Sometimes images describe a million words, and this is definitely one of them. House was damaged in storm and insurance gave me 4-5 extended stay hotels to choose from. Based on other reviews focused on hospitality,, I decided on Residence Inn. Every day while the house is being repaired, I'm delighted to come back because their staff is wonderful and service is excellent. After a long day at work, coming back to a goody bag for my dog (2 weeks in, mind you) absolutely made my week.

My family is staying at the hotel now, and it's ok. Room is great. Nice 2 bedroom suite for a good price. They could offer more channels, but I can manage with the limkted for a short period of time. Their biggest and most important downfall, is the hot breakfast. Only vegetarian meat. My family eats real meat. This veggie sausage crud is for the birds; tastes bad. Get some real meat on the breakfast buffet and it would be great.

Lovely suite, by the pool. We had a big cookout with friends at the patio. Loved our room, cute kitchen and felt like home, but new mattresses are needed. It was a little hard. Otherwise, no complaints! Would definately stay there again.

My wife and I have came here before and the room and service was great but this time it wasn t. In my room the toilet wouldn t flush, the towel hanger in the bathroom was broken, there were bugs crawling around the room floor, the bed sheets smelled bad, there were stains on the towels, the bed hurts your back, and other things. I was shocked at what I saw. Hopefully others had a better time than we did. Not coming back here for sure.

The service was good and the room was very nice. The food was average, but I'm not going to gripe since it is a free offering.

About the only thing I did not appreciate was the internet access and speed. I am a "Gold" member with Marriott hotels, so I get the "high speed" access for free -- it is $5.00 per day for everyone else. My co-worker logged onto the "free" WiFi and I logged onto the paid "high speed" WiFi. The "free" WiFi was TEN TIMES FASTER than the "paid" version. The only decent thing about the "paid" WiFi is that it was at least consistent. It turns out, as all the business people are getting to the hotel and using the free internet -- it slows down for everyone. The "paid" internet I was on remained the same no matter what time of day or night. The speeds were NOT good at all, but at least they were consistent. I eventually turned the WiFi off on my iPhone and just used over-the-air cellular data... and it blew the hotel WiFi out of the water.

The hotel has a nice courtyard area in the center, between the various buildings, with several sets of grouped chairs. We were able to hang out during the cool Dallas evenings and enjoy some conversations with co-workers.

The pool looked good, and several families and other people were utilizing it and seemed to be having a great time.

They have plenty of parking and the hotel is easy access to the highway and a lot of shops, restaurants, and businesses. It's a good location.

So, poor WiFi aside... it was a good experience and a very nice stay. I would definitely book here again over any of the other hotels I've been to in that area. The Residence Inn simply seemed cleaner, newer, and generally nicer and more comfortable for me.

Terrible management. They can be incredibly rude & disrespectful. Made my wife cry several times while we were there. The key cards hardly ever work. My vehicle was broken into. The front desk called our room @ nearly 1AM, & woke up my entire family, to ask why we needed so many blankets (we never asked for blankets). The fire alarm went off several times for no reason. The mosquitoes are horrendous. The refrigerator had to be replaced bc it stunk up the entire suite. Overall the absolute WORST experience I have ever had at any hotel, EVER. The way the General Manager "handled" the situations only insured that my family & I will NEVER stay @ a Marriott property again! Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere but here.

The rooms are very convenient for a family. It's quite big with very nice kitchen and stuff.
The pool is small and next to the parking which is a disadvantage from my point of view.
The breakfast is American standard, nothing special.
Nevertheless I would recommend this hotel for families.

The front desk clerk was super nice and friendly. The hotel though is old and outdated. Had a strange smell in the hallway and my room also had a musty smell. They gave me a corner room which was very big and spacious. I loved the working fireplace and even though it was 60 degrees outside, I still used and enjoyed it very much. Not sure if that is enough to have me stay there again when there are several newer updated Marriott's within a 5 mile radius. Also, I wouldn't be guaranteed a room with a fireplace again. If they do a remodel I would totally give it another try.

I really enjoyed this hotel. The location is great for anyone going to work at Samsung, for example. The rooms are residence style, with a full kitchen. From Monday to Thursday they offer "Social Hour", similar to a happy hour. Very good. I recommend it to anyone going to work.

Not bad breakfast. It is quiet and comfortable without any inconvenience. There was a laundry room in the building, but there was a gym and a swimming pool. There was also a grill in the outdoors and a chair and a table in the outdoors. The room had a large refrigerator, dishwasher and oven, and each room had a TV. I think the option is also good at cheap price and it is the best.

Same as other hotels in this area - it's clean and the people are friendly, it's just in the middle of nowhere. There are great benefits to staying here - lots of food options (they provide meals and snacks, if you'd like) and you usually have your own kitchenette anyway.

This Residence Inn is a bit out of date, the bedroom door in my double room suite was not able to close.

It was hidden in the back of other buildings next to the freeway, so that help to keep the noise out.

I still am in shock over the horrible experience I had with this hotel. During the winter storm this past week, like many others, I placed a reservation to stay at the hotel with husband and our infant daughter. I received the confirmation that my reservation was guaranteed. The day of check in, we drive across town in ice and snow in hopes to get some warmth for our daughter. I show up to the front desk to check in, and was very rudely informed by the concierge that my reservation was not valid!

I politely asked how could that have happened, and was told that their system went down overnight, so they started allowing walk-ins, and that there was no room for us. Mind you, I did NOT BOOK the reservation during the time she told me the system was down. I booked it afterwards. I asked her why I wasn't contacted about the situation, and was told (rudely and without empathy) "well we didn't know who to contact, our system was down for a few hours." Again, keep in mind that I did not book the reservation during the outage that they experienced. She was not in the least bit apologetic, and I couldn't believe that they did not communicate a booking error after we drove an hour across town. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone at all!!

I was in Dallas for a wedding reception with my family and had brought wedding gifts with me but didn't get a chance to wrap them before I got there. When I got to the hotel, I barely had time to get myself ready before the reception, let alone find a place that sold gift bags or wrapping paper, so I went down to the front desk to see if they had anything I could use to wrap the gifts. They had a little bit of paper and some shipping boxes and offered to wrap the gifts for me while I got everything else ready. I also managed to lock myself out of my room in the mean time. They let me into my room and wrapped the gifts much better than I would have ever been able to do. The room was what I would expect from a Residence Inn: comfortable and clean, but the service was outstanding. I couldn't have been happier.

I am a travel nurse and stayed there for 3 months. Everything was great except house cleaning. I had to call often to ask if house cleaning can clean toilet and tub and mirrors. It was always an issue that became quite annoying. It s like they wouldn t clean it unless guest asked but didn t make sense because that was part of the cleaning service. Also one night found a roach on the floor crawling. Called front desk who apologized profusely and had someone come up right away and took care of it. Other than those issues no problem

I have to give them two starts! Let me start off saying we were greeted with a warm and genuine greeting from a young Hispanic man. I forgot his name but he was so attentive in our needs and explaining everything to us. He told us about the local restaurants and they had food next door at the Courtyard hotel. I was disappointed that they didn't have a small restaurant in this hotel. They do have a complimentary breakfast. Now as we went to our room that was located in the next building. I open the door and the room was very nice it had some great updates and a stove top to cook on. Now let's get to the not so nice things that accumulate throughout the night. My daughter became very ill out the blue no temp but she broke out in welts. I was awoken to her saying momma I can't stop itching and my throat hurts. We left and we to pick her up an antihistamine medication. Upon coming back to the room we see two cats walking down the hall! No one told us this was a pet-friendly hotel! My daughter is highly allergic to cat. I told the lady at the front desk and she saw how my daughter looked she act like she was not concerned at all! So we packed our bags and left this hotel! I'm so upset that we were not told or asked if we wanted to move to a new building. We stayed at another hotel that was understanding of her condition. By the way, we drove 10 hours to have this happened on a day we were Burying her Uncle!

We loved our stay! Our bed was comfortable, all the rooms were very clean, and the complimentary breakfast was great. They had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fresh fruits, and cereal. The location of the hotel was right off the interstate so it made it very convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Just ok. They asked me if a first floor, high traffic room was ok..... When I said no, they moved me to a high traffic room on the second floor.

And the room didn't have an iron or hair dryer. It's like they're actively trying not to have repeat business

The front desk staff was wonderful and friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet with more amenities and features than expected. Beautifully decirated, modern features. the breakfast buffet was amazing, and so much more outstanding than any other place weve been to. Instead of just standard waffles they offered fruit topping with whipped cream and powdered sugar, chocolate chip s and syrups in a variety of flavors.
The area was secluded and in a business park kinda out of the way but we'll worth it.

The suite was great. The breakfast was good, but not fancy. No problems. Pleasant stay. The location is a little less than optimal being set back from main roads, in that it took me more time than usual to get my bearings when driving to different places.

I found so many issues with my room. It's so old and dingy. Not what you would expect from a Residence Inn. I ended up checking out early and moving to another residence inn because it was that bad.

Child & pet friendly, but beware* They will ask you to sign a pet agreement that if your pets soil or damage to the room... they will charge you $150.00 Pet Free. Mine didn't and I was still charged what they call a $150.00 Pet Cleaning fee that they said they charge All Pet owners! * We were not advised of that in advance! Free full breakfast M-F & Free dinner and wine/beer Monday-Wed.
EXTREMELY Disappointed in the housekeepers...they don't speak or read English. Not once were they able to meet my needs reguarding my bed being made...long story short...I had a body pillow and extra pillows due to musculature movement disorder...I spoke with them, left notes...I just wanted them to Leave or put back my body pillow the way I had it (on the bed and below other pillows, it's very heavy for me and sometimes it wouldn't even be on the bed. I didn't care if that meant just fix the bedding around it...no big deal...don't need to make the bed perfect...Due to my disability I can't keep fixing what they're unmaking! In 12 days I only asked for clean sheets twice...the 1st time they took my body pillow sheet that I brought from home and removed it and placed it on my mattress. Why? I have no idea! Wasn't thrilled, but didn't complain...the 2nd time, they took my same sheet from my mattress(mine) and it was missing! They did look for it and it was never found. The supervisor first told me the maid said none of that ever happened and the sheet must be in my room. I was furious! I had exhausted all searches before reporting the missing high thread count sheet that I brought from home and had placed over my very large body pillow. The communication was horrible...every time they called to discuss it, they called it a pillow, a blanket, never what it was...Anyway, they have offered to replace it...that's nice and I appreciate them. Every morning my dog would bark waking me up between 7:45-8:15 AM to what sounds like a group of woman speaking Spanish outside my door (which was next to the storage closet), on the 10th day I woke up very early and waited by the door for the loud group of woman speaking, when I heard them I opened the door to find ONE woman in an EXTREMELY loud voice speaking Spanish on her cell phone! Everyday the hallway from my door to the elevator was blocked with 2 houskeeping carts side by side, so I was unable to get past the hallway with my walker. I would call out to them, ask for help moving THEIR carts...NOTHING! That was the most miserable 12 days of our lives! The manager of the apartment complex who went out of his way to make disability accommodations for us while paying for our 12 day stay were all dismissed at check in. I was given a contact person at the hotel that the apartment complex mgr. gave me with all my needs for my disability; 1st floor, near an exit (to take service dogs in training outside to potty day & night) & handicap room. Only to be told by the hotel contact person that she "Just took the reservation and wasn't told about my needs, all they had was the room on the 2nd floor." I will NEVER reccommed this specific hotel EVER! This was our experience, hopefully yours will be better.
