For us a great week. Nice apartments. Have been there more often.

Despite all the negative reviews great hotel. Spotless, although somewhat dated but the price is there too. Friendly staff, nothing wrong with that.

Appartment a bit older. But for a short break totally o.k.

Location of the hotel is okay, everything within walking distance shall we say. You don't have to be here for the phenomenal view. Hotel itself is dated, may well be renovated. Our room was directly above the kitchen of the Hotel, as a result there was a lot of noise from 7 in the morning until after 11 in the evening. Sounds from the upper floor were also heard (footsteps and the like). Unfortunately not really recommended ...

The food was nice but then I threw up all night from the food. I was not allergic to what I ate so probably food poisoning.

The service is excellent, but the staff is very rushed around so you can hardly speak to them. When I came by the next day to say I had food poisoning the staff didn't really respond. Hence this review.

Location to the beach is great pool is great rooms are great just a pity that you have to purchase a towel package separately

Relatively old hotel, would have to be made a lot of times new. Breakfast OK, but if you come later not much there. Reception was rarely occupied and badly informed: 'until when is breakfast? Oh, I have to ask Mal for a second '. Overall, too expensive for the offered, but clean and large rooms, with only 5 min to the beach by bike, quite solid location

We had super nice days, what is Ameland beautiful! The hotel is a bit dated, but the people are friendly. Nice pool. Deliciously 'powdered' the muscle pain. Last night hassle with fire alarm, luckily false alarm, but very shocked. Is 4 stars, but I was missing something. Eg. Kettle in room for tea or coffee. Breakfast was fine, dinner reasonable.

Starter lamb ham with salad and main course Dorade was excellent.

Hospitality is TOP! After a phone call about checking in, I was allowed to bring the luggage well before the check-in time. After checking out, the luggage could also be placed in a room. And it was offered that we could use the room except the room.

I read in several reviews about the staff. I think very differently about this. Wait staff offers to take pictures and help people if there are any questions.

The pool is nice, breakfast really good! This made up for a lot after a 1 less pleasant "Fletcher" visit.

Downside is that there were many mosquitoes that were beaten to death on the wall. But this was reported in the cleaning. Of course I don't know now whether it will be resolved, but it was a very pleasant conversation. What also struck me is that sometimes towels are not clean. But this is a "Fletcher" problem, and it probably has more to do with the bed linen and towel cleaning company. As a Flechter, I would have a solid conversation about this.

Furthermore, a very pleasant stay. And I hope I can come back!

Good and quiet location. Fine eaten in the restaurant.

For the price ( 160 per night) the room is unreasonable. Too bad.

14 February overnight with partner and dog. Find most reviews severely outdone. We had a "dog" room. You can see that some dog owners are a little less educational with their animals, but the hotel cannot be blamed for that.

Yes it is dated but in my opinion everything you need is there. Think it just depends on how high your requirement is. The beds are wonderfully situated. The beer tasted fine and the food was well prepared.
Breakfast was neat enough selection in sandwiches, spreads, fruit etc.

- tip of the sauna is pricey 10 euros p / p / p / h.
- restaurant service in the evening got off to a slow start. No humor.

Staff is very concerned about the well-being of the guests, unfortunately, the rooms and sauna are very old.

The location of the hotel is good. Hotel looks beautiful and natural from the outside. Inside, the hotel is very out dated. Reception by the staff was excellent and the service during the stay the same.
We received a free upgrade from a hotel room to an apartment. Unfortunately the apartment was very old fashioned and in need of maintenance and an upgrade. The bath was so worn that we did not use it. The apartment looks as if nothing has changed for 20 years. The apartment was clean.
The facilities in the hotel are very good and have a nice swim in the indoor pool.
Due to the location and the hospitality still had a nice stay.

We booked an apartment for 2 + dog. Top renovated, clean and all very friendly. The place can be reached in 10 minutes, the beach in 20 minutes on foot, but actually everyone goes by bike. We would come back anytime.

We booked double bedroom comfort with bath & balcony for 133 euro.
Whole room was in dead mosquitoes bodies, everywhere. View of the room & dirty carpets you can see on pictures. View from the balcony - to garbage boxes. Till 3 to 6 at night we didn t sleep at all - were catching mosquitoes in our room. Looks like it s high season & hotel management doesn t care at all of how their guests feel, so if you have opportunity & don t want to spoil your staying on an island, select another place to stay.
We will never come back in this hotel chain

Friendly staff, great food, but there are rooms that need to be refurbished, and there was a moldy odor in the corridor that I really didn't like.

A quiet but dated hotel a fifteen minute walk from the beach and the village. Swimming pool opens late (9 a.m.) to have a nice swim before breakfast.

The meeting room was very cold. The coffee and hot water was served in the same thermos, everything had a yellow cap. How can you keep the jugs apart so that the taste is not affected.

Have been here twice after visiting Div Ameland. However not in the hotel but in one of the apartments which are next to the hotel! And it certainly wasn't the last time. With 5 people and dog, we found a good place to stay for New Year's holidays. The advantage here is clearly that we were able to rent an apartment with our dog. And of course the hotel's small swimming pool. The children can splash around in the water until 11 p.m. and come to the apartments without leaving the building. The facilities (table tennis, squash) of the hotel can also be used. The restaurant with the bar and the fireplace in the lobby invite you to linger. The facility is located on the outskirts of Hollum. The town center can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. The beach is also easy to reach on foot or by bike. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. In summer, a bike rental company operates a base at the facility. The apartments are rented by different providers, so you cannot make a general statement about the quality of the individual apartments. Our provider has z. B. The bathroom was recently completely renewed. Administration is carried out by BeVeko, who also operate a base in the facility. The apartments are not part of the hotel. Overall a great facility. We will definitely not have been here the last time.

Basically a great hotel with friendly service. The hotel does show some aging here and there, such as the bath / shower combination. The hotel rooms are also showing clear signs of aging. The furniture really needs to be replaced. Also no double beds. However, the beds are good. The breakfast was only fair.

De aankomst op de kamer viel tegen. Op de gang was het warmer dan op de kamer. Snel de kachel aan voor warmte. Dus geen warm ontvangst .Vieze plekken in tapijt. Onder het ramen. lekkage plekken. Voor oudere mensen geen aanrader ivm dat ze in bad moeten staan om te douchen. Mag er 3 nachten slapen dus misschien komt er ook nog wat positiefs. Ps is wel een aanbieding maar dat mag voor mij niks uitmaken. Tot het volgende bericht. Hier het tweede bericht. Na 3 nachten lekker slapen en 3 keer ontbijt wat positief bericht. Slapen was goed. Ontbijt was goed. Eten was ook goed. En het personeel was ook goed.

It is a wooden hotel so you can hear the upstairs neighbors stamping enormously. Location is fantastic. Wonderful hiking opportunities. Shower spray was very weak, you hardly got wet. Look and feel a bit dated. Breakfast was ok.

Well-kept apartment (Amelander Kaap) with all the trimmings. There is also a swimming pool (for use by hotel and apartment guests) with a depth of 1.40 meters. Stay is worth repeating.

The complex as well as the rooms are very clean and nicely arranged. It's not high-class but a very cozy facility. The staff is extremely friendly and you feel very well looked after.
The only small point of criticism were actually the beds. These are very comfortable box spring beds but unfortunately they are not connected to each other, so that a bed slips away on the floor when you turn. In addition, items of clothing from a previous tenant (obviously with a child) were found in a closet. But that was more funny than annoying and there were 2 yoghurts in the fridge.
All in all, however, very recommendable beautiful facility in a great location with a nice staff. Gladly again.

The breakfast was okay, but filet american which was out of date. This was taken down after we said this, but nothing new was posted.
Dinner was just bad, served differently from what was on the menu. Dame blanche with cold chocolate sauce while on the menu it says with hot chocolate sauce. Entrecote for 22, - without baked potatoes / fries or vegetables. Fat prices, which doesn't match the quality and quantity of the food. For the children you could choose a cuddly toy, which was broken the next day without having been played with it. This was already the 2nd says the lady behind the counter, well then you will not sell them anymore, dangerous because of the risk of suffocation! Rooms are okay, but still miss a fridge in the room. We also missed the option to have a cup of coffee or tea in the room. The bathroom was okay in itself, not luxurious but hardly any water pressure, which is very annoying if you want to take a shower. All in all an expensive stay, which was not worth it to us, price / quality is totally out of proportion. They will not see us again!

We were in a private apartment whose bedroom had no windows so no fresh air. Huge additional costs, few towels per person, so we could not swim, for which we had paid. Worn remote control so you had to guess what to press, loose sheet instead of fitted sheet, very annoying. Desolate building. Restaurant unfortunately not good.

Neat hotel, could have some freshening up here and there, but otherwise fine.

Fresh bathroom and good bed. The rooms were very clean and the location is perfect. We walked to the hotel from the boat.
We were asked if we wanted an upgrade to a room with a sea view.
Unfortunately, had no time for the pool. Maybe next time. Worth repeating given the location, the room and the breakfast.

You pay a pretty high price, but you also get something in return. For example a good breakfast, where everything is free and fairly extensive. It is also nice that the table tennis table and the swimming pool are free. However, you pay the top prize for other things such as the tennis or squash court.

Well located hotel. Bus stops right outside. Professional staff. Restaurant on the pricey side but well looked after. Rooms are good and big enough but not great. Pillows too thick (this is very personal by the way). Internet fine. Dogs allowed, but all afternoon with such a squeaky / howling dog in the lounge is a bit too much. Breakfast until 11:00 and very extensive.
Optically the rooms seem clean, if you look a bit further, it could use some cleaning. There is a nice swimming pool where you can swim ...

Wonderful hotel where we have been for 25 years, good room, nice bed, balcony and as a service the requested kettle! Nice staff always!
BUT ..... the restaurant is not what we expected it to be. At 6.30 at the table and at 10 to 9 FROM the table! While we are normally always on the News! The service was sweet, but things are not going well in the kitchen. You also have to pay 5 euros extra with the dinner voucher because it is a 4 * restaurant .... well, it clearly isn't! Had simple set menu food, so the cook could have had it ready for hours. Not good food because angry !!!
Next evening in dopr, too bad!

Bad experience in breakfast room and restaurant. Supplementing breakfast buffet only happens after request and with a grumpy look. Restaurant manager heavy insufficient. Drinks beer in sight and during service. Order is completely forgotten and only prepared upon request. No apologies or sorry, but the drinks are free as compensation for the very long wait.

Great a friendly people. Everything is very old, but clean! Just don't expect to much and you will be fine.

Hotel with camping experience ... Dated around 1980 and afterwards everything has remained the same (including staff). Its certainly friendly. Rooms old and musty. No windows that can open. Hotel looks decayed, breakfast is ok but noisy due to old wooden chairs and hard surfaces. Floors of rooms are made of wood, so you can hear everything that is happening above you ... Decor pine, brown. Where the 4 stars come from is beyond me. No bikes at the hotel so walk to the village, it was very clear that they had agreements with Nobel. Asked which had the most offer, that was Nobel. Once rented a bike and less than 200 meters further a large bike rental with much more offer. Such as the requested e-scooter, which they did not have and supposedly nobody ...

Dinner was mediocre. Environment corny and totally different than the beautiful advertisements in Business Class when it comes to Fletcher hotels!

Delicious breakfast! Very noisy apartment number 97. The lamp rattled by the 'upstairs neighbors' who were walking around there. Very friendly staff.

Definitely not worth a **** - with a lot of effort 2 **.
Too bad, Fletcher group, the hotel has a lot of potential.

Entire device:
- hotel is dated and in my opinion should be renovated quickly, otherwise customers will continue to feel cheated and stay away.

Hygiene leaves something to be desired:
- the fabric upholstery of the dining room seats were all !!! (and it looks like it has been for a while) very dirty, brrrrr. but have apparently been renewed - only after complaints from guests.
- Spider webs in and under the lampshades on the windowsills in the dining room ....
- The food was fine, but the dinner was ruined by the shabby look of the restaurant.
Oh yes, the dish at dinner on the 2nd night was very different from what was ordered (mistake by the staff ...); It could be exchanged, but then my 2 table mates would already have finished their plates and had dessert. As compensation - in addition to an excuse - the beer that was consumed was offered by the hotel.
- A gloomy older waitress, or she didn't have her day (s) ....

Definitely not advertising the Fletcher hotels ....
For us certainly not a second time to Fletcher Amelander Kaap.

Just sat on the terrace. I don't necessarily have to stay here. The interior is old-fashioned institutional. Toilets are uncomfortably furnished (taps / soap / drying /). Coffee not great. A very good place for beach / dune lovers.

We rented an apartment from a private individual, it was clean, tastefully and carefully furnished and we lacked nothing. We have not used the facilities offered such as breakfast or swimming pool. It was nice and quiet in the Ameland Cape in the off-season, we wondered how it would be in high season with all rooms, apartments, corridors, floors, outdoor terraces and balloons so close together. Now hardly encountered noise.
The Amelander Kaap is conveniently located just outside the village of Hollum, where the lighthouse stands, and 8 minutes walking or cycling distance 8 minutes from the beach. The village offers various shops and good restaurants. Great place to stay and stay.

Nicely located, but old hotel. Luxury is hard to find. Not good value for money

Friendly service. The excellent breakfast ensures a good start into the day. Decor somewhat dated.

One day before we arrived here we received an email that the pool was closed due to technical problems, unfortunately we have not received any compensation for this. After saying that we got the bill under the nose that we had already paid. The bathroom is also full of mold and everything squeaks and does.

We stayed for 1 night. For the price the facilities could use a renewal. The rooms are dark, the evelator scary and some things don't look so well maintained. The personnel and the people working there where great. Top quality services and quite ok food. In short: 3 for the facilities, 4 for the personnel and services and 3 for the money for quality.

It seems like a self-service restaurant, first nobody comes to ask what we would like to drink, we asked at the bar (where there are many flies). Then we forgot the bitter garnish, we asked at the bar. And then also half-warm bitter garnish, perfectly arranged here!

Information about getting in and out is not correct, the beds where not at the same height, or I would personally never book anything here again.

By far the MOST DIRTY hotel we've ever been! Dust on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom, big (blood) stains on the walls, a too dirty carpet, white stains on the mirror, the floor not cleaned, bed linen and towels stained and so on.

We have taken pictures of everything and reported it to the reception. There we were told that it had not been properly cleaned and that we were given a different room. We were allowed to go back to "our" room and wait there.

At one point there was a knock on the room door and after opening the door the key to the other room was pressed into our hands. No excuses or anything.

In the "new" room it was exactly the same song. What a drama!

If you go to this hotel I would be well vaccinated if I were you!
