Reading some of the comments, I wonder if a lot of people don't want to sit in ringside for a dime. I do not recognize these reactions. The hotel is not super luxurious, but it is a nice simple hotel with very friendly staff who even in these times make an effort for the guest and treat everyone with the warmest possible heart.
The room was spacious and clean, with smooth laminate flooring throughout. There is no minibar, but if you want to keep something cold, you can discuss this with the reception. Fresh towels were provided and beds made during our stay. The bathroom was clean and had a bath, a toilet and a spacious sink. There is a shower curtain in the bath, I see people complaining about it, I think that is special. The shower curtain was clean and everything was nice and fresh.
The breakfast was good, there were croissants and there was fresh bread, lots of fruit and cottage cheese, yogurt, spreads (sweet and savory), coffee, tea, juices, various muesli, scrambled eggs and boiled egg, bacon, pancakes and hot tomato and go so on. And here too the staff were friendly! For the road we ordered a drink box, delicious with some small snacks in it and nice to take with you on a bike ride. They also have take-out lunches.
Dinner was good, not excellent, but good, tasty, relaxed and sufficient.
The hotel has a good location, within walking distance of the beach, Hollum, the lighthouse and the hollumer bos. A wonderful location to stay and from here to explore the entire island.
One note, if you offer something you also have to make sure it is correct; we called around half past eight for room service. On the phone, the reception told us that they could not put us through and whether we could come down and order it ourselves. No room service for us.
And okay, a minus. The hotel is noisy, you can hear people walking and slamming doors, but not in such a way that you do not sleep or that and a continuous stream of noise pollution.
