Been for the first time. Friendly service, thinking in terms of solutions. Nice view over the marina. It was a wonderful place to be. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant with terrace, overlooking the port of Strijensas. Great food and great beer

Here, due to success, even eaten two evenings in a row. Delicious menu with enough choice, friendly service, know-how. Atmosphere is good. On the 2nd evening there was a theme party: Italian. Very well cared for. Long tables with happy guests, a delicious 5-course dinner with, if desired, a wine arrangement and a real Italian with musical accompaniment. Super organized and all that for a good price-quality ratio.

Food OK, service very bad. A pity, that was very different years ago. The boss is very helpful, the rest of the staff is not qualified.

Last Sunday eaten delicious lobster with very good friends. Fantastic tasty !! Really recommended! Cozy restaurant and you will be helped well. I will certainly eat there more often

Really great this eatery. We drove from a floating figure away from 's-Gravendeel to the #batterij for a nice bite to eat. Very friendly and correct. Were allowed to choose a table themselves. The # entrance was a short # search. Had to climb a flight of stairs first. The entrance could also have been easily around the corner from the stairs. Little badly marked. In the restaurant we enjoyed a clear brown bean soup. Never seen. Delicious bitterballen. Goat cheese sandwich and for my darling egg sandwich with cheese and bacon. Restaurant De Battery is located in the lovely town of Strijensas. It is indeed a beautiful place with a beautiful harbor and an antique drawbridge, but for many people in or outside the Hoeksche Waard it is still a long way away. Also for us. We eat out quite often and prefer to go somewhere else every time. But unfortunately that wears out. In our opinion, the Battery also suffers from this. We had a lovely dinner, cozy atmosphere, nice weather so sat on the terrace on the first floor, beautiful view, nothing at all not to go there every time. Only from the West to the East of the Hoeksche Waard is disappointing, still a long drive. It is a fallacy, but it is true. Nevertheless, we will certainly take a look again as soon as the weather is nice.
The Hollands Diep has played an important role in the defense of our country in the past. To protect the country against various threats and / or attacks, including those of Emperor Joseph II and the French, the construction of 2 batteries in Strijensas was started in 1792. One of these was to protect the then port of Strijensas. The restaurant is therefore named after the battery that was located at this location at the time.

From the restaurant you can take a nice walk through the nature reserve. Large grazers graze there. Many geese forage there too and you see much more.

Had a wonderful dinner and had lunch the day after! Got a nice bottle of bubbles from them because this was our first dinner on our honeymoon. Will definitely go here again in the future. Be it again with a camper or with a boat. Top case. Top service!

Just had lunch here with the Oldtimer group. Delicious tomato soup and the sandwiches were also top notch.

In nice weather there are few nicer terraces in the Hoeksche Waard. The view of the marina is phenomenal. The ride to Strijensas is also beautiful (especially via Cillaarshoek and the Keizersdijk). The staff is very friendly and also helps to bring older people who have less mobility with the chair lift to the top. The quality of the food is good but since the new owner the prices are on the high side (even before the VAT increase). For those who earn enough, allow yourself to enjoy the sunny terrace.

Beautifully situated: from the terrace you have a view of the harbor and the Hollands Diep. In the dark, Moerdijk on the other side is magically lit. And of course great food! Especially the spare ribs are recommended!
