Super friendly service. Great food and also very nicely presented. Chapeau. That's the way it's supposed to be. Hospitality is of paramount importance here. You feel highly appreciated as a customer.

Beautiful surroundings. It is a shame that it is suggested that you spend the night in the castle, while you actually have your room in that white annex. Incidentally, the room does need an update.

14.50 for a breakfast. You must indicate at check-in what you want the next morning and what time you want breakfast.
Half was not there (no bacon and mushrooms for English breakfast) the sausages too tough to chew. We had to ask about this because it was not reported in advance that there were no products. The healthy breakfast of fresh fruit was also not fresh scrambled eggs without mushrooms and was very old and the humus looked like it hadn't been covered for 3 days. Not to mention the insect punch (fruit juice). When reporting to the reception it was yes the egg has been in the bin for a while!?! Didn't I have to fill in a time? She also ran breakfast herself and had never heard of this.
They say they are going to do something about it, but thinking about maybe compensating you for not having breakfast did not occur to them. Oh yes, they were also asked if it was breakfast for the first time. Yes and the last time too!

we got a room for 2 nights on the 2nd floor (28 steps), but are 71 resp. 73 years old. This was a decrepit family room with stains on the chair, curtains hanging loosely and armchairs on which you could not sit properly. Incidentally, we had already booked 3 months ago and received a comfort room. The question whether we could get another room was answered negatively, because a ladies cycling team (WNT) had reserved the ground floor or the guests who were initially placed there had to sleep elsewhere and in our case moved to a room that didn't even meet 2 people met. Too bad Fletcher, you completely ruined our wedding day and the remark "we can't renovate all hiotels at the same time" makes no sense. Perhaps you should curb your expansion drive a little and think first of the quality instead of the quantity. The food was abominably bad; the meat from the mixed grill could only be used as a shoe sole. In any case, don't settle for room 61.

Great beautiful location with a beautiful interior. The food was superbly provided by very friendly staff. The four-course dinner was truly worthy of a Christmas dinner. Top location where I will definitely come back.

Nice environment ... but in my opinion they can still grow in customer service
That put a damper on our stay.
After I responded to a satisfaction survey, I never heard anything again ... and so fits perfectly into the image that I got ...
Not a really warm welcome .... too bad

The name suggests you stay in the castle, but only the restaurant is located there. And it was booked full so had to eat out. Nice rooms but **** ranking is not clear why, no cooler in the room, no safe. Breakfast is okay but one hour before it closed the croissants where already gone. Nice cities in the area. Had to wait at reception couple of minutes, little staff around. But worth the stay.

It smelled musty when we came in and it was cold. Reasonable room, bad bed (sagging). Breakfast good but simple. All in all not the level you expect at a beautiful location like this. Next time another hotel in that area and for this price it should be better.

You think I'm going to spend the night in a castle but you can sleep in the stable 300 meters away. Very old carpeting in rooms and corridors gave a bad musty smell. In the restaurant (castle) we also went to eat and that was far from fresh .. even expired vegetables they even saw brown. We have therefore left it. 1 positive point de gaia zoo is nearby. And a very nice zoo.

Outdated, the food is poor.
Outdoors is appealing, but the insides are faded with lousy beds and with a poorly organized breakfast. Actually, it's the old Fletcher formula all over and i'm wondering why I booked in the first place. Please update the hotel, much potential but now it is overpriced with poor services.

Rooms without facilities, breakfast does not make you happy (staff are more concerned with themselves than with guests) ... 2-stars, restaurant located 400 meters away (beautiful castle) compensates a lot, but not everything ... 4-stars, ergo ultimately max ... score 3.
Hotel lacks the dynamics of integrated restaurant.
Unfortunately

The staff were extremely unfriendly, they just ruined my birthday because of their bad behavior and the room was very substandard and so dirty that I didn't even want to shower. Big fat -1 actually for me so !!!!!!!!!!

We had booked for 2 nights, but left after 1 night. Room was shabby and dirty, hotel itself looks tatty and dated. And idd, we were also under the assumption that we would sleep in the castle (but that is the restaurant, it turned out on arrival) When the breakfast (at 14.50 pp) turned out to be meager and tasteless, we rushes packed. A mockery, folks, don't!

We had invited our Family today for an Easter brunch. Enjoy and not have to cook for hours yourself. Well .. if only we had done that! My wife was ashamed to death and spontaneously broke into tears when we got home. I have rarely experienced such a scanty thing. Half of the products that were announced were missing. We wanted to miss what was offered .. we finally did child animation ourselves. Even the additional Cappuccino ordered went wrong .. it was lukewarm, bluh! Of course we should have been able to say this all during the Brunch. But how annoying this is if you want to enjoy being together with your loved ones during the Easter days. That 1 Star rating is only for the ambiance and the friendly staff!

The idea of sleeping in a castle made us very excited, unfortunately we soon found out that this hotel advertises something it is not. It is a building diagonally opposite the castle. At the reception we were welcomed by a lady who clearly preferred to lose us rather than being rich.
The room looked nice! When I wanted to take a bath I saw something that was a lot less. A soap dispenser full of mold and I certainly have not used this. The room was also very noisy. We could listen in on the discussions held on the floor below and it sounded like we had landed in a hurricane when other guests took a shower or bath. The breakfast was fine, but in my opinion not worth the 13 per person. All in all an ok hotel for a stopover, but no more than that.

Unfortunately I didn't read the lowercase letters and assumed that we would spend the night in the castle. So to read a problem that several people have had. Hotel location was good. The beds were fine and I think it was quite new, but the seats with the torn fabric need to be replaced. Bathroom was fine too. Room was noisy, but fortunately we had little trouble with this. All in all great had a great night.

Room was neat. Way too few staff. 1 young lady ran 2 terraces and the counter. Eventually being able to wait an hour for a drink. The castle and the hotel are completely different things and are not together. A mockery for the name Fletcher hotels.

I think Fletcher is a flasher hotel ..

First room really smelled like cigarettes and second room was not clean. There were still hairs in the bathroom and plastic bags.
The receptionist also came up with an excuse that dinner had to be booked in advance and after I indicated that it was booked in advance, they had "no" place anymore, so I drove to Germany for dinner.

Coffee machine and kettle are not to be found in the rooms.

Hotel is separate from the castle while it was shown different in the pictures.

I don't think receptionist knows what hospitality means because they look very grumpy and they are unhappy if you have any questions.

I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel nice! You can enjoy a nice walk in the neighborhood. Restaurant looks great. Hotel is certainly dated, but we had a good deal. Food very average. Booked a 3-course dinner, as the catering is now closed. You have to pay extra for many dishes. Entrecote for around 26 euros and then getting a very thin steak is very disappointing. Wasn't prime rib. Raw vegetables, 2 small potatoes. We had the main course within 5 minutes. After 3 courses were really hungry !! Very sorry!!! Specified during operation. Very little could do with it, were orders from Fletcher. Got 2 drinks from the case. Judging from the amount of complaints, they don't do much with it. Breakfast was fine by the way!

Unfortunately not included if restaurant is full and the group of 20 people want to dine. Then offer them a limited menu and keep them on the terrace. There they also drink drinks. Now that group has gone into town.

This has been a four star hotel. That is noticeable. Perfect abination. The hotel is located a few hundred meters from the castle. Food in the castle is excellent and of course the best environment you could wish for. The hotel itself is located in an old farm. How dated. The dining room is a bit more modern and pleasant.
It's a Fletcher hotel. So there are few staff. If you sit in the bar in the evening, the lady / gentleman on duty must pour your wine, then quickly leave to tidy up something or to man the reception. In short; that's a bit less. But the staff is and will always be extremely friendly and helpful. Really recommended.

Surprisingly beautiful environment! Let me start with that. The restaurant is the castle itself, we did not eat there, but we did walk in the area which is worth the visit in itself. The overnight stay is in a renovated building that was originally built in 1713. It has a good rustic atmosphere but is still equipped with modern conveniences. The staff were friendly and breakfast was more than adequate in both quality and choice options. Gaia Zoo, very close by, was a random part of the day filling for us, which was very popular. We also had dinner at Felice in Kerkrade and we were very pleased with that. Is within walking distance of the Hotel. Then why 4 and not 5 stars? The hotel had defects here and there. Looks like cuts that a top hotel would not make. (Handbook hanger hung somewhat loose, turn mirror did not turn, stop in the bath was replaced with a normal stop and also some small things. Furthermore, a very nice stay.
