never get serious with gambling. I know my limit. Good food, and nice atmosphere.

Makes for a good night out whether it's out at the casino or betting on the horses

Place is looking good... Lots of changes since the last time I was in.. Hard Rock coming soon can't wait to see

For a Hard Rock branded casino, I expect more. Not enough newer slot games, never enough staff at the rewards desk during peak times, and the buffet is absolutely atrocious. There's a reason why people are still going to Lac Leamy, it's a much better experience.

Ok place. Parking during special events is not very organized.

very tasty food in buffet, if you feel hungry after playing in the casino, you can visit the buffet. they offer family-friendly days in which children are permitted in the buffet. (there is a side entrance for families) those days are sunday and thursday, breakfast and dinner. on those days, this place hosts horse races in which you can watch and bet on which one will win. overall a well-managed casino with family-flexible days.

Entrance is now much appealing than 4-5 months ago. Interior is also renovated but still does not have the same as the one across the river

Bad customer service and does not speak a French word to the customer.

Was like a time warp back to the 50's where the ambience was futuristic but in this modern day it is beyond out dated. Well over due for a facelift! Can't wait to see what the Hard Rock Casino bring to our beautiful city.

Went for the Easter brunch but found the food to be pretty disappointing

Terrible food - do not go there for the brunch buffet. I guess if you like losing your hard-earned savings this would be a great place to go. Don't waste your time.

We've always enjoyed our time at the casino Rideau Carleton, they do have wonderful staff, good food and it's enjoyable spending time there. However, lately they must have altered the slot machines as they just don't pay out anymore... we've been there over the past couple of weeks and very poor payouts.. or even none to speak of! This takes the pleasure out of going to play slots when there doesn't seem to be any payoffs. We have now changed to a different casino and will not be going to RC .

Wow...if you have been to Lac Leamy or Vegas don't bother going here! It's right out of the 80s, it's a solid pass. Make the short drive to Hull.

Seafood buffet was worth the $50 beer, tax and tip included

I just went to the race horse part on a Sunday night and not for the buffet or the casino. It was great to hang outside and see the race up close. It is so much fun trying to understand what horses to bet on and you don't need to spend allot of money. $2 bets are all you need. I would recommend doing this for any one wanting a fun night and not necessarily spending allot of money.

Trashy is the only word i can think of. I go to the Casino 1-2 a year with a friend with a decent budget(100s of $, make a long fun night out of it). Having heard that Rideau finally added playing tables, i decided to go give them another shot. Sure enough not only were the players trashy (it's somewhat expected in a casino with the 'addicts'...but still , this was way lower normal standards). The staff at the table(not the managers behind) were trashy too. They way they spoke and interacted was just sad. I left earlier and didn't play my full 'budget' the place was awkward, low budget and very 'amateur' type feel. I live 8min drive from the place, but i'll drive the extra 30min and stick with Hull Casino from now on.

also got food poisoning from the buffet some years ago when i first tried it.

Great place...when I walked in I put a $20 in the blazing 777 walked out with the progressive jackpot

Not impressed that prices for breakfast jumped 8 bucks, yet the breakfast is still the same. I won't be going back anyome soon!

Not bad of a casino ...would be 5 times better if we walked away more than we arrived with..but that's casino life win some you lose some

Hard Rock is doing a decent job upgrading the dumpy old Casino. We had the buffet for dinner. Nothing spectacular, but good food and lots of it.

I put a one star cause the cooks dont know how to Cook a Hamburger it was RAW blood leaking out. This the second time I eat in this place once downstaires I got Raw Chicken and now at the BBQ I got a RAW Hamburger. This place is Gross I Would NOT Recommend this place.

Great place for a low key evening . Disappointed a small a non smoker the area closest to the smoking door needs more ventilation other than that if u out manage to keep the flies out that would help too

Casino is improving with the renovations and new tables but music is way too loud. At 3 pm in the afternoon, it was so incredibly loud you could not speak with people you were gambling with and when i left had an headache like i was leaving a night club.

Yearly outing for the fair, plenty of parking and kids always have a blast

Wow this was great! The food in the restaurant was amazing! Yum! I got to play the slots on a 20$ gift voucher from the casino itself, that was pretty cool. Everyone there was really friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience to a newbie at a casino.

It was a nice night out with a friend who goes in honer of her late husband

We ordered breakfast n they gave it the people that came after us, should have took a percentage off.
