An incredible venue for weddings or indeed a weekend break. A spectacular building set in stunning grounds deep into the New Forest. Whilst I didn't stay overnight I've heard room prices are pricey but then if that was your concern I'm sure you'll find a Premier Inn next to a busy road somewhere . If you're hunting for somewhere to get married, this place ticks all the boxes and you should definitely opt for their toastmaster, he earns every penny and brings a very special touch to an already special event.

Wonderful venue and location for our wedding, the Walker suite was so incredible - the bathtub is . Food in the fine dining restaurants was delicious. Thanks to Phil and the whole team for making it work for us while staying within the government guidelines and keeping us safe!

Attended my Sister's wedding here new year's day. Exclusive use of the hotel, I found the reception staff, bar staff and the chef I dealt with very helpful.
However, food service was pretty poor. Canapes were whisked passed us without a glance and we only managed one bite after chasing down a server- who said he'd be back. With the crumbs. After serving the same people who had just been served. They need training in how to circulate a room correctly. Dinner was slow and arrived tepid. In the morning, buffet breakfast was a complete disaster. Nothing filled up except for tomatoes and mushrooms, which didn't need filling. Juices not refilled. Cutlery not correctly laid out. No one serving coffee- in fact I couldn't grab a member of staff, and mid chase realised the pots had been stuffed to the side. I ended up serving coffee for everyone.
Rooms were well appointed, but the heating/ cooling was hit and miss. Was glad to find extra quilts and robes in the wardrobe.
I hope this was down to it being new year's day- but nevertheless, for an establishment like Rhinefield and the cost, they fell well below the bar.

We went for afternoon tea as it was a friends 40th birthday. The service was terrible, very long waits for food/drinks to arrive, beds being given wheeled through the dining area! We were cramped around a very small coffee table which made it very uncomfortable to eat and the cakes were definitely not home made!

A beautiful location with really first class facilities with staff who seem to have wandered in from the 2 star guestguest house nearby. Having stayed at Rhinefield once before about 3 years ago it's such a shame to see how the standards have slipped. Our reservation was wrong and the receptionist simply shrugged and couldn't care less. The bar staff casually having a chat whilst surrounded by dirty tables still had time to berate a fellow guest who dained to use a clean napkin to clean his glassed after a sudden downpour outside. I could go on.

I have stayed in a number of 4 & 5 star venues around the world over the last few years, including others in this chain, and this location was one of the most disappointing.

That said the building was beautiful, like the backdrop from a photo shoot, the rooms were well laid out and well appointed and most of the food was reasonable. We have have just arrived on a bad day...

I was staying at Rhinefield House Hotel for a murder mystery weekend, and I had a great time. The event itself was great (run by The Killing Game) and the venue was perfect. A historic house in a beautiful setting of the New Forest. Not especially near to any big town so far as I can tell, but a lovely place - would love to go back for a walking holiday. The rooms were lovely, the staff efficient and helpful, the food in the restaurant was really great - both for dinner and breakfast. No complaints at all.

I booked an executive double room for my wife's birthday with breakfast and diner as part of a package.
The whole experience from booking, arrival the food and the room was amazing.
The room was superb, loads of floor space all the storage even milk in the fridge.
The bathroom had a huge bath with a TV build into the wall and a great separate shower cubicle.
The staff were excellent from beginning to end.
Its location is superb with multiple walks around the new forest starting at the gates to the drive.
I couldn't recommend this Hotel any higher. 5*'s

We visited this lovely hotel for the first time a few weeks ago to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with family. The forest location is beautiful and the Alhambra private dining room exquisite! We were all very impressed with the the Moorish workmanship which, together with our own Spanish classical music soundtrack, provided the perfect setting for our delicious meal. A day to remember!

I have been here only three times over the past few years and each time (as it is a lovely setting) I hope that the quality of the food and service is better than the previous. However, they never seem to improve. Today we had lunch and after politely pointing out to the waitress that the figs served in the salad were mouldy, she initially politely apologised and asked us if we wanted anything else. However when she came back to take the payment, she told us that she had shown the chef and he didn't think it was mouldy. It was grey and furry, but even if we were mistaken I would never tell the customer that they are wrong and would have given a discount off the bill. We also observed later that not all ingredients listed on the menu for each dish we ordered actually arrived. We always find the waiting staff to be quite slow and don't show you where to go when you arrive dispite there being several eating areas, which is a tad awkward rather than welcoming. It's a beautiful setting, it's a shame they can't just up the standards.

I was married here, beautiful old building with an interesting history. We recently visited in a nostalgic trip and we attempted to get service on the patio but unfortunately the staff have made an art of avoiding eye contact. It appears standards have slipped. We have very fond memories of this hotel , just not this time.

As a regular visitor I always enjoy my visits here. My wife and I stay here nearly every year and are never disappointed. When and if there are any issues they are always quickly and professionally resolved. We live nearby so also like to just park up and walk around the grounds and have a coffee in the bar area. Highly rcommended.

We stayed at the hotel over the early May Day bank holiday weekend to celebrate a friends birthday.
What a beautiful hotel set in idyllic surroundings. Everything about the hotel was superb. The artichecture, the grounds, cleanliness, room qualty and cleanliness. We can't speak highly about the staff who were professional, helpful and courteous.
The food was tasty and well presented.
Can't recommend the hotel enough.

I imagine its a beautiful place but after calling multiple times over several weeks which is how I was told to book, no one answered. I emailed again only to be told it was now apparently booked.

So if you can get hold of them then it might be a nice place to go!

This hotel looks great on the outside but unfortunately that is as far as the positives go. Breakfast poor, tea and coffee both undrinkable, rooms dark and shabby. I also have to say not the cleanest hotel I have been in. The location is nice, set in the New Forest

This was a surprise for our Wedding Anniversary and it was superb from beginning to end. The evening meal was absolutely gorgeous and the choice for breakfast was so overwhelming and so much choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A place I would love to return too,and next time I will remember my swimming costume for the spa. ..

Came here for our Christmas party last two years. Staff are always very nice and helpful. Rooms are in pristine condition. The grounds are really lovely even in winter. Food and drinks can be pricey but that's only to be expected. Breakfast could be a little better but isn't bad. All in all a great night and enjoyable stay each time.

Myself & my family booked afternoon tea at Rhinefield as part of a 3 day birthday celebration
This was on 11th July 2020 so we had only just come out of lockdown restrictions & Rhinefield were still running on limited staff, however the young man that looked after us & served us did so in the most exceplary manner he gave 100% service well done Tom! The cream tea was delicious & highly recommend the savoury option. Tom even brought a chocolate brownie in the most delightful patisserie box for my granddaughter to take home !
Please would the management give Tom a special pat on the back for being such a wonderful ambassador for your company
Many thanks Sandra Swain
