The rooms were clean and quiet, and the morning buffet had a lot of variety.

As usual we weren't disappointed by our stay at a Marriott hotel. It's San Diego which is by nature layed back and casual but the staff is still welcoming and caring. Nice that even the single bed room has a separate bedroom and living area.

Walls to thin. Nice service and good breakfast. Located in hotel circle in San Diego near mission valley and fashion mall.

Great hotel. We stay here often when visiting san diego and it's always been a great visit. Breakfast is decent but free which makes it great. Awesome pool for very little ones. Suites are clean and have plenty of amenities for a few days stay. Highly recommend this place!

minus the whole virus inconvenience impacting the extra amenities the staff if very friendly the only other issue I had was when I got out of the bath there was paint strips that had peeled of from inside the tub on my back and in the water because apparently we give the inside of tubs a fresh coat when bleach and other cleaning supplies dont work who knew. Overall still very happy with my stay.

The rooms make you feel like your at home. Location is centered around everything you need.

I previously did a quick review of this location whereby my focus was primarily on the people of which all of them appear to be exceptional. The units themseIves are a different story. We (my significant other and I) have stayed here for 6 mos and because of the covid 19 virus issues it has been cleaned only once and we clean it.The furnishings and unit are in need of a complete redo. With 6 months and lack of amenities we still pay their low rate (without taxes'as per code) and no discount for a total of $27,000!! Until Saturday we had never been given a bill. Since I felt the charges to my card were high I asked. Well, they were adding in a cost of $20 per night for parking although our rate as quoted never mentioned that "extra" which totals $3600 for the period we have been here! In effect over $30,000 even though our stay has been continuous. In their advertisements they say the rooms are left vacant one day between stays. If the condition of the unit were better and on a continuous basis the rate is high. I have a situation caused by a fire set by an individual as part of a group who are being vindictive thinking I had done something that I had not.

My family and I booked the family suite this past weekend. Room was clean, comfy, and price was convenient! I would have given 5 stars... However, the free breakfast is not worth it. The food looks like "display" food. Our food was cold, and gross, the choices few. We had to fork out extra money and ordered from Kings Diner close by.

The room was terrible, the walls thin, under stairs, insanely noisy. Bathroom in one of the bedrooms, incovienent and not very clean. Tattered appearance.

The location is close to lot of signtseeings. 10 min to sea world. The breakfast is very tasty and lots of options. The room is spacious with basic cooking set.

I generally choose Residence Inn when traveling with family. I appreciate the additional space offered and found the rooms to be consistent with my expectation. The check in process was easy and although I do not like having to pay for parking it has be nice to know that there will not be more vehicles than guest rooms. The rooms are Marriott rooms, I like them, but it is absolutely predictable. The breakfast had more space and tables available, but it is likely a result of the brand of hotel. Regardless it was enjoyable and made it feel less cramped while eating. The food is the same hotel fare although this location does have the "mini waffle iron"which is pretty awesome if you want some waffle without needing to dedicate a while plate to just the waffle. I found the employees at this location to be courteous and helpful when contacted and tolerant of my children behaving like children, not perfect but also not malicious or deliberately foolish. I would return to this location the next time I visit San Diego.

Location is awesome! Close to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Old Town, beaches, and more! The hotel is clean and comfortable. Good breakfasts in the mornings. I'm happy with my stay.

We have visited quite a few times with family staying at this hotel and it is very nice and the breakfast is really good. Right now they are doing some renovations and that is a little annoying.

Great experience. Room was clean and included a small kitchen and appliances. We were also provided with a pack n play for our baby to sleep in. Breakfast was served daily, buffet style in the lobby. Large variety of food and drink to choose from. There is a large pool, jacuzzi and kiddie pool - all of which are heated. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great extended stay hotel with a wide variety of evening snacks. It's a perfect place to stay for week+ trips to San Diego.

The gentleman that checked us in, Manny, was exactly that, a gentleman, very professional, very helpful, and very kind. I checked in yesterday Friday June 14 and we are checking out June 28, so far I could tell you that every department we have encountered are amazing, especially the older lady that brought us extra pillows and the young man at the breakfast area Joe, you cannot find better service of any sort in any hotel.

Not very clean at all. Stains all over the carpet and an elevator that doesn't always work. One of the worst mattresses I've ever slept on, and a housekeeping staff that relentlessly knocks on your door everyday at 9 am without fail! It's almost like they don't assume people on vacation stay here.

It was nice. Inside and out. The staff were friendly, helpful, and respectful. They practiced social distancing and provided the essentials via a bag left outside our door. I give them 4 stars. If they would have allowed the flyer girl to give us a flyer for food, and if they had rules/guidelines regarding pets that try to attack people, then I would have happily given 5 stars.

Very bad smell in one room and the other had german roaches. Very disapointed. Will not stay there again.

Accommodations are great, but the washer and dryers always have 1 or 2 broke down, so it gets hard to get laundry done

Very good value. Rooms were in excellent condition and the daily service was nice to have. The breakfast is very good with excellent choice of items. The evening mixer is also fabulous.

Despite a little mix up with confirming our room, things got straightened out and we thoroughly enjoyed this property. Staff really matters when picking a hotel and you will not find friendlier, more customer-service oriented staff than here. See you next time!

Rooms are clean, customer service was outstanding. If I could gripe on anything it would be the beds.But it's hard to please everyone. I prefer a more conforming bed is all. Overall great experience. Allot of hotels make everything so difficult to protect themselves. This place really cares about the customer.

Residence Inn by Marriott never disappoints. Rooms and beddings are clean. Free breakfast area is wide and open with a kid's area. Only knock on this location is that it's not as nice as the other newer Residence Inn's that we've been to.

Loved it! Pool is really warm, dinner and breakfast are huge! Staff was wonderful with my kids. Movie night, game night and bunk beds made it a really fun stay for the kids!

How sad. A Platinum member for years, who rents a senior rate room, gets bumped tonight as they are oversold! The onky reason i gave 2 stars is because they found another hotel brand. Furious with Marriott!

This hotel is everything you could want or need. Breakfast is a great variety and quality. Housekeeping did a great job and over the top! Stayed in a two room suite.

Housekeeping is the reason for my rating it was hit and miss and not consistent. After being gone all day l would walk in to a unmade room, no clean towels,bed unmade you get the picture??

Meh. Asked for a high floor, was given a room on the ground floor even though the hotel was only half full. Parking lot was full of construction equipment and most of the actual cars were parked in two spaces each. Parking costs 16.00, I expected to not have to shoehorn my car in the only 3/4 of a spot left. The room was ok, except the AC sounds like an idling freight train, and obscenely bright lights are mounted inexplicably directly outside the window, which has curtains that don't close. Lastly, the walls are very thin. I could hear everything the people in the room next door were doing. I wish I could unhear it.

Nice rooms. Dont count on getting your items back if you leave behind. I returned back to the hotel after 30 mins from check out and they told me that they could not find my headphones I left on the bed. I'm an Ambassador too. SMH

The only reason I don't give five stars is because it was difficult to connect to their WiFi during my stay. I look for WiFi in a hotel when I book, especially in today's world. I have to be able to post reviews, check my social media and communicate through email. Otherwise my stay at this hotel was perfect.

Nice place, well located, clean and good size rooms. The complimentary breakfast is a plus but the paid parking is a bummer!

Our room was strategically placed under the stairs, next to the gate into the courtyard, and next to an entrance. When we asked to move they were full but online you could still book a room. The room had stains but at least the associates were courteous.

They're currently under construction, but what's finished is beautiful! Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

While the hotel is a bit hidden away, once you find the location you feel as though you are miles from the freeway located just a few hundred yards away.

The only thing i dont like so far is that you have to pay 20 dollars each day for parking,but the website i used to book this hotel did not said anything about paying ,they should let people know that way it wont be a surprise,i just check out today and i didn't like the breakfast everything was very cold , for me i like warm food so its everyone taste but i wouldn't stay here again for this two reasons , i book thru hotels. Com

3.50 for a water in your room. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Customer service was very nice.

Set off the 8 freeway and you don't get the noise. Nice pool and spa. Clean. We had a 2 bedroom, 2nd room has bunk beds, understand the light switch at the side of both top and bottom bunks, but can see kids flipping them on and off all night haha. No views of anything special. Great location with malls and beaches close by. We would stay again.

Loved this hotel, very good place. Breakfast was awesome, people at the desk really want to have a good time and feel comfortable (Ryan is great), and the rooms are clean and big and always stocked with amenities and coffee. The location is perfect, very central to everything. Parking is available, the pool is nice. I would and will always stay here when in San Diego. Great place, definitely a top choice.

Great stay with the family. We stayed there for three nights when we had our place tented for termites. The staff was wonderful and the location is great. We turned it into a mini vacation and spent days at the Zoo and SeaWorld. Discounted tickets were available on iPads in the lobby which saved us time and money getting into the theme parks. Night time in the lounge area was great with the free beer and wine and we even made it to the pool a few times. The experience there was very enjoyable and we would recommend this property to anyone coming to San Diego.

The Residence Inn by Mission Valley has been an outstanding experience, thus far. The accommodations have been very comfortable and relaxing. The extra care in making me feel like a special guest is overwhelming. The staff has been professional, courteous and helpful with all my needs and concerns. She has made my stay very enjoyable through her sincere and likable personality and positive communication. Through my entire experience with Ellie and her wonderful staff I will recommend the Residence Inn by Mission Valley as a top choice for my organization in the future.

The high speed internet sucks here. Yes, The one you pay for... "the higher speed with a price tag." I can't even stream a movie without it pausing 10-100 times for a decent feed. Fix this please, it's 2018 get on the ball with technology. My 4g streams faster. Everything else was great..... But for the price of Speedy internet is a joke.
