Couldn t decide what I wanted because I loved everything they had on the menu. Had their duck two ways and Hungarian Roast Chicken. Both were excellent. As we walked out, I noticed they were writing their dinner specials on the wall. Suffice to say, I wanted to stay for dinner. Great energy from the kitchen made it fun for mom and dad, but also for our 2 year old as she eagerly anticipated chef announce service after the meticulous completion of every plate!

Wonderful venue for a relaxed dinner. Delicious seasonal food, great ambiance and excellent service. The kitchen and wait staff all went out of their way to accomodate my dietary restrictions.

The food here almost brought tears to my eyes it was so good. I'm not kidding. My boyfriend and I went there last night for our anniversary and sat at the chef's table. The back of house definitely runs this place, it's amazing to see these cooks work as such a well oiled machine, timing of each dish was perfect, food never sat in the window for longer than 10 seconds, the servers are genuinely happy and hospitable, and why not? It doesn't get better than serving food you know for an absolute fact will be loved. The chef came and spoke to us and took an order but we didn't realize who he was until later because he's so incredibly young I thought for sure he must be the sous chef. I'm in awe of the sheer genius and professionalism of this superstar chef.
We started with the peking duck pancakes, and from the second it hit my palet I knew this is about as good as it gets, we followed that up with the popular polenta fries, seriously delicious, I was skeptical of this dish but ended up loving the texture and now it all makes perfect sense. We shared our entrees of braised beef ravioli and the honey glazed duck. Could have skipped dessert, flavours were interesting but not something I'd have again. The biggest complaint I have is that I couldn't let the experience last long enough since we were sharing I had to make sure I ate quickly enough to not let my boyfriend have it all! The textures and flavours in both meals were just an outstanding sensory experience that left me with a burning need to try every other item on the menu, we will be back very soon with friends!
On top of all that, this place doesn't break the bank, the value for quality is outstanding. Not saying it isn't pricey, just not overpriced and well worth it if it's a splurge for a special occasion or if you can afford eating out regularly.

Good restaurant but really nothing special. Food was good, not great (tried several dishes). Service was very good and friendly. Atmosphere and decor was ok; didn't have much character and wasn't particularly nice. Good location. Prices were high, and therefore not very good value. Will not return.

I absolutely love Richmond Station! I've been on multiple occasions and have never been disappointed. Their menu is much smaller now as they've just started opening up again but the items they do have were all amazing. I tried the scallops and even though I'm not the biggest fan of curry usually, the flavour was amazing and I loved the dish. My family had the meatballs, pierogies, and burger and everyone was very pleased. The service was also amazing and the staff are very knowledgeable. I highly recommend :)

The cavatelli with a hen of the woods mushrooms was fabulous. They also were doing beautiful bottle cocktails I got the milk punch. If you've never had milk punch I highly suggest you try it. It sounds really strange but they are such delicious cocktails and I love how they're clear yet have a certain roundness to them on account of the milk.

Best burger I've eaten, and the service is excellent.
Prices aren't that expensive for the quality and food you get.
Highly recommend it!

Small and unassuming restaurant but the food is fantastic. Had the caesar salad which was amazing. For the main I had the lobster and spaghetti with a sauce so good I wanted to lick the bowl. For desert the peach bread pudding with scoop of ice cream was a great finish to an excellent meal. Highly recommended.

Absolutely, hands down, the best food and best service we have ever had.
We have been to Richmond station few times and I cannot reccomend this place enough.
The tasting menu is your best bet, you will have a 2 or 2.5 hours of an amazing food experience... p.s. it is a LOT of food and definetely worth the price.
The service is always phenomenal, Me and my boyfriend can't wait for our next visit.

The service and quality of this establishment is beyond reproach. Kas, Diane, Sara and the rest of the staff went above and beyond and made sure our corporate event went as smoothly and anyone could possible expect. There is no place in Toronto that provides this level of experience or attention to detail. 100 people in at one event is alot for any restaurant to deal with and I will say without a doubt that not one person in attendance went home without a smile. If I could give more than five stars I would. GO THERE!

The guys are still producing amazing food even through this pandemic! Making sure everything is safe and sanitary for both the staff and customers. Big ups to these guys!

Absolutely amazing

I tend to go here every once in a while and I am never disappointed! Food is awesome, staff are both awesome and friendly and I get to sit by the pass every time I eat there. My two fav foods there would have to be the Station Burger which is legit the best burger I've had in my life and the Pate en Croute.

The food was amazing. It was very down to earth, and the staff were very knowledgeable. The tartar was fantastic, not too much filler, very pure. I can highly recommend the charcuterie and the cheese board. The duck was excellent, very well cooked. The rabbit is also very good. The best part of all was the desert special at the moment: it was an olive oil creme brule with a lemon meringue sorbet. It was absolutely phenomenal.

Look for the golden circle along Richmond close to Yonge and you know you've arrived at Richmond station. Their digs are modern yet quaint and their burger is rated in the top 10 in the city. Friendly service.

The burger is done medium rare which is just perfect as it maintains its juiciness and you really get to taste the quality if the beef. Almost like a tartare but in a bun with a side of excellent fries. Popular place so recommend making reservations way in advance.

Nice, cozy and modern restaurant, was searching for a place for birthday celebration and got to know this restaurant. Heard the dishes are creative and tasty so gave it a try.

Ordered fresh raw oysters as starter, and lobster spaghetti, roasted black cod as mains. Oysters were fresh and saucy, paired with special sauces they provided and it really intrigued my appetise. For mains, they both were creamy with sauces at the bottom, broth was Tom yum for the cod and it's a bit too salty; cod was rightfully roasted in time making it soft and warm inside while maintaining crispiness outside. Unfortunately the dish only had cod and small portion of radish noodle and veggies. For me portion was too small for a main dish. Spaghetti was also done well, but lobster meats were again small portion.

Service was on point, although the waiter did not come often to us.

Not bad for a try, but for me I would probably not go again as their portions are too small and a bit too salty.

I scheduled the dinner for a Thursday evening and specifically requested to sit at the chef's table. I told the restaurant that this was a birthday dinner, and they confirmed that they would be adding a candle to the dessert.

The day of the dinner:

My guest arrived first because I was stuck in traffic, and when I walked in late, it was great to see how excited he looked to be sitting by the kitchen. My friend is a fantastic cook, and I knew that front row seats to the action would make him happy - and I was right!
My friend had already ordered a drink, and seemed to have been well taken care of.

Immediately after I sat down our waitress introduced herself and gave us a breakdown of what to expect that evening. Again, my friend looked excited and a tad confused because he had no idea what was happening (hehe!). "Where is the menu?" his confused look said.

The food:

OH.MY.GOD! 9 courses! And as we had each course, we thought to ourselves, "there is no way anything can taste better than this!" WRONG! The food just kept getting better and better! The sequence of the dishes were perfectly timed and chosen - we started with oysters, followed by a scallop ceviche, charcuterie board, 2 salads, salmon & gnocchi, ravioli, venison and 2 desserts.

The only dishes I was not a fan of were the desserts. They were tasty, but by that point we got our desserts, I was so full, and extremely pleased with the meal, that not loving the desserts was not a big deal. However, my guest loved the desserts, and ultimately the dinner was for him, so yeh! And, they did not forget the candle!

Service:

We had several waiters check-in on us, and bring the food out. And every one of them was friendly, professional, and well versed on the food and menu. My friend always has tons of questions about the food and ingredients, and they were more than happy to answer them all. Personally, I would not have been that patient!

Would we return?

HELL YES! To this day we can't stop talking about this meal. And this dinner happened in July! We had nothing negative to say about the food (except my dislike of the desserts - though I am in the minority), and when we dine out now, most meals pale in comparison to the food we had at Richmond Station.

Though we are eager to return, I am worried that if we return, and the meal is not as spectacular as the one we had in July, that it could tarnish the amazing memories we made during our first time here. So we have decided that Richmond Station will be the restaurant we will return to for only special occasions. Plus, after having the tasting menu, we can't see ourselves ordering from the regular menu. A lot of the fun was not knowing what we would be trying next.

Highlights:

* Amazing service
* Talented chefs
* Watching the staff put together incredible meals with skill and precision and not realizing that they were putting together our dishes! *A lot of our dishes were put together behind the scenes and this was done to keep us in suspense. But on occasion, the dishes were put together in front of us, but we never knew it was for us until they walked it to our table. Once during the dinner I turned to my friend and noted how amazing the dish one chef was putting together looked, and seconds later the chef walked over to us with the dish I had been eyeing with awe.
* The price - $70 per person (I personally thought this was an amazing deal when taking into account the quality, freshness, portion size, and skill that went into every dish - plus, the food was freaking DELICIOUS!)
* At the end of the meal we received the bill with a couple pieces of chocolates/brownies. But I was so full, that I could not eat another bite. In jest I told our waitress how I wish I could take the chocolates home with me, and seconds later she returned with a plastic container filled with these chocolates! Love her!

In sum:

GO! Make a reservation today! You will not be disappointed! My experience here is one I will never forget.

I really liked this place. It s a shame the owner is so money hungry when the menu is already expensive and portions small. I ll never come here again, a forced 18% upcharge? This is a rip off to the hardworking staff and customers. More money in the owners pockets, less in the waitstaff, hope they can find a better place of employment. I ll be surprised if they make it out alive, considering more people than ever can t afford to eat out for the foreseeable future.

Jon is the dreamiest server in Toronto, and maybe in the world. There s also the Pastry Queen in the back that makes the best desserts I ve ever had (and I hate sugar). Don t mess about- order the burger! Pure bliss.

I had heard about this place after watching Top Chef Canada and have been wanting to try it. I was wavering between the Station Burger and the Duck 2 Ways, but opted for the famous burger in the end.

It looks small when it comes, but it is a loaded burger made with a cheesy, flavourful, medium-rare short rib patty (locally sourced). Definitely worth trying!

I have heard great things about the duck as well, so I will give that a try next time I am back. Overall, a restaurant committed to quality ingredients (and wine), and wonderful service.

Amazing meal! Fantastic and friendly staff. This is my favourite restaurant in Toronto. The oysters were amazing, the burger is delicious and the desserts are fantastic. Thank you for a great evening!

Delicious food all around with some fantastic food combinations. All of the food we had with our meal was amazing, from the appetizers to the main meal!

Many people were ordering the burger, so I definitely want to try that WHEN I go back!

You also get some tiny fudge cubes on the house at the end of your meal that were incredible!

We had a wonderful experience eating at the chef's table, where we had an unobstructed view of the kitchen. Every dish that cleared the pass was immaculately prepared. The kitchen clearly works well together and maintains the highest standards.

We started by sharing the beef tartare and chicken fried oyster mushrooms, then moved on to duck two ways and rabbit three ways. Each dish was delicious, yet together they were somehow more than the sum of their parts.

Our meal was perfectly complimented by a nice bottle of Malbec from the extensive wine list.

Alice, our server, had a great working knowledge of the menu and provided the perfect level of attentive service. Front and back of house are both obviously passionate about food.

Based on word of mouth, I had extremely high expectations for Richmond Station. They were well exceeded. I can't wait to return.

Pros:

Pros:

Good food and average service

Cons:
limited seating, limited reservations (usually don't take walk-ins), parking impossible

The server very nice and a lot of chatting. Our dishes arrived quickly. The prices are expensive considering that the dishes have no accompaniment (example: burger without fries). Fortunately, the prices displayed include tips. The terrace is pleasant but so noisy with the vehicles passing in the street at high speed.

Should have had the burger. We ordered the beef duo special which was good except the steak was not a great cut and chewy. The brisket was delicious. Their perogies were very disappointing and too small a portion for a veggie meal.

Small but amazing restaurant. The tables near the kitchen are cool and the food is incredible. I highly recommend the burger. Take your waiter s advice and get it rare. I was skeptical, but it was the best burger I ve ever had.

Opted for the cheff's menu. Everything tasted pretty good. Unripe cantaloupe wrapped in cucumber dish was a little off. Good for lunch, not for a dinner date. Plating should be better for carte blanche dinner.

Took my friend here for his birthday. It was incredible. The service surpassed expectations and the food was incredible. My friend has been here before but they do many menu alterations which keeps things interesting and fun. We sat at the chefs table and got to spend our time watching the Chefs prepare meals (very unqiue experience if you are a foody). Food is not over priced but the cocktails are very expensive ($15-$17). The food portions were fanastic and although the drinks were expensive, they were outstanding. It is a comfortable atmosphere and leans more toward the "smart casual" dress code. Would definately go again!
