Nice and clean room. Great breakfast. Only complaint is that the hot tub should be off limits to kids under 18 in the evening. I was trying to unwind at night and had kids running in and out of the hot tub, splashing, and doing laps. I'm quite sure they were making their own bubbles too....
Nice room, but my back didn't like the bed much. Breakfast was good, but nothing to race about. Not the worst Residence Inn I've stayed in, but not the best either.

Labor day weekend, I am a modest person, but the room was terrible, the sheets on the bed smelled awful.. it got into my clothes. There was puke or dried food near the nightstand. No soap in the bathroom, empty old bottles. The bathtub had rust in it, just terrible. Sticky floor and smelly couch. Hair in the bathroom floors and the door room was no shutting right.
Good experience, good location, but I think the lotion gave me a rash...although it also could have been the previous hotel's lotion instead
Jay and Marni were very friendly. Rooms were set up 100% with all the necessities. Thanks to all the housekeeping staff for their hard work they play a big roll in this review. Will definitely will go back!

Such a wonderful place! They have Netflix and wheelchair accessible suits. The only problem would be the fact that the beds arent seperated at all, and the food made me sick to my stomach.
We have 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with living room and full kitchen including oven and dishwasher. Very complete for families. 3 TVs. Everyone was happy. Good variety of breakfast. Food quality was very good. Reduced rates by Expedia. Very convenient location. Quick and close to airport . 2 thumbs up.
Very good breakfast and location is central to a lot of San Diego s attractions. Workout room above average for a hotel workout room. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Clean facility. Parking is $20/night but no problem getting a spot and parking lot is gated.

We were very happy with our stay. The location was perfect for a quick trip to the beach and the zoo. The room was a great size for our family. The property was well taken care of And we loved the full breakfast every morning. We will definitely stay here again.

Just Recently stayed there me and my family are very satisfied and i will go back for sure. The staff there is doing an amazing job , house keeping , to front desk. Manny was so helpful when we got there , he even referred us to some great restaurants, and so was the manager I forgot his name, So my son accidentally left his Nintendo switch and It actually fell behind the sofa (he s 4) and I called them and they were able to locate my sons Nintendo and there gonna fed ex it to my house. Thank you guys so much like i said great job keep it up , what the staff here is doing is amazing.
Got the two bedroom. The room was nice and clean, the staff was friendly. Parking spots are all very tight especially if you have a bigger car. My two biggest complaints are the walls are very thin, I could clearly hear my neighbors conversation when trying to sleep. Second is right outside my window was a lamp post that was very bright, even the blackout currents couldn't block it, dont understand why they didnt put it 3 feet to the left or right so it shine on the wall in instead of right into the bedroom. The kids really enjoyed their bunk beds though.

Nice hotel that has suites for big families. Great buffet breakfast included in mornings. Comfy beds although sofa bed is not. Pool and internet amenities including hooking up your Netflix or hulu if you have an account. Nice hotel central to attractions.

This is such a great place to stay. While I was here late April '14 they offered a complimentary happy hour with free beer and wine as well as a free dinner every night. Great place for a family wonderful pool and jacuzzi.
I was disappointed in my stay. I have stayed at Residence Inn and other locations in the past and have had great experiences. I will say that some of it is probably due to the covid-19 pandemic, however I just can't believe some of the things we had to go through.
On the first night we arrived there were several people behind the Hotel smoking in the parking lot. We went out a few hours later came back and there was a woman with all of her belongings outside of the back door. She was either squatting in the hotel and was being removed where was trying to move her things into the hotel. I had to call the front desk to advise them that she might have been homeless coming into the hotel because she was only wearing a partial shirt. The staff seemed concerned and by the time we returned at the end of the night her belongings and her were gone. The following day I noticed there was a room door open all night I again had to call the front desk to let them know. On the second night there was another homeless person wandering and sleeping behind the hotel. This time I did not advise the front desk.
On a Hospitality note, our room was not cleaned nor where our towels picked up. If this is something that has changed due to Cove in the understand but there should have been a better plan in place so they can pick up dirty towels even outside the room. On both nights we called the front desk to get towels and it took them over an hour for them to get to us. Once our small little trash can in the kitchen was full we had to leave our trash outside the door but no other trash bag was provided. Luckily I had my own small bags that I brought. On the website it does not state that the pool and Lounge area would be closed but it did say the things would be updated due to County regulations when we arrived at the hotel they notified us that the pool was closed.
And lastly I had to call the front desk twice regarding billing issues they charge for having a dog that wasn't stated during booking. Lola advised me that she would refund that to my card. Once I checked out I received another receipt that showed that they added it back on for another approximate $138. I had to call them back and let them know that through booking.com they specifically told me an amount I would have to pay plus parking but was not made aware of anything else. They ended up refunding the second amount again because I complained about not being made aware. This will be the last time I vacation during a pandemic and the last time I stay at the Residence Inn in Mission Bay.
Nice but typical residence inn. The Managers reception is great with local craft breweries on tap... Very nice. Only complaint is that it is only for 3 days!! If you arrive on a thurs-sun then you dont get to experience this differentiator over other hotels in the area.

Outstanding customer service, upgraded room. Standard breakfast but a Hugh area to eat. The pillows in all the Marriotts are not good and this one was no exception, I bring my own now. But the bed was comfortable. The hot tub had kids in it even in the morning, I don't like that, it is a pet peve, they had the large pool and a kiddie pool no reason to be in the hot tub too. I will definitely be back though.
Have been here now for almost 2 months and every day I have to come back to my room and pick up an assortment of menus off my floor... have complained to the staff as this is extremely annoying and all they say is they re doing their best to keep these people out... but still like clockwork they show back up everyday with the hotel doing absolutely nothing to stop them.... if they can t keep solicitors out I m pretty convinced that anyone that wanted to get in here could and in today s world security is priority... never know you could be letting your kids swim in the pool with a child predator that slipped in the side door... I d be extremely wary of staying here with the current situation of their security....
I'm sorry but when you have a faulty fire alarm system waking everyone up throughout the night, then there is a problem. Especially when you want to get up early to take the kids to Sea World. Thanks for the lack of sleep and dragging exhausted kids through Sea World. My family will need to do it again so we can enjoy it and obviously stay at a different hotel.
Room was ready 5 hours early which was great as we had a sick toddler that needed to chill for a bit. Staff here were amazing. The hotel itself is great. So glad we booked the San Diego portion of our vacation here.

This hotel seems like the best kept secret for San Diego lodging at a reasonable price. I have stayed here many times and the service is good, rooms are clean, amenities are well maintained and the property is in an easy and quiet location. It is only 8 minutes from the airport and just over ten to the San Diego convention center. I brought my whole team here for our last convention and the staff were extremely accommodating. We will certainly be back.
Staying here is very comfortable , staff makes everything feel like home as much as possible . Breakfast is amazing , every morning , delicious variety of eggs , waffles , fruit and more . Heated pool , gym , basketball court and dog run all available. Highly recommend staying here

Since the hotel has free WiFi it means anyone can connect to it even people who aren't staying at the hotel, making it hard to use and my family had to switch rooms because there were cockroaches in the room which most likely means the room service people don't do there job correctly.

The rooms were tidy and clean though a little outdated. The living room and kitchen areas were small but over all the size of the room fit our needs. The breakfast was yummy and the mixers in the evenings were a nice surprise. The parking was difficult if you stayed out late. We went to SeaWorld one day and stayed till after closing. By the time we got back, it was near impossible to find a spot to park. The hotel is a great central location, close to beaches, the zoo, SeaWorld, etc. We would stay again in a heartbeat! Over all we loved it and can't wait to come back, hopefully next summer!
Great spot. My family and I have been here several times. What really stands out about this place are the people. I have a little bit of status with Marriott and have stayed at a bunch. JW's, Marquis, Marriotts, among many others. At this property, the staff have gone so far out of the way to help, that it is amazing. In particular, I must give Tim at the front desk a big thank you. He really went out of his way to help us over our most recent stay. Thanks, Tim for the awesome job you did.
The Hotel: Very clean and well maintained. There are BBQ area right next to the pool. LOVE the free breakfast~ Not just continental breakfast (e.g. pastry & coffee), there are two different kind of scrambler eggs, sausage link, hash browns, biscuit with gravy, pancake, waffle, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, all kind of bread, coffee, tea, juice, etc. Totally breakfast buffet!!
The Service: The front desk staff was very sweet to upgrade our reservation when she found out we have 3 adults and 2 children. They gave us 2 bedrooms suite!! One room with a king size bed, the other room with the bunk bed and sofa bed in the living room. Perfect arrangement!
GREAT place. My clients house was being fumigated. Very nice and helpful staff. Awesome free breakfast buffet in the mornings and we're able to bring her poodle. Excellent, clean, quiet and the room had a full kitchen, separate bedroom area with 2 very comfortable queen size beds, a full bathroom and a separate living room, nice tv and full size and 2 full size chairs plus a dinner or writing table
The rooms are fairly large with a kitchen included. My room has a stove, microwave, and full sized refrigerator. Some rooms may have an oven, but mine doesn't. There's a free breakfast every morning and a social hour a few days a week, but no restaurant on property. The location is within easy driving distance of downtown San Diego, the airport, Coronado, and Point Loma.
I changed my rating from 2/5 to 5/5 because Michael was outstanding at assisting me getting a new room and made sure I was happy. Thank you!!! Breakfast is grab-and-go and pool is closed.
If you are concerned about your safety. This isn t the place for you. I am here for 5 days and within the first three days, I received 7 fliers under my room door selling Mexican food. I thought this was a vendor of the hotel and I ordered from them. Their food gave me food poisoning and I was also over charged without a receipt. So I wanted to contact the food place and realized that there was no locations on all the fliers. Just a phone number. That scared me because this could be anybody getting people sick. And by the way, I am 9months pregnant. This isn t the issue I need right now. So, I went to the hotel front desk to complain and ask for an address to the Mexican food place. You know what they said. We don t know this food company also but they have our keys and that s how they can get access in and out of the building. My thought is that a complete stranger can get your keys and walk around your hotels aggressively every single day poisoning your customers and you are okay with it? Now, every time I m going out, I have to put my stuffs in my car because I don t know who is who anymore.
Place is run down, typical of the area. I have been to SD many times and have stayed farther away to get a better hotel.
Nice clean hotel, Mix in afternoon had decent food and good beer.
Quiet area, but good location. Near the highway I8 and close to the fashion valley Mall. The hotel is clean and spacious. The room locations can be a bit confusing going from the lobby. Has a pool outdoors, but small gym. Social hour is nice and has free alcohol during that time, Monday-Wednesday. The rooms are fairly big and modern looking.
We check in and as i was walking towards the pool i notice a big Trump sing hanging from a window i ask jacob Vasquez about it and he replied with can't do nothing about it .so if he think its ok for that Then its not ok for me to stay here .......

Stayed here for four nights and actually loved it! We had a One bedroom suite that had two queen sized beds, living area and full kitchen.
Beds were great and housekeeping did an amazing job servicing our room. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and nice.
We never had a chance to enjoy the breakfast since we overslept everyday.
Overall hotel was in great condition and would love to stay again!
Good food in the buffet. They use feather pillows and the suite was clean. The twin beds ended up being bunk beds.
Staff was very nice. Breakfast serve in morning. On sunny days there is a pool. Little kitchen to cook. Great place for teams having games. Just need brighter light at night for the parking lot. But great place to stay.

Nice and clean hotel. The double room is especially nice for parties of four people. Breakfast looked better that it actually was, but was pretty good anyway. I disliked the fact they charge you $16 for parking (that is really unnecessary given the room prices). They also have a pool, jacuzzi, and gym. WiFi is acceptable, and again they try to charge you $5/day for "premium" access.
