From the outside the hotel seemed extremely old. Let me tell you, when I walked in I was amazed at the detail and modern architecture put into the design of the hotel. Don't let the outside deceive you, this is one of the nicest hotels in Boston

One of the absolute nicest hotels I've stayed in. Room was spacious and we'll decorated. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was very large. Only downside was the hot water didn't work in the morning, but they had it fixed in under an hour.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The room is a decent size for the city. The balcony sliders aren't very soundproof, I'm from the country and all the loud city noises kept me up. The pool was clean, but cold.

Really nice hotel, and pretty reasonably priced considering the location. Proximity to a few good bars and a ton of cool places to eat in Chinatown. I had a double-booking issue when I showed up and the staff/manager cleared it up for me with absolutely no hassle. Room was clean, housekeeping was on point.

Nicely appointed hotel, truly a great location. $28 daily resort fee ? What resort? I know it s the new norm but this hotel while nice, is no resort. It s a hotel. Resort fees are money grabs. Shame on hotel operators.

A hotel with a unique and fun style. Great location in Boston near parks and the freedom trail. The pool and rooftop are fun, too. Only complaints were that we repeatedly had to wait in line for the elevator and the air conditioning unit was pretty loud at night. This elevator issue was exacerbated in the evenings as the pool and bar crowd increased.

Excellent stay. We chose this hotel for the very decent pricing and convenience to the back bay. It was an ideal spot for getting to the Opera House which was the point of our trip. The rooms are real nice and great views of the city. The prices can fluctuate but if you keep an eye on it you can get a good rate. Highly recommend this hotel.

Booked 2 rooms for 7 people for a bachelor party... drove in after 5 hours and got one room at 4pm. I was told i would get my second room shortly when a supervisor would inspect it. Got the second room at 7:15 pm when i kept going back to the desk to ask for the room. We are 7 people in one room who had multiple reservations cancelled for the night because we couldnt get acommodated.
Trainee at front desk : that was my supervisor who just walked by you so we can release the roon
Me: ok fantastic
Trainee: *pointing at couches and in sarcastic manner says* well you can go wait over there.

Extremely rude and did not apologize once for the delay and felt like she was doing us a favor.

Customer service - 0
Rooms - 4/5

Modern rooms that look good but defintely dont want to have another conversation with the front desk.

Modern and cool looking hotel. The rooftop pool is very cool, but was under repair while we were there. The rooms used to have balconies that were wonderful to hang out on in the evening and watch the city, but sadly they are off limits now (door only opens 4 inches for "security") -- understandable but sad since this is one of the things we loved about this hotel - so rare to have a balcony in the city!

Stayed here July 5th and 6th. Got a great price via hotel's tonight. Awesome stay. Awesome hotel. Very comfortable and large rooms. Good restaurant and rooftop bar was cool. Pool had unforseen maintenance and they were kind enough to reimburse a portion of the stay. Had an accidental mixup on my card and they cleared it up immediately and as pain free and quick as I've ever dealt with. Highly recommend. Location is great too.

Site said it was $44 for valet but it was $51 when I got there. After 9-10 pm, if you don't have a govt ID AND if you're not a registered guest you will not be allowed in the hotel. So not a good place if you're a single person planning to spend the night with someone. No alcohol allowed either. There was a fight on our floor where a young male sat on a female while another female was striking the pinned female on the floor, in the face. Security showed up and tried to keep it hush hush by blaming the incident on the pinned, assaulted female.

We cannot recommend this hotel as they will on sell a fully paid, seven day booking without making any attempt to contact you. My husband arrived very late at night from Hong Kong to discover that our booking had been cancelled. The hotel had multiple options for contacting us to discuss this but we were not contacted. My husband was a speaker at an in house conference and staff were not that concerned about the major inconvenience caused by this action. No apologies, no attempt to accomodate him. No place to stay at 3am. We had been delayed in Hong Kong on our stopover from Australia due to a stolen passport and had informed the hotel, via email, of the expected delay in arrival. The booking had been made months in advance. So if you don t appreciate hotels operating like budget airlines who double sell seats then I suggest you look elsewhere to stay. Find a place that still values hospitality over ruthless business practices. This culture of treating your conference guests so poorly forms a negative impression of a destination that lasts a very long time.

A good hotel. Centrally located, close to downtown and Boston common. Rooms are spacious. I had outstanding view from the 22nd floor. The breakfast buffet was good although the selection could be better. No complaints overall.

Great location and I got a good deal on the room so it was good for the price but if I'd paid full price I would not have been pleased with my experience. Room was nice. Pretty big. Lots of USB charging ports which I always appreciate. Nice amenities in the bathroom. If I'm being nitpicky, the bedding was lacking. Could use an additional light quilt or coverlet for someone who finds duvets too warm. It was incredibly loud. City street noise is one thing. People stomping loudly on the floor above me. Guy in the room next to me blasting deep bass music. Drunk basics yelling in the hall in the middle of the night. This isn't totally the fault of the hotel but it did contribute to my experience and they could invest in some sound-proofing. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was pricey for such low effort. A buffet with really basic individually plated scrambled eggs, held under a heat lamp which both dried them out and failed to keep them warm. When I served myseld, the buffet was out of bacon. 45 minutes later when I left, no one had refilled it. I also watched a woman order a plain bagel, fail to receive it after 25 minutes, finally get it, and it was a bagel loaded with stuff she didn't order. No one apologized or offered anything to make up for it. Then 10 minutes later, after they'd left, another server brought a plain bagel to the now empty table... what a mess.

The beds are amazing, there is even a menu for pillow types. Eclectic interior and it smells great (i know that sounds strange but this place has its own smell). My only complaint so far is the freezing cold shower i had the first morning.

Very cool atmosphere. The room was nice, very clean. The pillows sucked but there was an option to change them and that was cool. Our key card had some issues but that's minor. Overall a very trendy spot.

My stay at Revere Hotel was pleasant. My room was comparable with a luxury brand like Marriott brand. The room I was in was equipped with several power options and connections to the Samsung Television! A couple of disapointments for me were that the hotel does not have a frequent stay program that I could earn credit for my stay... Also, the CO Bigelow soap and lotion was great but the room had large bottles of these, not intended to be taken home... I really liked the soap btw! In all, very nice stay and friendly staff make this a good place to visit as long as you aren't worried about earning your points!

This is an excellent hotel. Great comfy bed. Excellent views. A very clean property. Check in was a bit slow. Toilet was kinda loud. The on site restaurant was delicious. The is all around great hotel. The staff was also friendly and helpful. This is a very good choice of hotel. The rooms are spacious. I spent my birthday here and yes I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very modern and inviting, however upon closer inspection, there were many spots that had been neglected by housekeeping. The free coffee provided in room was undrinkable and the paid coffee in the lobby wasn't much better. Parking was fairly inexpensive at only $40 a night for self park but because there is also public parking there, it was tough to find a spot. Overall it's a decent hotel by my standards but not something I'd consider luxury.

Newly renovated, which is nice. Their business centre is not fully functional, but the consierge service provided the help I needed. One complaint - have issues with the key cards or card reader at the room doors. It's a nuisance to having to try many times to enter your own room.

The worst hotel ever. I'm currently staying for my company's gathering, but it sucks. The room is ok, and the location is good. But the food has been awful (it's literally inedible). Also the elevators (what we call "lifts" in U.K.) to get to your room is nightmare. They only have four elevators and you have to wait 10-20 mins just to get an elevator when it's busy time. I have ended up wasting 1 hour of my life just for waiting an elevator at Revere Hotel. And I still have to stay here tonight... Unbelievable. (BTW I'm writing this review while waiting for an elevator for last 15mins)

I would definitely stay at this hotel if/when I ever visit Boston again. Everyone who worked here was extremely kind and helpful but nobody more than our concierge, John. He went above and beyond to make our visit to Boston a welcoming one.

Nice hotel, but the elevators were brutally slow; so slow that I considered asking for some form of compensation for the headache. On average, I would say the elevators took 5-10 minutes to show up, and they were usually jam-packed when they arrived.

First of all, the hotel was reasonably nice as far as the room and amenities. The location was also great for exploring downtown Boston, especially the Commons. However, we unwittingly accepted a handicap room in order to check in a little early, figuring it would not be much different. There was little difference in the room except for the bathroom. The shower, otherwise fairly nice, had only a very small lip to keep the water from running out onto the floor. Combined with the fact that the shower curtain did not extend down far enough, the bathroom floor became covered with water, creating a hazardous condition on smooth tile flooring. Also, there was an event at the bar/pool upstairs every night for non-hotel guests, which made returning to our room each evening difficult, given the fact that there were 10-20 people in various stages of inebriation waiting to flood the elevators at any given time. This fact alone made it difficult to enjoy our stay at an otherwise fine hotel, and makes it difficult to rate our stay higher.

Over an hour and a half wait for food service to the room. You go to the front desk and ask them where to go and they tell you to do room service. I will never stay here again. Staff moderately friendly....but are focused on the hotel not the customer. If you wanna stay in Boston go on the Hyatt

The hotel is nice enough, good area, but very expensive for what you get. One of our party had booked the "Premium Skyline View" room, which was even more expensive, but a balcony overlooking the city was promised. Yes, there was a balcony, tiny but there. Unfortunately, you couldn't step out on it. The sliding doors opened about four inches and that was it. "Liability issue" we were told. Be nice if they'd warned my friend before he spent all that extra money!
It's Boston, so the street is noisy and very crowded. There was construction everywhere; we missed one turn, about a block from the hotel, and had to drive another 15 minutes to get back there.
Worse yet, we'd specifically asked about using the pool - it's summer, after all - and were told yes of course, only to get there and discover it was "closed for the season". What season?! Do they open it for Christmas and New Year's Eve? Absurd.
The rooms were clean and decently appointed, but nowhere near what you'd expect from a hotel of this caliber. Or supposedly of this caliber. And price.
We went to the restaurant fairly early our first night, and the food was good, though we sat for about ten minutes before anyone could be bothered bringing menus. The staff were giggling and on their phones. I realize that makes me sound grumpy, but by the time the food finally arrived, I was!
It's a good location, though. The Commons is a short walk away, there are a multitude of restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. But it's stupidly expensive for what you get. OH, and the rooms have been "modernized", sort of, but they also feature those low-wattage low-light bulbs that never provide enough light to read by, let alone shave or do makeup.
The breakfast buffet wasn't much of a buffet; more what I'd expect from a Holiday Inn Express.
All in all a disappointment.

There are better options for such an expensive rate. Fails include:
1. Water isn t free in the room (even though it was $400 a night)
2. Toothpaste they provide is some low budget made in China brand that tastes fake
3. No face soap
4. Smelly shared pump soap, not good for ppl with allergies

An old hotel has been updated and has reasonable prices for rooms and meeting space from a Boston perspective. Valet and garage parking, many rooms, nice staff and really close to everything from theatre 2 blocks away to shopping, the Freedom trail, several colleges, and several public transportation entrances. Not too many restaurants right there (may 10 or so) but a short taxi gets you to others.

Excellent hotel in a central location and good val...

Excellent hotel in a central location and good value for money taking into account the current average cost in August in the US and, specifically, in Boston.
Excellent cleaning of the room and bathroom, the size of the room and comfortable beds and pillows.
The only drawback is the carpet in the bed area (it is not present in the entrance hall of the room itself).
In particular, the courtesy and suggestions of the concierge were appreciated: help with online check-in for the return flight, advice for returning the rental car and calling a private shuttle to the airport at a lower price. and with greater convenience than the Metro or Logan Express bus.
Also strongly recommended for families.
