Restaurant Delphi Review

One of my preferred locations for quality greek food. Staff is always nice even when they have a full house. I will be bringing family next time. I can see why they have a lot of great reviews.

Amazing food and staff. Been one of my favorite restaurants for many years now. Eat there on a regular basis personally and have had catering for my office several times. Truly authentic delicious Greek food. Highly recommend.

I have frequented Delphi Greek many times and it has continued to provide some of the most delicious Greek food you will find in Los Angeles. The Chicken Riganati is one of my favorite dishes but the rack of lamb is also a favorite.

Amazing place with great service. Their Greek pizza is great and I definitely recommend it. My server was very polite and took care of everything I wanted. I would rate this place 6 stars if I could.

I ate here 2 times and both times I got sick, and bad service and food

Waited 40 minutes for bad Greek. The Tzatziki and Pita tasted grocery store bought, and the order wasn't even correct. I love good Greek. This, was not good Greek, nor was it authentic.

I wish the new owner every success, but i was not pleased. The theme seems to have changed from, you know, Greek stuff to tens of ornately framed plaques and certificates commemorating the owner himself and his various political and philanthropic activities. Not why people are here, dude. However, it could explain why MICHAEL DUKAKIS(!) was eating lunch there with a colleague. They were the only other customers there at peak weekday lunch hour. The chicken souvlaki wrap was good, but took a long time; the side salad had no personality - and no feta. I'm going to give them a second chance sometime soon, and that'll decide if I'll ever come back to this place with which I've got a long, long history.

Greek food and the atmosphere at this place is excellent. Everyone at our table was very satisfied. The staff was very helpful and observant. Bring your appetite because portions are large. My apartment is far from here, so I can't visit often.

My experience with this restaurant was very, very good! The food was amazingly, tastefully, delicious!! I will add this one to my FAV List. Thank you for serving such good food!

Perfect ! Started with the Chicken and lemon soup. It was as great as when I was in Michigan .The gyros are the best as well .Very fresh onions and tomatoes and the perfect yogurt sauce ,yum. Can easily get addicted! If you like Greek food and you are in Santa Monica, try Delphi it is wonderful!

greek food, mmm, my favorite treat. very tasty. looking forward to going back again. the prices are well within reason for the quality. similar to a place in denver i loved.

I find myself craving the Opa gyros at least once a week, it's so so good! It comes with either a salad or a lentil soup. I've tried both, and they were delicious. The service is great and fast, and the prices are super fair, especially considering that LA is full of pretentious cafes and restaurants with low quality food. By the time you're done, you're gonna feel full with maybe some space left for the ice cream they sell next door :) But I'm curious about the desserts Delphi has, I should try one of these days!

I really dislike having to give a negative review especially at a time like this during a pandemic but I feel the need to let people know about my experience.
I ordered a gyros plate for lunch and was told besides the gyros the plate included rice, pita bread, and a vegetable. The first thing I noticed when I opened the container were the carrots. The carrots appeared to be the peeled child size carrots you can purchase at any supermarket. In addition to the carrots were 4 or 5 thinly sliced pieces of tomatoes and some sliced red onions. The gyros appeared to be the sliced gyros anyone could also buy in the frozen food section of their market. So, not only was the food very average, but I had the privilege of paying nearly $20.00 for it.
Again, I don't feel good about giving a review like this but I feel I have to in this case.

Authentic Greek food. We had the flaming saganaki to start off the meal, then I had moussaka and my friend had pastitsio. Big servings, great taste. We ended the meal with baklava that was some of the best I had ever had, with very finely ground walnuts. Well worth the trip! And Roozbeh, the owner, was gracious, and spent time showing us his fish.

Lemon soup is perfect. An ambient neighborhood "joint" that is a well kept secret!

Good Greek food; not the usual Greek overcooked soggy vegetables. Very tasty.

Our group loved the authentic atmosphere. Food was great, the appetizer called Tarama is red caviar and it is wonderful (try it). Ordered the Moussaka (eggplant) it was so good. Definitely thumbs up. Oh and the Ellos Mediterranean Red wine is nice. The husband ordered the Delphi combo plate, he's Greek and loved the plate!!

Delicious and well priced. I have had many good meals here even though I live in Florida. I will return, as I come to LA fairly often.

Delphi is as authentic as it gets. There are only so many "quality" greek restaurants in LA and every neighborhood has its favorite. Wether you want to order in some comforting avgolemono soup or you want to be wined and dined Delphi is a perfect fit for all your greek food needs.

They are a community staple and a family run business, they are always prompt and the food is impeccable.

Great food, great service and amazing ambiance. Plus 3 incredible aquariums . (1) Shark Tank, (1) Sea Horse Tank and (1) Mediterranean Fish.

Our family has eaten Delphi for many years, and the quality and taste has been consistently 5 star, whether we dine in or order delivery. I love the vegetarian plate and my kids love the chicken riganati and we all say that the tzatziki at Delphi is the best we have ever had. We could literally make a meal of it. The tabouli is also absolutely the best. If you have never been here you absolutely must give it a try. Just as I write this I realize we are going to have to order delivery tonight from Delphi!!

My experience have been simply fantastic. The food, was so delicious, the meat was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection, and the service was impeccable. It's great to see the owners care much for their clients like they do. I also felt tempted to order dessert, and the Baklava was sooo good. They're going to see me there often!

This place was really underwhelming. They really seem like they are phoning it in. The gyro wrap looked and tasted like it was not freshly made. It wasn't hot, even though we picked it up right as it was ready. The calamari had a weird taste to it.

Food is just absolutely killer! Third time I ve ordered, and the beer selection is really really good too! Gotten delivery and they d been *early* and the orders have been perfect too.

They have great deals using Hooked. The stuff is overpriced for the kind of serving size and flavors. It s good for a quick working lunch but I wouldn t take guests there. Wait staff is courteous and accommodating, which is a plus. Hopefully they will revise the prices which will make the place more popular.

This Greek restaurant ate excellent and family members work at the restaurant, I recommend it for breakfast.

I can make better falafel at home, and I'm not good at making falafel. If you're a fan of terrible boardwalk food, you'll love this "Greek" version.

Absolutely wonderful meal. We ordered the Delphi combination plate, the Chicken Athinean, and falafel plate, mango ice cream and baklava.
Everything was delivered piping hot and cooked to perfection. The rice with each dish was flavored amazingly well. The mango ice cream wrapped with a bag of ice keeping it well frozen until dessert and was smooth and still maintained that light mango spice. The baklava was to die for, I ve never had any even remotely comparable. And the service was also top notch, our delivery driver even brought us a wine opener to use for the bottle of wine Incase we did not have one. Thoughtful service combined with excellent meal. SO SO SO GOOD!!

We were a big group so we tried a lot of dishes. The falafel plate, the gyro plate and the vegetarian plate were really good and very good served. We also tried the octopus as appetizer and the spices and olive oil gave it a very good taste. As dessert we tried the home made baklava and it was wonderful.

I have been ordering take-out from Delphi Greek for about 5 years now. ALWAYS consistent and very caring service. My favorites are the Greek Fries, Cold Appetizer Combo, Feta & Olives, Chicken Kebab Pita Special, and the Hamburger! The pita is always warm and fresh. Above all, you can tell they genuinely care! Try them!

Absolutely horrible! I was not impressed at all with the ambiance of the place. On a Saturday night, we were the only ones in the entire restaurant. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it was dreadful. We ordered another appetizer that came with a long stand of hair in the middle of it. Disgusting!!!! There was no flavor in the batter as described on the menu. The vegetables that were served with our meals had to be from a can or frozen. All the protein that we ordered with our dishes were over cooked. I'm not sure if the rice was drier or the meat. All I know is there wasn't enough water to drink to make up for that tasteless meal. We even ordered a pastry that probably was a few days old. My husband asked for a sauce with his streak and he had the nerve to charge him $4 for it. I requested a few cucumbers for our baby and he charged $4 food that! Lots of surprise charges....Even when we asked why, he didn't try to accommodate is at all. Everything about this restaurant was wrong. STAY AWAY!!!

I didn't leave hungry but I didn't leave feeling good. Service was pleasant, and the waiter was trying to make us happy. Quantity of food is decent but the food quality overall is bad. The chicken gyro is strange strips of corn flour and chicken that were obviously frozen. The falafel was dry and old tasting but there was a good seasoning. Also seemed previously frozen. Lentil soup was ok with warm buttered bread. This is the kind of place Gordon Ramsay would sass on TV. They are kinda trying and the ambience is half nice, but the food is just too subpar to come back.
