Dated restaurant / hotel, not atmospheric but ok for 1 night.

Good hotel food and breakfast were great friendly staff

All very neat. Both apartment and dining. Also gratefully made use of the swimming pool during colder days

The hotel is in dire need of a thorough modernization. Staff is friendly but too much is dated. The price is therefore there. I'd rather spend a little more in another place.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Had a nice room with bath. Both breakfast and dinner were fine.

Beautiful apartments and well arranged with bicycle. Very noisy, friendly staff. Recommended with children who also make a lot of noise themselves. Corona proof, large corridors are a bit tight, also a swimming pool for the kids.

Good hotel however, the rooms and the entire hotel are very dated. Room doors still go with a large key bunch and hallways are quite noisy. Breakfast was great. Location is somewhat unfavorable. Public transport is then a good option.

Nice place to spend the night, nice location, 10 minutes walk from the sea, good bed.

Poorly ventilated, mold in bathroom, food half served (afterwards say they don't have the other ingredients), unfriendly wait staff.

Everything spotless, room smells neutral no weird smells & we have a room where dogs are allowed, compliments.
And absolutely not expensive to book.
If breakfast is also neatly provided tomorrow, we will definitely come back.

N very poor service. Unfriendly and often not to be found. Nice bed and spacious rooms. Good food. But the staff does not top the experience. Second experience with Fletcher. Both poor by staff. I think that the staff is treated badly and that the work pleasure is removed. Very sorry. Fletcher. I'm giving up.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms. Friendly staff who stayed calm during the busy evening meal. the pool is nice and warm, but it might have been nice if there had been heat lamps above the sunbeds. It was cold outside now .... But I enjoyed the stay. Oh yes the breakfast was great too!

at the time of the shutdown of the restaurants we were guests of fletcher amelander cape. What a top staff that handles this acute situation correctly, this hotel has to say. We were served our every need and certainly did not fall short. Walking buffet breakfast is served on the room door on serving carts. We were allowed to choose what we wanted to eat, and in the evening a very good alternative menu was offered at a reduced rate. All this of course offered through room service. Even my birthday was picked up nicely by this fantastic staff. We were even offered apple pie with whipped cream from the house. chapeau.

A true experience were for the first time on Ameland. The hotel was fine at first we had problems with the apartment because my wife is disabled. But the 2nd day that was fine solved by the manager. We have had 4 fantastic days. an excellent package from this hotel. We will definitely come back again.

Nice, well located hotel with large rooms although a little dated. Large outdoor areas to enjoy aperitifs and breakfasts, a beautiful heated indoor pool, a public bus at 100 meters and a bicycle rental place within walking distance.

What a bad and outdated hotel! And if that is not enough, stiff and totally non-customer-oriented staff! I'll never come back. I prefer to book another hotel on Ameland.

Hotel and restaurant is "in the years" come and needs urgent renovation. Unfortunately, the personnel is very low. There can be significant delays. The few staff is friendly and helpful, unfortunately 150% charged.

We stayed in a nice big room. The decoration of the room was basic but everything was there what was needed. The room and the beds were clean. We were here on New Year's Eve and everyone in the restaurant and reception took good care of us. The location of the hotel is great. You can walk to the beach. There is a bus stop outside the hotel. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and on Ameland. We will definitely be back.

The pool was unfortunately closed. Despite having a very nice time. Friendly staff, very rich breakfast and nice beds. The beach was about a half-hour walk, so not very close. Furthermore, top!

Amelander Kaap is centrally located in the west of Ameland. A large parking lot for guests is located right next to the hotel. The rooms are comfortably furnished. Also visitors with dog (s) are always welcome.

Really not 4 stars! More 1 star. Never been to such a bad Fletcher hotel. Pool mold on the ceiling. Bathroom downright nasty. Staff very unfriendly. Not recommended, not books!

Location is great. It's in walking distance of Hollum and the lighthouse and beach aren't so far either. The rooms are clean, but a little dated. Some of the rooms have a nice view on the lighthouse which is a plus. So although everything feels like you've just stepped out of a time-machine to the past, I don't really have anything to complain about.

Nice area not far to the beach certainly not if you have a bike, 1h simple sauna for 10 , swimming pool small but nice, staff friendly

Gezellig hotel met vriendelijk personeel en goede faciliteiten.

clean spacious room with good beds, great shower and a freshly filled tasty breakfast buffet.
A free cup of coffee while waiting after the checkout was also greatly appreciated.
Will definitely come again with hopefully less rain .;)

We rented an apartment here.
It's just outside of Hollum. But doable while running.
Complex is equipped with all amenities. Nice swimming pool, tennis court, restaurant and bar.
Everything for a pleasant stay.

August 30, a day and night Ameland, it stormed and rained a lot.
We had deliberately chosen a hotel where we could also have a bite to eat, so that we would not have to go outside in this weather.
A little after 20:00 we wanted to have dinner, took a while for them to come to us to offer a table, we were casually told they were full (while I saw a few more empty tables)
And we could not wait it seemed, no we just had to go to the village to have a bite to eat (10 min walk in the storm and rain)
We were really perplexed! Huh? Are they really saying this?
We are absolutely no bastards, but we have never experienced anything like this before!
Reported it to reception next day, they were very compassionate, they would pass this on to the manager.
Now more than 2 weeks later, nothing heard again! We regret that!

Great location, close to the beach! Unfortunately a fairly old hotel, so we had a lot of trouble with pounding neighbors upstairs at night and in the morning. The decor is dated and the hair dryer in the bathroom comes from an aged jug. Furthermore, the hotel pool was cold and the food in the restaurant quite simple.

Definitely not worthy of 3 stars!

We had half board but the food is very bad. pork tenderloin was dry steak with ketjap sauce and stir-fry vegetables was burned and 2 days the same raw food no ordinary vegetables the cheese board with raw food the apricots were not to bite and no cutlery at the cheese board

A good hotel. Very friendly staff. A bit dated. May use renovation here and there.

The apartments are very small. For me personally, it was bad that there was no way in the bedroom to open a window. And to sleep in the living room (chen) with open ground-floor patio door ... only conditionally there is to sleep peacefully. For three people a maximum of one week to endure, four people do not go. Overall, a bit far from the center and the beach.

The blankets and towels smelled of cigarette smoke. Nothing was made and there were only 5 beds, and the fold-out bed was not cleaned, even though we had booked for 6. When you came in, everything smelled of light through the small bath, and someone bumped her head against the lamp on the small bunk bed all the time. No mosquito repellent, dirty spots on the walls.

Mooi, rustig gelegen hotel. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Wij hebben in een appartement gelogeerd. Deze was ruim, eenvoudig en comfortabel. Alleen de badkamer zou wel eens gemoderniseerd mogen worden!

Goed maar wat verouderd hotel. Grote kamer, oude inrichting. Ontbijt goed, diner matig. Sauna, tegen betaling en lekker zwembadje.

Nice hotel with nice spacious apartments, hospitable and friendly staff and excellent cuisine! I recommend it!

Perima spot despite the corona everything was perfectly arranged, both at dinner and breakfast we were there for three days two days of golf on the adjacent 9 lane golf course.
Also a must car is parked next to the hotel buggy out and walking across the golf course on perfecto !!! And oh yes the beach a little further away !!

I don't understand that this hotel gets 4 stars. They are NOT customer friendly, the rooms are moderate. There is a lot of overdue maintenance. Because there happened to be an event on the beach, as a guest you are initially told that you simply cannot eat there. We were only allowed to order something after the intervention of the receptionist, but the handling was otherwise not friendly at all. Absolutely not recommended !!

Great hotel. A bit old-fashioned, with a shower curtain and electric heating, for example. Nevertheless, a big plus that your dog can come. The beds are nice and staff are friendly. The breakfast is ok for the money. I would not pay for it separately but if it is included in the price then it is easy to do. If you usually have to be in Nes, then the distance is far (about 28 minutes by bus). But if you are at your place here then it is a good location.

Staying at the Fletcher hotel was very nice. Spacious room with nice bed. Kissing was only a bit hard, but that may be personal preference. Service was good and breakfast extensive and tasty.

Staff enormously friendly .... food is good and they really try to make something of it. Room horribly old. We had a room where the ceiling was cracked with moisture ... moisture and mold in every corner. Dirty carpet and actually this hotel should be classified as 1 star max. We were in the front part and that is really bad. Good thing the staff is so incredibly friendly and there is a top kitchen team. But the management of Fletcher had to be ashamed ....

Our room was nicer than in many standard hotel rooms, the swimming pool is wonderfully warm (and there was nobody when we were there), there is a sauna with wonderful showers, a fireplace where you can relax, a cafe where you can play card games, for example. to do. They had a delicious cocktail with elderberries and the food was also above average.

Perhaps not super luxury, but clean and well cared for (we were there in March 2014), and provided with a surprising number of facilities (including swimming pool).
The large photos on the walls of the corridors were nice, just like the Ameland anthem from the speakers!
For the three of us, we had a great room, because an apartment with a separate room for our 15-year-old son.
All this for a reasonable price. The next morning we were certainly not early at breakfast, but there was still plenty of everything available.
Only downside: one of the two coffee machines did not work, but that did not cause any significant problems.
The fireplace at the bar was a nice place, and the surroundings are naturally beautiful.
Also not unimportant: good beds! We woke up well rested.
In short: worth repeating, as far as we are concerned!

Apartments indeed dated but there is nothing wrong with that in itself. Excellent location relative to village and beach. Wonderfully warm swimming pool. Breakfast was good. We really enjoyed it.

Great hotel !! Nice spacious room and from the hotel in all directions within walking distance of everything to experience. Super nice environment with a large biodiversity and beautiful landscapes. You can reserve the sauna in the hotel itself and for 5, - per hour you get the key to the relax spa with showers, plunge pool and sauna! What a pleasure! Ohohohhh what a wonderful place to be

Hotel is dated on all fronts and needs to be modernized. Staff lacks guidance and therefore passion.

You will be scammed here it says that you have to pay 65 Euro on the site but you have to pay 120+ for example it includes linen but there you still had to pay 8.50 per person and there is a surcharge if you clean yourself and for the electricity.

Very outdated Hotel, .. no air conditioning, no mini bar. 2 small towels, no mat / towel on bathroom floor, and dirty shower curtain .. Forgotten room service ... after solving this .. buns not baked. Warm fruit ... etc etc .. never had a hotel so bad .. Fletcher do something about it !!!

The food is good and that's what it says. Little choice, service has no attention at all for customers. Is poorly cleaned.

What a top hotel. Nice hot water in the pool. Great not too extensive breakfast. Furthermore, clean and very spacious rooms. The water from the tap and shower is very soft. Light in a prime location with opportunities for walking and cycling through the dunes and the beach. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended!

Verouderd hotel maar wel schoon met veel faciliteiten. De kamers zijn erg ruim en netjes, prima dus maar geen 4 sterren waard vanwege de verouderde inrichting.

Lots of service, a family hotel look and feel. Rooms a bit noisy and dated, but it does not match the cozy atmosphere and beautiful location. We will certainly go more often.

Made use of the apartments. These are clean and nice looking.
However, it is recommended for 2 people. With 4 people it quickly becomes tight due to sofa bed. You will have to take that into account. Otherwise fine and good for each other.
