3 times in 10 years. It is the best starred restaurant I know. The garden is magnificent. The old white American car parked on the porch. Magnificent. And the big boss who welcomes you from the top of his .... 90years? About. Grand. A festival of cooking flavors and perfectly mastered recipes: THE INTERNATIONAL CLASS! .

Incredible experience mixing tradition and modernity. An unforgettable dinner!

We have had lunch several times at the hostel. We do not get tired of the beautiful surroundings and the meal and service are always excellent. We find the decision of Michelin Guide incomprehensible and we will return with great pleasure to treat us as usual.

I last ate at this restaurant in 1980. On this year's trip to France we invited two other couples and had what ended up as an almost three hour lunch. I made reservations on the internet a couple of months in advance. The setting of the restaurant is stunning, on the Ile river that runs through Alsace, ending in the Rhine River in Strasbourg. Weeping willow trees, patios, birds and flowers are the setting along the river that we looked out on. Lunch is not cheap. We all had the menu at 95 euro, but it was the event of our trip to France and well worth it. We started with an amuse bouche that included a terrific sauce and a submerged small piece of cod. Our starters (salmon, lobster and perch) were all excellent, the main courses (pigeon, lamb and pork) were amazing and the desserts sumptuous. We started with a 50 euro bottle of Alsatian Pinot Gris, and had an 85 euro Bordeaux with the main courses. Cookies came out to each of us before dessert, and after dessert, house made chocolats in 6-8 types were offered. Top this with coffee and you could roll us out. We took a walk in the garden, seeing a Stork pair flying around and eating with a handful of ducks and watching the river slide by. A truly wonderful experience and the reason this has been a Michelin fhree star restaurant for over 30 years.

Wonderful experience! Obviously, the budget is important, but ultimately, in line with the result! The setting, like the service and the dishes are of a very very high standard!

It's a shame there are not enough stars, the inspector of the guide was to be depressed on the day of his arrival or he is a poor type embittered by life and the chance he had to rub the stars, we were there this afternoon to the 60th anniversary of my father was the second time, the setting for this fabulous renovation, the menu mastered to perfection and finally the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff, and finally we were accompanied by my son 14 months and clearly the house Haeberlin welcomes children with pleasure and respect. The Auberge de I'lll is a fine dining restaurant. At the reception, the chef (Marc Haeberlin 2 Michelin *) personally welcomed. The restaurant inside is very modern equipped. The atmosphere is pleasant. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. Every course met my taste.

Dessert dish dessert overall disappointing compared to what I expected from such a reputable restaurant. Especially the dish: poultry and its baekaoffa: a roast chicken presented whole and cut in front of us, the nets placed on the plate accompanied by vegetables in a pot ... then the thigh served ceasar salad way .... Frankly without any looking for presentation and ultra banal. I was really expecting something else for such a restaurant. I could have done that myself ... 195 euros the chicken all the same ...
The starter and the dessert good but nothing like that ... I eat the equivalent in restaurants without stars
Fortunately the service was impeccable ... Good at 300 euros per head it can already ...

How is it that the Auberge de l'Ill still has 3 macaroons at Michelin? I can not believe it again.
This leaves one dreaming about the honesty, the impartiality of those who are responsible for awarding the rewards.
While the setting is very nice, but the plate (presentation and content) is not up to the 3 macaroons.

An essential place for both the eyes and the taste buds. A romantic dinner for our unforgettable first anniversary! We took the tradition menu, it was a pure delight ... with great room service !!!!

This is by far the best restaurant I've ever visited and a few levels above other 3 star Michelin restaurants. I had the tasting menu and I'm celiac, they made changes for me but my partner was super jealous as the menu I got looked even better( which, never happens with gluten free food, usually I just get less food with less items on my plate). The peach dessert was the best dessert I've ever had. Everything about this place is just magical

My wife and I had lunch at the Il Hostel we had a good time but as soon as we entered the establishment we did not have the time to indulge in places a huge crowd of waiters took us to our table service was professional but mechanical as an overplayed score without human warmth kitchen side being the job I could pick up some disappointing point for a three-star namely the white butter of the puffed salmon was medium-level tomato dumplings to taste concentrated pigeon juice not very tasty and the accompaniment of this dish without interest instead of these vegetables I would have preferred a risotto small au gratin or other attaches importance to the composition of a dish for me fish or meat should be served with little vegetables more feculent in plate proportions with regard to dessert I preferred by far a well-mastered classic baba millefeui The chocolate cake that a pastry experience out of context for me the taste and very important the noble products are not mandatory as truffle caviar it makes you climb the bill while you can have fun with other products a little fish stew with morels for example the loss of this star can guide you on the way to a more authentic kitchen consistent with the family past of this beautiful house, good luck family haeberlin ,,

We went there to buy a voucher to give away for a French friend's birthday. Very friendly welcome and very good service. We were made to feel welcome and invited to wait on the terrace for the voucher to be issued.

Not necessarily customary starred restaurants, we dreaded a little to go with our daughter of 5 years and yet everything went perfectly, the service is impeccable and attentive without being continuously behind you. For our daughter a dish has been specially prepared. As for us the meal was simply grandiose, visual wonder and taste, just sublime, to do if you have the opportunity.
