We went in with a pre-approval letter from capital one. The salesmen asked if we wanted him to check other lenders to maybe find a better rate. We explicitly told him no. So guess what happened? You nailed it, they ran out credit through no fewer than 10 banks. While the car is great and I feel like we got a good deal we will never return to Ricart because of their inability to listen to their customer, and their blatant lack of ethics.

I have had several Sonatas and they have all been terrific. Ricart Hyundai and David Sasso have been awesome. I drive from Westerville to exclusively deal with them. They ard very helpful, knowledgeable and extremely professional. They work hard to keep my business. I highly recommend you go there for you next vehicle!
I test drove the Elantra Sport with Johnny Goodman a couple weeks ago and told him upfront I wasn't buying that day. He still took his time to talk to me and answer questions. I have to say I'm extremely impressed with his knowledge and attentiveness. I'm a car girl and could tell he knew his product. When we were at the table and the payment was not where I needed it to be, he remembered what I said a week ago about not needing GPS. He located a car they didn't have in the inventory, minus the GPS and at the price I needed. Thank you to Johnny and also to Nate for getting me into the car I actually wanted, without having to settle for the lesser trim.
Our salesman did everything possible to make sure that I was approved and walked out with a car the day I went in, and that was not an easy task. He made me feel comfortable and confident about all the decisions I was making. He genuinely cared about what car was best for me and what deal was most beneficial for ME. He made sure I was getting a car that was right for my situation. I am happy with the financing I was able to get. I would not have a new car if it weren't for Shane's persistence and hard work.
I drove our church's bus to Cedarville University for a youth camp called CIY Move with a broken rear AC unit. Ricart was the 11th place we called to try to get it fixed before our return trip. We had AMAZING customer service from Stacy and they got us up and running in record time to get us home in a comfortable bus. Thank you!
There management needs some customers service training on how they treat people. They judge everyone the same and poor black people who pay their bills on time don't get a chance at Ricar. It's a pity that Ohio state has to be the worse state I've ever lived and the system sicks
Absolutely horrible experience! The manager was incredibly belittling when discussing finance options and I should've taken that as a sign for how they treat their customers. I bought a car November 5th and still have not received the title information I need to get my plates, even though they are required by law to provide this within 30 days. I've called several times and keep getting transferred around and straight up lied to. My temp plates expire tomorrow so I have called every day this week to figure out where my title is. Every day they've said that they overnighted them that day. I now have to pay even more money and take time off work to go to file a complaint with the state to be able to get this resolved before my temps expire and I cant drive my car.
Do not buy a car from Ricart. Bought car 3 weeks ago. After we signed contract getting ready to leave salesman Jason Motter said by the way there is a scratch on the car. Don't worry we will get you right back in here we will give you a loaner and we will take care of it right away. After speaking to every supervisor that we were connected with still the car has not been repaired. No one knows anything. Different stories from everyone. Many many phone calls later still no results. Now what ? Ricart asked why we never bought a car from them. We remember others telling us Once the sale is final they forget about you. Exactly. That's why we will never buy another car from Ricart and we will be telling everyone we know and thousands of Facebook friends what we are STILL going through. So when are they going to take care of us and get our car repaired.
Beware if you buy a used car here. I bought a so-called certified used vehicle that had major problems right off the bat. I'm talking thousands of dollars worth of work that needed to be done after it had been certified. The six-month warranty that came with it was not worth the paper it was written on went in numerous times for the same problem never did get fixed warranty run out no more to be done by them. It has been almost a year and I'm still replacing parts that they said were fine that other dealers have told me were completely worn out telling me that they did not want to warranty the stuff that they sell. I went against my better judgement to go there should have listened to my common sense
Buying my car was a great experience but anything else from a ricart fell short of anything good. The people who work at the car wash are rude teenagers while the shop lost my car when I was having the oil changed. It took over 2 hours to do,no apology. While everyone who came in after me left before me. Waste of time and money
When my lease was up on my 2015 Genesis, I contacted Hyundai to see about having them finance it for me. To my surprise, they did not do any financing beyond their lease. I researched on my own the ability to finance it through banks and lending institutions. Was highly disappointed due to interest rates and terms available. Soon after, I contacted Aaron Andrews and told him my situation. He listened to me and without any hesitation he said, " We will see that you get whatever you want and need!" He assigned Vanni Pikus to help me. She went to work! Soon after, I had the loan I needed with better terms than I could get on my own. Paperwork was completed and I was on my 1 hour 30 min drive home. Now I have purchased my 20th car at Ricart since 1994. I will continue to do so because of their service to and for the customer. Unlike any other dealership I know. The truly amazing thing is, unfortunately I did not purchase this car at Ricart but yet they rolled out the red carpet for me once again! Love this Dealership!
Should have known going to a dealership just me and my mother would be recipe for disaster. The used car factory got me and my mother on board with a new car the day we went in there, the manager of the used car factory (Thomas Rodney) even "came in on his day off" to help us, with the promise that my trade-in was worth $1000. About 4 days after my new car is in my happy hands I get a phone call from Thomas telling us that we must pay $900 because the trade-in only worth $100 now and must come resign all the paperwork or give the car back. What a joke. Definitely wouldn't recommend to anyone. Some advice to management would definitely be to get some understanding of your business and what your employees are doing better, don't make promises on a car you didn't even take the time to research?
This was my first time having my Ford CMax serviced and every encounter with every employee, starting with the welcome center greeters to Alicia in the service department, was extremely polite and efficient and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. Beyond exceeded. Thank you, Ricart and thank you, Alicia.
I leased a brand new Mazda 2018 back in October 2018. I was surprised when they worked me out a deal so quickly especially when I wasn't expecting it. Depending whose in the line of duty of helping you makes your purchase much more easier. I will say they are not aggressive unlike other companies because everyone gets paid by the hour which is great. When I got my car it was unexpected they were working deals negotiating on my behalf. Thankful!
Got my 2018 Chevy Cruze here. With only 1500 miles on it, they gave it to me for 17k. I didn't have any credit at the time, and they worked hard finding a place that would accept the loan. They even helped out with me getting my insurance. Great place.
I have purchased my last three cars from Ricart, and take them there for service too. This visit was for routine service. I can't say enough positive things about their service department. They are fast and thorough, and I've never had any issues with their repairs or maintenance. The waiting area is comfortable, and the service advisors do a great job of keeping their customers updated. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else!
Went with a friend to buy a Nissan Rogue. Had the best deal in town. Andrew Mellen was our sales advisor, amazing guy, courteous, listens well. Steven Holsinger was our sales manager, worked with us on the price, he was funny as well.
We have bought there 4 yes ago and was satisfied. We where there yesterday to trade r 450 king ranch dually crew cab and the price they gave us for a trade was insulting , and to top it of they where way to high compared to other dealers I would recommend DON WOODS FORD IN ATHENS OHIO THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE CONNIE AND GARY
They are the worst one I saw ever I came to check cars and I had scheduled test drive and they called me !! After I came one car sold one not ready others one in service .. I'll not come back again Bad customer service !!!!!!!! Racists
The KBB trade- in value of my vehicle is $18,000+. They offered me $6,000 and my vehicle is in excellent condition and has only $41,000 miles. The vehicle that I was looking to purchase was on sale according to their website that day, but they were not honoring the sale price.
My wife had driven a rental Ford Fusion hybrid in a recent trip in North Carolina and fell in love with it. We started looking a few days ago via internet search and found 4 cars, 1 at Enterprise, 1 at Performance Dodge, and 2 at Ricart. Enterprise was $4000 higher and Performance actually did not have the car in inventory that was advertised. John Thornton worked with us and yesterday we came in, drove the vehicle and made the purchase, all in 4 hours including meeting with the finance manager. This was a flawless and almost painless transaction from beginning to end.
I had the worst experience with this group!!! Beware internet sales, don t expect prompt communication or professionalism! I had a vehicle that I was planning on purchasing and several salesman jerked me around and did not get back to me. Very disappointed and was not treated right!
Had a wonderful experience buying my first car here. Andrew was very helpful with everything! The process was relatively quick too. Definitely planning to get future vehicles here.
This was a big purchase for us and we had a great time hanging out with Nick Nader - maybe too much fun! We had researched the KONA online and thought that was what we wanted - but Nick showed us so much more and there was a ton of laughter during the test drive and demonstration. The whole process was very easy and simple starting on the phone the day before our purchase. We were greeted by multiple people who helped to make us comfortable and they had the cars we wanted to look at ready to go before we arrived. We were there about 4 hours or so - part of that was us asking questions while we were making the decision. The second part was the super and thorough customer service that Ricart offered. The finance part of the deal was actually very easy and faster than I expected. We were getting weary of the clock by the end - but the delivery checklist proved to be super important in making sure that everything was covered (like installing the Navigation chip). We have seen the commercials for years - but this was our first Ricart experience. Best price in Ohio on this car and a superior can-do but no-pressure atmosphere. We won't need another car for awhile - but we won't forget our Ricart experience when that time comes!
Bought a 2012 F150 from Ricart a little over a year ago. Bought it at a fair price for the quality of vehicle it was, bought their service warranty "Bumper to Bumper" Easy Care, and bought into the Ricart experience. The first month I had to go back several times to get the tire pressure sensors fixed. Not covered under the Easy Care. Not sure what happened, but it took five trips and me making a stink to get the problem solved. Couple months later I have a clunking sound coming from the undercarriage. Use the Easy Care towing services and am told that as long as the problem was covered under the warranty the tow was covered. Odd thing to say when you bought a "bumper to bumper". After not hearing from the service department and having to call any number I could find, the rig was fixed but not without some out of pocket expense. Take the pickup home and that day the clunking continues. I pay to have it looked at again, turns out it's a part in the 4wd, not covered under the "bumper to bumper" Easy Care Warranty. Turns out there is a list of parts that only Easy Care knows what's on and Ricart Service could care less to get to know what's on it. But in all of it, I let it go since I don't have $500 to drop into this pickup each time I go in. Doesn't affect the 4wd performance, just really annoying going down the highway. Fast forward to this last week. Started noticing a drip and spot when after I drive and park for work. Took it in cause I can see a spraying of coolant when I turn it on. They perform basic maintenance and then call me to tell me it's in excess of $400 for them to diagnose and fix my issue, as it's in a "tough" location. Turns out, that's not on the Easy Care either. I do some legal research and come to find out they sold me this "bumper to bumper" warranty under illegal/predatory practices. I called the first time to speak with a manager in customer service and I get passed around. Finally leave a message, no call back. I call again after talking to the service manager about how this is putting a terrible name on the guys who are just doing their job. Some lady in HR calls me and says that she's going to look into it. Sends me a cancellation form for the warranty, never calls to follow up. I did some research and discovered that this problem that was portrayed as uncommon and that it was going to take a while to diagnose was actually very common in all models with the V8 5.0L in it. A plastic y that get wore out over the miles. I watch a 2 minute youtube video and I know exactly how to fix it. I buy the last remaining DR3Z-8566-A off of Ricarts shelf for $64 and an O Ring for the feed side for $5. Go home and replace the thing in 25 minutes total work time and only cursed once.
Very disappointed in Ricart and their team as a whole. The only positive experience I have had was at the parts desk when I was joking with the sales guys about how ridiculous the service department is. I will never buy another vehicle from Ricart again as long as I reside anywhere that name is tied to it. Buyer beware, you will get swindled by predatory behavior. Think twice before you get swoon over their inventory, there are plenty more dealerships out there that will take care of you because you matter more to them than a sale and some diagnostics cash.
Exceeded my expectations!!! Traveled 800 miles to buy this car. Tom went above and beyond to make this work. Friendly professional dealership! They are that size for a reason!
Was roped in with an offer for a free visa gift card to get my recall serviced there. They were friendly, but that's where my good experience ends. Later not only did they give me an estimate on repairs for other things, but said repairs would have costed me a lot 563.88 to replace spark plugs a 1hour job at the most. 632.00 to mount and balance 4 new tires.? Then I got emails letters and phone calls to try and purchase my car. Look do not go to a dealership to get repairs done. Unless you are under warranty, or you drive a BMW or something that has said repairs covered for the life of your car. Ladies please don't let anyone scare you into going to a dealership. Especially Not The Dealership! I say ladies because it is a well known fact that a lot of people in the industry will try to play on your fears and take advantage of you for a sale. And everyone keep yourself well informed about what repairs should cost both high and low ends of the spectrum. End rant
After careful deliberation, vast research, and visiting multiple other pre-owned automobile establishments I found myself coming to the mega mall for the car that CarGurus had listed I was specifically interested in. The salesman (Sean) was new to Ricart, however he made sure that my wife and I were taken care of to the fullest extent. I have previously heard about the mind set that Ricart used to have, so I cautiously entered the gates not sure what to expect. Welcomed warmly as the sales guy introduced himself and asked if I needed any help, I showed him the car I was looking for and right away felt as though I was in good hands. He let me go onto the test track and didn't bat an eyelash as I 'fully" tested out the 6 speed sport I was interested in. This is the first experience I have ever been in where I had the option of choosing exactly what I wanted to drive home in, and I ended up doing just that. My final end result was an awesome ride, that I am completely obsessed with currently, given an excellent APR and even priced way under the market value for the car. Superior salesmanship from everyone that we worked with that day! Excellent ride, excellent advise on how to use this to build my credit, and excellent service. I cant wait to go in for my first free car wash too lol, in fact I think I am going to head over there right now and say hi to everybody :)
Heather Golden was the salesperson that greeted me on May 17, 2017 when I stopped at Ricart (just to look). Right away, I noticed that Heather was different; she didn't seem anxious to make a sale, which was refreshing. Instead, she was relaxed and had an air of confidence that encouraged me to "look with a purpose of making a purchase". Heather is knowledgeable about the cars, is a good listener, and makes you feel as though she is not just out to make a sale.
There were a couple of things that I wanted to have done to my old car before turning it in, which I was unable to do, since I decided to make a purchase the very same day. Fear Not! Heather took care of that; she coordinated it all with the service department. It gave me peace of mind since it was one less thing I had to deal with.
There were four options that I had with ending my lease. I chose to give the keys back to Hyundai and walk away from the lease. The process was much easier than I had anticipated it to be.
After all of the negotiations, I drove away happy!!!
I wish you could give Ricart a lower score. Every thing was fine until after the sale. I have emailed all the Ricart executives about my horrible experience with their contractor Auto Additions only to be brushed off. My car was damaged, delivered to the wrong address, property was lost, and the unprofessionalism is unbelievable. But, Ricart doesn't care because they already have my money.
Not sure yet. They haven't fixed our truck, but warranty covers issues wrong. Will update soon. They have caused mjr. grief to us in the past at one of their dealerships, as the mechanics appear to know what they are doing this time and seem to be really trying harder to make this right. To be continued...
Fast and friendly. I need new tires and received estimates for only non name brand tires. I would prefer name brand tires and wish they would have included them with the others, so I could have compare them.
When other dealerships weren t able to make a new car purchase work Ricart did. We had been all over trying to find a way to get out from under my lease when as a last attempt I decided to stop at Ricart Kia. Jeremy and Heather were able to get us into a vehicle that suited our needs and at a price point that we wanted. Heather took a great amount of time listening to our needs and showed us several different models and explained all the features. Jeremy did everything he possible could to make sure that the price was right and we were getting all the rebates we possibly could. This was our first car purchase from Ricart but definitely will not be our last. Thank you both for everything you did for us. We really appreciate it!
Our salesman came to our rescue after we were driving around not really knowing what we needed. We needed to upgrade to a vehicle with safety features and he showed us the perfect vehicle for us.
Where do I start about another horrible experience from Ricart. I swear I can't make this up. My best friend went to look for a car. He called before hand and told him what the desire payment would be. And not a dollar more. Our salesman was Greg Boytman. So me, my best friend, and fiance get there 4-13-2019 @11:45am. We didn't leave the lot until 7:30pm, without a car mind you. So the first car we look at is a 2013 Dodge Charger RT. Fully loaded. Our salesman brings us the carfax report on the car and proceeds to tell us that there is 3 recalls on the vehicle and all we had to do is take it to a dodge dealership and they would fix the issues for free. I proceeded to ask is the vehicle ok to drive with the recalls, and Greg said it's just a alternator issue, you will be fine. So we take it on the test drive, go down Williams Road to Alum Creek and jump on 270 East. As we proceed to head on to the freeway, the car shuts down. The gauges go all the way up, then down. The 8 inch screen goes black, the A/C cuts off. Mid you we are on the freeway full speed. The windshield wipers come on , gauges going haywire and now fear is setting in. The car locks up the steering wheel and we have no BRAKES! ZERO brakes!!! We are coasting down the freeway and coming up on the Hamilton road exit. Thank God it is a uphill exit. Because of that we come within inches of hitting the car in front of us. The car completely shuts down at the top of the ramp. No power or anything, we can't even put it in gear to push it off the road. So we call are salesman Greg and proceed to tell him the car broke down on the exit ramp and we can't move. And we need someone to come and get up. He asked us was we serious and if this is a joke. We have him on speaker phone and tell him this isn't a joke. We need someone to get up. And asked again if this was a joke. No sense of urgency or belief what we are telling him is truth. Until we finally get aggressive with our tone and tell him, this isn't a joke and send someone to come get us NOW! So we get back to dealership. They apologize for our near death experience. They bring us another car test. This one was able to complete a test drive. We didn't like it so we moved on to test drive a Ford Edge. We all really liked it a lot. We get back to the lot after the test drive and we tell Greg this SUV is the ONE. We go back inside and proceed to get the numbers to work. Mind you we told him $400 a month was out limit. Nothing more, it was non negotiable with the $400 a month. Well of course he comes back with a $485 a month term and $500 down, smh! We tell him that's not acceptable. He says why not, it's a nice SUV. Then immediately he says what about $450 a month lol just like that it dropped $35 a month. We tell him no way, we ask can we get a discount for our near death experience in their car on the freeway. They laugh at that statement like it was a joke. Mind you we didn't think anything was funny. So after back and forth about the $450 payment we ask can they just fix the Dodge Charger and gives a extended warranty and we would buy that car. We really really liked that car. They said they would do that for us and they got the payments where we needed it. Perfect, done deal right?? Nope!! Then they asked us if we would put the $500 down on the car to hold it. I ask him why would we put $500 down on a car that isn't running or working? He looked me dead in the eye and said to hold it. Like that made sense. I asked him again, "for a car thats not working'? I let him know that would be foolish to put money down on a car that isn't fixed yet nor is it guarantee it would get fixed. Greg assured us by Wednesday it would be fixed, Friday at the latest lol Once we told him we're not putting money down until we test drove it again and it was fixed. Next thing I know Greg said well how about you sign the financial paperwork that you are purchasing the car. We told him it would be absurd to sign a deal of a non working vehicle. He told us after its fix the public could buy it(bullying us)! BUYER BEWARE!!
My reason for this review is because these boys truly earned it. They made me feel welcome and apart of the family at Ricart. Daniel and Austin were more then kind and caring while I was trying to figure out what I wanted in a new car. We had some craziness during the process but they were completely understandable and kept telling me everything was going to be fine. They made sure I was buying the right car for me and made sure I knew what I wanted before we sealed the deal. If I had to choose anyone to help myself or anyone I know buy a car it would be them. With their help that day I got a brand new car that I'm completely in love with. I couldn't possibly thank these men enough. If I was asked by anyone where they should buy a car it would definitely be Ricart. But most importantly I would recommend these men to help them. You guys are excellent workers and sales men. Thank you for making my experience worth it and making me feel like a part of the Ricart family
DO NOT DESERVES A SINGLE STAR! But Google will not post unless you put at least one. All I can say is the worse experience in buying car ever! Bunch of A-holes who thinks they can swindle everyone that comes to their place. Bunch of greasy unprofessional hairballs. I never -EVER recommend anyone to go here. Sales Managers are so unprofessional, LIARS! And if you come here and meet this guys to buy your car, then be ready to get jack by these no good, dirty than dirt A-holes!
Rick was great to work with and everyone there was super nice and fun to work with. Ricart is the best dealership i have done business with. Jerome was also super to work with. He was very patient and willing to work with us.
After going to Jeff Wyler, Lindsay on Brice, and HOURS spent online searching, my husband and I chose Ricart. Now, we went based on the amazing selection and the huge range in prices, but we got so much more! After already being harrassed by dealers at othe dealerships, and even online, we were prepared to be firm and ask to be left alone. When we got out of our car we were greeted by Logan Gray(With his awesome beard!) He was immediately friendly but not overly friendly like everywhere else we went so far. He picked up on our vibe and suggested he go look online for some vehicles we told him we were interested in and let us look on our own at their HUGE selection in our price range(under $10k). I could go on and on about how wonderful this experience was but to make a long story short we found the 2006 Nissan Xterra that we absolutely loved and Logan was so accommodating! He had us out of there in no time at all with the keys to our new Nissan. He was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be seeing him again for our car buying needs! Not only does Ricart have the BEST selection in Ohio, but they hire some pretty awesome salespeople too! We didnt expect such a positive experience and we wont go anywhere else for our vehicles!
Jay Motter eas very knowledgeable and answered every question and I had a lot!! He was/is honest....2nd kia i have bought from him and sure not my last!!
The finance guys were just as awesome...explained all my options for purchase and educated me on leasing....
(KIA) I was referred by a friend to come to this dealership to trade in my vehicle. I was not expecting the outcome of me driving out in a brand new 2020 KIA car. Jeff, Lorenzo and Matt (Nick) were super fast and had me swapped in no time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to trade in a car! Thank you guys soo soo much!!! I m so happy with my purchase!!!
My husband and I were down to one car and needed our second car so he could get to work. I will always go back here with thanks to John Thornton hes AWSOME. He is not pushy, wants you to get whats right for you and works with your budget. If you want someone who is going to put the BS aside and keep it real with you always ask for John. He wasn't there to just sell a car he was there to make us happy with our decision. He knew we needed something quick and he was showing us cars rain and shine until we were 100% sure this is what we wanted. Thanks again John, Mr. and Mrs. Price
Heather Golden was absolutely wonderful to work with! We told her ahead of time the cars we wanted to look at and she had them ready to test drive by the time we got there! She made the buying process so simple and made sure we didn t have a long wait since we came from out of town. We will be back to shop with her for our next vehicle!
When a sales person tells me that they are a commissioned and he has no problem not selling me a vehicle because I wanted to deal on the price and he didn t want to ask his GM or Sales Manager. And then he gets up and walks away before I do! No Sir I don t want your business
Bait and switch outfit! I drove to Ricart because I was interested in a car I saw online that was a VERY good deal. I didn't call first so I knew I was taking a chance that it would be sold but when I got there I was told it sold in February - it is now 5/14!!! The saleman who was waiting on me got a supervisor immediately when she saw which car I was interested in. I asked the supervisor why the price online had dropped twice in April since the car had already been sold and was told they have an automatic system for reductions - BUT apparently they don't have an automatic system do remove inventory when it is sold. I was also told they had mentioned this oversight to management several times and it has not been corrected. Shady Outfit!! I will NOT buy from them.
Heather was extremely helpful and patient. She could sense my hesitation in choosing a color helped me make the right decision. She took her time explaining all features thoroughly. Definitely would recommend her.
I have lived in Columbus for the last 20 years of my life and have never shopped at Ricart. Well, last weekend I went looking for a reliable used car at a competitor dealership near by. I knew what I wanted. And what I wanted to spend. I read reviews prior as well and was pleasantly surprised that Ricart had such great reviews.
Well, we had a disastrous visit at the competitor. Just all and all slimey feeling. Was hard to get prices. Felt bullied into buying more car than I was comfortable with. So we left.
A quick google search showed a similar vehicle for sale at Ricart for 10k less than the competitor wanted!!!! We walked right in and asked about it. our sales person was Joseph Kuznar and he was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We never felt pressured. And although he did suggest some other cars in the same price range, and we did test drive a few, we ended up with the exact car we came to get.
All and all we spent about 3.5 hours here from start to finish. It was rather painless to be honest. I will definitely return here next time I have a need to. I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted and was treated well the entire time by everyone we encountered at the Used Car Factory.
Unfortunately the two times that I have attempted to get information from these folks it has been a disaster. After filling out a short online questionnaire letting them know that I am looking into both purchasing and leasing options I was called by the used car department. After explaining what I was looking for he decided that I would need to speak to someone in the new car department. Joseph Eddy answered my transferred call and seemed instantly bothered by the call in general. He asked me how I could help him. I explained what I was looking for and he began to very rudely quote prices to me for a vehicle that I specifically said I was not interested in. After several rude comments he told me he did not think that they could help me but I could make an appointment to come in. He made the decision to not help me before knowing anything about me. He was aggressive and rude and honestly lost my business and that off all of my friends, family, and coworkers. I was in tears after we ended the call which is not a typical response for me. They seemed to want me to give them the permission to pull a credit check for financing but when I explained that I have already gotten financing through my Credit Union but I wanted to look at leasing options, I was treated terribly and very disrespectfully.
Not sure I've ever left a comment in my life but this deserved it. Horrible place to go. The person I dealt with sucked, and they absolutely don't budge on price at all. He told me nothing about the car, didn't know any info on the car when I asked and even when the manager was brought out, still not willing to come down even a dollar. I don't know how they sell cars but thanks to them I got an amazing deal somewhere else and love my new car! Their lose. Wouldn't recommend going here if you are a female because they will take advantage of you. Go to Ford Mathews in Newark!
I bought my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander from Ricart in May of 2019. From the very first week I have regretted this decision. Upon test driving the vehicle beforehand I heard a low roaring noise as we drive over 40 MPH, and noticed that when accelerating there was a hesitation that made the car accelerate dangerously about 2 seconds after I pressed the pedal. I noted this to the dealership, and they told me they would look at it, and get back with me the next day once they had a look over. The next day I was told they hadn't found anything, it was likely a fluke, and the roar was caused by different wearing on the tires. New tires would replace it. They offered $100 off the car purchase to buy new tires.
A week later the vehicle had the same issue, but also worse. Firstly it hesitated the same way, but now the engine would idle from about 100 RPM to about 1500. IT would bounce back and forth, the entire car rattling, and if left still long enough would cause the engine to fail. Starting it up the issue would be gone for a bit, only to come back again after a short amount of time.
I have taken the vehicle in several times, over and over, to get this resolved, including once pulling up with it still going on so that the Service department could figure out what was going on. Each and every time it had been dismissed, said they couldn't replicate it despite exacting details on everything that triggered it. Each and every time, thankfully, I wasn't charged except once for a rental vehicle. Each and every time I had to call THEM for an update. Each and every time I was given some other generic excuse that, when speaking to other mechanics, had no chance at all at being the problem and was just told something to get me off the property. Worst part? I drove 20 feet from their service exit, and the same problem happened immediately. Less than 60 seconds after I was told they couldn't replicate it.
The final time I brought it to the company was when my transmission failed. I brought it in thursday evening, and friday morning I spoke with Paul from their service department about what was going on. I was told I couldn't get a rental vehicle because warranty hadn't approved it yet. I asked how long till they diagnose it to get it to warranty for approval, I was told 1 hour. I called back 4 times that day, leaving voicemails, emailing them, and even called their service desk to get a Skype message to him, and yet in all cases I never reached the Service team. Because of this I was forced into a situation where I had to put 300 miles on a LEASED VEHICLE that belonged to my father in law, inconveniencing them and costing quite a bit of time and money, to borrow a vehicle for the next two days. I then called Saturday morning, and was told by another rep (not Paul) that not only had they not contacted Warranty at all and couldn't/wouldn't until Monday, but that I could have gotten a rental vehicle immediately regardless. On Monday, I still did not hear a word from the service department until I left a bad survey and a 1 star review for their service department. Then a manager called, and only THEN did I receive a callback for my problems. The cost was extraordinarily high, I wasn't given all of the information that was available (found out there was more than 1 problem and I was only told about the 1), and I was left still without a rental vehicle.
Today, year and five months almost to the day I purchased it, I took it for the first time to another shop and had them look at it. Bexley Automotive. Not only did I learn there were alternatives to the expensive part I was quoted, but I learned there were other problems, something the mechanic there, Kyle, is willing to swear to. I mentioned the same lagging and rumbling I mentioned above to him, and he said he would check it out. After getting the Catalytic Converter and Transmission repaired Kyle took it for a drive.
