The service was good and the room was very nice. The food was average, but I'm not going to gripe since it is a free offering.

About the only thing I did not appreciate was the internet access and speed. I am a "Gold" member with Marriott hotels, so I get the "high speed" access for free -- it is $5.00 per day for everyone else. My co-worker logged onto the "free" WiFi and I logged onto the paid "high speed" WiFi. The "free" WiFi was TEN TIMES FASTER than the "paid" version. The only decent thing about the "paid" WiFi is that it was at least consistent. It turns out, as all the business people are getting to the hotel and using the free internet -- it slows down for everyone. The "paid" internet I was on remained the same no matter what time of day or night. The speeds were NOT good at all, but at least they were consistent. I eventually turned the WiFi off on my iPhone and just used over-the-air cellular data... and it blew the hotel WiFi out of the water.

The hotel has a nice courtyard area in the center, between the various buildings, with several sets of grouped chairs. We were able to hang out during the cool Dallas evenings and enjoy some conversations with co-workers.

The pool looked good, and several families and other people were utilizing it and seemed to be having a great time.

They have plenty of parking and the hotel is easy access to the highway and a lot of shops, restaurants, and businesses. It's a good location.

So, poor WiFi aside... it was a good experience and a very nice stay. I would definitely book here again over any of the other hotels I've been to in that area. The Residence Inn simply seemed cleaner, newer, and generally nicer and more comfortable for me.
