Everthing was Just great and I enjoyed my weekend here
Everything was great. Only making a luggage rack guarded would have been nice
Not modern, but very pleasant. Great sleep & excellent breakfast!
Staff were a bit understaffed, very unfortunate, one cannot put all the details in the i ... otherwise fine to our liking.
Beautifully situated hotel in a quiet part of Ameland. Ideal for walking and cycling. Spacious rooms but dated. Wifi free. Staff welcoming and friendly.
Fortunately, we only had to stay one night in this Fletcher, because we would not have liked longer. We had a very dirty room where the spider webs were still hanging from the ceiling. The dust also fell from the extractor in the bathroom and there was also dust between the heating. I wonder if it is ever bothered to clean the room properly. Really a lot of dust to find, while that can be easily removed.
Rooms are generally ok, but not enough light. The bathrooms could get some improvement. The staff does not speak a word in English. However, everybody speaks german. Not the most friedly and welcoming guys are working here. Breakfast quality is fine.
Good hotel and very friendly staff.
It is good to be here.
Very good cuisine.
Nice hotel, a delicious breakfast buffet. Nice rooms.
Great hotel, nice terrace, nice service, spacious room, and not least important good beds.
Yes, Gastefreundlich.Das food restaurant is good, but overpriced.
The building is old-fashioned. Friendly staff. Too bad we were assigned a (cold and old) apartment instead of the hotel room that we had booked. Even more unfortunate that the beds were not comfortable (saggy, with a big hole in it) so I didn't sleep well for two nights. The breakfast was also delicious, nice fresh bread and a wide selection.
Really recommended ...
staff know who you are and what you want.
Hotel room looked and more than fine.
And the food was wonderfully tasty
The hotel in general is somewhat dated and could use a makeover. The rooms are spacious, clean and have good beds. At breakfast you have a wide selection and fresh bread with various hot and cold drinks. The food in the restaurant is very tasty but the service disorganized so we had to wait over an hour for the main course.
Facilities and cleanliness for a 4-star hotel unfortunately not enough. Delicious breakfast buffet and menu in the evening. At dinner very long waits.
Ben arrived today. We have an apartment. Looks good with a nice terrace. Also I have to discover more of the week at the end of the week I write more.
We have been coming here for years. Rooms are always neat and recently renovated
The over walked only to operate, there were with Hap and Trap. He apologized several times that it took so long. The carpaccio was delicious.
It was a very nice hotel. Also with a very nice swimming pool.
We really enjoyed it, very dog friendly. We are very well helped by the staff despite the staff shortage. We will definitely come back again.
found some smelly blood stains on both covers in a standard double room.... very disappointing
Hotel is now somewhat dated, you notice that mainly in the bathroom and the decoration outside of the building and grounds. Bathroom is really out of this time, shower curtain, mold on ceiling, the cold button of the tap did not work for us, was stuck, and the shower head in the bath was virtually no pressure.
The rooms are very noisy, especially noise from above you hear too well.
There are also pluses, the room we had was clean, very spacious and the bed was fine, though the mattresses were different (firm from me, my wife very soft).
The WIFI is free and the internet is fast.
The pool is clean and the breakfast very tasty.
With a great offer you can spend the night in this hotel for a modest amount.
Rented apartment:
- very noisy, noise from above neighbors and hall. "Constant noise from extractor in bedroom at night (strange place)
- bathtub, badly damaged.
- showering in a bathtub with shower curtain, dangerous and out of date. (1980?)
- very dusty heating.
- broken TV.
- no view.
- no privacy. Not even when whispering.
Hotel:
- poor breakfast, not worthy of 4-stars.
Conclusion: very bad experience.
Grade: 4.
Nice room, friendly staff. Full breakfast buffet. A minus point, the sliced sandwiches were drying out. There was a fresh bread that you could cut yourself.
Did not stay here this time but did use restaurant. Located on walking and cycling route. Bus stop in front of the door.
Dated, dingy carpet, noisy, showering in the bath with a shower curtain, not really 4 star. I have experienced the staff as friendly, but the hotel could use a major makeover.
Nice hotel with many facilities. Apartments to rent separately. Everything neat and clean. The lighthouse, the beach, Hollum within walking distance (500-1000 meter). It is a pity that you have to pay for the use of the facilities (swimming pool 5.00 per day regardless of whether or not you use this, squash court 6.00 per half hour, sauna). Breakfast: price / quality ratio is skewed. For 16.50 per person I expect more choice.
It is very clear I have been in the apartment and there are beautiful streets and houses really recommended it is nice close to the sea and the lighthouse
So-so. The island is very beautiful, but this apartment complex needs to be RENOVATED - it cannot be described as COMFORTABLE or INVITING. Too bad. We felt particularly uncomfortable in the apartments, long, long corridors until you stood in front of the door, everything seemed - hmm, not quite up to date. NA then - we will certainly not be back. There are nicer quarters on Ameland.
Room was stuffy (flat roof) no air conditioning, reception did nothing about it
Even for country category this hotel did not deserve 4 stars. We stayed for 2 weeks in a double room. The floor was completely worn out, the bathroom was calcified and there were scratches from the back of the furniture or the taps of the vacuum cleaner. In the room itself there was no minibar or fridge to cool your own drinks.
The breakfast was really the same every day. No variety and the scrambled eggs were inedible and looked more like a baked sponge. In addition, the chairs were worn and stained, as were in the entire two weeks in the dining room the various stains from the walls.
The pool is unfortunately more suitable for children in bad weather. Sauna costs extra, 10 per person and hour (!).
On our complaint we were only informed, we could fill the feedback form by mail, otherwise it was very indifferent. The front desk is mostly unoccupied, instead you have to call from there to speak to someone.
Overall, this was our worst stay on Ameland so far and is not recommended in any way until it has been refurbished and the staff has been increased.
Had a wonderful high tea, very extensive. And very tasty.
No linens are included, you have to pay for linens and towels or bring your own. There's no soap in the bathroom (hello corona). I don't mind paying more but why not include the linen price in the price of the lodging is beyond me.
Nice location but dated renovation would be allowed !!
Dirty floor covering in the rooms and a very outdated bathroom where you cannot shower while standing
This evening had dinner at Fletcher Hotel Ameland. Apartments rented through Eilandverhuur are great.
Fletcher's restaurant was a big disappointment. Even had to pay a supplement for a dish that would only apply for a menu. Not so. It turned out to be an error on the map. The staff agreed on their own couldn't fix it. Unfortunately.
Very, very outdated hotel. Photos of the apartments look good on the website, but upon arrival you will be allocated a completely different apartment than in the photos. There is old dark blue carpet on the stairs and the bedrooms. Not hygienic! The bathroom is very outdated, chipped joints and a bath in which you have to take a shower, shielded with a shower curtain. The bathroom is therefore not shown on the photos of the website where you can book. Only 1 toilet which is upstairs in the bathroom. A very old kitchen and old dusty stoves. A fabric sofa full of stains, which we just put a large bath towel over. And got dirty bed linen twice. So went to another hotel prematurely. This hotel is definitely not worth 4 stars! As far as I'm concerned the worst hotel I've ever been. Time for a very big renovation here.
Great place, really urban chic. Excellent service and delicious dishes. Super!
Great room, nice and spacious and beautiful view. The waitress, on the other hand, was very unkind and not customer friendly.
Expedia had screwed up our reservation, but we got another room and an upgrade without any fuss. Hotel is a bit dated, but all in all a great place. Breakfast buffet is fine!
Needs significant investment. Everything is old and finished. Breakfast is a mockery. Spacious clean rooms
Hotel nice and well cared for.
But the weather here.br br br
Came back today and had a nice holiday on Ameland, but not thanks to the Ameland Cape !! Our room was far from clean and a 4 **** hotel is supposed to have a minibar in the room
Not here, after a complaint about the dirty toilet we were told that we should have taken a picture of it ..... Now we were not taken at our word!
The beds were not made, only slammed, we were allowed to do the making ourselves.
Breakfast was decent but not "great".
In short, they will not see us again in this hotel.

Very nice service and helpful staff. Apartment bedroom for kids, not 20 year olds like me.
Dated interior
Very friendly staff.
Lamps defective in various places.
Fortunately a beautiful island.
Very noisy when you come in a 2-room apartment, keep in mind that you can wake up early by stamping over your head
Great hotel. Price / quality good. Operation can be friendlier and more polite.
Nice apartment. Friendly people. Very annoying that you have to buy towel pallets. I don't quite agree with other residences that it looks outdated. It is stylish, for a middle and higher sigment
Good service, nice room, affordable. We opted to have dinner somewhere else, but the breakfast was fine.
Slept well over the night, and ate. I really didn't like that and my husband uncle didn't
Great location, but dated and not very clean rooms.
At the end of January, 3 pm you can only leave your room, while there were only 10 guests.
After the first night the room was not cleaned and no clean towels.
20:40 We wanted a bite to eat, we were told the kitchen was closed, we could still get croquettes.
At 10:00 pm you can check again.
Hospitality is not a high priority, sorry.
Hotel is reasonable, rooms spacious but old-fashioned.
Terrace is filthy with lots of junk on the ground just sweeping the street and taking care of plants.
Good hotel nice rooms warm welcome and very dog friendly
Great, a lot of possibilities there. Also suitable for children.
The hotel is in a good location. Rooms are outdated. No mini bar in the room, no air conditioning or fan, food was mediocre
The breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is dated but that has its charm. The hotel is very noisy and you have to shower in a bath with a shower curtain. The doors also open and close very heavily, making a lot of noise when it closes. The hotel is centrally located.
Hotel is OK. But waiter in restaurant very inhospitable and rude
Bar bad. The only bright spot was the reception and an Armenian employee in the restaurant. Room was full of black mold attack, the hotel has hardly any ventilation in rooms and restaurant, smokers have their place in the entrance, swimming pool is full of flies and is otherwise not fresh, the entire team clearly cannot handle the task and that in a fairly quiet period. Do not do this hotel, take one of the many other options on this island.
Old junk. We had said a luxurious room. That was terribly disappointing. There was a kettle, nothing more. Cups I took myself and bought tea. Laundry with balcony or outside area. Buitenplaats you could not use. They were working. Complained but the shoulders were picked up. Waste of money.
Stayed two nights at the hotel. Great rooms, large and tidy. Free WiFi, access to swimming pool. At 10 meters from the bus stop. Very friendly staff, good breakfast.
Tried this hotel with the promotion of the day. Spent 3 days. The hotel is fine. The rooms are large and the beds are good and also extra large. The furniture is unfortunately old-fashioned. It looks a bit like a mess. Anyway it's clean and that's the most important thing. The facilities in the hotel are very good. The pool is large, the sauna is cheap and there are plenty of places to relax. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel and the village is within walking distance.
The breakfast is good and extensive. There are healthy and unhealthy options but certainly something for everyone!
We had dinner here one evening. It is a three-course menu for 34.50 euros. The food was good, tasty and prepared with local produce. A bit on the pricey side, but you quickly have that on an island.
All in all, I give it four stars. Because of the facilities and quality of food. I would rather give the room 2-3 stars.
In the pigsty it is hygienic ... dirty carpet .... dirty slices .. spotty couch ..... endreiniging should cost 40 eur .... we did not pay because we did not know what the final cleaning costs should be , , .da because there is not cleaned ..... three German tv stations ..... in the clock missing batteries ... no toilet paper .... the four stars they have made themselves at a craft lesson itself ... too expensive for the pigsty .... never again
Good hotel, friendly people, great room. Enough facilities available, extensive breakfast, in short, a pleasant stay.
It looked good despite the fact that it is a beautiful old building
A hotel with a friendly staff who are willing to deal with any inconvenience immediately. The hotel itself is partly worn. Breakfast and lunch are alright can be eaten daily. Dinner is a small card and a bit too small for me to have dinner every day. On the whole, I can recommend the hotel werder, still advise against it.
Average hotel with functional rooms. The entrance and the decor and atmosphere in the restaurant look warm and cozy with the Christmas lights. The breakfast buffet is ok but not special either.
The water from the pool was very cold and therefore not pleasant. The provision of towels was scanty, first 2 small towels and later 2 large ones, but we were 3 people.
Staff were friendly but also very defensive and avoiding.
Given the offers from Fletcher the price - quality ratio is ok in our case.
Kind staff but for a 4 star hotel and 110 per night, you expect a bit more of the rooms. Can use an update. Restaurant and bar have a great ambiance.
unfriendly staff, terribly dated hotel, downright bad breakfast, both quality and shape, tick on an A4 what you want and then get the wrong thing too, room already very hot in moderate summer weather, no air conditioning or refrigerator, never come again, beds were ok, though
Great place, we had a spacious room that is always nice. People are very helpful.
Restaurant is terribly bad, raw meat, indicated that I have allergies and it is still on my plate, cold and hard potatoes. And this is not the first time and still pay 19.50
